OFCDM is an attractive multiple access scheme for high data rate application in Fourth-generation (4G) wireless communication system. Previously, several researches were only investigated the performance of OFCDM based on variable spreading factor. However, there are several system parameters may affected the performance of OFCDM. Therefore, this paper investigates the impact of several parameters on the performance system of OFCDMA over Rayleigh Fading channel as a realistic channel in wireless communications.The simulation system model of OFCDM is introduced. The computer simulation is developed by using MATLAB programming in order to show the impact of several parameters for OFCDMs performance including number of carriers, size of symbol, symbol rate, bit rate, size of guard interval and spreading factor. The simulation results show that the higher number of carriers, larger size of symbol, higher symbol rate, higher bit rate and larger spreading factor are giving the better systems performance in terms of Bit Error Rate (BER). However, the larger guard interval is giving the worst systems performance.So all the parameters should be considered in the implementation of OFCDM for the 4G wireless communication system.

Many applications are developed and deployed in Syiah Kuala University main server. These applications and information system are built as tools to help the University’ daily activities. Most of these applications have its own database. As a result, data is inconsistent, and the worst is redundant data cannot be avoided. The idea behind of this research is to build one centralized data that can be used as baseline to other applications. Since the main data of Syiah Kuala University are located behind the proxy which is no internet direct access allowed to the data. The proposed method to answer this problem is touse web service as a gateway for data transfer. This technique keeps the database from direct external access but the data itself can be seen without knowing where the real data is. This method has been used for Online Exit-Survey to proof that the system can verify the students’ data. Some student cannot be identified because their data were empty, the other because the data in centralized database server were only prepared for undergraduate students, so that the post graduate and professional students cannot be verified. For undergraduate students this online exit-survey works fine without error on verification phase

Heatstroke is the most severe heat illness which homeostatic thermoregulatory mechanism is failed, characterized by an elevation of the core body temperature above 40 oC, central nervous system dysfunction, and possible multi-organ failure. Heatstroke is the third leading cause of death among athletes. Exertional heatstroke (EHS) is exercise-induced; usually affects young healthy people during strenuous physical activity and have not acclimatized to environmental heat stress. Frequently encountered complications include encephalopathy, acute respiratory distress syndrome, myocardial injury, acute kidney injury, hypoglycemia, intestinal ishemia or infarction, pancreatic injury, rhabdomyolysis, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), hypocalcemia, lactic acidosis, and hepatic failure. Immediate cooling is the cornerstone of treatment which evaporative cooling is preferred. Aspiration and seizure are common; airway management, oxygenation, and ventilation have to be adequately maintained. Crystalloid-fluid resuscitation is essential, averaging 1200 mL in first 4 hours. Systemic complications of heatstroke should be well-managed to prevent worse outcome. A case of 32-years-old man with no significant medical history was brought to emergency department after collapsing while running into the 20-kilometres marathon. He was unresponsive (GCS E1V2M1), had serial generalized seizure and hematemesis-melena. On primary survey, the patient was shocked (BP 67/24 mmHg, HR 165 bpm, cold extremity), tachypnea (41/min), hyperthermia (40.5oC rectally), SpO2 95% on simple mask 10 L/min. His laboratory results showed full-blown complications of heatstroke. Immediate rehydration therapy using saline solution and colloid solution intravenously was started, followed with blood or blood component transfusion. Tracheal intubation and mechanical ventilation were performed. During the intensive treatment, he became fully conscious and was extubated on hospital day 7. He was hemodynamically stable without any support, but developed multi-organ failure. Unfortunately, on twentieth day, he was cardiac arrest during hemodialysis and died four days later.

Information system and data is a very important thing nowadays. An information system especially a database is designed with a high data availability. One of the database systems is MySQL cluster. Sometimes, its performance decreased because of the system’s incapablity to handle the data. To overcome this problem, the research of load balancing systems for MySQL cluster is needed. This research is intended to analyze the effect of load balancing clustering methods on MySQL cluster which by default has been set as failover clustering. The analysis is done through data collection and database transactions test to get the number of Transactions per second (TPS) and response time parameter using SysBench. The test is divided into two main scenarios, the simple and complex-mode that running on 4 computers. The tests were conducted by giving workloads from 8 up to 128 threads respectively to the server through a client on default conditions and load balancing. The test results showed the number of TPS at MySQL cluster default is 536.61. In contrast, number of TPS at load balancing is better at 2261.22. Likewise, the response time at MySQL cluster load balancing is 147.55 ms faster than that of the default one at 335.00 ms.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi scaffolding berbasis multirepresentasi dapat mengatasi kesulitan pemahaman konseptual siswa dalam penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu deskriptif analitis yang berorientasi pada penyelesaian masalah siswa dalam mempelajari penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan. Subjek yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah 3 siswa kelas VII F di SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak yang mewakili tiap ZPD. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa setelah diberikan strategi scaffolding berbasis multirepresentasi, setiap subjek penelitian dapat melewati masa ZPDnya dan kesalahan-kesalahan yang dilakukan dalam menyelesaikan pre-testdapatdiminimalisir (dilihat dari hasil posttest) Kata kunci : Strategi Scaffolding, Multirepresentasi, Pemahaman Konseptual Abstract: This research aims to overcome the students’ difficulties of conceptual understanding of mathematics by using scaffolding strategy based-multi representation in addition and substraction of fractions at seventh grade students of SMPN 13 school year 2014/2015. This research method used is descriptive analysis which is oriented on students problem solving in learning addition and substraction of fractions. The subjects of this research are 3 students at grade VII F of SMPN 13 Pontianak that represent in each ZPD (high, medium, low). The result of data analysis showedthatafterthe implementation ofscaffoldingstrategiesbased-multirepresentation, eachresearch subjectcouldget through theZPDandthe mistakesmade incompletingthe pre-test can beminimized(Viewedfrompost-test).
