Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to describe the transition of cultural value of Jonggan arts on Dayak Kanayatn?s community (A study at Dusun Moro Betung, Kabupaten Landak). This research was descriptive with ethnography-qualitative. Techniques of data collection were observation, interview, and documentation. Instruments of data collection were in forms of guided observation, guided interview, and documents. Supplementary intruments were in the forms of two smartphones which functioned as voice recorder and audio-visual recorder. Testing data validity was conducted by applying triangulation technique. The results showed that the transition of Jonggan arts cultural value was caused by internal and external factors. Internal factor was affected by the role of studio leader, Jonggan member, the community, and local government. The transitions of cultural value happening comprised; (1) free dance, (2) duration of Jonggan Arts performance, (3) dancer?s costume, (4) dancer?s cosmetics, (5) dancer?s property, and (6) ticket existence. External factors were affected by; (1) the incoming culture of gambling, (2) music player, (3) trending musics, and (4) soundsystem. Keywords: Transition of Cultural Value, Jonggan Arts, Dayak Kanayatn

Abstract

AbstractThe title of this thesis is Analysis of Educational Interaction between Teachers and Students in Integrated Social Studies Learning Process in Class VIII D of 18 Siantan Middle School in North Pontianak District. The problem in this study is how the interaction of education between teachers and students of class VIII D in the process of integrated social studies learning at 18 Siantan Junior High School. The results of this study indicate that: 1) educational contacts conducted in the learning process that is the teacher when opening learning activities always give greetings and introductory lessons. But in the implementation of learning the teacher sometimes never gives a smile, looking at students attentively when students do good actions when learning takes place; 2) educational communication in the learning process has not gone well, it can be seen from the teacher in conveying information, explaining, giving motivation and proposing personal opinions that have not been maximally implemented; 3) the normative element of education carried out in the learning process, namely conducting group discussions conducted by the teacher has not been carried out as expected, such as concentration, giving an explanation of various problems in the learning process; 4) i the technical process of education carried out in the learning process is to carry out closing activities carried out by the teacher not yet fully done when the activity is closed such as summarizing / summarizing the core subject matter that has been delivered. Keyword : Interaction, Education, Teachers and Students

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the role of teachers to grow students' motivation in learning history in SMAN 1 Sungai Ambawang Kubu Raya.The teacher has an important role in the learning process.The motivation needs to be given by the teacher so that students can be enthusiastic in participating in learning in accordance with the learning objectives to be achieved.The research method used was qualitative with a descriptive form.The data sources in this study were informants from representatives of class X science and social studies students as well as history subject teachers.The data were the results of observations and the results of interviews and documentation.While checking the data was done by triangulation of data that was comparing the results of interviews with observation and documentation.The results showed that the role of the teacher fosters student motivation quite well in the lack of student interest in history subjects in  SMAN 1Sungai Ambawang because the teacher's efforts to foster student learning motivation include explaining learning goals, giving praise, making gifts, giving penalties, using method, and give enthusiasm.As well as the inhibiting factors faced in increasing student learning motivation, namely lack of time allocation, lack of student learning motivation, different abilities, learning media that are not optimal, and family environment. Keywords:  Motivation, SMAN 1 Sungai Ambawang, Students,Teachers

Abstract

AbstractThis study is entitled The Effectiveness of the Use of STAD in Cooperative Learning in Shaping Students' Tolerance Character in PPKn Subject Class XI IPS SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of STAD in shaping students' tolerance character. This study used Experimental study with quantitative research. The independent variable was the study of STAD. The dependent variable was the effectiveness of students' tolerance character. The participants were the students of XI IPS 2 SMA 7 Pontianak. The data collection technique used observation. The analysis included the normality test, t-test, the significance level of 5%, effect size, the calculation process using the SPSS version 16.0 program. The results showed that before applying the STAD, there was an average value of the tolerance character of students 4.64. After being treated with the STAD, there was an average tolerance character of students 6.12. There was an effective use of STAD in cooperative learning in shaping students' tolerance character in PPKn subject for XI IPS 2 SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. With a significance level of 0,000 or 0,000 <0.05, Ho was rejected. Thus, the tolerance character of students in SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak had 6 of 7 tolerance characters.Keywords: Character Tolerance, Effectiveness, PPKN, STAD Type Cooperative Learning.

