Abstract

This experimental research aimed to find out the influence of problem posing towards student's mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all grade eight students of Junior High School state of 22 Pesawaran in academic year of 2017/2018 which were distributed into seven classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII D and VIII E class which were chosen by purposive sampling. The design of this research was pretest-posttest control group design. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical communication skill. The data analysis of this research used Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the research, it was concluded that problem posing influenced student's mathematical communication skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran problem posing terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 22 Pesawaran tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang terdistribusi dalam tujuh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII D dan VIII E yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem posing berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: komunikasi matematis, problem posing

Abstract

This research aimed to develop students worksheet on learning mathematics of building a flat side space with GeoGebra assisted to facilitate valid, practical, and effective Visual Thinking capabilities. This type of research is development research conducted through preliminary research stage, prototyping stage, and assessment phase. The results showed that LKPD and GeoGebra supported mathematics learning media developed were in valid category. Based on the results of experiments conducted, it is found that learning tools have fulfilled the aspect of practicality. This can be seen from: 1) the implementation of learning in the limited trial is classified as practical and the implementation of learning in small group categorical testing is very practical; 2) the use of LKPD in learning mathematics developed in terms of learners' responses pertained practical. The developed LKPD has also fulfilled the effectiveness aspects seen from the Visual Thinking ability test of learners.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD dalam pembelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang sisi datar dengan berbantuan GeoGebra yang valid dan praktis, serta menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan Visual Thinking. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu preliminary research, prototyping stage, dan assessment phase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dikembangkan berada pada kategori valid. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, LKPD telah memenuhi aspek kepraktisan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari: 1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada uji coba terbatas tergolong praktis serta keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada uji coba kelompok kecil terkategori sangat praktis; 2) penggunaan LKPD dalam pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari respon peserta didik tergolong praktis. LKPD yang dikembangkan juga telah memenuhi aspek keefektivan yang dilihat dari tes kemampuan Visual Thinking peserta didik.Kata kunci : GeoGebra, visual thinking, LKPD.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze student worksheet development based on Problem Based Learning model in topic of Probability for Senior High School students of grade X. The instruments which were used in this research were the validation sheet of student worksheet for math lecturer and teacher in order to fulfill the validity aspect, the student scoring sheet in order to fulfill the applicability aspect, and critical mathematic thinking ability test in order to fulfill the effectiveness aspect. The result of the research showed that the student worksheet which was based on Problem Based Learning model had fulfilled the requirements and appropriateness standard based on content, design, and language expert. The data analysis of t-test towards of critical thinking ability showed that the critical thinking ability of students with Problem Based Learning model worksheet was higher than the critical thinking ability of students without Problem Based Learning model worksheet.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan model Problem Based Learning pada materi Peluang untuk SMA kelas X. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi LKPD untuk ahli dan guru matematika untuk aspek kevalidan, lembar penilaian peserta didik untuk aspek keterbacaan, serta soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk aspek keefektivan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning telah memenuhi syarat dan standar kelayakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, desain, dan bahasa. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji t terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang menggunakan LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang tidak menggunakan LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, peluang, problem based learning

Abstract

This research aimed to know the increasing of student?s mathematical communication skill and self-concept which was taught by problem based learning as compared to the conventional learning. The design of this research was pretest posttest control group design. The population was all students of grade 8thof regular class of SMPN 4 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 that were distributed into eight classes. The samples were students of VIIIE and VIIIG class who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical communication skill and self-concept scale. The conclusion of this research was the problem based learning could increase the student?s mathematical communication skill, but not increase the student?s self-concept.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-concept siswa yang mengikuti PBM dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII reguler SMPN 4 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIE dan VIIIG yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan skala self-concept. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah PBM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan self-concept siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran berbasis masalah,  self-concept

Abstract

The samples of this research were students of VIII 10 and VIII 11 class that were chosen by purposive random sampling. This research used pretest-posttest control group design. Based on the result of research and discussion, it was concluded that the problem based learning model influences towards students mathematical communication skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 14 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 sebanyak 422 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam tiga belas kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII 10 dan VIII 11 yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretestposttest control group design. Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model Viewed from the Students' Understanding of Mathematical Concepts. This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning  model in terms of students' understanding in mathematical concepts. The population of this research was the students of X IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya in the second semester in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 125 students and distributed into four classes. The research sample were all students of class X IPA 1 and X IPA 2 who were selected through purposive sampling. The design was used in this research was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis of the research showed that the increasing of students? understanding of mathematical concepts who took Creative Problem Solving (CPS) was higher than increasing of student? understanding of mathematical concepts who took conventional learning. The conclution of this study was the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model was effective in terms of students? understanding in mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This quasi experimental research aimed to know the effectiveness of problem based learning viewed by students mathematical representation and self confidence skill. The population of this research was all students of eighth grade in Junior High School 25 Bandarlampung in the academic year of 2016/ 2017 that were distributed into nine classes and samples of this research were students of VIII-H and VIII-I class that were taken by cluster random sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest control design. The research data was obtained from essay mathematical representation skill test and self confidence quistionnaire. The data analysis which was used was t?- test and proportion test. Based on the result and discussion of this research, it was concluded that problem based learning model was effective viewed by students mathematical representation and self confidence skill. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 25 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-H dan VIII-I yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kemampuan representasi matematis berbentuk essay dan skala self confidence. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t?dan uji proporsi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence siswa. Kata kunci:  pembelajaran berbasis masalah, representasi matematis, self    conf dence

Abstract

Abstract: The Effectiveness of Learning Two Stay Two Stray In Terms of Students' Understanding of Mathematical Concepts. This quasi-experimental study aimed to examine the effectiveness of cooperative learning models of two stay two stray type in terms of students? understanding of mathematical concepts. The population of this study were all grade eight students of SMP Negeri 1 Pringsewu in even semester academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 151 students who were distributed into five classes. The research samples were students of VIII.4 as many as 32 students and VIII.5 as many as 29 students class which were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The design used was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research data was collected by using essay test on the circle and obtained test data for students? understanding of mathematical concepts. The data analysis was carried out by using the -test and proportion test. The results of this study showed that the cooperative learning model two stay two stray type was not effective in terms of students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Keywords: cooperative, effectiveness, two stay two stray, understanding of mathematical concepts

Abstract

This quasi-experimental research aimed to know whether the cooperative learning model of numbered heads together type could increase the student?s mathematical conceptual understanding. The design of this research was pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th in even semester of SMPN 2 Trimurjo in academic year of 2013/2014 and the research samples were students of VII-A and VII-B class who were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical conceptual understanding. The conclusion of this research was cooperative learning model of numbered heads together type could increase students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Popu­lasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII semester genap SMP Negeri 2 Trimurjo tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII-A dan VII-B yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: pemahaman konsep matematis, pembelajaran konvensional, pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT
