Abstract

Tantangan untuk menghadapi persaingan pada bisnis alat-alat berat mengakibatkan PT ABC Tbkharus dapat meningkatkan kinerja divisi yang berhubungan dengan kegiatan purna jual (divisi service). Pelatihandan motivasi karyawan dapat meningkatkan kinerja karyawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisistingkat persepsi karyawan terhadap pelatihan, motivasi, dan kinerja karyawan; (2) menganalisis pengaruh pelatihanterhadap kinerja karyawan; (3) menganalisis pengaruh motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan; and (4) menganalisispengaruh pelatihan dan motivasi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptifmelalui kuesioner. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 71 karyawan divisi service pada PT ABC Tbk.Data diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner, kemudian dianalisa menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi karyawan terhadap pelatihan, motivasi, dan kinerja tergolong baik.Hasil penelitian menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda menunjukkan bahwa motivasi berpengaruh nyataterhadap kinerja, namun pelatihan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kinerja. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebutdan untuk meningkatkan kinerja karyawan, saran untuk manajemen adalah : (1) menyelenggarakan pelatihan yangsesuai dengan tugas dan tanggung jawab karyawan; (2) memerhatikan lingkungan kerja untuk menjaga motivasikaryawan; (3) menjaga semangat kerja karyawan.Kata kunci : kinerja, motivasi, pelatihan, regresi linier berganda.

Abstract

The constant change and rapid growth of the business world could create turbulence in a business organization, therefore, the business professionals have to continuously increase their skill and ability to be able to maintain the existence and even improve the condition of their business in this highly competitive world. A company would reach its optimal performance when there is an alignment between its business organization and the surrounding environment filled with no strategic gap. If good strategic planning is already in place, then the other crucial aspect to be analyzed would be the external factors outside an organization. The purpose of this is to measure and understand the behaviors and effects of those external factors towards the company through threats as well as opportunities. There are five level of environment turbulence: Repetitive, Expanding, Changing, Discontinuous and Suprising. The case study in this research concludes that all seven petrochemical companies have done a consistent and continuous strategic planning. The environment turbulence level is on two grades, Expanding and Changing, however, the most dominant is Expanding. The avarage score calculation also showing the same result, Expanding.

Abstract

Manpower or HR expert or professional desired by the company, then to improve the competence of human resources, the government has formulated the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI) in various fields one of them in the field of MSDM. SKKNI is nationally applicable as a reference for the provision of professional education and training (training), competency test and professional certification in the field of MSDM. This standard has been endorsed by the minister of labor and transmigration on September 9, 2014. SKKNI contains competencies related to HR management that are relevant to different types of business. Data collection in this research using survey method involving 51 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in this research is done by using SEM method. The results of this study show that SKKNI has no significant effect on human resource competence and HR professional development, human resource competence has significant effect on Company Policy but human resource competence has no significant effect to HR professional development, company policy has significant effect to the development of HR profession

Abstract

This research is aimed to make a performance management design based on MBO and Balanced Scorecard perspective approach in order to improve education and training administration. Performance accountability stimulates public sector organizations to improve their performance continuously and to build a performance management system that is oriented not only toward the budget and its realization, but also toward results. This paper discusses MBO and Balanced Scorecard perspective approach in planning and controlling its programs. In addition, this model can be used as a strategic controller for the management to measure the organization’s success and failure. This is a qualitative research approached by a case study using the method of participant observation through questionnaires, in depth-interviews, and focused group discussions. The success of education and training administration is determined by performance achievements of the individual, division, and organization that include financial aspect, participants of the education and training program, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), administrators of the program, technology, and innovation. The resulted design is a four-stage flowchart describing planning, implementation, measurement, and performance evaluation.Keywords : Performance Management, Design, Education and Training, Management by Objectives (MBO), Balanced Scorecard Perspective

