Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi dan lama perendaman ekstrak bawang merah serta interaksi keduanya terhadap viabilitas benih tomat kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakaan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Jurusan Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh dari bulan April sampai Juni 2018. Unit-unit penelitian disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial 5x3 dengan 3 ulangan dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur taraf 5% pada hasil uji F yang signifikan. Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah dengan 5 taraf yaitu 0, 25, 50, 75 dan 100%, sedangkan faktor kedua adalah lama perendaman dengan 3 taraf yaitu 12, 24 dan 36 jam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah terbaik terdapat pada konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah 25%. Lama perendaman tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tolok ukur pertumbuhan bibit. Tidak terjadi interaksi yang nyata antara konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah dan lama perendaman terhadap tolok ukur pertumbuhan bibit.Invigoration of Expired Tomato Seeds with Onion Extract at Various Concentrations and Soaking DurationsAbstract. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of onion concentration and soaking duration and interaction between them on the expired tomato seed viability. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology Department of Agrotechnology Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from April to June 2018. Treatment units were arranged according to Factorial Completely Randomized Design 5x3 in 3 replications, and the significant data than continued analized by Honestly Significant Different. The first factor was the concentrations of extract onion i.e 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%, and the second factor was durations of soaking i.e 12, 24 and 36 hours. The result showed the best concentration for invigoration was 25% of onion extract. Soaking duration does not have a significant effect on seedling growth. There is no significant interaction between the concentration of onion extract and soaking duration on seedling growth.

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study physiological and chlorophyll changes during seed ripening and find quick parameters as indicators to determine seed physiological maturity level. A randomized completely block design with 5 treatments and 3 replications was used in this research. The treatments were (1) dark green fruit, 42 days after anthesis (DAA), (2) yellowish green fruit, 47 DAA, (3) fully green fruit, 52 DAA, (4) brownish yellow fruit, 57 DAA, and (5) dark brown fruit, 62 DAA. The results showed that jathropa seed was physiologically mature at 57 DAA with criteria: fruit color was brownish yellow, fruit skin was soft and easily hand-opened, and seed was black. These were also supported by seed dry weight, germination percentage, germination rate and first count germination. There were negative relationships between seed chlorophyll content and germination percentage, germination rate and first count germination.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menentukan tingkat kemasakan buah kakao dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair Super ACI yang tepat, serta interaksi antara keduanya, untuk menghasilkan bibit kakao yang terbaik. Penelitian dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala sejak Agustus hingga Desember 2011. Unit-unit penelitian disusun berdasarkan rancangan acak kelompok faktorial 3 kali 4 dengan 3 ulangan. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam, dan terhadap data yang menunjukkan beda nyata, analisis dilanjutkan dengan uji beda nyata jujur pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi yang nyata antara tingkat kemasakan buah kakao dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair super ACI pada semua peubah yang diamati. Konsentrasi pupuk organik cair super ACI juga tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao. Tingkat kemasakan buah kakao yang tepat untuk menghasilkan benih masak fisiologis dengan tingkat vigor tertinggi adalah yang berwarna hijau kekuningan. The Effect of Fruit Maturity Level and Concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer Super ACI to Cacao (Theobroma cacao L.) Seedling GrowthABSTRACT. The purposes of this research are to determine the best cacao fruit maturity level and liquid organic fertilizer Super ACI concentration and also their interaction to achieve the best cacao seedlings. The research conducted at Experimental Station of Agriculture Faculty of Syiah Kuala University, from August to December 2011. Units of treatments arranged according to completely randomized block design, 3 by 4 with 3 replications. Data from observation analyzed with analysis of variance and to them showing significant influenced, continued with honestly significant different test at the level of 5%. The result showed that no significant interaction between treatments to all parameters observed. The concentration of liquid organic fertilizer super ACI also don?t has significant influence to cacao seedlings growth. The appropriate cacao fruit maturity level to produce physiologically matured seed with the highest vigor is those with yellowish green in color.