Abstract

ulangan pada tanah vertisol.   Pupuk organik yang digunakan adalah alfagro, pupuk kandanghalus (pukan halus) dan pukan granul (granular) masing-masing 20 ton/ha. Dosis KCl dan urea,masing-masing 125 kg K/ha dan 200 kg N/ha. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T1 (alfagro), T2 (alfagro+urea), T3 (pukan halus), T4 (pukan halus+urea), T5 (pukan granul), T6 (pukan granul+urea), T7 (pukan granul+urea+KCl).  Panen jagung manis umur 70 hari setelah tanam, dan  jerami  dipotong  untuk  mendapatkan  data  produksi  tongkol  jagung  manis,  jerami  dan kelobot.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan yang diberikan nyata berpengaruh terhadap produksi tongkol jagung manis, maupun jerami dan kelobot tongkol jagung.  Hasil uji DMRT menunjukkan bahwa   pukan halus+urea (T4) dan pukan granul+urea (T6), masing- masing menghasilkan produksi jagung nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pukan tanpa urea. Perlakuan pukan granul+urea (T6) menghasilkan produksi jagung serta jerami dan kelobot nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pukan halus (T3) dan pukan granul (T5).   Disimpulkan bahwa penambahan pupuk anorganik pada aplikasi pupuk organik dapat meningkatkan produksi jagung dan jerami serta kelobot jagung manis.Kata Kunci:  Zea mays saccharata, jerami, kelobot, pupuk organik, pupuk anorganik