Abstract

Abstract In learning, one of the various problems encountered by students is the lack of understanding of the material delivered by the teacher, resulting in the low results of learning outcomes. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of the point-counter-point learning model towards the students learning outcomes. The applied model is used to facilitate students in learning. This study used a quantitative method in the form of experimental research. The techniques used in this study were measurement, direct observation, and documentation techniques. The average scores of learning outcomes obtained by the experimental and control group are respectively 79.5, and 66.73, with the standard deviation of the control group by 7.77. Based on the criteria, the effect size obtained by 1.64 was categorized as high. Therefore, the applied learning model is adequate for use as the learning model towards the class XI IPS students of MA Darul-Khairat Pontianak, categorized as high by 1.47. Abstract

AbstractThis study aim to find out the evidences of the Keraton Kusuma Negara that could be used as a learning medium and also to find out how to use it and the obstacles in utilizing the Keraton Kusuma as a medium of historical learning at SMA Negeri 1 Sekadau. Researcher using descriptive methods using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study was 8 people with 1 person in charge of Keraton Kusuma Negara, 1 history teacher, and 6 students of class XI IPS.Techniques used in data collection include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that there are 3 relics that can be used as a medium of learning history, then teachers using Keraton Kusuma Negara by presenting photos to students when learning materials take place so that they can understand the history of Keraton Kusuma Negara. The obstaclesarise when technical problems such as power failure and lack of projectors as well as very limited resource constraints when the teacher present them in class, where the teacher anticipating technical problem by printing the photo and showing it to the class, then anticipating limited resource constraint by searching for related literature.Keywords: Historical Learning, Historical Learning Media, Keraton Kusuma Negara

Abstract

AbstractThe research was titled "Opium Influence on socio-cultural aspects and ethnic Chinese economy in Sambas year 1909-1942". A common problem in this research is how opium influences the ethnic Chinese in Sambas in 1909-1942. The purpose of this research is to describe the opium influence of ethnic Chinese in Sambas in 1909-1942 in socio-cultural and economic aspects. The study uses historiography methods, namely Heutistics, source criticism, verification, and historiography. The approach used in the study was sociology, economics and politics. The results of this study showed that: (1) The opium trade was not separated from the coming of the Chinese to Sambas, the opening of the gold mine at Monterado and the trade route between West Borneo and Singapore; (2) Opium trade managed by the local government as well as during the Dutch East Indies, influenced the socio-cultural life of Chinese society, especially the disputes between Chinese society and Sultan Sambas and government Dutch Colonial Indies; (3) The government-run opium management system through the Regie system gives a large income to fill the colonial treasury. The Chinese smugglers also benefit from opium trading as there is no need to pay high taxes to the colonial government. However, the majority of Chinese consumers have a health loss that will also affect their economy.Keywords: Opium influence, ethnic Chinese, Sambas

AbstractThis research entitled ?The History of the development of Muhammadiyah in Pontianak from 1990-2000?. The formulation of the problem in this study were: (1)how the background of the establishment of the Muhammadiyah organization in Pontianak, (2) how was the historical development of the Muhammadiyah organization in Pontianak from 1991-2000, (3) how was the role of Muhammadiyah leaders in Pontianak. The research method used in this study was the historicalmethod (historical methodology). The procedures that used in historical method that consist of topic selection, heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. From this study it was concluded that the establishment of Muhammadiyah in Pontianak City was marked by a visit sent by the PP Muhammadiyah Assembly Tabligh Yogyakarta namely UstadzChatibSyatibi at the end of 1932.The background of the founding of Muhammadiyah in Pontianak is to improve the teachings that are already unreasonable, meaning the teachings that do not enter alak are like superstition too trusting dukuns or inanimate objects. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research to determine the perception of the people who visit Kadriah Palace in East Pontianak as the objects of cultural heritage. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data sources of this study was the manager of the Kadriah Sultanate Palace and community representatives who had visited. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. Results: (1) public perception about Kadriah Sultanate Palace positively, visitors argue that the palace still needs to be improved so that it remains a historical attraction that visitors can enjoy at any time. (2) preservation by the manager is already good in collaboration with the government, but it must be improved so that the Kadriah Sultanate Palace becomes a better historical attraction and well maintainece so that visitors feel comfortable when visit. (3) people's perception when visiting is to respond positively, their suggestions and hopes that the preservation of the Kadriah Sultanate Palace can be improved and when they visit, they get historical information well, but it is worth noting some deficiencies such as the addition of information boards, signs and additional guidelines so that all visitors become clearer in getting historical information.Keywords: Public perception,Cultural Heritage, Kadriah Sultanate Palace

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the existence art of kuda lumping Siswo Budoyo in Dusun Serasau Jaya Village Peniti District Sekadau. Mutual awereness in preserving art and culture is an important so that the objectives can be achieved in this art animating process. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive form. The data is observation and results of interviews and documentation. While data inspection is done by data triangulation comparing the results of interviews with observation and documentation. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers it can be concluded that the existence art of  kuda lumping can survive until now done with various efforts such as increasing the quantity of training time, renewing structures management, clarify budget cash holdings, recruit children as members to continue regeneration and multiply the show?s schedule. Siswo Budoyo?s development of art is evidenced by the opening of the caretaker when collaborating on performences so that the kuda lumping art can be enjoyed by anyone. Keywords: Art, Existence, Kuda Lumping Siswo Budoyo
