Abstract

The oxotrinuclear compound [Ru2Co(O)(OOCCH3)6(C5H5N)3](ClO4) has been synthesized using RuCl3?nH2O at room temperature under oxygen atmospheric condition. The oxotrinuclear complex was characterized by FT-IR spectrophotometer and mass spectrometer with cold spray ionization (CSI) method. The FT-IR spectra of the resulted oxotrinuclear compound show has specific vibration at 692 cm-1. This absorption is related to M3O vibration (M= metal). CSI-mass spectra of the oxotrinuclear compound show that pyridine as ligand was fragmented in oxotrinuclear compound.

Abstract

Thermal decomposition of calcium oxide from chicken?s (Gallus gallus domesticus) and goat?s (Capra Hircus Aegragus) bones was prepared at temperature variations of 400, 500, 800, 900, 1000, and 1100 oC respectively. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), FT-IR and SEM were used for calcium oxide characterization. XRD diffraction pattern of the bone?s after thermal decomposition at 1100oC has similarity to the XRD standard diffraction pattern from Joint Committee on Powder Diffraction Standard (JCPDS). Diffractions of 2q values being used are 34.2o, 37.3o, 58.3o, 64.1o, and 67.3 o.  Ca-O presence in the samples was detected by FT-IR characterization at wavenumber of 354,90 cm-1. SEM profile show reducing size of bones after decomposition in both chicken?s and goat?s bones. Furthermore, the prepared calcium oxide was applied for biodiesel synthesis from discarded cooking oil through transesterification reaction. By applying the catalysts decomposed from chicken?s and goat?s bones, the biodiesel product showed characteristics as follows: biodiesel applied the chicken?s bone catalyst has fatty acid number of 0.56 mg/KOH, iod number of 22.41 g I2/100 g KOH, density of 0.88 g/cm3 and viscosity of 5.91 mm2/s, while biodiesel applied the goat?s bone catalyst has 0.56 mg/KOH, iod number of 21.57 g I2/100 g KOH, density of 0.88 g/cm3 and viscosity of 6.34 mm2/s. Those biodiesel?s characteristic values meet the National Standard of Indonesia (SNI) for biodiesel.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan sintesis tris-(4-thioanisil)oktilsilan (1) melalui reaksi kopling antara oktilsilan dengan 4-iodidathioanisol. Reaksi dilakukan menggunakan katalis paladium dalam kondisi atmosfir inert menggunakan pelarut tetrahidrofuran. Senyawa (1) diperoleh dalam bentuk cairan tak berwarna dengan rendemen 20% mempunyai tujuh puncak 1H NMR, tigabelas puncak 13C NMR dan memiliki nilai m/z 510.Synthesis of tris-(4-thioanisyl)octylsilane (1) by coupling reaction between octylsilane and 4-iodo thioanisole has been done. Reaction was carried out using palladium as catalyst in inert condition and tetrahydrofuran as solvent. Compound (1) was obtained in colorless oil with the yield 20% has seven peaks of 1H NMR, thirteen peaks of 13C NMR and m/z 501.

Abstract

Sintesis  senyawa  hibrida  anorganik-organik  V2O5-Asam  humat  menggunakan metode  sol-gel.  Perbandingan    bahan  yang  digunakan  adalah  V2O5:asam humat:FeCl3:air  (1:1:1:40:17)  dilarutkan  dan  didinginkan  sampai  suhu  30oC, disaring  dan  didapatkan  hibrida  senyawa  anorganik-organik  tersebut.  Senyawa  ini kemudian  dikarakterisasi  dengan  spektrofotometer  FT-IR  dan  XRD.  Hasil identifikasi dengan FT-IR diketahui bahwa gugus fungsi yang terdapat pada  asam humat  tidak  muncul  pada  spektra  hibrida  sol-gel  ini  seperti  C=C  aromatik,  C-H alifatik,  C-H  aromatik  ini  mengindikasikan bahwa  asam humat telah berada  dalam rongga V2O5. Hasil analisa dengan XRD, hibrida metode sol-gel ini memiliki indeks miller (111), (110), (100) dengan ukuran simetri (a) adalah 0,267nm.Kata kunci: sol-gel, microstructur, asam humat, V2O5,  hibrida