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan konsentrasi auksin dalam hydropriming dan tingkat kadaluarsa serta interaksi keduanya terhadap viabilitas benih cabai kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakaan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Jurusan Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh dari bulan Maret sampai Juni 2018. Unit-unit penelitian disusun berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial 4x3 dengan 3 ulangan dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur taraf 5% pada hasil uji F yang signifikan. Faktor pertama adalah perendaman dalam larutan auksin dengan konsentrasi : 0, 2, 4, dan 6 g L-1 dan faktor kedua adalah tingkat kadaluarsa dengan 3 taraf yaitu 4, 8 dan 12 bulan. Benih yang telah diperlakukan dikecambahkan dengan metode Uji Diatas Kertas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan konsentrasi auksin berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum, indeks vigor dan kecepatan tumbuh relatif, berpengaruh nyata pada tolok ukur daya berkecambah dan keserempakan tumbuh. Tingkat Kadaluarsa berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum dan daya berkecambah. Perlakuan konsentrasi auksin  2 g L-1 dengan tingkat kadaluarsa 4 bulan merupakan kombinasi perlakuan terbaik berdasarkan tolok ukur potensi tumbuh maksimum (97,33%).The Effect of Auxin Concentrations in Hydropriming and Levels of Expired Chilli Seed to Seed ViabilityAbstract. The purposes of this research were to know the effect of auxin concentrations in hydropriming and levels of seed expired and interaction between them to chilli seed viability. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology Department of Agrotechnology Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from March to June 2018. Research units were arranged based on factorial Completely Randomized Design 4x3 with 3 replicates, continued with Honesty Significant Different on significant F-test results. The first factor was immersion in auxin solution with concentration: 0, 2, 4, and 6 g L-1 and the second factor was expired level with 3 levels 4, 8 and 12 months. Treated seed were planted on paper test method and in trays added with soil. The results showed that the auxin concentration treatment had a very significant effect on the maximum growth potential, vigor index and relative growth rate, significant effect on germination power and The expiration rate had a very significant effect on the maximum growth potential and germination power. Treatment of 2 g L-1 auksin concentration with 4 month expiration rate was the best treatment combination based on maximum growth potential (97,33%).

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian tentang pengaruh perlakuan biopriming terhadap viabilitas dan vigor benih terung kadaluarsa dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih dan Laboratorium Penyakit Tanaman Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh pada bulan Agustus sampai dengan Oktober 2017. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat dan spesies Trichoderma spp. serta interaksi antara konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat dan spesies Trichoderma spp. terhadap viabilitras dan vigor benih terung kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAL) pola faktorial dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat yang terdiri atas  4 taraf dan faktor kedua yaitu spesies Trichoderma spp. yang terdiri atas 3 taraf. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat terbaik dijumpai pada konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat 10%, baik yang dikombinasikan dengan T. harzianum maupun T. asperellum. Jenis Trichoderma spp. terbaik dijumpai pada T. harzianum pada semua konsentrasi ekstrak buah tomat.Kata kunci: Biopriming, Ekstrak Buah Tomat, Trichoderma spp..Biopriming Treatment Combination of  Tomato Extract and Trichoderma spp. to Viability and Vigor of Expired Eggplant Seeds Abstract. Research on the effect of biopriming treatment on viability and vigor of expired eggplant seeds was conducted at the Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology and Plant Disease Laboratory of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from August to October 2017. This study aims to determine the effect of tomato extract concentration and species Trichoderma spp. as well as the interaction between the concentration of tomato extract and species Trichoderma spp. to viability and vigor of expired eggplant seeds. This research was conducted by using Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial pattern with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor is the concentration of tomato extract consisting of 4 levels and the second factor is species  Trichoderma spp. which consists of 3 levels. The results showed that the best concentration of tomato extract was found in the concentration of 10% tomato extract, both combined with T. harzianum and T. asperellum. The best species of Trichoderma spp. found in T. harzianum in all concentrations of tomato extracts.Keywords : Biopriming, Tomato Extract, Trichoderma spp..