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh pemupukan fosfat dan organik terhadap pertumbuhan dan kadar kalsium (Ca) hijauan sorgum. Materi dalam penelitian adalah benih sorgum manis, pupuk kandang (pukan), pukan ?plus? (pukan + BP yang didekomposisikan bersama), arang, pupuk batuan phosphate (BP) 27% P2O5 dan triple super phosphate (TSP) 46% P2O5 serta amonium sulfat (AS) 21% N dan KCl 50%K2O sebagai pupuk dasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam percobaan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 8 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan pemupukan pada penelitian adalah T0 = Kontrol,  T1 = Pukan,  T2 = Pukan + BP,  T3 = Pukan + TSP,  T4 = Pukan ?plus?, T5 = Pukan+ BP + arang, T6  = Pukan + TSP + arang,  T7 =  Pukan ?plus? + arang.Parameter pengamatan yaitu tinggi tanaman, kadar protein kasar (PK) dan kadar Ca hijauan pada pemotongan I (40 hari) dan pemotongan II (40 hari setelah potong pertama). Data dianalisis ragam kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pukan ?plus? menghasilkan kadar Ca pemotongan I nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pukan + BP, pukan dan kontrol. Pukan ?plus? menghasilkan tinggi tanaman dan kadar Ca pemotongan I serta kadar Ca pemotongan II setara dengan pukan + TSP. Pukan ?plus? + arang menghasilkan tinggi tanaman pemotongan II setara dengan pukan + TSP + arang.Simpulan penelitian ini adalah perlakuan pemupukan organik + pupuk P baik dengan maupun tanpa arang meningkatkan tinggi tanaman sorgum pada pemotongan II. Perlakuan pupuk kandang + TSP + arang menghasilkan kadar Ca hijauan sorgum tertinggi pada pemotongan I.Kata Kunci: sorgum manis; pertumbuhan;kadar kalsium; fosfat;organik. ABSTRACT The aim of this study was to examine the effect of phosphate and organic fertilization on the growth and calsium (Ca) content of sorghum forage. The materials in this study were sweet sorghum seeds, manure, manure 'plus' (manure + rock phosphate were decomposed together), charcoal, rock phosphate 27% P2O5 and triple super phosphate(TSP) 46% P2O5 as well as the sulphate ammonium (AS) 21% N and KCl 50%K2O as a basic fertilizer.The experiment was conducted in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 8 treatments and 3 replications. Fertilizing treatments of this research was T0 = Control, T1 = Manure, T2 = Manure + rock phosphate, T3 = Manure + TSP, T4 = Manure ?plus?, T5 = Manure + rock phosphate + charcoal, T6 = Manure + TSP + charcoal, T7 = Manure ?plus? + charcoal. The parameters were plant height, crude protein (CP) content and Ca content of sorghum forage at the first cutting (40 days)and second cutting (40 days after the first cutting). The data were analyzed using ANOVA, then followed by Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT).The results showed that manure 'plus' resulted Ca content of first cuttingthat was significantly higher than that of manure + rock phosphate, manure and control. Manure 'plus' resulted in plant height and Ca content on both cutting (first and second cutting) similar to manure + TSP. Manure 'plus' + charcoal resultedin plant height of second cuttingsimilarto manure + TSP + charcoal.The conclusionof thisresearchisorganic+P fertilizationtreatment either used or without used charcoal was able to increase height ofsorghumplant on second cutting. Treatmentof manure+TSP+charcoalresultthe highestCacontent of sorghumforage onfirst cutting.Keywords : sweet sorghum; growth;calsium content; phosphate; organic.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Urine sapi terdapat kandungan hormon auksin untuk merangsang pertumbuhan tanaman. Rumput gajah dan rumput raja adalah tanaman berkualitas unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan pemanfaatan urine sapi betina sebagai sumber zat pengatur tumbuh pada tanaman, mengetahui kecepatan tumbuh, daya tumbuh, rasio tajuk dan akar, mengetahui titik optimal pertumbuhan kedua tanaman dari perlakuan aras urin sapi dan auksin sintetik. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret ? Mei 2012 di lahan tanaman pakan Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro Semarang dan analisis bahan kering dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Ilmu Tanaman Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian dosis urine sapi yang berbeda pada kedua tanaman tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kecepatan tumbuh, pertambahan tinggi, (P>0,01). Perlakuan jenis tanaman (R) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap perlakuan yang diujikan, kecuali pada uji rasio tajuk dan akar. Interaksi antar perlakuan (RxTy) tidak berpengaruh nyata pada uji kecepatan tumbuh, tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya tumbuh, tinggi tanaman (P<0,05) dan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap rasio tajuk dan akar (P<0,01). Daya tumbuh dan kecepatan tumbuh rumput gajah lebih tinggi dibandingkan rumput raja. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan perlakuan urine sapi berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan bobot bahan kering dengan hasil sesuai dengan hipotesis pada parameter tinggi tanaman.

Abstract

ABSTRAK    Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian pupuk organik dan urea terhadap pertumbuhan dan kadar fosfor jerami jagung manis. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus ? Desember 2013 di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Peternakan dan Pertanian Universitas Diponegoro. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah benih jagung manis, kompos, pupuk kandang, arang dan urea (46% N) serta KCl dan TSP sebagai pupuk dasar. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) Monofaktor 9 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 27 petak masing-masing dengan ukuran 1,6 x 1,2 m (1,92 m2). Parameter yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, produksi bahan kering dan kadar fosfor jerami jagung manis. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis ragam, apabila perlakuan berpengaruh nyata, dilanjutkan dengan uji kontras. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk menghasilkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, produksi bahan kering dan kadar fosfor jerami nyata lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa pupuk. Pemberian pupuk organik + urea menghasilkan tinggi tanaman dan produksi bahan kering nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pupuk organik. Pemupukan kompos + arang menghasilkan kadar fosfor jerami jagung manis nyata lebih tinggi dibanding pupuk kandang + arang.Kata kunci : pertumbuhan; kualitas; pupuk; Zea mays saccharata. ABSTRACT The study was conducted to examine the effect of organic and urea fertilizer on the growth and phosphorus concentration of sweet corn stover. The field experiment was conducted in August ? December 2013 in Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences laboratory Diponegoro University. Material used in this study was sweet corn seed, compost, manure, charcoal and urea (46% N) also KCl and TSP as basic fertilizer. The experimental design used was Monofaktor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) 9 treatments with 3 replicates, so there are 27 plots with the size of each is 1.6 x 1.2 m (1.92 m2). The parameters observed were plant height, dry matter yield, and phosphorus concentration of sweet corn stover. Research data processed by analysis of variance, if the treatment has significant effect, then followed by contrast test. The result showed that fertilizer application deliver significant effect on height plant, dry matter yield, and phosporus concentration compared to without fertilizer. Organic fertilizer plus urea deliver higher significant effect on height plant and dry matter yield compared to organic fertilizer. Compost plus charcoal deliver higher significant effect on phosporus concentration of sweet corn stover compared to manure plus charcoal.Keywords: growth; phosporus concentration; fertilizers; Zea mays saccharata

Abstract

Pupuk kandang diperkaya fosfat alam (FA) dan di inokulasi biodekomposer bermanfaat untuk memperbaiki kesuburan lahan kering. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa macam pupuk kandang diperkaya FA (pukan) dalam bentuk granular dan di inokulasi biodekomposer terhadap nutrisi jerami jagung manis sebagai hijauan pakan lokal untuk ruminansia. Penelitian lapang menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan pada tanah vertisol. Dosis unsur hara P (FA), N (urea), dan K (KCl) masing-masing 66 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha dan 125 kg K/ha. Dosis pukan 30 t/ha dan semua diperkaya FA. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah T0 (pukan), T1 (pukan+EM4), T2 (pukan+starTmik), T3 (pukan+stardec), T4 (pukan granular+EM4), T5 (pukan granular+starTmik), T6 (pukan granular+stardec). Abstract

Manure enriched by rock phosphate (RP) and inoculated with biodecomposer very important to improve the upland fertility. Residual effects of applied manure can be used for the next growing season. The objective of the research was to investigate the residual effects of some kind of manure on sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata), dry matter (DM) and P production of stover on second growing season. A field experiment of completely randomized design with 7 treatments and four replicates. Level of P (RP), N (urea) and K (KCl) fertilizers was 66 kg P/ha, 200 kg N/ha, and 125 kg K/ha, respectively. All of manure application at 30 ton/ha and enriched with RP. The treatments at the first growing season were T0 (manure), T1 (manure +EM4), T2 (manure+starTmik), T3 (manure +stardec), T4 (manure granular+EM4), T5 (manure granular+starTmik), and T6 (manure granular+stardec). The sweet corn was harvested at 70 days, the stover was cut and measured for DM and P production. The result showed that effect of some kind of manure was not significantly different to sweet corn and DM production. Manure inoculated with biodecomposer resulted in signficantly higher of P production than without biodecomposer. Conclusion, all of manure resulted in similar on sweet corn and DM, except manure inoculated with biodecomposer resulted in higher of P production than without biodecomposer.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the equivalence of production value between the elephant grass (Pennisetum purpureum Scumach & Thonn) which was fertilized by an inorganic fertilizer (urea = P1) and the organic fertilizer (manure = P2 and bokashi = P3) were combined by inoculation an effective microorganisms EM4 = E. The study used the experimental design of split-plot on the basis of a randomized complete design consisting 3 replications. The main plot was 8 treatment combinations while the subplot was 3 defoliation periods (1, 2 and 3). Eight treatment combinations were: E0P0 (no EM4, no fertilizers); E1P0 (EM4, no fertilizers); E0P1 (no EM4, urea); E1P1 (EM4, urea); E0P2 (no EM4, manure); E1P2 (EM4, manure); E0P3 (no EM4, bokashi); and E1P3 (EM4, bokashi). The interaction effect fertilization and defoliation treatments was significant (P < 0.05) on the grass height, fresh forage production and nitrogen (N) production. This interaction effect was not significant (P > 0.05) on the number of tillers, dry matter (DM) production, digestibility of organic matter (OM) and digestibility of DM over the defoliation periods but the main effect in the form of defoliation periods was significant (P < 0.05) to the number of tillers and DM production. Number of tillers increased significantly (P < 0.05) throughout the defoliation periods whereas DM production increased significantly (P < 0.05) from the 1st defoliation to the 2nd defoliation and then decreased significantly (P < 0.05) in the 3rd defoliation. Fertilization of elephant grass used manure or bokashi which was inoculated by EM4 able to produce the number of tillers, grass height, fresh forage production and DM production which were equivalent of elephant grass which was fertilized by urea (without inoculation of EM4) but the N production was lower. This fertilization was only able to produce the number of tillers and DM production which were equivalent of elephant grass which was fertilized by urea (with inoculation of EM4) but grass height, fresh forage production and the N production were lower. Fertilization of elephant grass used manure, bokashi or urea (with or without inoculation of EM4) did not affect the elephant grass digestibility of DM and OM. Keywords: Bokashi,defoliation of elephant grass, elephant grass, EM4, manure,  urea.

