Abstract

In the course of our continuing search for novel paralytic compound from Indonesian plants, the methanol extract of the stem bark of Erythrina variegata (Leguminosae) showed significant paralytic activity against the third instar larvae of silkworm (Bombyx mori). The purposes of this research were isolation and structural elucidation of paralytic compound from the stem bark of E. variegata. Using the paralytic activity following the separation, the methanol extract was separated by combination of column chromatography to yield prenylisoflavone, warangalone. The chemical structure of warangalone was identified based on spectroscopic evidence and comparison with the previous reported. The paralytic activity of warangalone showed weak activity against the third instar larvae of silkworm (B. mori).

Abstract

In the some way as Christianity, Islam poses itself as a preaching religion. A preach for the truth of Islam represents Allah's order and is valued as a  holy preach. The preach to obey God con be seen from different points. Seen from its mod'u, it is offered to oil human beings, regardless their races and languages.  Seen from its materials, Islamic preach covers oil aspects of human life in which universal human values become its principles. According to lsmo'il Roii ol-Foruqi, Islamic preach hos to represents the spirit of freedom, rationality, and universality. Consequently, Islam must be preached in politeness, freedom, and responsibility  as well as without any pressure because the truth of Islam is rational.

Abstract

Its occurence as a secondary metabolite compound which is expected to be the chemical constituent that gives medicinal value to certain plant. Senggugu have been use as medicine for a long time and have been reported to contain steroid.  Because of that, this study?s objective is to isolate steroid compounds from Senggugu?s roots bark. Senggugu?s roots bark powder is extracted using fractional maceration using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol to obtain ethyl acetate fraction of senggugu?s roots bark extract. The extract then fractionated further using Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC) with n-hexane?ethyl acetate?methanol gradient eluents to obtain ten fractions. Further purification is performed on fraction D using Gravity Column Chromatography with n-hexane?ethyl acetate gradient eluents producing eight fractions that?s monitored using Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC). Purification that was performed on fraction D7 by recrystallization yielding 17 mg isolate. That isolate then tested for purity and spectroscopic analysis using GC-MS, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR. Isolate N1 spectral data then compared against reference ?-sitosterol and stigmasterol followed by TLC analysis on the same system using anisaldehyde as stain marker. Isolation procedure yielding in isolate N1 which is white powder with melting point 138-1410C and chemical formula C29H50O. In accordance to the spectral analysis of isolate N1 and comparison against existing data base, we propose that isolate N1 is Stigmast-7-en-3?-ol which is a new steroid from Clerodendrum serratum that have yet to be reported.Keywords : Steroid, (3?, 7?, 24S)-Stigmastan-3-ol  dan Clerodendrum serratumABSTRAK Steroid merupakan senyawa penting dalam pengobatan. Keberadaannya sebagai salah satu diantara golongan senyawa metabolit sekunder diharapkan menjadi konstituen kimia yang memberi nilai pengobatan pada suatu tumbuhan. Senggugu telah lama dimanfaatkan sebagai obat secara tradisonal dan dilaporkan mengandung steroid. Karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi senyawa steroid dari kulit akar senggugu. Sebuk kulit akar senggugu diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi bertingkat mulai n-heksan, etil asetat hingga metanol, sehingga diperoleh ekstrak fraksi etil asetat kulit akar senggugu. Ekstrak tersebut kemudian difraksinasi menggunakan KCV (Kromatografi Cair Vakum) eluen n-heksan-etil asetat-metanol secara bergradien, diperoleh sepuluh fraksi. Selanjutnya pada fraksi D dilakukan isolasi senyawa menggunkan KKG (Kromatografi Kolaom Grafitasi) eluen n-heksan-etil asetat secara bergradien pula, dihasilkan delapan fraksi yang dipantau dengan KLT. Pemurnian isolat dilakukan pada fraksi D7 dengan cara rekristalisasi, diperoleh isolat N1 sebanyak 17 mg. Isolat tersebut di uji kemurniannya dan dilakukan analisis spektroskopi GC-MS, 1H-NMR dan 13C-NMR. Data spektra isolat N1 dibandingkan dengan ?-sitosterol dan stigmasterol serta dilakukan analisis KLT dalam sistem yang sama dengan penampak noda anisaldehida. Hasil isolasi yang diperoleh adalah isolat N1 berbentuk serbuk putih dengan titik lebur 138-1410C dan rumus molekul C29H50O. Berdasarkan analisis data spektra isolat N1 yang dibandingkan dengan data terdahulu, maka kami mengusulkan bahwa isolat N1 adalah Stigmast-7-en-3?-ol yang merupakan steroid baru dari Clerodendrum serratum yang belum pernah dilaporkan.Kata Kunci : Steroid, Stigmast-7-en-3?-ol  dan Clerodendrum serratum

