Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the learning of writing short story at the first grade of SMP Negeri 1 Tumijajar Tulang Bawang Barat. The research used descriptive qualitative design. The result of the research showed that the teacher had done three steps in learning. They were: lesson planning, implementating, and assessing. In lesson planning, the teacher made the lesson plan without including the model of learning but other components had been included completely based on the lesson plan’s components in 2013 curriculum. In the implementation of learning, there were two activities: teacher’s activities and students’ activities. The activities that were done by teacher including three activities: pre activities, while activity and post activity. The assessment that was done by teacher including affective assessment through observation technique, cognitive assessment through oral and written test, and psychomotor assessment through practice test.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Tumijajar Tulang Bawang Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah melakukan tiga tahapan dalam pembelajaran yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan penilaian pembelajaran. Pada perencanaan pembelajaran, guru membuat rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP) tanpa mencantumkan model pembelajaran sedangkan komponen yang lain sudah dicantumkan berdasarkan komponen-komponen RPP pada Kurikulum 2013. Pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran terdapat dua aktivitas, yaitu aktivitas guru dan siswa. Aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh guru meliputi tiga kegiatan, yaitu kegiatan pendahuluan, kegiatan inti dan kegiatan penutup. Penilaian yang dilakukan oleh guru mencakup penilaian kompetensi sikap dengan teknik observasi, penilaian kompetensi pengetahuan dengan teknik tes tulis dan tes lisan, dan penilaian kompetensi keterampilan dengan teknik tes praktik.Kata kunci: cerita pendek, menulis, pembelajaran.

Abstract

The problem of this research is how is the image Enong figures in the novel of Cinta dalam Gelas written by Andrea Hirata. The purpose of this research is to describe the image Enong figures in the novel and the worthiness as a material lesson of literature in SMA. This research used qualitative descriptive method. The data resources were taken from the novel Cinta dalam Gelas written by Andrea Hirata. It is found that the novel makes use of (1) image of a female figure Enong, (2) image Enong figure as a child, (3) Enong character image as a sister , (4) image Enong figure as friend, (5) image Enong figure as members of the community, and (6) image Enong figure as workers. Novel Cinta dalam Gelas is worthy to be used as a alternative learning material for students in SMA in terms of (1) aspect of language, (2) psychological aspect, and (3) aspect of cultural background.Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah citra tokoh Enong dalam novel Cinta dalam Gelas karya Andrea Hirata. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan citra tokoh Enong dalam novel dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan sastra di SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel Cinta dalam Gelas karya Andrea Hirata. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data ditemukan (1) citra tokoh Enong sebagai perempuan, (2) citra tokoh Enong sebagai anak, (3) citra tokoh Enong sebagai kakak (4) citra tokoh Enong sebagai sahabat, (5) citra tokoh Enong sebagai anggota masyarakat, dan (6) citra tokoh Enong sebagai pekerja. Novel tersebut layak dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar siswa di SMA ditinjau dari (1) aspek bahasa, (2) aspek psikologi dan (3) aspek latar belakang budaya.Kata kunci: bahan ajar, citra tokoh, novel.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the ability to find the main idea of the paragraph at grade X SMA Negeri 2 Pringsewu academic years 2013/2014. This research aimed to describe the ability to find the main idea of the paragraph at grade X SMA Negeri 2 Pringsewu academic years 2013/2014. The method of this research used descriptive. The population consists of 287 students spread into 9 classes. The sample are 45 students. Data collected is done through objective tests. The results showed that the ability to find the main idea of the paragraph is in category enough, with an average score of 56,2. Weakness of the students in finding the main idea of the paragraph is on aspect of finding the main idea at the end of paragraph which is in poor category, with an average of 41,8, while the highest average score is on the ability to find the main idea in the beginning paragraph with an average score of 69,2 category as good.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan menemukan ide pokok paragraf siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menemukan ide pokok paragraf siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Pringsewu tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini dengan jumlah 287 siswa yang tersebar dalam 9 kelas. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 45 siswa. Pengumpulan data melalui Tes Objektif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kemampuan menemukan ide pokok paragraf dalam kategori cukup dengan rata-rata 56.2. Kelemahan siswa dalam menemukan ide pokok paragraf terletak pada aspek menemukan ide pokok di akhir dan di akhir paragraf yang tergolong kurang dengan rata-rata 41,8, sedangkan skor rata-rata tertinggi terletak pada aspek kemampuan menemukan ide pokok di awal paragraf dengan rata-rata 69,2 tergolong baik.Kata kunci: ide pokok, kemampuan, menemukan.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the efectiveness of sentences in the trip report at the second grade students of MTs Hidayatul Muslihin Way Kanan on academic year 2011/2012. This research aimed to describe the effectiveness of sentences including integrity, alignment, explicity, and frugality in trip report of second grade students of MTs Hidayatul Muslihin Way Kanan on academic year 2011/2012.The method used is descriptive qualitative. The data source for this research is trip report of second grade students of MTs Hidayatul Muslihin Way Kanan on academic year 2011/2012 which consist of 30. From the data source, it has been settled that there are 515 sentences. Based on the result analysis, it was known that effective sentences are 345 sentences with percentage 66,99 , meanwhile ineffective sentences are 170 sentences with percentage 33,01. Ineffective sentences itself consist of unfrugality, unintegrity, unalignment.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah keefektifan kalimat dalam laporan perjalanan siswa kelas VIII MTs Hidayatul Muslihin Kabupaten Way Kanan tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan kalimat yang meliputi keutuhan, kesejajaran, ketegasan, dan kehematan dalam laporan perjalanan siswa kelas VIII MTs Hidayatul Muslihin Kabupaten Way Kanan tahun pelajaran 2011/2012. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah laporan perjalanan siswa kelas VIII MTs Hidayatul Muslihin kabupaten Way Kanan tahun pelajaran 2011/2012 berjumlah 30 laporan. Dari sumber data yang telah ditetapkan terdapat 515 kalimat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, diketahui keefektifan kalimat 345 kalimat dengan persentase 66,99, sedangkan ketidakefektifan kalimat 170 kalimat dengan persentase 33,01. Ketidakefektifan kalimat tersebut meliputi ketidakutuhan, ketidaksejajaran, ketidakhematan.Kata kunci: kalimat, keefektifan, laporan perjalanan.