Efek sisa pupuk kandang diperkaya fosfat alam (FA) bermanfaat untuk musim tanam berikutnya. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pukan diperkaya FA (pukan) dalam bentuk granular dan di inokulasi biodekomposer terhadap nutrisi jerami jagung manis (Zea mays saccharata) pada musim tanam kedua. Penelitian lapang menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 7 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan pada tanah vertisol. Dosis unsur hara P (FA), N (urea), dan K (KCl) masing-masing 66 kg/ha, 200 kg/ha dan 125 kg K/ha. Dosis pukan 30 t/ha dan semua diperkaya FA. Efek residu pukan dalam bentuk granular maupun non-granular dengan inokulasi biodekomposer menghasilkan kadar P dan Ca jerami jagung manis nyata lebih tinggi dibanding tanpa biodekomposer. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa efek residu pukan dengan inokulasi biodekomposer mempunyai kemampuan setara dalam menghasilkan kadar PK, namun lebih tinggi kadar P dan Ca jerami jagung manis dibanding pukan tanpa biodekomposer.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the response of tomato plant on paclobutrazol and different planting media composition. The study used Completely Randomized Design factorial 4x3with the first factor wasapplication of paclobutrazol 0 ppm (P0), 50 ppm (P1), 100 ppm (P2), dan 150 ppm (P3), and the second factor was composition of planting media (soil:compost) 80%:20% (M1), 60%:40% (M2), dan 40%:60% (M3),with 3 replications. The parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of flowers, leaf chlorophyll content, number of fruit. Data were subjected to analysis of variance and further test by Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the application of paclobutrazol doses 50, 150 ppm, and without paclobutrazol (control) resulted in the number of flower of 70.56, leaf chlorophyll content index of 53.16, and plant height of 157.78 cm that ware significantly higher (p<0.05) than other treatments. The treatment without paclobutrazol with 60%:40% planting composition resulted in a significantly higher (p<0.05) leaf number than other treatments. Paclobutrazol doses of 100 ppm and 60%:40% of planting media composition yielded 10.33 fruitsthat was higher (p<0.05) than other treatments. The objective of this research was to study the growth and production of soybean at various doses of inoculum arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) and phosphate fertilization i.e. guano, rock phosphate, guano+rock phosphate and TSP. This research was conducted in green house and Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Breeding, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences, Diponegoro University, and Laboratory of Micology, Gadjah Mada Universityfrom April 16th to August 18th 2017. The research was assigned in completely randomized factorial design with the first factor was the doses of inoculum AMF (0, 30, 45 and 60g/pot) and second factor was the phosphate fertilization (control, guano, rock phosphate, guano+rock phosphate and TSP). The results showed that inoculation of AMF with doses of 30 and 45 g/pot had significant effect on plant height, number of branches and pods. Inoculation of AMF with a dose of 60 g/pot significantly affected the number of branches and pods. Fertilization of guano, BP and guano+BP had significant effect on number of branches and pods, TSP fertilization had significant effect on plant height, number of branches and pods.