Abstract

Abstrak Telah disintesis senyawa oksotrinuklir dengan terminal ligan piridin [Ru3O(OOCC6H5)6(C5H5N)3]ClO4. Senyawa oksotrinuklir hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan spektrofotometer FT-IR dan spektrometer massa. Hasil identifikasi dengan spektrofotometer FT-IR menunjukkan senyawa oksotrinuklir hasil sintesis memiliki vibrasi khas pada bilangan gelombang 698 cm-1. Pengukuran menggunakan spektrometer massa menkonfirmasi bahwa senyawa oksotrinuklir memiliki ligan terminal piridin yang mudah terfragmentasi yang ditandai dengan puncak ion molekul pada m/z 1283,14 dan puncak ion fragmen pada m/z 1205,09 yang mengindikasikan lepasnya satu molekul piridin sebagai terminal ligan. Kata kunci : senyawa oksotrinuklir, sintesis satu langkah, ruthenium, piridin.   Abstract Synthesis of oxotrinuclear with pyridine as terminal ligand [Ru3O(OOCC6H5)6 (C5H5N)3]ClO4 has been carried out. Oxotrinuclear compound from synthesis was characterized using FT-IR spectrophotometer and mass spectrometer. The FTIR spectrum shows that oxotrinuclear compound has vibration at wavelength 698 cm-1 and mass spectrometer spectrum shows oxotrinuclear compound has pyridine as terminal ligand which easily fragmented indicated by molecular ion peak at m/z 1283.14 and ion fragment peak at m/z 1205.09. These values revealed one molecule of pyridine lost from terminal ligand. Keywords : oxotrinuclear compound, one step synthesis, ruthenium, pyridine.

Abstract

Performance of catalytic desulfurization of benzothiophen (BT) was studied using polyoxometalates as catalyst. Polyoxometalates H3[a-PW12O40] and  H4[a-SiW12O40], have different heteroatom in Keggin structure and catalytic activities. Polyoxometalates H3[a-PW12O40] and  H4[a-SiW12O40] have high crystallinity with homogeneous distribution particles. Desulfurization of BT using polyoxometalates H3[a-PW12O40] and H4[a-SiW12O40] resulted % conversion up to 99% for 3 h reaction time and at temperature 40 oC. Application of polyoxometalates H3[a-PW12O40] and H4[a-SiW12O40] for crude oil desulfurization showed % conversion of 4-88%. The main functional groups of polyoxometalates still retained after catalytic desulfurization indicated the stability of polyoxometalate compounds

Abstract

Telah disintesis senyawa tris(4-metoksifenil)tolilsilan (TMT) dengan teknik reaksi kopling menggunakan tolilsilan dan 4-iodida anisol yang dikatalis senyawa paladium. Reaksi dilakukan dalam kondisi inert dan suasana basa. Senyawa TMT hasil sintesis dikarakterisasi menggunakan kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa dan spektrometer 1H dan 13C NMR. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa senyawa TMT hasil sintesis memiliki rendemen sebesar 30%. Pengukuran menggunakan kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa menghasilkan nilai m/z sebesar 440. Spektrum 1H NMR menunjukkan lima puncak proton ekivalen dan spektrum 13C NMR menghasilkan sepuluh puncak karbon ekivalen. Hasil karakterisasi tersebut bersesuaian dengan struktur senyawa TMT hasil sintesis.   Kata kunci: tris(4-metoksifenil)tolilsilan, reaksi kopling, paladium

