Abstract

Abstract: The Application of Mind Map Model using Graphic Media in Improving Social Science Learning for the Fourth Grade Students of Elementary School. The objectives of this research is to describe steps of Mind Map model using graphic media in improving social science learning for the fourth grade students of  elementary school.  This research is collaborative Classroom Action Research. Subjects of this research were 24 students of the fourth grade at SDN Kembaran. The results of this research show that the increase of learning results in each cycles. Percentage of students learning outcome in the first cycle 85,42%, in the second cycle increased to 89,2 %, and in the third cycles increased to 95,65 %. The conclusion of this research is the application of Mind Map model using graphic media can be improve social science learning for the fourth grade students of SDN Kembaran in the academic year of 2014/2015. Keyword: Mind Map, graphic,  learning, social science  Abstrak: Penerapan Model Mind Map dengan Media Grafis dalam Peningkatan Pembelajaran IPS pada Siswa Kelas IV SD. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah model Mind Map dengan media grafis dalam peningkatan pembelajaran IPS pada siswa kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian adalah 24 siswa kelas IV SDN Kembaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar di setiap siklusnya. Persentase hasil belajar siswa siklus I  85,42%, siklus II meningkat menjadi  89,2%, dan siklus III meningkat menjadi 95,65%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan model Mind Map dengan media grafis dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran IPS pada siswa kelas IV SDN Kembaran tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi dari masing-masing gaya belajar (gaya belajar visual, auditorial, kinestetik) terhadap prestasi belajar matematika pada siswa kelas X MAN. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini adalah dengan teknik purposive sampling dan snowball sampling. Analisa data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu data reduction, data display dan conclusion drawing/ verification. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan gaya belajar visual dan auditorial sama-sama memberikan kontribusi yang tinggi terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Siswa dengan gaya belajar kinestetik memberikan kontribusi yang rendah terhadap prestasi belajar matematika. Secara keseluruhan dari ketiga gaya belajar tersebut, gaya belajar visual memberikan kontribusi yang paling baik terhadap prestasi belajar matematika karena memiliki skor yang paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan gaya belajar auditorial dan gaya belajar kinestetik.   Kata kunci: gaya belajar, prestasi belajar matematika

Abstract

Problems encountered in the prevention and treatment of  HIV/AIDS in Tasikmadu Karanganyar is the poor ability of the community to identify local health issues (HIV/AIDS). The purpose of this study is to examine and identify the factors related to the ability of communities to identify local health problems in HIV/AIDS in Tasikmadu Karanganyar. The study was observasonal analytic cross sectional design. The population in this study were all health cadres in Puskesmas Tasikmadu Karanganyar. The sample was 90 people taken by cluster random sampling technique. Independent variable was the level of education, access to information, the survey introspective, leadership and the dependent variable was the ability of communities to identify local health issues (HIV/AIDS ). The research instrument was questionnaire used to collect data. The analysis of this study used regression multiple linear. The results showed that the level of education, access to health information, surveys introspective and leadership contributed to the increased capacity of communities to identify local health issues (HIV/AIDS) by 74%. The conclusions in this study is no significant effect simultaneously and education level, access to health information, surveys introspective and leadership to the ability of communities to identify local health issues (HIV/AIDS) at p = 0.000.   Keywords: Identification, Health Issues, Local, HIV/AIDS

Abstract

The objective of this research is to find  out whether there is improvement of students’ micro skills of listening achievement after being taught through drills technique. This research was quantitative research using one group pretest-posttest design. The researcher used one class as the experimental group and it was selected by using simple probability sampling. The population of this research was the second year students of SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung that consists of seven classes. The result of the research showed that there is a significant difference of students’ achievement in micro skills of listening. The mean score of pre-test was 47.52 and post-test was 57.55. By comparing between the mean of pre-test and post-test, it can be found that the increase of the mean was 10.03. It proved that the students’ scores increase significantly because the value of t-ratio is higher than t-table (9.229>2.042). It can be concluded that there is a significant difference of students’ achievement in micro skills of listening before and after being taught through drills technique.Keywords: drills, increase, listening, micro skills.