Abstract

PT X is a major regional pharmaceutical company that develops and markets innovative products in Indonesia and other countries in South-East Asia. The high turnover rate in PT X indicates a further need to be explored about this condition and see if it is affected by employee cohesiveness and job satisfaction. This study uses quantitative approach with questionnaires that distributed to 120 head office employees with convenience sampling method. The result of structural equation modeling analysis shows that the better employee cohesiveness will increase the job satisfaction so that it can decrease the employee's desire to resign from the company. Cohesiveness has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. In this case cohesiveness plays an important role in improving job satisfaction because having a cohesive group will affect employee satisfaction. Cohesiveness and job satisfaction have a significant negative impact on turnover intention. This suggests that cohesiveness and job satisfaction play an important role in decreasing employee intent turnover, even though the effect of cohesiveness is less than the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to analyze the employee workload, and calculate the optimum labor at PTPN IV. Work sample was the method used to analyze the workload of the employees, and WISN (Workload Indicator of Staffing Needs) was used to calculate the optimum labor. Through the work sample collection technique of WISN, the analysis of workload and calculation of labor were conducted. The utilization of working time of the plant assistants was 77.5 % for their productive activity, 13.7 % for their personal activity, and 8.3 % for their-non-productive activity. Furthermore, the utilization of working time of the processing technique assistants was 82.1 % for their productive activity, 11.7 % for their personal activity and 6.2 % for their non-productive activity. This shows that the workload for the plant assistants is reasonably high and that for the processing techniques assistants is high. Through the method of WISN, the average calculation results showed that there is an excess of two employees of plants and a shortage of two employees for the processing technique. The managerial implications that can be used as input include the need of the company to conduct a reassessment of the planning of Human Resources of PTPN IV functional unit in terms of recruitment, competency and conducted training.Key words: workload, work sampling, labor requirement, WISN

Abstract

ABSTRACTIt is generally believed that there is a positive relationship among the following three variables, which are cohesiveness, job satisfaction, and job performance. Good job performance of a group of workers needs good coorperation among the group members. Good cooperation can be viewed as the outcome of group cohesiveness. In addition, good job performance needs good job satisfaction. Furthermore, it is also commonly believed that group cohesiveness is positively related with job satisfaction. The objective of this study is to empirically test the phenomenon by conducting a survey on 102 respondents who are administrative staff in Bogor Agricultural University. A quantitative model namely Structural Equation Model (SEM) was utilized. It is concluded that cohesiveness positively effects job satisfaction as well as well as job performance. However, it is found that there is no statistically significant effect of job satisfaction on job performance.ABSTRAKUmumnya dipercayai bahwa ada hubungan positif antara tiga variabel berikut, yakni kohesivitas kelompok, kepuasan kerja, dan kinerja. Kinerja kelompok membutuhkan kerja sama di antara para anggota kelompok. Kerja sama yang baik dapat dipandang sebagai buah dari kohesivitas. Tambahan pula, kinerja yang baik membutuhkan kepuasan kerja yang baik pula. Lebih lanjut, lazimnya dipercayai bahwa kohesivitas berhubungan dengan kepuasan kerja. Studi ini secara empiris menguji fenomena tersebut dengan menggunakan survei terhadap 102 responden yang adalah tenaga kependidikan di Institut Pertanian Bogor. Model kuantitatif menggunakan Structural Equation Model (SEM). Ditunjukkan bahwa kohesivitas berpengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan kerja maupun terhadap kinerja. Namun ditemukan bahwa tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari kepuasan kerja pada kinerja.