Abstract

Indonesian Crude Oil Price (ICP) often fluctuates by the shock of world oil prices. Because of its important role, the fluctuations or shocks in ICP will affect Indonesia's macro economy. To overcome this problem, this study analyzes the impact of the crude oil price shocks on Indonesia's macro economy which includes economic growth and the money supply (M2) during 2010-2016 using Vector Error Correction Mechanism (VECM). The results show that short-term fluctuations of ICP have a significant and positive effect on economic growth but have a non-significant effect on the money supply. In the long term equilibrium, ICP have a positive and significant effect to both economic growth and money supply which in line with Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Decomposition of Variance (FEDV) analysis. Given its positive impact, the recent decline in oil prices will harm the Indonesian economy. Therefore, the government needs to reduce its dependence on crude oil exports and accurately predict the crude oil price in the future.

Abstract

Masalah kematian ibu dan anak masih menjadi prioritas dalam isu kesehatan secara nasional. Pemberdayaan masyarakat dianggap menjadi salah satu bagian penting untuk mengatasi masalah Angka kematian Ibu (AKI) dan Anak serta Angka Kematian Bayi (AKI). Beberapa program inovasi yang ada untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat dinilai masih kurang optimal. Salah satu program inovasi inovasi pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu Pemberdayaan Anrong Bunting sebagai upaya penurunan angka Kematian Ibu dan Anak (AKI) dan Angka Kematian Bayi (AKB). Anrong Bunting merupakan istilah dalam bahasa Makassar yang berarti orang yang dipercaya untuk mengurus calon pengantin. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kelompok mitra tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak (KIA). Mitra dinilai sebagai pihak yang berpotensial sebagai mitra penyuluh kesehatan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang KIA bagi calon mempelai yang akan membina rumah tangga. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian yaitu Anrong Bunting. Anrong Bunting terdiri dari perias penganti dan pendamping calon pengantin, sehingga terdapat 2 (dua) mitra yaitu kelompok perias pengantin dan pendamping calon pengantin. Solusi yang ditawarkan berupa pelatihan tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan KIA serta pembagian buku saku kesehatan reproduksi dan KIA bagi mitra. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adannya peningkatan pengetahuan mitra dai 40% menjadi 65% tentang kesehatan reproduksi dan KIA. Diharapkan kepada pihak Dinas Kesehatan dan tokoh masyarakat lainnya juga terlibat dalam sustainabilitas program yang dilaksanakan. Mitra yang mendapatkan pelatihan dapat melakukan diseminasi informasi kepada anrong bunting lainnya. Lokasi pengabdian masyarakat di Desa Sanrobone Kabupaten Takalar.

