Abstract

Abstract: Many researches revealed that many students have difficulties in constructing proofs. Based on our empirical data, we develop a quadrant model to describe students? classification of proof result. The quadrant model classifies a students? proof construction based on the result of mathematical thinking. The aim of this article is to describe a students? comprehension of proof based on the quadrant model in order to give appropriate suggested learning. The research is an explorative research and was conducted on 26 students majored in mathematics education in public university in Banten province, Indonesia. The main instrument in explorative research was researcher itself. The support instruments are proving-task and interview guides. These instruments were validated from two lecturers in order to guarantee the quality of instruments.Based on the results, some appropriate learning activities should be designed to support the students? characteristics from each quadrant, i.e: a hermeneutics approach, using the two-column form method, learning using worked-example, or using structural method.Keywords:proof, proving learning, undergraduate, quadrant model Memahami Strategi Pengajaran Pembuktian Matematis di Perguruan TinggiAbstrak: Banyakpeneliti pendidikan matematika menyatakan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam mengonstruksi bukti. Berdasarkan kajian empiris, penulis membangun suatu model kuadran untuk mendeskripsikan kategori konstruksi bukti yang dibangun siswa. Model kuadran tersebut mengklasifikasikan konstruksi bukti berdasarkan cara berpikir matematis saiwa. Adapun tujuan dari artikel ini ialah mendeskripsikan pemahaman siswa dalam mengonstruksi bukti berdasarkan model kuadran serta memberikan saran strategi pembelajarannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif yang melibatkan 26 mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika pada universitas negeri di Provinsi Banten. Instrumen utama dalam penelitian eksploratif adalah peneliti sendiri. Instrumen pendukungnya ialah tugas pembuktian matematis dan panduan wawancara. Kedua instrumen pendukung tersebut telah divalidasi untuk menjamin kualitas instrumen yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini memberikan saran terkait aktivitas pembelajaran yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh pengajar agar sesuai dengan karakteristik berpikir siswa dalam mengonstruksi bukti pada masing-masing kuadran, misalnya : pendekatan heurmenistik, menggunakan metode dua-kolom, pembelajaran worked-example ataupun menggunakan metode terstruktur.Kata Kunci: bukti, pengajaran bukti, mahasiswa, model kuadran

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan bidang studi (content knowledge) sebagai unsur pembentuk kompetensi mahasiswa calon guru matematika dengan pembelajaran blended learning. Pengetahuan bidang studi dalam hal ini disebut hasil belajar. Desain penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen karena akan membandingkan pengaruh suatu perlakuan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes. Untuk uji persyaratan normalitas, digunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov, sedangkan uji homogenitas digunakan uji Levene. Untuk mengetahui perbedaan rerata, digunakan uji-t jika data berdistribusi normal. Sementara, jika data tidak berdistribusi normal digunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Hasil tes akhir pembelajaran dibandingkan untuk mengetahui pengaruh blended learning terhadap hasil belajar. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas blended learning lebih baik daripada kelas biasa. Selain itu, mahasiswa blended learning lebih aktif mengerjakan tugas daripada kelas biasa. Kata Kunci: blended learning, calon guru matematika, content knowledge A BLENDED LEARNING MODEL IN THE MATHEMATICS EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM IN UNTIRTA Abstract:This study was aimed to improve the content knowledge as an element for developing students? competence through blended learning. In this study, this content knowledge is called learning achievement. The study used the experimental design. The data were collected using a test. To test the normality of data distribution, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was utilized, while to test the homogeneity of the variances, the Levene?s test was used. To test the hypothesis, the t-test was used. The findings showed that the learning achievement of the students taught using blended learning was better than that of those taught using the conventional method. In addition, the students taught using the blended learning were more active in doing the assignment than those in the conventional class. Abstract

We study the relation between two known n-norms on lp, the space ofp-summable sequences. One n-norm is derived from GÄahlers formula (1969), whilethe other is due to Gunawan (2001). We show in particular that the convergence inone n-norm implies that in the other. Abstract