Abstract

Kaolinite was impregnated with cellulose extracted from rubber wood fibers has been done. The product of impregnated kaolinite-cellulose was characterized using FT-IR spectrophotometer. Furthermore, the impregnation results are used as an adsorbent of Congo red. Adsorption of Congo red was also studied the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters. The results of characterization using FT-IR spectrophotometer shows the process of impregnation was successfully conducted. It was indicated that the presence wavenumber at 910.4 - 918.12 cm-1 and 1033.85 cm-1 become 1026.13 cm-1 and the existence of vibration at wavenumber 2931.8 cm-1. The pH of adsorption was adjusted to 4 before the adsorption process. The adsorption process of cellulose impregnated kaolinite shows the rate of adsorption (k) of 0.002 min-1, the adsorption reviews largest capacity (b) at 50 °C was 500 mol/g. The greatest adsorption energy (E) at 40 °C is 11:09 kJ/mol. The enthalpy value (ΔH) and entropy (ΔS) decreased with increasing Congo red dye concentration. Abstract

Biodisel telah diproduksi dari minyak jelantah melalui reaksi transesterifikasi menggunakan katalis hasil dekomposisi kerang darah. Kerang darah didekomposisi pada berbagai temperatur dimulai dari 600-1100oC pada kondisi udara terbuka menggunakan furnace.Produk dekomposisi dianalisa menggunakan difraktometer X-Ray.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan temperatur optimum dekomposisi kerang darah terjadi pada temperatur 900oC.Pola XRD produk dekomposisi pada 900 oC mirip dengan pola XRD kalsium oksida standar. Penggunaan katalis hasil dekomposisi untuk produksi biodiesel menghasilkan viskositas dan densitas biodiesel sebesar 5,81 mm2/s dan 0,87 g/cm3. Hasil ini sesuai dengan standar biodiesel dari SNI yakni viskositas dan densitas yang disyaratkan SNI sebesar 2,3-6,0 mm2/s dan 0,85-0,89 g/cm3. Biodiesel was produced from waste cooking oil by transestrification reaction using decomposed cockle shell as catalyst. Cockle shell was decomposed at various temperatures ranging from 600-1100oC in open air condition using furnace. The decomposed product was analyzed using X-Ray diffractometer. The results showed that the optimum temperature for decomposition of cockle shell was at 900 oC. The XRD pattern of decomposed product at 900oC was similar with XRD pattern of calcium oxide standard. The use of decomposed shell to produce biodiesel resulted viscosity and density of biodiesel 5.81 mm2/s and 0.87 g/cm3, respectively. These results are appropriate with biodiesel standard form SNI where the viscosity and density of biodiesel from SNI value were 0.85-0.89 g/cm3 and 2.3-6.0 mm2/s.

Abstract

Preparation of polyoxometalate compound of (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O supported with silica derived from the hydrolysis of tetraethyl orthosilicate by sol-gel method has been conducted. The compound was synthesized and characterized using FT-IR spectrophotometer, crystallinity using XRD analysis and the determination of acidity via quantitatively and qualitatively. Qualitative analysis was performed using ammonia and pyridine adsorption and quantitative analysis using potentiometric titration. FT-IR spectrum of (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O appeared in wavenumber 786.96 cm-1 (W-OC-W), 918.12 cm-1 (W-Oe-W), 964.41 cm-1 (W=O), 1087.85 cm-1 (P-O), 3572.17 cm-1 (O-H),  1404.18 cm-1 (N-H) reinforced with wavenumber 1612.49 cm-1 with show vibration  NH dari NH+, and to  (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O/SiO2 appears in wavenumbers 794.67 cm-1 (W-Oc-W), 918.12 cm-1 (W-Oe-W), 1049.28 cm-1 (W=O), 1087.85  cm-1 (P-O), 3564.15 cm-1 (O-H), 470.63 cm-1 (Si-O). Diffraction pattern of (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O and (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O/SiO2 compound show high crystanillity. The acidic properties showed (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O/SiO2 more acidic than (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O. Analysis of the effect of temperature on the stability of the compounds polyoxometalate (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O/SiO2 show that the temperature of 600ºC the shift in  wavenumbers of the compounds caused by vibration  W=O, W-OC-W,  W-Oe-W has been lost. This shows that at a temperatures of 600ºC on heating can cause changes in the structure of polyoxometalate (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62)nH2O/SiO2. Keywords : (NH4)6(β-P2W18O62).nH2O, Polyoxometalate, SiO2
