Abstract

Latar belakang:Prestasi atlet bulutangkis didukung oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya ketahanan fisik. Salah satu komponen ketahanan fisik yang harus dimiliki oleh atlet bulutangkis adalah daya tahan aeorbik (VO2 max). Daya tahan aerobik yang kurang diperhatikan oleh atlet dapat menyebabkan menurunnya performa atlet pada saat bertanding. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah  untuk menganalisis hubungan kadar hemoglobin dan persen lemak tubuh dengan kapasitas VO2 max atlet bulutangkis.Metode:Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian explanatory research dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh atlet bulutangkis UKM bulutangkis UNNES dan UNDIP. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 32 sampel yang diambil menggunakan  teknik purposive sampling. Variabel yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini yaitu kadar hemoglobin, persen lemak tubuh dan kapasitas VO2 max. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, pengukuran persen lemak tubuh menggunakan BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis), pengukuran kadar hemoglobin dengan metode cyanmethemoglobin dan kapasitas VO2 max menggunakan metode Multistage Fitness Test. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dan Rank Spearman.Hasil: Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memiliki kapasitas VO2max sedang sebesar 46,8%, kadar hemoglobin normal sebesar 81,2%, dan persen lemak tubuh dalam kategori gemuk yaitu sebesar 40,6%. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara kadar hemoglobin dengan kapasitas  VO2 max (p=0,000) dan terdapat hubungan antara persen lemak tubuh dengan kapasitas VO2 max (p=0,035).Simpulan: Terdapat hubungan antara persen lemak tubuh dan kadar hemoglobin dengan kapasitas VO2 max atlet bulutangkis.

Abstract

Artificial sweetners are food additives which can cause a sweet taste in food, but it has no nutritional value. The artificial sweetners which are used exceeds the normal limits can affect for health, but in the fact artificial sweetners is used to reduce the cost of production and children at the school age are the most consument of instant drink in powder form. This research is purpose to determine correlation of elementary school students? knowledge and frequency consumption of instant drink in powder form. The types of research is used sectional cross design. The respondents for this research are elementary school students at three, four, and five grade as many as 81 people were take by simple random sampling. Bivariate analysis used Rank Spearman test. The result showed some knowledge of instant drink is good (72,6%) and frequency consumption are often (74,1%). Laboratory results of the three types of instant powder drrinks were tested (guava of Marimas, sweet mango of NutriSari, and Milo) showed guava of Marimas and sweet mango of NutriSari are positive containing saccharin(976,46 ppm) and (911,62 ppm), but Milo is not containing of saccharin. Stastistical test showed there was no correlation of elementary school students knowledge and frequency consumption of instant drink in powder from (p=0,473). Suggested from this result research that had good knowledge needs to be balanced by good manners as well in order to reduce the number of frequency of consumption of instant drink in powder form.

Abstract

Chronic energy deficiency (CED) are still common in adolescent in Indonesia. Nutrition education with booklets is needed in efforts to prevent CED in adolescent. The purpose of this study is to look at the effect of nutrition education using booklet media on changes in adolescent behavior related to CED prevention. This type of research is Quasy Experimental with pre-post test control group design. The number of samples in each group were 37 students. Samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique in accordance with the inclusion criteria and policies of each school. Nutrition education with booklet media is given to the intervention group for one month starting with socialization at the beginning of booklet distribution. Data analysis used Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, Mann Whitney, Independent T-Test, and Chi Square. In the initial conditions, there were no differences in knowledge, attitudes, energy adequacy levels, and protein adequacy levels in the two groups with p> 0.05. The results showed a difference in knowledge with p = 0.001 and an increase in scores of 2.5 ± 2.87, a difference in the level of energy adequacy with p = 0.001 and an increase of 15.4 ± 19.69%, and a level of protein adequacy with p = 0.007 and an increase of 16.2 ± 25.54% in the intervention group. However, there was no difference in attitude with p = 0.104 despite an increase in score of 0.3 ± 0.93. It can be concluded that the provision of nutrition education using booklet media is quite effective in increasing adolescent knowledge and practices in efforts to prevent CEDs in adolescents. However, less effect on changes in adolescent attitudes. The suggestion of this study is that teenagers, especially young women can improve the quality and quantity of nutrient intake, especially energy and protein sources.