Abstract

PT Bank BNI Syariah, in achieving its targets and the company goals, it required qualified human resources (HR), which were capable of synergizing among fellow employees. This study was analyzing the influence of organizational culture and group cohesiveness on employee job satisfaction. A quantitative approach and purposive sampling technique was used to interview respondents. The Data were analyzed by Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of PLS analysis showed that applying organizational culture and increasing group cohesiveness could increase job satisfaction. Organizational culture had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. In this case, organizational culture played an important role in increasing job satisfaction. Since employees who were able to understand and apply organizational culture in a good manner will deliver job satisfaction. Organizational cultural value guided employees to behave so that its application influenced employee behavior that leads to the creation of job satisfaction. Group cohesiveness had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. It affected employee job satisfaction; the higher group cohesiveness gave better job satisfaction. Moreover, organizational culture also had a significant positive influence on group cohesiveness.Keywords: cohesiveness, job satisfaction, organizational culture, PLS, Sharia Commercial BanksAbstrak: PT Bank BNI Syariah dalam mencapai targetnya sendiri dan tujuan perusahaan, diperlukan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang berkualitas yang mampu bersinergi di antara sesama karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh budaya organisasi dan kekompakan kelompok terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling untuk memilih responden. Data dianalisis dengan bantuan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil analisis PLS menunjukkan bahwa menerapkan budaya organisasi dan meningkatkan keterpaduan kelompok dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja. Budaya organisasi berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Dalam hal ini, budaya organisasi memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan kepuasan kerja karena karyawan yang mampu memahami dan menerapkan budaya organisasi dengan baik akan memberikan kepuasan kerja. Nilai budaya organisasi memandu karyawan dalam berperilaku, sehingga penerapannya akan memengaruhi perilaku karyawan yang mengarah pada terciptanya kepuasan kerja. Keterpaduan kelompok memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja. Ini akan mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja karyawan; semakin tinggi keterpaduan kelompok, semakin baik kepuasan kerja karyawan. Selain itu, budaya organisasi juga memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap kekompakan kelompok.Kata kunci: kohesivitas, kepuasan kerja, budaya organisasi, PLS, Bank Umum Syariah

Abstract

The training program is an effort to improve performance. Excellent performance requires good cooperation from every employee. This study aims to investigate the effect of training programs and cohesiveness on teacher performance. This study used descriptive analysis and quantitative data. Data were processed using the structural equation model (SEM) based on partial least square (PLS) estimation. The study used questionnaires to collect data. The results show the training program significantly influenced the level of cohesiveness of the teacher. Furthermore, training programs significantly influenced teacher performance. The formation of teacher performance variables was influenced by the teacher?s social relation dimension. Hence, cohesiveness significantly affected teacher performance. The formation of cohesiveness variable was influenced by individual interest in the group assignment dimension.Keywords: group, job performance, cohesiveness, pls, training programAbstrak: Program pelatihan merupakan upaya untuk meningkatkan kinerja. Kinerja yang baik membutuhkan kerja sama yang baik dari setiap karyawan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh program pelatihan dan kekompakan terhadap kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan data kuantitatif. Data diolah menggunakan structural equation modelling (SEM) menggunakan metode partial least square (PLS). Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa program pelatihan dapat mempengaruhi tingkat kohesivitas guru secara signifikan. Program pelatihan juga secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja guru. Dimensi yang paling mempengaruhi pembentukan variabel kinerja guru adalah hubungan sosial guru. Kohesivitas pengajar dapat secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja pengajar. Dimensi yang paling mempengaruhi pembentukan variabel keterpaduan adalah dimensi ketertarikan individu dalam tugas kelompok.Kata kunci: kelompok, kinerja, kohesivitas, pls, program pelatihan

Abstract

MSMEs have an important role and strategic in national economic development. The presence of MSMEs can increase workforce absorption, encourage economic growth and distribution of development results. In managing SMEs, skills and knowledge are required by the owner to be able to run the business properly, which can be acquired through the corporate management training program. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of a corporate management training program by seeing the competencies and performances of business owners after participating in training and creating an effective strategy to increase performance through the corporate management training program. The sample collection method in this study is census sampling from 30 respondents who participated in a management training program. Collected data is analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) Smart PLS 2.0 program for all variables and also Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The result of the findings shows that training influenced competency and performance significantly, while competency also influenced performance significantly. The alternative strategy that becomes a priority is to adjust the training topic specifically according to business owner needs. This study will be useful for institutions or training organizers for MSMEs in the future. Keywords: management training, competencies and performances, MSMEs, SEM-PLS, AHP