The ability of mathematical reflective thinking is the ability to interpret a case based on the mathematical concepts involved, can evaluate the truth of an argument, can draw analogies from two similar cases, can analyze and clarify questions and answers, can generalize, and can distinguish between relevant data and not relevant. This ability is one of the high-level thinking skills that can be optimized through integrated learning in everyday life, namely learning with Environmental Based Problem Based Learning. To find out, a quasi-experimental study was conducted which aimed to find out the improvement of mathematical reflective thinking skills in terms of the high, medium and low mathematical abilities of the group. The subject of the research was class XI in SMA Negeri 1 Cilegon which was selected by cluster random sampling in the sequence and series material. The results of the data analysis showed that the Environmental Based Problem Based Learning model was better than the expository learning in improving the achievement and improvement of students' mathematical reflective thinking skills both viewed as a whole and viewed from the initial high, medium and low mathematical abilities. Keywords: Ability Of Mathematical Reflective Thinking, Environment-Based Problem Based Learning

Abstract

[Title: Development of Quick Math Module Based on Mobile Learning as a Support for Mathematics Learning in High School]. Learning resources is a very important component of the learning process. One of the learning resources that can be utilized independently is the module. The purpose of this research is to develop the Quick Math module and evaluate the feasibility of the module. The development model used is the ADDIE model namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The subject in this study was 15 students consisting of low, moderate and high-performance level and 6 teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Kota Serang. The instruments used to collect data in this research consist of expert validation questionnaire (content and media), Teacher and student response questionnaire. Based on data analysis results, obtained the score of the content material about 86.4% with a very feasible category, media experts about 88% with very feasible category, teacher response of 92% with very good category and student response of 88.39% with the very good category. Based on the data analysis it can be concluded that the Quick Math module is developed feasible to be used as a learning resource in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum. This app makes it easy for students to access flexible learning resources wherever and whenever

Abstract

The phenomenon of boarding school has evolved since the 1990s. In addition to having advantages, the school also has barriers in the learning process. Therefore, the need to explore some information directly related to the reasons why boarding school is developed, students? life in school together and the learning process that occurred. The research method is used  a qualitative approach. Schools in this study are limited to Islamic boarding schools at junior high school level in grade VII. The research procedure is undertaken to find the phenomenon of research subjects that occurred at boarding schools. The validity of data in this research uses source and method triangulation techniques, namely by checking phenomena obtained from observations, interviews with parents, interviews with students, interviews with teachers, and interviews with teachers dormitories. The general conclusion regarding Islamic-based boarding schools is that the school has become the choice of parents in educating their children to gain abilities in the religious and academic fields. In mathematics learning, the teachers prefer direct approach learning rather than indirect learning, and also most of them do not use a lesson plan as teaching guides. Therefore, the school must be able to choose and apply a learning approach oriented to the conditions of diversity that occur in boarding schools so that students have no difficulty in receiving the subject matter.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model contextual teaching and learning dan self-regulated learning terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa, ditinjau dari siswa kategori self-regulated learning (tinggi, sedang, rendah). Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMK Darul Fikri Pandeglang, sampel dipilih dua kelas secara acak, yaitu kelas X RPL 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas X TSM 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melaui tes dan non tes. Tes berupa 6 soal kemampuan koneksi matematis, sedangkan non tes berupa soal angket self-regulated learning. Pretest diberikan sebagai tes awal sebelum perlakuan contextual teaching and learning, sedangkan posttes dilakukan setelah diberikan perlakuan contextual teaching and learning.  Hasil yang diperoleh setelah proses pembelajaran dengan contextual teaching and learning dan self regulated learning terlihat adanya pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model contextual teaching and learning dan self-regulated learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar  matematika berbasis kearifan lokal dikarenakan belum banyak tersedianya bahan  ajar matematika berbasis kearifan lokal dan bahan  ajar ini diharapkan layak untuk digunakan, karena itu, peneliti membuat suatu karya bahan ajar  berbasis kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi persamaan linier dua variabel. Metode dari penelitian ini adalah Research and Development Model ADDIE. Langkah-langkah pengembangan yang ditempuh adalah (1) analyze (analisis), (2) design (perancangan), (3) development (pengembangan), (4) Implementation (Implementasi),  (5) evaluation (evaluasi). Uji kelayakan berdasarkan  penilaian dari para ahli menunjukan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal memperoleh kategori sangat baik dengan hasil penilaian dan validasi oleh ahli materi yaitu 80.00%  dan hasil penilaian dan validasi oleh ahli media 85% sehingga bahan ajar berbasis kearifan lokal ini layak untuk digunakan. Uji kelayakan berdasarkan  angket respon siswa menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar matematika berbasis kearifan lokal ini memperoleh kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 81% sehingga bahan ajar matematika   berbasis kearifan lokal layak digunakan.