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis pupuk guano dan NPK serta mengetahui nyata tidaknya interaksi antara keduanya terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi tanaman tomat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Gampong Lamdom, Lueng Bata, Banda Aceh, dari Januari sampai April 2018. Penelitianmenggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola Faktorial dengan 12 perlakuan yang diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 faktor yaitu dosis pupuk guano 0, 4, 8, dan 12 ton ha-1 dan dosis pupuk NPK 0, 250, dan 500 kg ha-1. Abstract

Mimusops elengi is a medium-sized evergreen tree found in tropical forests in South? Asia, Southeast Asia and Northern Australia. Its timber is valuable, the fruit is edible, and it is used in traditional medicine. As the trees give thick shade and flowers emit fragrance, it is a prized collection of gardens. The problem of this plant is its seed that has dormancy. Dormancy fulfills an important function for plants since it allows seeds to survive conditions and seasons that are unfavorable for seedling growth. This study aims to determine the interaction treatment of physical and chemical in solving dormancy on the M. elengi seed. The experiment was conducted at Laboratory of Seed Science and Technology at Juni to October 2017. There were two factors that were studied, namely the first factor of physical treatment by soaking the seeds in hot water with the level of 0, 60, 120, and 180 hours and the second factor of chemical treatment using 97% sulfuric acid with level 0, 10, 20 and 30%. The parameters measured were maximum growth potential, germination capability, vigor index, relative speed of growth, simultaneously of growth, time to reach 50% germination total and dormancy intensity. The conclusions of this study are the best soaking duration for dormancy seed breaking of M. elengi is in water at 60 ?C for 180 minutes. The best concentration of sulfuric acid for breaking seed dormancy is 20%. There was a significant interaction between the duration of soaking in hot water and the concentration of sulfuric acid on all observed parameters. The best combination was found at duration of soaking of 180 minutes in hot water 60 0 C and sulfuric acid concentration 20% can accelerate germination of M. elengi seeds from 90 days (without treatment) to 24 days (after treatment).? There was an increase in germination capability from 20% to 68%,? maximum growth potential 73.33%, vigor index 33.33%, relative speed of growth 67.31%, simultaneously of growth 61.31%, time to reach 50% germination? total 31.50 days and dormancy intensity.?Keywords: Dormancy, physical and chemical, spanish cherry, viability, vigor

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis ekstrak dan konsentrasi ZPT organik dalam peningkatan viabilitas benih kedelai kadaluarsa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih Program Studi Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala, Darussalam Banda Aceh. Penelitian berlangsung dari bulan Agustus sampai September 2018. Penelitian ini  menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola faktorial dengan tiga kali ulangan. Faktor yang diteliti ada dua faktor yaitu faktor jenis ekstrak dan konsentrasi. Faktor jenis ekstrak terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu ekstrak jagung, ekstrak tomat, dan air kelapa. Faktor kedua yaitu konsentrasi yang terdiri dari 3 taraf yaitu, 20%, 40% dan 60%. Parameter yang diamati adalah daya berkecambah, kecepatan tumbuh, keserempakan tumbuh, dan berat kering kecambah normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terjadi interaksi yang nyata antara jenis ekstrak zpt organik dengan konsentrasi yang berbeda dalam peningkatan viabilitas benih kedelai kadaluarsa. Pada parameter daya berkecambah, kecepatan tumbuh, dan keserempakan tumbuh nilai terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak jagung 20%. Sedangkan pada berat kering kecambah normal nilai terbaik diperoleh pada perlakuan konsentrasi ekstak tomat 60%.The Effect Of Extrac Type and Concentration Of Organic PGR by Increasing Viability to Expired Soybean Seeds (Glycine max L.)Abstrac. This research aims to study the effect of the type of extract and concentration of organic PGR to increase viability of expired soybean seeds. This research was conducted at the Seed Science and Technology Laboratory of the Agrotechnology Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh. This research had been conducted from August to September 2018. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern with three replications. The factors studied were two factors: extract type and concentration. The type of extract factor consists of 3 levels namely corn extract, tomato extract, and coconut water. The second factor is the concentration consisting of 3 levels 20%, 40% and 60%. The parameters observed were germination, growth speed, simultaneous growth, and normal sprout dry weight. The results showed that there was no significant interaction between the types of organic PGR extract with different concentrations. On the germination power parameters, growth speed, and growing similarity of the best values were obtained in the combination treatment of 20% corn extract concentration. While the normal sprout dry weight of the best values were obtained in the combination treatment of 60% tomato extract concentration.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perbandingan media tanam dan beberapa konsentrasi mikroorganisme lokal terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kakao. Penelitian ini dilaksanakaan di Kebun Percobaan 2 dan Labaratorium Hortikultura, Jurusan Agroteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh dari bulan Juli sampai Oktober 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 4 x 4 dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 48 satuan percobaan dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata  Jujur taraf 5% pada hasil uji F yang signifikan. Faktor pertama adalah perbandingan media tanam dengan 4 taraf yaitu: kontrol-2 tanah : 1 pupuk kandang (M0), 2 tanah : pupuk kandang : 1 sekam bakar (M1), 1 tanah : 2 pupuk kandang : 1 sekam bakar (M2), 1 tanah : 1 pupuk kandang : 2 sekam bakar (M3). Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi mol bonggol pisang dengan 4 taraf yaitu 0, 10%, 20% dan 30% L-1 air. Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi bibit, diameter pangkal batang, jumlah daun, berat berangkasan basah dan berat berangkasan kering. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, perlakuan perbandingan media tanam berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap semua parameter. Pemberian beberapa konsentrasi mikroorganisme lokal berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah daun bibit kakao umur 8 MST dan berpengaruh sangat nyata pada jumlah daun bibit kakao umur 12 MST. Terdapat interaksi yang nyata antara perlakuan media tanam M0 dan konsentrasi mol 20% (M2).The Effect of Plant Medium and Local Microorganism Banana Tuber on the Growth of Cocoa Seedling (Theobroma cacao L)Abstract. The purposes of this research were to know the effect of comparison media planting and several concentrations of local microorganism on the growth of cocoa seedlings. This research was conducted at Experimental Garden 2 and Horticulture Laboratory, Department of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from July to October 2018. This study used a Randomize Block Design of 4 x 4 factorial pattern with 3 replication, so that were 48 experimental units and continued with a Honestly Significance Difference 5% level on significant F test result. The first factor is the comparison medium planting of 4 levels : control- 2 soil : 1 manure (M0), 2 soil : 1 manure : 1 hueks fuel (M1), 1 soil : 2 manure : 1 hueks fuel (M2) and 1 soil : 1 manure : 2 hueks fuel (M3). The second factor is the concentration of local microorganism of 4 levels: 0 (P0), 10% (P1), 20% (P2) and 30% (P3) L-1 water. Parameters observed were plant height, stem base diameter, number of leaves, wet weight and dry weight. The result showed that the treatment of comparison planting medium had unsignificantly effect on all parameters. Consentrations of local microorganinism has a significant effect on the number of leaves of cocoa seedlings aged 8 WAP and has a very significantly effect on the number of leaves cocoa seedlings aged 12 WAP. There is significantly effect between the treatment of comparison planting medium control-2 tanah : 1 pupuk kandang (M0), and local microorganism concentrations 20% (P2).

