Abstract

Additive Main Effects Multiplicative Interaction (AMMI) is a widely known analysis used in understanding genotype and environment interaction (GEI) in plant breeding research. The interpretation of AMMI based on biplot visualizes the first two component of principle components analysis. Biplot of AMMI is only an exploration analysis and it does not provide the hypothesis testing, so it can conduct  different  interpretation by plant breeding researchers. The aim of this research is to find a systematic approach through bootstrap resampling method. Bootstrap resampling method in AMMI model produces confidence region of the first two interaction principle component ( and ) for genotype and environment respectively. Bootstrap confidence region of  and  estimated the stability of genotype, thus making AMMI analysis more precise and realiable for characterization and selection of  genetic  environment.

Abstract

Pada percobaan faktorial tiga taraf, perlakuan yang dihasilkan cukup besar bahkan untuk jumlah faktor yang sedikit. Besarnya perlakuan yang dihasilkan ini terkadang menyulitkan peneliti untuk memperoleh blok lengkap yang homogen. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini adalah mengkaji sistem pembauran pada percobaan faktorial tiga taraf. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dan teladan penerapan. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan blok tak lengkap mengakibatkan tercampurnya beberapa pengaruh perlakuan dengan pengaruh blok. Hal inilah yang disebut sebagai Sistem Pembauran (System of Confounding). Penempatan perlakuaan ke dalam blok-blok tak lengkap dilakukan berdasarkan pengaruh utama faktor atau interaksi yang terbaur dengan pengaruh blok.

Abstract

SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu city is one of the active participants in the competition OSN SMA/MA in Bengkulu. But the school's achievements have not been prominent, especially in the field of Mathematics. In the period of last 10 years, SMAN 3 Bengkulu have never gotten quite encouraging achievement in Maths OSN. Department of Mathematics, University of Bengkulu has the human resources pretty promising, that competent teaching staff to improve the ability of reasoning and analysis of students SMA Negeri 3 Bengkulu City through guidance materials OSN Mathematics SMA/MA. Therefore, it will be held activities in the promotion of students regarding the material OSN Mathematics SMA/MA to improve the ability of reasoning and analysis of students so that they know how concepts and strategies work on the problems OSN Mathematics SMA/MA with reasoning and analysis are correct, so as to achievement on activities OSN Mathematics both at the provincial and national levels. After coaching is done, using paired t-test analysis can be concluded that these activities have a significant influence. Development activities that have been implemented can increase the ability of reasoning and analysis of the students as well as students of SMAN 3 of Bengkulu in adding knowledge on mathematics material and questions in SMA/MA OSN. Keywords: OSN Mathematics, SMAN 3 Bengkulu, Paired t-test

Abstract

Community service activity aims to introduce and teach counting method of finger (jarimatika) as an alternative method of counting to complete the multiplication operation on the fourth grade students at SD Negeri 79 Kota Bengkulu. Counting method can be used to improve student learning outcomes in completing multiplication operations. This method can provide visualization of counting process, cheer up the child, not burdening the memory of the brain, and the tool is always taken. In addition, this method will make learning activities more fun so that the students become eager in learning. Based on the results of the dedication activities undertaken, it can be concluded that this activity is able to provide knowledge and skills to students of Class IV SDN 79 Kota Bengkulu about jarimatika method. Almost all students are very enthusiastic and interested in following this guidance activity although this jarimatika method is relatively new to them. In addition, this activity can improve students learning motivation and improve students? numeracy skills especially in multiplication operations. Keywords: Counting, Jarimatika, Mathematics

Abstract

ABSTRACTBengkulu is an active participant in the National Science Olympic competition in junior level. But the achievement of Bengkulu?s students is not prominent, especially in the fieldof Mathematics. Until now Bengkulu has never been quite encouraging achievement in theOSN. Department of Mathematics University of Bengkulu has a human resource that ispromising, the competent faculty who can nurture, guide, and prepare students of SMPNegeri 2 Bengkulu to compete in the OSN. Therefore, students of SMP 2 Bengkulu will becoached to understand, analyze and answer the questions, so that they know the mathOlympic the strategy and the ways that fast in answering the Olympics questions correctly,so they will be a champion at the provincial and national competition. Abstract

Bengkulu Province, Indonesia, which lies in two active faults, Semangko fault and Mentawai fault, is an area that has high seismic activity. As earthquake-prone area, the characteristic of each earthquake in Bengkulu Province needs to be studied. This paper presents the earthquake epicenter clustering in Bengkulu Province. Tectonic earthquake data at Bengkulu Province and surrounding areas from January 1970 to December 2015 are used. The data is taken from single-station Agency Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) Kepahiang Bengkulu. K-Means clustering using Euclidean distance method is used in this analysis. The variables are latitude, longitude and magnitude. The optimum number of cluster is determined using Krzanowski and Lai (KL) index which is 7. The analysis for each clustering experiment with variation number of cluster is presented.

Abstract

Jurusan Matematika FMIPA Universitas Bengkulu telah memiliki banyak alumni yang bekerja baik itu di instansi milik negara ataupun milik swasta.Penilaian untuk mendapatkan hasil evaluasi lulusan oleh pihak pengguna lulusan selalu dilakukan, salah satunya melalui tracer study alumni. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui bagaimanakah kepuasan pengguna alumni beserta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Untuk tujuan ini disebar kuisioner kepada para pengguna alumni Jurusan Matematika FMIPA, dan data yang diperoleh dimodelkan menggunakan analisis model persamaan struktural. Hasilnya terdapat beberapa faktor yang memang memiliki pengaruh positif terhadap kepuasan pengguna alumni Jurusan Matematika, yaitu kepemimpinan, group skills, logic, dan effort.Kata Kunci: model persamaan struktural, kepuasan pengguna alumni