Abstract

This study is about the character education values in the novel titled Haji Ngeteng and its appropriateness as teaching material. The method used in this is descriptive qualitative. This study showed that in Haji Ngeteng, there are seventy data character education values as follows: thirteen data for religiousness, one data for honest, three data for tolerance, five data for discipline, seven data for hard work, four data for creativity, three dara for independence, four data for democracy, eight data for curiousity, four data for nasionalism, two data for credits to achievements, three data on communication skill, one data for pacifism, three data for reading enthusiasm, one data for environmental awareness, six data for social awareness, and two data for responsibility. The novel Haji Ngeteng is proved to be an appropriate teaching material.Masalah yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Haji Ngeteng dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam novel Haji Ngeteng terdapat nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter. sebanyak tujuh puluh data yang meliputi: religius sebanyak tiga belas data, jujur sebanyak satu data, toleransi sebanyak tiga data, disiplin sebanyak lima data, kerja keras sebanyak tujuh data, kreatif sebanyak empat data, mandiri sebanyak tiga data, demokratis sebanyak empat data, rasa ingin tahu sebanyak delapan data, semangat kebangsaan sebanyak empat data, menghargai prestasi sebanyak dua data, bersahabat/komunikatif sebanyak tiga data, cinta damai sebanyak satu data, gemar membaca sebanyak tiga data, peduli lingkungan sebanyak satu data, peduli sosial sebanyak enam data, dan tanggung jawab sebanyak dua data. Novel Haji Ngeteng layak untuk dijadikan sebagai salah satu bahan ajar mata pelajaran.Kata kunci: karakter, nilai-nilai, pendidikan.

Abstract

The research problem is the values of character education short stories in Lampung Post first half of 2013 and its feasibility as teaching materials in high school literature. The study aimed to describe the value of character education short stories Lampung Post first half of 2013 and assess its feasibility as teaching materials in high school literature. Character education values contained in Lampung Post short stories first half of 2013 comes in a variety of ways. The values of twelve values scattered into fifteen short stories. There are visible through the words of the characters, the events in the story, there is implicitly present , and also through the actions of short stories. Value of character education short stories contained in Lampung Post in the first half of 2013 is suitable as alternative teaching materials used in high school literature.Masalah penelitian ini adalah nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter cerpen Lampung Post semester pertama tahun 2013 dan kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter cerpen Lampung Post semester pertama tahun 2013 dan menilai kelayakannya sebagai bahan ajar sastra di SMA. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat pada cerpen Lampung Post semester pertama tahun 2013 hadir dengan beragam cara. Nilai-nilai tersebut berjumlah dua belas nilai yang tersebar ke dalam lima belas cerpen. Ada yang tampak melalui perkataan tokoh, peristiwa dalam cerpen, ada yang hadir secara implisit, dan juga melalui perbuatan tokoh cerpen. Nilai pendidikan karakter yang terkandung dalam cerpen Lampung Post edisi semester pertama tahun 2013 layak dijadikan alternatif bahan ajar sastra di SMA.Kata kunci: cerpen, nilai, pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

The problems in this research are how the local colour in drama script "Aruk Gugat" by Iswadi Pratama and the elegibility as a literature teaching material in senior high school. This research aims to describe of local colour in drama script "Aruk Gugat" by Iswadi Pratama and to determine the elegibility as an Indonesian literature teaching material in senior high school. Research method that used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The technique of collecting and data analysis in this research are technique data analysis.The results of this research describe eight Lampung local colour aspect in the drama script, namely language usage (word and expression), mores, behaviour, way of thinking, people artistry, environment, house architecture, and living and equipments live. The local colour aspect run better through by interaction of all figure. By eight local colour aspect in the script, can be seen the description of attitude to life of society which mirror in Piil Pesenggiri. The life philosophy reflection can be seen in behaviour and way of thinking of all figure in drama script. Drama script "Aruk Gugat" by Iswadi Pratama included in drama of realist comedy because in it serves the humorous conduct of all figures that depicted in behaviour, way of thinking, and Ianguage style of all figures.Based on the observation from curriculum, art aspect, and assess the liberal education and character, drama script "Aruk Gugat" by Iswadi Pratama competent to be an Indonesian literature teaching material in senior high school. Keywords: drama script, elegibility, literature teaching material