Abstract

Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW) is one of the major nutrition problems that have an impact on neonatal mortality. The infant mortality rate (IMR) in Pati is ranked second in Central Java (8,4%). LBW prevalence in Indonesia is ranked ninth in the world. The prevalence of LBW cases in Pati Regency in 2017 was 3.7%. This study aims to prove that anemia and KEK of pregnant women as a risk factors for LBW infants in the working area of Juwana Health Center Pati Regency. This study was an observational analytic research with a case control approach. Sampling technique with quota sampling. Subjects were 20 cases of mothers who delivered LBW babies while in the control group as many as 20 were mothers who delivered to NBW babies. Data on hemoglobin levels and size of the upper arm circumference were taken from the children's maternal health books (book of MCH). Data on energy sufficiency level, protein sufficiency level, and iron intake were obtained by the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ). Data analysis by chi-square test. Anemia prevalence in the study was 45% while the prevalence of CED was 42.5%. Anemic women trimester II with an average Hb level of 10.7 ± 1.35 g/dL The use of iron intake was not higher (95%) than mothers who were not anemic (40%). Mothers CED with LiLA size ranges 23.7 ± 1.24 cm times have energy intake (95%) and protein (40%) is lacking. The research variables which risk factors of LBW were anemia in mothers (p = 0.001, OR = 9.333), CED in mothers (p = 0.004, OR = 7.429). Exposure to cigarette smoke was a confounding variable that associated with the incidence of LBW (p = 0.027). Attention to the nutritional status of women of childbearing age and pregnant women so that it can be known as early as possible the risk factors for KEK and anemia to prevent LBW cases.

Abstract

Health problems in the group of young women ages 12-19 years that are often encountered is anemia. The effects of anemia can cause ongoing stress and fatigue complications. The influencing factor is the lack of knowledge and attitudes of young women about anemia. Efforts to improve knowledge and attitudes in young women in anemia health problems can be through nutrition education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutrition education using posters on the level of knowledge and attitudes of adolescent female students. This research uses Pre-Experimental Design One Group with 36 research samples with purposive sampling technique. The research group was given a pre-test and then given nutrition education with Poster media, then post-test to be given after giving nutrition education with vulnerable time 2 weeks after being given a pre-test. The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge of the good category by 27.8% to 100% and an increase in attitude in providing good category interventions by 50% to 61.1%. Based on the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Paired t-test there are differences in the level of knowledge p = 0,001 (p <0.05) and there are differences in attitude p = 0,001 (p <0.05). The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of nutrition education on increasing knowledge and attitudes about Adolescent Girls' Anemia. The suggestion of this research is the boarding school and the government should increase knowledge about nutrition for young women with anemia so that they can provide good attitudes and practices to be prevented by young women who have anemia.Keywords: Counseling, Poster, Anemia Knowledge, Anemia Attitude,                    Young Women

Abstract

Chronic Energy Deficiency is a condition caused by an imbalance between intake and energy and protein needs. The impact of CED is low birth weight (LBW), congenital defects and neonatal mortality. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of nutrition education on knowledge and practice of prospective mothers related to prevention of pregnant women?s CED. This research used Quasi-Experimental method by using one-group pre-test - post-test design. The samples were 38 newlywed women taken by purposive sampling technique. The normality test used Shapiro Wilk. Data analysis used was Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and Chi-Square. The results showed an increase in the knowledge of good categories as much as 55.2%. In practice, there was a decrease in good practice category by 13.2%. The results of Wilcoxon test found that there was a difference between the knowledge before and after nutrition education with p-value = 0.001 (p <0.005) and there was a difference between practice before and after nutrition education with p-value = 0.003 (p <0.005). The results of chi square test found that there was no correlation between educational background with knowledge p-value = 0.089 (p> 0.005), there was no relationship between educational background and practice p-value = 0.393 (p> 0.005), there was no relationship between work background and knowledge value = 0.636 (p> 0.005), there is a relationship between work background and practice p-value = 0.029 (p <0.005). It can be concluded that there is an effect of nutrition education on improving knowledge of CED prevention but there is no effect of nutrition education on improving prevention practice of CED. The suggestion of this research is that the newlyweds woman do prevention of CED in the form of routine meals three times a day and maintain their diet.

