Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sumber informasi pemilu dan perilaku pencarian informasi pemilu serentak tahun 2019 di kalangan pemilih pemula di Kota Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan menyebarkan angket kepada responden penelitian sebanyak 377 orang. Analisis data menggunakan nilai skor rata-rata yang dihitung dengan menggunakan SPSS 2.5. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa pemilih pemula di Kota Pekanbaru mayoritas (66,8 persen) mengakses informasi pemilu melalui media sosial. Informasi yang paling banyak diakases adalah berita yang berkaitan dengan calon presiden dan wakil presiden. Perilaku pencarian informasi pemilih pemula di Kota pekanbaru mencakup tahapan starting, chaining, browsing, differentiating, monitoring, extracting, verifying, dan ending.

Abstract

The research entitled moral representation in the movie hanung bramantyo habibie rudy the works (analysis of semiotic roland barthes). The story of the film in the true story of young man named baharudin jusuf habibie who tried to create an aircraft as well as build the aerospace industry indonesia. Inu research aims to find out how the moral messages in the film rudy habibie presented which then generate moral as human relationships with humans, the relationship of man with god, as well as human relationships the social environment.This study uses qualitative methods, with Roland Barthes semiotics analysis approach, taking a subject that is focused upon the character rudy. With views through faceted Denoted (signifier) describes the relationship of signifier and signified on reality, meaning explicit. Connotation (signified) describes the relationship of signifier and signified to non-reality, generate an implicit meaning and myth (the myth) explained the habits and beliefs prevailing in the society. In this study the scene is divided into 3 parts namely the relationship of man with man, the human relationship with the social environment with 11 scene data analysis unit. Data collection with the corpus contained in the film in accordance with the categorization of the already determined.The results of this research show that the representation of the moral messages in the film rudy this is habibie. First, look at human relationships with humans. Second, look at the relationship of man with god. Abstract

Local government has started to give special attention in Riau Tourism sector lately. Riau tourism potential has been promoted. One of them is Rupat Island. Rupat Island has an interesting ocean tourism in Riau. Online news become a tool in spreading information among many medias. According to Undang-Undang No. 40 Tahun 1999 about Pers explaining that online media is a product of mass media if it is based on pers? ethical code. Writer used qualitative descriptive methode. Writer used framing analysis Pan and Kosicki and agenda setting theory. Object of the research is news related to Pulau Rupat tourism in tripriau.com?s Wisata rubric from 19 April until 20 June 2016. Result shows that there is a framing from news? syntax and rethoric. Meanwhile, for media agenda, tripriau.com focus on presenting Rupat as a tourism destination. With a feature packaging, tripriau.com only presents news that media wants. The negative things that Rupat has almost dissapear from the news. Point of view in this news comes from journalist? and interviewer? side. Though, tripriau.com keep maintaining its media idelogy in delivering news. Abstract

Instagram @infopku_ is one of social media account which often sharing information about Pekanbaru or Riau, including information about forest fire in 2016 and make Indonesia increasingly synonymous with smoke disaster. Instagram @infopku_ share it through photos along with caption which was uploaded. Photo is one of the nonverbal communication media, it is important to examine the meaning of it. In this research, the writer wanted to see the message of @infopku_ photos.The method used qualitatively with Roland Barthes semiotic analysis which is part of the data analysis method in representative qualitative research. The data used was taken from Instagram and some references from internet. After collecting the data, it was analyzed to get the results.The findings of denotation meaning research showed events were happening directly.The connotation meaning explained that forest preservation is human responsibility.The mytical meaning of the five photographs generally contained of facts about the phenomenon that happened could be a warning to be more vigilant in dealing with it. Through the five photos was delivered to the whole Riau society especially to care about the condition of the forest whch is rich of benefits.

Abstract

The presence of independent partner is a new thing in local election (pemilukada) of Pekanbaru city. For the first time in history of local election (pemilukada) in Pekanbaru city a parter from independent candidate has passed and can fill all of the requirements for the election. This research aims to know the strategy of Politic Communication and the used of media campaigns by independent partner In Pekanbaru Mayor Election Period 2017 ? 2022.This research used descriptive qualitative method. The research subject involved independent partner Herman Nazar ? Defi Warman, the leader of winning team, vice secretary and inhabitants. The technique of collecting data used interview, observation, and documentation.The result from this research showed that strategy of politic communication used by the independent partner, Herman Nazar ? Defi Warman, if we see from SWOT analysis is have the power from social capital and economic capital. They also have a weakness in having network and strong basic massa. Using the opportunities by getting support from copy of id card which given by the inhabitants. The treaths are coming from incumbent partner and less participation from the inhabitants in the election. The Independent partner , Herman Nazar ? Defi Warman used face to face media by joining the direct campaign with the inhabitants. They also used social media such as facebook and youtube to post all of their activities during the campaign . The outside media were also used , such as street banner and billboard that put in strategic places. And also small format like booklet, brochure, poster, stciker, calender and pin which given away to the inhabitants.Keyword: Independent Candidate, Local Election, Political Communication

Abstract

2017 is the year of political party head again in the city of Pekanbaru precisely the turn of the term of mayor and vice mayor of Pekanbaru and the election of Pekanbaru mayor. The election of the head of this region was followed by the incumbent mayoral candidate and incumbent mayor?s deputy. At wednesday, February 15, 2017 election of the head of Pekanbaru city was held. The incumbent partner outperformed the other partner with the most voting 33,16% and was declared to win regional head election which made this pair again become mayor and deputy mayor of Pekanbaru in period 2017-2022.This research uses desciptive qualitative research type. The research subjects consisted of four successful Firdaus?s team and one community selected by using purposive technique. This studi uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. To achieve the validity of data in this research, the authors use the extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that the style of political communication Firdaus is verbal communication are that serious, firm, detailed, excessively in communicating and using simple language and educate at the time of campaign and nonverbal communication is that wearing blue malay clothing along with songket and white shirt, friendly to the public, focusing on the audience at the time of the campaign, dialogical campaigns in a room, speaking in a firm and formal tone, preferring direct communication and prioritizes verbal messages. Public relations political strategy in forming a political branding is a media is that social media, face-to-face media, small format media, and outdoor media. The messages of production that arange and make the messages as well as possible and pay attention to the content of any messages that will be delivered both spoken and written. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out what forms of violence that often occurs in Opera Van Java (OVJ) Show and find out how adolescent perceptions of violence in Opera Van Java (OVJ) in the North Tangkerang District of Bukit Raya Pekanbaru.This study used a qualitative descriptive approach, namely measurement of certain social phenomena descriptively. In this study, researchers used the informant through key person. The data were analyzed qualitatively is the response of adolescents about violence that occurred in Opera Van Java (OVJ) Show at Trans7 Station.OVJ show can shape the cultures of violence. This means that the television is able to break through into the souls of children and adolescents in applying what they get from television in everyday life. The violence in OVJ Show can influences the behavior of children and adolescents. They can be affected in a positive direction or a negative direction depending on the child or adolescent individually. OVJ Show on Trans 7 affects children and adolescents because of the ability to create the impression and perception that a charge in tv show to becomes more real so they want to try what they see on the television to be referred to as the jocks in their environment.Keywords: Perception, Teen, Violence, OVJ Show

Abstract

Twitter is a social media that allows users to send and read messages called tweets (chirp), the tweets are text messages are limited to 140 characters displayed on the user profile page. Due to its extensive use and fast, becoming a social media to spread the ideas and thoughts concerning the political and social issues lately. Twitter now has developed also as a means of political campaigns and self-image, on political campaigns conducted by the political elite in social media is a form of political communication as a political activity. This study aims to (1) To determine how the image-building efforts Bakrie as candidates President on Twitter (2) to determine how student opinion of Communication Studies at the imaging Fisipol Unri Bakrie at Twitter.In this research authors used qualitative research methods with the presentation of descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques based on observation, interviews and documentation. Informants in this study were 8 people taken by purposive technique. This study uses a model of image formation and Ardianto Soemirat, by using a technique that checks the validity of the data through the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate Bakrie use Twitter as a medium of spreading information on the activities done during January and February 2014. Bakrie regularly informed about the activities themselves in activities visit and provide assistance to flood victims in Jakarta also social events and roadshow in a number of cities in Indonesia. Through tweets related to flooding in Jakarta and roadshow, it appears that the Bakrie seeks to provide information about the activities and concerns. Bakrie tweets activity seeks to build its image, Bakrie tried to explain to the audience that he was concerned with the victims of the floods that hit Jakarta, Bakrie wants to show that he took to the location to be able to directly provide assistance. Abstract

News presentations on a rubric on the newspaper media is the result of coverage by a journalist. In addition to journalist, for the existence of news or the location of news on a rubric in the newspaper media will not be separated from the interaction editor. In sports coverage packed trough the rubric total sports, editors with teams have full autority in the determination of news, the selection of news topics and publishing. After reporters returned by reporting news acording to coverage in the field, the news will be filtered, peeled and packaged in one term ?editorial kitchen? this isi where the editorial team apply the policy in determine the the news. This research aims to determine the role of editors in determining the news on the total rubric sports in Riau Post newspaper, knowing the setting of news on the Arena page and know the process of news coverage on the page Ayo PSPS.This research uses qualitative research type with descriptive approach. Subjects in the study were responsible for Riau Post coverage, Riau Post journalist, and the person responsible for the page chosen by purposive technique. This study uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documantation. To achieve the validity of the data in this study , the authors use extension of participation and triangulation.The results show that first, the person who has authority in determining the news in this total sports rubric is the person responsible for the page. Secondly, the the setting of news arena page is based on the editorial policy or responsible for the page, which is putting forward the regional side, prioriziting high value news. Third, tehe news coverage process on the page Ayo PSPS the same as the coverage of sports news in general, which begins with the process of planning the coverage either based on innitiative and direction .