Abstract

Puzzle hijaiyah Elektronik Interaktif adalah games edukasi kombinasi dari piranti lunak dan perangkat keras untuk membantu sarana pembelajaran anak-anak usia dini dalam pengenalan huruf-huruf hijaiyah Al-Quran. Pada saat penyusunan puzzle memiliki indikator berupa suara dan gambar animasi bergerak ketika penyusunan puzzle benar yang ditampilkan pada layar smartphone android. Pembuatan puzzle hijaiyah elektronik ini memanfaatkan alat-alat elektronik antara lain untuk membaca perubahan high atau low menggunakan sensor cahaya photodioda, untuk mengontrol menyala LED menggunakan IC demultiplexer, gerbang OR digunakan untuk menggabungkan keluaran dari setiap sensor dan memanfaatkan keluaran logika low, mikrokontroler DT-AVR Maxiduino sebagai pengontrol kerja komponen lain dan pengolah data yang diterima dari setiap sensor, Basic4Android sebagai editor pembuatan interface pada smartphone android yang digunakan untuk mengolah data yang dikirim dari mikrokontroler, bluetooth HC-06 sebagai alat komunikasi antara mikrokontroler dengan smartphone android. Pengujian alat ini berfungsi 100% dalam pengiriman dan penerimaan data melalui komunikasi bluetooth, alat ini berhasil dan dapat digunakan. Diharapkan dengan adanya alat ini dapat membuat anak-anak lebih tertarik lagi untuk belajar sehingga untuk belajar Al- quran dapat lebih menarik lagi dan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir dan membuat anak belajar berkonsentrasi.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Senggugu (Clerodendrum serratum) is one of the potential plants as the source of natural antioxidant. Traditionally, some Asian countries, as well as Indonesia, has been applied this plant for treatment in various diseases. The leaf and stems of Clerodendrum pholimidis and Clerodendrum viscosum that are the same genus with senggugu indicated that they are potential as an antioxidant. The Senggugu plants growing in India, China and Malaysia have been reported that the extracts of the plant are also active as an antioxidant. The objective of this work is to study antioxidant activity of ethyl acetate extracts of the senggugu root-stem collected from Imogiri, Yogyakarta. The extract was obtained through sequential maceration technique using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol solvents. The antioxidant activity of the extract was then examined by DPPH (2,2-dipphenyl-1-pycryl hydrazyl) and rutin as the standard antioxidant. The results showed that the ethyl acetate extracts of root-stem of the senggugu have antioxidant activity property with IC50 of 30.968±0.686 μg/mL and IC50 of 1.741±0.091 μg/mL for rutin as the standard antioxidant. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the development of investment and employment in South Kalimantan and to analyze the effect of investment and employment in the agricultural sector to GDP in South Kalimantan. This research is a quantitative study by conducting data collection at the Central Bureau of Statistics South Kalimantan Province pertaininglabour and the economy GDP Data and at Bappeda South Kalimantan and BKPMD (Investment Coordinating Board) South Kalimantan related PMA and PMD data investments as well as data from the Investment Credit Bank Indonesia Banjarmasin.The results showed that the province of South Kalimantan economy during the year 2002-2011grow positively. The condition is mainly supported by a number of industries (which are labour intensive) and the number of people working in agriculture, trade, and mining. However, no significant investment to GDP of Agriculture Sector in South Kalimantan was observed. Labour is still positive but not significant effect on GDP of Agriculture Sector. Taken together investment and employment significantly influence GDP of Agriculture Sector in South Kalimantan, though only 61.5% of the dependent variable explained by the independent variable, while the remaining 38.5% was explained by outside the regression model. It was suggested that the governments of South Kalimantan Province should do efforts to improve the quality of the labour force (i.e., by the local government. The role of the investment must also be adapted to the spirit of regional autonomy and should be encouraged to increase investment conducive situation, mapping the potential area and the establishment of integrated services in the unit for easy service creation and investment business license in order to avoid mistakes in investing and avoid systematic risks.

Abstract

Increased productivity of rice is required to meet the increasing food demand. Utilization of marginal lands, such as saline land is one of the solutions applicable to increase rice production. The objective of this study was to determine the growth and yield of Inpari 29 rice variety planted on raised-bed and different depths of sunken-bed in saline field. This study used the Split Plot Design with two treatments. The depth as the main plot consisted of two depth levels: a depth of 50 cm and a depth of 25; and the planting area field as the subplot that consisted of two levels: raised-bed and sunken-bed. The treatment was repeated three times. The rice planted in sunken-bed showed higher growth than in raised-bed as indicated by the high content of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, nitrate reductase activity and plant height. The rice planted in the sunken-bed yielded higher than in raised-bed as indicated by higher harvest index and the weight of grain per clump. Rice planted in 25 cm depth showed higher nitrate reductase activity and grain weight per clump than in 50 cm depth.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the compensation systems and employee performance as well as the correlation between compensation and employee performance UPT. Laboratory Construction and Heavy Equipment UPR Roads and Public Works Department of East Kutai. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive approach. The results of this study indicate that the value of Spearman rank correlation coefficient (rs) = 0.333. The result of this calculation is greater than the critical value of the prices in the table Spearman rank correlation coefficient, for n = 36 at a significance level of 5%, that is equal to 0.329. This means that there is a correlation or a positive and significant relationship between variable compensation with performance variables. The results also showed that R-Square is generated is equal to 0.111. This means that the variable compensation accounted for 11.1% of the gains generated by employees of UPT.