Abstract

Latar belakang : Remaja putri yang kelebihan berat badan dengan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) dan persen lemak tubuh tinggi berisiko menderita sindrom metabolik. Beberapa penelitian melaporkan peningkatan asupan air putih dapat menurunkan berat badan, IMT, dan persen lemak tubuh. Tujuan : Mengetahui pengaruh asupan air putih terhadap berat badan, IMT, dan persen lemak tubuh pada remaja putri yang mengalami gizi lebih.Metode : Desain penelitian adalah pre-post test design without control. Populasi adalah mahasiswa di Asrama Kebidanan Ngudi Waluyo Ungaran usia 18-19 tahun. Jumlah subjek 26 mahasiswa dipilih secara simple random sampling sesuai kriteria inklusi. Perlakuan adalah asupan air putih 30 menit sebelum makan sebanyak 500 ml selama delapan minggu, namun hanya berjalan lima minggu karena penolakan subjek. Tidak ada intervensi pada asupan makanan dan aktivitas fisik. Berat badan diukur menggunakan timbangan injak digital Omron dan persen lemak tubuh diukur dengan Bioelectrical Impedance Analyzer (BIA) merk Omron. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Paired t test dan Wilcoxon.Hasil : Rata-rata asupan air putih, yaitu 90.82 % (±454 ml) setiap kali sebelum makan. Anjuran mengkonsumsi 500 ml air putih 30 menit sebelum makan selama 8 minggu sulit dilaksanakan sehingga perlakuan hanya berlangsung lima minggu. Tidak ada perbedaan berat badan (62.9±6.75 kg vs 62.5±6.73 kg, p=0.066) dan IMT (26.6±2.69 kg/m2 vs 26.4±2.71 kg/m2, p=0.071) sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan, namun terdapat perbedaan pada persen lemak tubuh (34.2±2.76 % vs 33.7±3.05 %, p=0.037). Tingkat asupan energi (p=0.713) dan aktivitas fisik sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan tidak mengalami perubahan.Simpulan : Asupan air putih 30 menit sebelum makan sebanyak 454 ml (90.82%) selama lima minggu pada remaja putri dengan gizi lebih yang tidak mengalami perubahan asupan energi dan aktivitas fisik tidak menurunkan berat badan dan IMT, namun menurunkan persen lemak tubuh.