Abstract

The management of P nutrition can be a good solution for aluminum toxicity and P nutrient deficiency in acid soil. This study aimed to determine the role of phosphorus in improving the tolerance of sorghum to Al stress in nutrient culture. This research was conducted at green house of IPB Bogor, tissue culture laboratory in the Department of AGH IPB and Balai Besar Pasca Panen Cimanggu Bogor, from January to November 2014. A completely randomized factorial design was used in three experiments. The results revealed that addition of P improved the tolerance of two sorghum genotypes to Al stress as indicated by the reduction in root length inhibition by Al, where  P was more effective in tolerant genotype Numbu. Addition of P reduced the accumulation of Al in the root tissues as shown by the lighter intensity of hematoxylin staining, especially in Numbu. Aluminum stress increased the secretion of oxalate acid in both sorghum genotypes, where P lowered oxalate acid secretion in both genotypes. These facts showed that the role of P in improving the tolerance of sorghum to Al stress might be associated with the inhibition of Al absorption into the root tissues, although the mechanism is not yet known.Keywords: Al stress, organic acid secretion, role of P, root staining method, sorghum

Abstract

Bangka Island is known to have red-yellow podzolic soil type with acid characteristic and is rarely to take as agricultural land. Planting cassava in local area might be a source for local food needs diversify. The purpose of this study was to determine the productivity of the 10 genotypes cassava landrace on red-yellow podzolic soils type. The experiment conducted in the Balunijuk village, Bangka as reference. Experimental design used randomized block design with 10 genotypes Bangka cassava landrace (Upang, Sekula, Bayel, Mentega, Kuning, Batin, Pulut, Sutera, Rakit and Selangor) as treatments. The results showed that 10 genotypes cassava tested produce well on a red-yellow podzolic soils. Morphological analysis performed on tuber parts of Bangka cassava landrace showed outer skin color, skin and tuber flesh color were vary among genotypes. Sutera had the highest tuber production for 2960 g/plant. Cluster analysis based on isozyme markers divided in two groups with similarity coefficient of 0.742. First group consisted of genotype upang, bayel, mentega, pulut, and sutera. Second group consisted of genotype sekula, batin, kuning, rakit, and selangor.

Abstract

This research is based on the academic problem which is the students? obstacle or difficulty in planning, implementing and maximizing the learning development. By taking the case in UPI Campus Tasikmalaya, there are some academic problems faced by the students. In this study the samples taken are students from level two, three and four majoring in PGSD and PGPAUD with total of 210 students. This research uses descriptive research method with reference to the following steps: (1) conducting a pre-emptive survey to reveal empirical data about the number of students experiencing non-success in learning; (2) conducting documentation and survey studies to obtain biographical data, activities outside the lecture, attitudes, studying habits and learning skills; (3) conducting quantitative analysis of the data to obtain a description of the relationships and differences among the variables studied; (4) formulatingthe strategies oflearning guidance for students who are unsuccessful in learning based on biographicaldata, activities outside the lecture, attitudes, studying habit and learning skill. The results obtained from the data profiles of students in the study process are210 students as much as 59% or 125 successful and as many as 66 students or 31% has not been successful. Based on data on average learning skill enough. As well as data on attitudes and study habits on average is enough. Form of guidance for students who have not been successful in the form of academic, personal or career guidance. Working closely with the student's Academic Advisor. Penelitian ini didadasarkan pada problema akademik yang merupakan hambatan atau kesulitan yang diperoleh para mahasiswa dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan dan memaksimalkan pengembangan belajarnya. Dengan mengambil kasus pada UPI Kampus Tasikmalaya beberapa problema akademik yang dihadapi para mahasiswa. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang diambil adalah mahasiswa tingkat dua, tiga dan empat jurusan PGSD dan PGPAUD yang totalnya berjumlah 210 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan mengacu kepada langkah-langkah sebagai berikut : (1) melakukann survey pendahuluaan untuk mengungkap data empirik tentang besarnya jumlah mahasiswa yang mengalami ketidakberhasilan dalam belajar; (2) melakukan studi dokumentasi dan survey untuk mendapatkan data biografis, aktivitas di luar kuliah, sikap dan kebiasaan belajar dan keterampilan belajar; (3) melakukan analisis kuantitatif terhadap data yang diperoleh untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang tata hubungan dan perbedaan di antara variabel yang diteliti; (4) merumuskan strategi bimbingan belajar bagi mahasiswa yang mengalami ketidakberhasilan dalam belajarnya berdasrkan data, biografis, aktivitas di luar kuliah, sikap dan kebiasaan belajar dan keterampilan belajar. Diperoleh hasil berupa data profil mahasiswa dalam proses studi, yaitu dari 210 mahasiswa sebanyak 59% atau 125 berhasil dan sebanyak 66 mahasiswa atau 31% belum berhasil. Berdasarkan data tentang keterampilan belajar rata-rata cukup. Serta data tentang sikap dan kebiasaan belajar rata-rata cukup. Bentuk bimbingan untuk mahasiwa yang belum berhasil berupa bimbingan akademik, sosial pribadi atau karir. Bekerja sama dengan Pembimbing Akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

