Abstract

There are two different outliers, i.e outlier in observations and outlier in models. The existing outlier detection method in models is using common Likelihood method. The limitation of this method is the optimal value produced might be not the real optimal values. This research yields a method for outlier detection in multivariate linear models with Likelihood Displacement Statistic-Lagrange method (LDL method). This method uses multiplier Lagrange with constraint the confidence interval of parameter?s vector. This parameter?s vector is obtained from the data set which is outlier free. This parameter estimation process uses numerical method with Karush-Kuhn Tucker condition in nonlinear programming. This method compares between LDL value and the table F value that follows the distribution of F value to indentify the outlier in models.

Abstract

This research?s purpose is to know the influence of religiosity, personality, emotional intelligence and social support to cope with stress level on excel students. This research?s population are D3 students of Halu Oleo university, vocational education program in 2015 and 2016. This research is using simple random sampling on 34 students. This research is using 4 variables that are suspected to have influences on how to cope with the stress level on excel students. Those variables are the influence of religiosity, personality, emotional intelligence and social support. This research found that from those 4 variables there?s only one that have influence toward the way to cope with stress level on excel students. That variable is free variable of social support. Then it obtained the multiple linear regression model . From that model it can be seen that if the social support goes up by one point the value on how to cope with the stress level will rise by 0,402 point. Keywords: Religiosity influences, personality, emotional intelligence, social support, coping strategy, simple random sampling, multiple regression model.

Abstract

Gender gap was influenced mathematical ability between boys and girls. Stereotypes about women’s position lower in mathematics is a contrasting landscape and different from the data and scientific facts. The result of re- search in 69 countries with gender equality shows that teenage girls tend to have a math test scores higher. In addition, young women also tend to do about the matter of better and more confident in their ability in the field of math. The results of this study also showed that young women have the same ability with young men when they are given an equal education, espe- cially in mathematics.Keywords: kesenjangan gender, matematika, stereotip, data dan fakta ilmiah.

Abstract

AbstractOutlier is a separated data of the other data collection. This study is to detect outlier for using absolute deviation method in case the connection between employee work motivation and employee work achievement. For detecting outlier has to be used scattered plot, leverage value (hii) and student outlier error. Outlier data is reviewed from values of X based on leverage value (hii), namely h4 = 108, h19 = 193 and   h26 = 108. The three values exceed of  2 times the average of leverage values 2p/n = 0.08 such that the values of observation 4, 19 and 26 be outlier. While, based on absolute value of student outlier error, it was obtained that outlier is an observation 24 and 41. Regression model that without using outlier is Y = 38.470 + 0.952X , where  R2 = 0.838. Keywords: absolute deviation method, regression model, scattered plot AbstrakOutlier (pencilan) adalah suatu data yang terpisah jauh dari kumpulan data lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeteksi outlier menggunakan metode simpangan mutlak untuk kasus data hubungan antara motivasi kerja karyawan dengan prestasi kerja karyawan. Untuk mendeteksi outlier digunakan plot pencar, nilai leverasi (hii), dan sisaan dibuang ter-student-kan. Data outlier ditinjau dari nilai-nilai X berdasarkan nilai leverasi terbesar yaitu h4 = 108, h19 = 193, dan       h26 = 108. Ketiga nilai tersebut melebihi kriteria 2 kali rataan nilai leverasi,        2p/n = 0,08, sehingga nilai amatan ke-4, 19, dan 26 merupakan outlier. Sedangkan berdasarkan nilai mutlak sisaan dibuang ter-student-kan, diperoleh outlier adalah amatan ke-24 dan 41. Model regresi yang digunakan tanpa outlier adalah               Y = 38,470 + 0,952X dengan  nilai R2 = 0,838. Kata kunci:   Metode simpangan mutlak, model regresi, outlier, dan plot pencar.

Abstract

Outliers are observations (data) that lies in an abnormal distance from other observations. Outliers can be distinguished into outliers of univariate or multivariate observation and outliers of univariate or multivariate linear models. Multivariate linear model is a linear model with more than one dependent (response) variables. This research studied parameter estimation and hypothesis test for multivariate linear model using Likelihood Displacement Statistic-Lagrange Method called as LDL method for detecting outlier observations in multivariate linear models with the LDLAm statistical test.

Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran geometris siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) masih tergolong rendah yang disebabkan oleh pembelajaran yang kurang tepat dan, ketidakpahaman siswa tentang pentingnya menguasai Geometri serta rendahnya kepercayaan diri siswa dalam mengerjakan soal-soal penalaran geometris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji perbedaan pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran dengan pndekatan van Hiele dan pendekatan Scientific terhadap kemampuan penalaran geometris berdasarkan Self-Efficacy (SE) siswa. Siswa yang diteliti adalah kelas VII SMPN 12 Konawe Selatan dengan mengambil dua kelas secara acak untuk dijadikan sampel penelitian. Satu kelas belajar dengan menerapkan teori van Hiele dan satu kelas belajar dengan pendekatan scientifc. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest dan posttest, lembar observasi angket SE. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan uji beda rata-rata uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan pendekatan van Hiele secara siginifikan berpengaruh lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran dengan pendekatan scientific terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penalaran geometris siswa, baik antar model pembelajaran maupun berdasarkan Kategori Self-Efficacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan open-ended dan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan konvensional ditinjau dari Pengetahuan Awal Matematika (PAM). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 6 Kendari yang  terdiri  dari  6  kelas.  Pengambilan  sampel  dalam  penelitian  ini  menggunakan  teknik purposive  sampling  dan  random  sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pengetahuan awal matematika pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding pada kelas kontrol. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan open-ended dengan rata-rata kemampuan berpikir  kreatif  matematis  siswa  yang diajar  dengan  menggunakan  pendekatan  konvensional ditinjau dari PAM siswa kelas 8 di SMP N 6 Kendari. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan peningkatan   kemampuan   berpikir   kreatif   matematik   antara   siswa   yang   diajar   dengan menggunakan   pendekatan   open-ended   dengan   siswa   yang   diajar   dengan   menggunakan pendekatan konvensional  ditinjau dari PAM. Peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis pada siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan open-ended lebih baik dibanding pada siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pendekatan konvensional ditinjau dari PAM tinggi, sedang, dan rendah

Abstract

Abstrak: Hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP Negeri 9 Kendari masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini disebabkan anggapan siswa bahwa matematika merupakan pelajaran yang sulit, proses pembelajaran bersifat pasif dan soal-soal yang diberikan monoton pada soal konseptual saja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik dibandingkan dengan siswa yang tidak diajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 9 Kendari Kota Kendari. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling yaitu kelas VIII4 dan kelas VIII3. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experimental dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Data hasil belajar matematika dikumpulkan dengan tes hasil belajar matematika sebelum dan setelah diberi perlakuan. Analisis data menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan hasil belajar matematika siswa di kedua kelas model pembelajaran. Selain itu terdapat perbedaan peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa, dimana kelas yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah peningkatannya lebih baik dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tidak diajar dengan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (thit = 2,565 dengan signifikansi 0,000<0,05).Kata kunci : Hasil belajar matematika, model pembelajaran berbasis masalah Abstract: The result of student? mathematics learning SMPN 9 Kendari is still relative low. This is due the assumption of students that mathematics is a difficult subject, the learning process is passive and problem given the monotony in a matter of conceptual only. This study aims to determine whether the result of students who are taught mathematics learning with problem based learning model is better than the students who are not taught with problem based learning model. The study populations were students of class VIII SMP Negeri Kendari. Samples were taken by random sampling technique that is class VIII4 and VIII3. This study is a quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The data of mathematics learning result were collected via learning mathematics achievement test before and after being treated. Analysis of data was using the t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, concluded that there was a significant increase learning result on both of classes learning model. In addition there are differences in mathematics learning result of students, where the class was taught with problem based learning is better than the class that are not taught with problem based learning model (tcount = 2,565 at the significance of 0,000 < 0,05).Keyword: Result Of Mathematics Learning, Problem Based Learning Model.