Abstract

Background: Stunted overweight is associated with mild chronic inflammation. The state of inflammation will increase the expression of hepcidin, which affects the iron status of the body, besides the intake of protein, iron, and vitamin C.Objective: To analyze the correlation of hepcidin levels and food intake (protein, iron, vitamin C) with serum transferrin receptors (sTfR) and hemoglobin in stunted overweight adolescents.Method: The design of research was cross-sectional. The subjects were 64 adolescents stunted overweight aged 15-18 years in four high/vocational schools in the Banyumanik District, Semarang City. Measurement the level of hepcidin and sTfR was using the ELISA method and haemoglobin was using Cyanomethemoglobin method. Data on protein, iron, vitamin C intake was using the SQ-FFQ method. Bivariate analysis was using Pearson and Spearman correlation test then followed by multiple linear regression analysis.Results: The result showed that 89.1% subjects had adequate intake of protein, 54.7% subjects had low intake of vitamin C, 76.6% subjects had low intake of iron. Hepcidin levels in all subjects were 100% normal. There were 7.8% subjects with a low sTfR and 7.8% with a low haemoglobin level. Statistic test showed there was correlation between hepcidin with haemoglobin and sTfR (p1 = 0,010 r1 = -0,319, p2 = 0,001, r2 = 0,569). From food intake, only intake iron was correlated with haemoglobin but not with sTfR. There was significant difference between the mean of haemoglobin and sTfR among girls and boys. Further analysis, showed that only hepcidin was a weak negative determinant for sTfR (R2 = 0,120). The determinant factors for haemoglobin were gender (p=0,001) and hepcidin (p =0,004) with the value of R2 = 0,577.Conclusion: Hepcidin correlated with sTfR and haemoglobin while iron intake only correlated with hemoglobin.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Children under five years of age are included  in group of nutrition?s susceptible. They are on growth and development cycle which need a huge nutrient. The aim of this study is to understand the relationship between mother?s participation levels in posyandu and nutritional status of children under five years of age.Method: Study of analitical observation with cross sectional was used. Subject was a mother in Cangkiran, having children aged between 12-59 month. Subject was taken with proportional stratified random sampling technique. Mother?s participation in posyandu was taken from health care staff?s data, protein and energy intake were taken from food recall 3x24 hours, and nutritional status of children under five years of age was compared with Z-score of WHO 2005. Data was analyzed using Rank-Spearman and partial correlation used SPSS for Windows 19.0 software.Result: Approximately 56,4% of subjects have active participation?s levels in posyandu. Much of the children under five years of age from those have 80,6% good nutritional status (WAZ), 67,7% normal (WHZ), 61,3% normal (HAZ), and 61,3% normal (BMIAZ). There is a relationship mother?s participation levels in posyandu with nutritional status children under five years of age based on WAZ            (p = 0,030 ;  r = 0,651) but not for WHZ (p = 0,998 ;  r = 0,000), HAZ (p = 0,163 ; r = 0,191), and BMIAZ (p = 0,689 ; r = -0,055). This realtionship is also controlled by sufficient levels of energy             (p = 0,047 ;  r = 0,639) and protein (p = 0,003 ; r = 0,823).Conclusion: Increased participation levels of  mother?s in posyandu enhances nutritional status of children under five years of age (based on WAZ). Abstract

Latar Belakang : Masalah gizi yang biasa dialami remaja salah satunya adalah anemia. Anemia adalah keadaan dimana kadar hemoglobin (Hb) lebih rendah dari nilai normal, yang ditandai dengan lesu, pusing, mata berkunang-kunang, dan wajah pucat, sehingga dapat menyebabkan menurunnya aktivitas dan prestasi belajar karena kurangnya konsentrasi. Metode : Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 9 Semarang dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Subjek 90 remaja putri yang dipilih secara consecutive sampling. Kadar hemoglobin diukur menggunakan metode Cyanmethemoglobin, pengukuran berat badan dengan  menggunakan timbangan injak digital dan tinggi badan menggunakan microtoise. Asupan protein, zat besi, vitamin C, vitamin B12 dan folat sebagai variabel perancu diperoleh dengan metode Semi Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) kemudian dihitung dengan nutrisoft. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi Square kemudian dilanjutkan analisis multivariat dengan uji regresi logistik.Hasil : Hasil penelitian diperoleh 1,1% subyek memiliki status gizi sangat kurus, 3,3% kurus, 73,3% normal, 15,6% overweight, 6,7% obesitas dan sebanyak 26,7% mengalami anemia. Rerata kadar hemoglobin 12,6 ± 1,29 SD dan rerata nilai z-score berdasarkan IMT/U adalah 0,97 ± 1,18 SD. Dilihat dari asupan diketahui bahwa sebanyak 63,3% siswi yang asupan zat besinya kurang dari kebutuhan, sedangkan asupan protein, vitamin C, vitamin B12 dan folat sebagian besar sudah dalam kategori cukup. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan bermakna antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri (p=0,289). Ada hubungan asupan zat besi (p=0,000) dan asupan folat (p=0,006) dengan kejadian anemia. Hasil analisis multivariat menggunakan uji regresi logistik menunjukkan variabel asupan zat besi yang berpengaruh terhadap anemia (p<0,05).Simpulan : Tidak ada hubungan antara status gizi dengan kejadian anemia pada remaja putri.