This action  research is based on the lack of communication skill in  young learner from TAAM HIDAYATULLAH. This problem is investigated through classroom research in teaching process in the classroom.The aim of this study is describing the things related to the use of show and tell method to incease young learner communication skill. The used methodology  in this rsearch is action research with four phases model by  Kemmis and Mc. Taggart. Every phases are consist of planning phase, action phase, observation phase and reflection phase. This research is conducted  by 11 young learners as the subject of this research study. The use of show and tell method enables to increase yung learners communication skill, that is from the children  aspect are able to do eye-contact, speak out clearly,  listen and respond appropiately.The result shows that the show and tell methodology can enhance the young learners communication skill. This result can be proved from the research that there is an increase amount 12, 1% in the phase Berkembang Sesuai Harapan(BSH) from 29,3% in the phase 1 becomes 41,4 % inthe phase 4 and also there is an increase in the phase Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB)from 0% in the phase 1 becomes 58,6% in the phase 4. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilatarbelakangi anak usia dini TAAM Hidayatulloh masih mulai berkembang dalam keterampilan berkomunikasi. Masalah ini ditindaklanjuti melalui penelitian tindakan kelas dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas.Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan hal ? hal yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan metode show and tell untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart dengan menggunakan empat siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tahap bertindak, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap refleksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari peneliti, peneliti mitra, dan anak sejumlah 11 orang. Penggunaan metode show and tell mampun untuk meningkatkan keterampila berkomunikasi anak usia dini, yaitu pada aspek anak mampu melakukan kontak mata, berbicara dengan jelas dan benar, serta mendengarkan dan merespon dengan tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa metode show and tell dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berkomunikasi anak usia dini. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dari hasil penelitian bahwa terjadi peningkatan sebesar 12,1% pada tahap kemampuan Berkembang Sesuai Harapan (BSH) dari 29,3% pada siklus 1 menjadi 41,4% pada siklus 4 dan terjadi peningkatan sebesar 58,6% pada tahap Kemampuan Berkembang Sangat Baik (BSB) dari 0% pada siklus 1 menjadi 58,6% pada siklus 4.