Abstract

The problem of this study is how the protagonist’s religious behavior in the novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang and its worthiness as a teaching material of literature in Senior High School are. This study aims to describe the protagonist’s religious behavior in the novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang and to determine its worthiness as a teaching material of Indonesian literature in Senior High School. The method of this study is descriptive qualitative method. The source of data in this study is the novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang. The result of the study shows that religious behavior of the protagonist in this novel, Hardi, covers five dimensions: ideology, worship, intellectual, physical, and experience. In the ideology dimension, the Hardi’s character has strong belief in Allah, His prophets, His Alquran, and His kodrat and iradat, and His Islamic doctrines. In the worship dimension, the religious behavior of Hardi’s character is realized in his behavior which is doing prayers, liking zikir (a kind of chant), and praying. In the intellectual dimension, the Hardi’s character has knowledge and comprehension about his religious tenets. In addition, in the phisycal dimension, his religious behavior is realized in his behavior which is polite and respectful to adults, modest, helpful, caring about, generous, gentle, thankful, full of affection, independent, just, never giving up, liking to associate, wise, responsible, humble (qonaah), honest, keeping promises, obedient, and sincere. And finally, the religious behavior of Hardi’s character in the experience dimension is realized in the religious experience which he has and feels. The novel Dzikir Ilalang (Kun Fayakun) by Andi Bombang is worthy to be teaching material alternative of Indonesian literature in Senior High School. This is based on the criteria of the literature teaching material selection which is considered from the aspects of literature and of character education. Seeing from character education, Hardi’s religious behaviour can be a material for characters education. One of his religious behaviour that can be material for education character is his polite and respect attitude to his parents.  Key words: religious behavior, intellectual, worship

Abstract

This research is aimed at describing local color in Perempuan di Rumah Panggung, a short story anthology written by Isbedy Stiawan ZS and determining its implication towards literature teaching at Junior High Schools (SMP). The method that is used in this resarch is qualitative descriptive. The data analysis in this study is text analysis technique. The result of this research shows that (1) the word meaning that are found in the study are lexical, grammatical, idiomatic, narrow, and wide meaning, (2) the word classes that are found in the study are noun, verb, adjective and adverb, (3) the language function that are found in the study are strenghtening the character socially, strenghtening social background, and strenghtening the setting, (4) short story entitled Perempuan di Rumah Panggung is suitable to be a media in literature teaching at middle school.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan warna lokal dalam kumpulan cerpen Perempuan di Rumah Panggung karya Isbedy Stiawan ZS dan menentukan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah teknis analisis teks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Makna kata yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yakni makna leksikal, makna gramatikal, makna idiomatik, makna sempit, dan makna luas, (2) Kelas kata yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yakni kata benda, kata kerja, kata sifat, dan kata keterangan, (3) Fungsi bahasa yang ditemukan dalam penelitian, yakni fungsi memperkuat tokoh secara sosial, fungsi memperkuat latar sosial, dan fungsi memperkuat latar tempat, (4) Kumpulan cerpen Perempuan di Rumah Panggung layak untuk dijadikan media pembelajaran sastra di SMP.Kata kunci: cerpen, implikasi, warna lokal.

Abstract

The research problem here is what are the main messages in the six novels of Habiburrahman El-Shirazy and how he present them. Hence, the aim of the research is to describe those messages and the technique used to present them, as well as their approprinteness to be used as teaching material. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. The research result shows that messages in all Habiburrahman El-Shirazy’s novels are served by using implicit technique. All messages in novels by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy tell the issue about love and romance. The messages in Habiburrahman El-Shirazy’s novels are having good expediencies as the alternative teaching material of Indonesian literature in SMA because it fulfills the criteria for selecting literature learning material based on Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP), character education, literature function (dulce et utile), language, psychology, and culture background aspects.Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana amanat utama dan teknik penyajian amanat yang terdapat dalam novel-novel karya Habibburahman El-Shirazy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui amanat utama dan teknik penyajian amanat dalam novel-novel Habibburahman El-Shirazy dan menilai kelayakannya sebagai alternatif bahan ajar sastra di Indonesia di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa amanat dalam semua novel karya Habibburahman El-Shirazy disajikan dengan menggunakan teknik tidak langsung (implisit). Semua amanat dalam novel-novel karya Habibburahman El-Shirazy bergerak seputar cinta dan asmara. Amanat yang terkandung dalam novel-novel karya Habiburrahman El-Shirazy layak dijadikan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar sastra Indonesia di SMA ditinjau dari aspek KTSP, pendidikan karakter, fungsi sastra; dulce et utile, aspek bahasa, psikologi, dan latar belakang budaya.Kata kunci: amanat, novel-novel, pembelajaran sastra.
