Abstract

Sodium lignosulphonate is a product of isolated lignin sulphonation process using NaHSO3 as sulphonation agent. This research was proposed to produce sodium lignosulphonate , to identify and to charactirize the product as dispersant agent. The lignin sulphonation process was conducted by ratio of reactant variable (NaHSO3 and lignin) 60.32%, pH 6.03 and temperature at 90.28 OC on batch reactor. The identification was carried out by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and by Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrophotometer (LCMS). Identification using FTIR and LCMS spectrophotometer indicated that SLS produced from this study has similar characteristic with SLS standard from Aldrich (SLS-Aldrich). Performance test of SLS as dispersant materials for gypsum paste pointed out that this SLS has lower performance than SLS-Aldrich. This was caused by the purity of SLS standard, 96%. Nevertheless SLS still fulfilled the characteristic as dispersant materials for gypsum paste because it has purity of more than 80%. Keywords: lignin, sulphonation, sodium lignosulphonate, dispersant

Abstract

Abstract: The Development of the agricultural sector in the South Tangerang City faces severe challenges related to the lack of resources, especially land. Urban agriculture has an important role in addressing various problems in which faced by the city. This research aimed to formulate alternative strategies of urban agricultural development in South Tangerang City. The vision and mission are formulated based on content analysis of stakeholder expectations and industry foresight, while the strategy formulation using IE matrix and use the balanced scorecard framework. Expected condition of urban agriculture development is the increased revenue of the city welfare (economic perspective). South Tangerang city government positions in developing urban agriculture located on the cell V. The best strategy is to continue to run a variety of programs and activities that have been imple mented. Strategies that can be implemented by the government are the increased intensityof the program and activities as well as creating new types of services. Keywords: South Tangerang City, sector public, strategic planning, urban agriculture, IE matrix, balanced scorecard

Abstract

This study describes the analysis and design of production systems at an Aceh noodle restaurant based on the approach of process-oriented analysis (POA). POA is a technique that can be used to design or re-engineering a production system. This system useD a type of static analysis with two models i.e., value flow diagram (VFD) and resource flow diagrams (RFD). The results showed that the POA method is very useful to study the analysis and design of production systems. Application of this method of learning and project engineering production provides an enormous benefit in analyzing and designing the production system of special Aceh noodles at a restaurant, which includes the amount of information, numbers, and economic return value (VFD), as well as information on the flow of resources (including mass, energy, and embodied energy) and their respective ecological values (RFD).