Abstrak. Kopi merupakan bahan minuman yang memiliki aroma, rasa dan khasiat yang khas biji kopi mengandung kafein, kafein banyak digunakan dalam bentuk obat, makanan dan minuman produksi kopi dipengaruhi oleh teknik budidaya tanaman kopi salah satunya bagian pemupukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh jenis pupuk organik cair pada berbagai konsentrasi terhadap pertambahan pertumbuhan vegetatif kopi arabika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakaan di Kebun Rakyat Desa Keudah Penosan Sepakat Kecamatan Blangjerango Kabupaten Gayo Lues dari bulan April sampai Juni 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial 2 x 4 dan 3 ulangan, sehingga terdapat 24 satuan percobaan pada hasil uji F yang signifikan dilanjutkan dengan uji Beda Nyata Jujur taraf 5%. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk organik cair dengan 2 taraf yaitu: pupuk organik cair nasa dan pupuk organik cair mol Faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi dengan 4 taraf yaitu, 2, 4, 6, dan 8 cc L-1 air. Parameter yang diamati adalah pertambahan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, pertambahan pertumbuhan diameter pangkal batang, pertambahan pertumbuhan panjang cabang Plagiotrop, pertambahan pertumbuhan jumlah daun cabang plagiotrop dan pertambahan pertumbuhan jumlah cabang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis pupuk organik cair nasa berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman umur 90, pertambahan pertumbuhan diameter pangkal batang umur 60 hari dan pertambahan pertumbuhan jumlah cabang plagiotrop umur 90 hari. Konsentrasi berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertambahan pertumbuhan panjang cabang plagiotrop umur 90 hari konsentrasi terbaik yaitu 2 cc L-1 air pada jenis pupuk Mol dan tidak terdapat intraksi nyata. The Effect Type of Liquid Organik Fertilizer at Varius Consentration Vegetative Growth Arabica Caffea (Coffea arabica L.) Abstract.Coffee is a beverage that has the aroma, taste and special quality. Coffee beans contains caffeine, caffeine is widely used as medicine, food and beverages. Coffee production is influenced by coffee cultivation techniques, one of the techniques is fertilization. This study aims to determine the effect of types of liquid organic fertilizer in various concentrations on the increasing of vegetative growth of arabica coffee. This research was carried out at citizenry plantation, Keudah Penosan Sepakat Village, Blangjerango District, Gayo Lues Regency from April to June 2018. This study used a Factorial-Randomized Block Design 2 x 4 and 3 replications and there were 24 experimental units. The results of the significant F test is continued by Honest Real Difference test level of 5%. The first factor was the type of liquid organic fertilizer with 2 treatments : Nasa liquid organic fertilizer and mol liquid organic fertilizer. The second factor was concentration with 4 treatments :  2, 4, 6, and 8 cc L-1 water. The parameters observed were the increase of plant height growth , stem root diameter growth,  plagiotropic branch length growth, the number of leaves of plagiotropic branches growth and the number of branches. The results showed that the type of liquid organic fertilizer had a significant effect on the increase of plant height 90 DAP, the increase of stem root diameter growth and the increase of the number of plagiotropic branches 90 DAP. Concentration has a significant effect on the increase of the plagiotropic branch length 90 DAP. The best concentration is 2 cc L-1 water with Mol fertilizer and there was no real intraction.