Abstract

AbstractChild independence is a capital of creativity, progress and survival. The non-indepedence of the child forms a personality that depends on other and will hamper the progress of the child, therefore independence must be instilled from an early age to the child in order to grow into an independent human being. Efforts to develop independence in schools are done by teachers who interact intensely with children. These development efforts can be applied in the learning process. The learning process is divided into several activities, namely the welcoming of the child?s arrival, opening, core activities, covering and picking up the children. The research is conducted because it wants to reveal how the teacher developed in the learning process. This research uses qualitative approach with descriptive method. The research was conducted at RA Raihan Persis 27, District Cihideung, Tasikmalaya City. Participants of this research are teacher of group A RA Raihan Persis 27. The collection was done by observation, interview and document study. The research findings show that the way the teacher develops the child?s independence is done in the form of a program that is made into the rules of school rules and class rules. The teacher?s program is implemented through statements and action. In addition, teachers apply the system of habituation to children to develop independence of children As for the aspects of independence that is dominated by teachers developed in RA Raihan Persis 27 is confident, discipline, emotional control and responsibility. AbstrakKemandirian anak merupakan modal kreativitas, kemajuan dan daya keberlangsungan hidup (survival). Ketidakmandirian anak membentuk kepribadian yang bergantung kepada orang lain dan akan menghambat kemajuan anak, oleh karena itu kemandirian harus ditanamkan sejak dini kepada anak supaya dapat tumbuh menjadi manusia yang mandiri. Upaya pengembangan kemandirian di sekolah dilakukan oleh guru yang berinteraksi secara intens dengan anak. Upaya pengembangan tersebut bisa diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Proses pembelajaran dibagi menjadi beberapa kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan penyambutan kedatangan anak, pembukaan, kegiatan inti, penutup dan penjemputan anak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena peniliti akan mengungkapkan bagaimana cara guru mengembangkan kemandirian anak serta aspek kemandirian apa saja yang dikembangkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penellitia ini dilakukan di RA Raihan Persisn 27, Kecamatan Cihideung Kota Tasikmalaya. Partisipan pada penelitian ini adalah guru kelompok A RA Raihan 27. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil dari temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cara guru mengembangkan kemandirian anak dilakukan dalam bentuk program yang dibuat menjadi aturan yaitu aturan sekolah dan aturan kelas. Program tersebut guru laksanakan melalui pernyataan dan tindakan. Selain itu juga guru menerapkan sistem pembiasaan kepada anak untuk mengembangkan kemandirian anak. Adapun aspek-aspek kemandirian yang mendominasi dikembangkan oleh guru di RA Raihan Persis 27 adalah percaya diri, disiplin, mengendalikan emosi dan tanggungjawab.

Abstract

Tumbuh-tumbuhan diketahui kaya antioksidan alami seperti vitamin E, vitamin C, beta karoten dan flavonoid.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan10 jenis sayuran, Amaranthus lividus L.sensu Thell., Cichorium endivia, Brassica juncea (L.) Czern., Sauropus androgynus (L.) Merr., Ocimum bassilicum, Brassica oleracea var.botrytis  L.,  Brassica oleracea var.botrytis  L. subvar cauliflora DC., Brassica oleracea var.capitata L., Brassica oleracea var.capitata L. forma rubra, Cosmos caudatus H.B.K dan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar kontribusi senyawa fenolik dan flavonoid pada aktivitas antioksidannya. Uji aktivitas antioksidan dilakukandengan metode DPPH (2,2-difenil-1-pikril hidrazil) dengan menggunakan baku pembanding kuersetin. Analisis kandungan fenolik total ditentukan oleh kemampuan sampel untuk mereduksi reagen Folin Ciocalteau.Analisis flavonoid total dilakukan secara spektrofotometri didasarkan adanya kemampuan flavonoid  membentuk kompleks yang berwarna kuning dengan AlCl3 , yang selanjutnya akan bereaksi dengan  NaOH membentuk warna merah muda yang dapat diukur absorbansinya pada panjang gelombang 510 nm. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ekstrak kenikir (Cosmos caudatus H.B.K.) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan yang paling tinggi dengan nilai IC50 19,49 µg/ml. Hubungan antara aktivitas antioksidan 10 jenis sayuran dengan kandungan fenolik total diperoleh persamaan regresi linear   y = -34,94 x +562,5, r2 = 0,235 , sementara itu hubungan aktivitas antioksidan dengan flavonoid totalnya diperoleh persamaan y = -16,57 + 755,9, r2 = 0,471.Kata kunci : antioksidan, DPPH, sayuran, fenolik total, flavonoid total
