Abstract

A variety of social phenomena associated with demoralizationbecome a burden for education, especially for Islamic education. TheIslamic education which is synonymous with religious values and moralityis considered instrumental in the development of this nation’s morality.One of the foundations of phylosophy in Islamic education is what is then calledthe philosophy of Islamic education. It becomes the foundation and referenceof all the movements and activities of Islamic education. Then, there are needsof some sort of redevelopment or reconstruction of the Islamic educationphylosophy. This philosophy of Islamic education should be oriented on twothings: First, the purpose of human creation, namely as a servant and as acaliph. Abstract

The paradigm has an important role in looking at an object reality.Critical paradigm look at reality as part of the system created. The orientationof this critical paradigm is a change towards the better. Abstract

Ibtidaiyyah Madrasah (MI) is an essential part ofIslamic education. In MI, students begin learning basic process.One of the main subjects taught in MI is a social sciences (IPS). Ingeneral, the IPS has a great purpose in order to make learners to begood citizens. In realizing its effectiveness, teachers are importantfactors of IPS learning process in MI. The competent ones must besupported by some of the factors that influence it. This study carriedout tests on the influence of motivation, educational background,and ability to use the media to the professional competence of anMI social studies teacher at Kudus Regency. It used a quantitativeapproach by statistical method. Data analysis used SPSS. Fromthe analysis of the data, it is concluded that motivation variable,educational background, and media ability doubly influence 55,4%of professional competence variable While 44.6 % of the teachers’professional competence is influenced by factors or other variables .Key words: educational background, media ability motivation,professional competence

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In today’s world, the existence of female circumcision is still in debate. It is called voluntary female circumcision or it is also known as Female Genital Mutilation(FGM). Here, female circumcision is often associated with religious teachings and traditions of society that must always be maintained. For some f­eminists, f­emale circumcision is considered as the practice of violence that should be eliminated from society. Community culture and religious traditions that have been more nuanced patriarchal, became the legitimacy of the continuity of this practice. This paper describes some trends of circumcision, implementation of women, the religious dimension, tradition and critical review of this practice. Abstract

Mendengar kata Gerwani, maka akan terbayang kebrutalan dan kekejaman kaum wanita, hal itu yang setidaknya penulis alami waktu masih remaja. Sebagaimana induk organisasinya PKI, Gerwani yang merupakan onderbrow PKI inipun mempunyai asosiasi yang sama. Pada masa Orde baru, PKI dan seluruh organisasi yang bernaung di dalamnya di tahbiskan sebagai organisasi yang biadab. Propaganda anti PKI ditanamkan dalam segala aspek, dan memiliki implikasi politis. Setiap orang yang memiliki garis keturunan PKI, maka akan dikucilkan dan mendapat stigma yang luar biasa buruk. Tidak hanya berhenti di situ, PKI kemudian dianggap sebagai organisasi yang terlarang di Indonesia. Salah satu propaganda yang cukup efektif adalah pemutaran film G30S/PKI yang diputar setiap malam tanggal 30 September. Dalam salah satu adegan tersebut, ditampakkan kebrutalan dan kekejaman yang di lakukan oleh PKI dengan menculik, menyiksa, membunuh dan mengubur hidup- hidup para jendral ABRI. Dan adegan itu dilengkapi dengan penyiksaan yang dilakukan oleh kaum wanita yang tergabung dalam Gerakan wanita Indonesia atau Gerwani.

Abstract

AbstractSCIENTIFICATION OF ISLAM AND EDUCATION DICHOTOMY PROBLEM. This writing is trying to analyze about the tendency of dichotomy that happened in Islam scholarly. A dichotomy is practically reflected in the dichotomy pattern in education. Segregation demarcation between general education and religious education. Eventually gave birth to stratification between the two educations, where the Islamic education was considered in lower position. One of the efforts to develop Islamic scholarly is tominimized dichotomy problem is called Islamic scientification. Islamic scientification is indicated that there is an excavations in Islamic khazanah that gave birth to the concept and the theory that are relevant to what ummah need. Scientification of Islam is expected to be knowledge Islam will be able to develop not only in bayani and metaphysic dimensions. But more than that, the integration of knowledge, as there was the beginning in the twentieth century can be raised again. Keyword: Islamic Scientification, Dichotomy, Education. AbstrakTulisan ini mencoba menganalisis tentang kecenderungan dikotomi yang terjadi pada keilmuan Islam. Dikotomi ini secara praktis tercermin dari corak dikotomi dalam pendidikan. Pemisahan secara demarkatis antara pendidikan umum dan pendidikan agama. Hingga pada akhirnya melahirkan stratifikasi antar dua pendidikan tersebut,  di mana posisi pendidikan Islam dianggap lebih rendah. Salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan keilmuan Islam dalam meminimalisasi problem dikotomik ini adalah apa yang disebut dengan pengilmuan Islam. Pengilmuan Islam mengisyaratkan adanya penggalian khazanah keislaman sehingga melahirkan konsep dan teori yang relevan dengan kebutuhan umat. Dengan pengilmuan Islam, diharapkan ilmu Islam akan mampu berkembang tidak hanya pada dimensi bayani dan metafisik saja. Namun lebih dari itu, integrasi ilmu pengetahuan, sebagaimana yang terjadi pada abad permulaan, dapat dibangkitkan kembali.  Kata Kunci: Pengilmuan Islam, Dikotomi, Pendidikan.

Abstract

Pada masa sekarang ini, keberadaan khitan perempuan masih dalam perdebatan. Hal ini disebut sukarela sunat sukarela perempuan atau juga dikenal sebagai mutilasi Alat Kelamin Perempuan (FGM). Di sini, sunat perempuan sering dikaitkan dengan ajaran agama dan tradisi masyarakat yang harus selalu dijaga. Bagi Untuk beberapa feminis, sunat perempuan dianggap sebagai praktik kekerasan yang harus dihilangkan dari masyarakat. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana tradisi, keberagamaan dan juga isu gender berpengaruh dalam membentuk pandangan masyarakat terkait praktik sunat perempuan ini. Budaya masyarakatdan tradisi keagamaan yang lebih bernuansa patriarki,menjadi legitimasi kelangsungan praktek ini. Melalui metode kualitatif, tulisan ini menemuka njelaskan beberapa tren sunat perempuan, pelaksanaannya padaperempuan, dimensi agama, tradisi dan tinjauan kritis dari praktek ini .Kata kunci: sunat perempuan, tradisi, agama dankekerasan jender. In today’s world, the existence of female circumcision isstill in debate.
