Abstract

This research was aimed to study the effect of electrical stimulation period on physical and organoleptic properties of Muscovy duck meat. This research used 20 female Muscovy ducks, 1.5-2 years of age. The ducks were divided into 5 groups treatments for 4 replications. The treatments were period of electrical stimulation: 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes. The result showed that period of electrical stimulation did not affect (P>0.05) cooking loss but significantly affected (P<0.05) the tenderness, color, flavour, aroma, pH, and juiciness of duck meat. The best treatment was 20 minutes stimulation.

Abstract

Financial performance of companies in investment center can be done by two methods: ROI with du Pont system approach and RI. ROI has a weakness, that doesn’t count cost of capital, so that high ROI isn’t sufficiently effective before compared with cost of capital, weakness of ROI can be covered by RI.  Use of two methods expected complementary, so that better results obtained. ROI that has been analyzed time series experienced volatile and decreased, ROI decline caused by use of assets that aren’t effective, increase in cost of goods sold and expenses of company. Conditions such as these companies still lack effective and efficient in generating return on assets of company, highest ROI’s owned by PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. for three years at 39.74%, 40.4%, 40.02%, while cross sectional approach shows that average ROI of industry can be said to still unfavorable, value of ROI is above industry average is PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. RI which have been analyzed to show positive results and negative. Achievement of positive RI indicates company is not burdened with high cost of capital and vice versa, so that company can restore investors expected returns. Companies have highest RI value is PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. Keywords: Return On Investment (ROI), Residual Income (RI), Financial performance of companies Abstrak Penilaian kinerja keuangan perusahaan dalam pusat investasi dapat dilakukan dengan dua metode yaitu Return On Investment (ROI) dengan pendekatan du pont system dan Residual Income (RI). Return On Investment (ROI) memiliki kelemahan, yaitu tidak menghitung biaya modal, sehingga ROI yang tinggi belum efektif sebelum dibandingkan dengan biaya modal, kelemahan ROI dapat ditutupi dengan analisis Residual Income (RI). Return On Investment (ROI) yang telah dianalisis secara time series mengalami fluktuatif dan penurunan, penurunan Return On Investment disebabkan oleh penggunaan aset yang tidak efektif, kenaikan beban pokok penjualan dan beban perusahaan. Kondisi seperti ini perusahaan masih kurang efektif dan efisien dalam menghasilkan laba atas aset yang dimiliki perusahaan, ROI tertinggi dimiliki oleh PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. selama tiga tahun sebesar 39,74%, 40,4%, dan 40,02%, sedangkan secara cross sectional approach menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata ROI industri yang dihasilkan  bisa dikatakan masih kurang baik, nilai ROI  yang berada di atas rata-rata industri adalah PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. Resdiual Income (RI) yang telah dianalisis menunjukkan hasil yang positif dan negatif. Pencapaian RI yang positif menunjukkan perusahaan tidak terbebani biaya modal yang tinggi begitu sebaliknya, sehingga perusahaan dapat mengembalikan tingkat pengembalian yang diharapkan investor. Perusahaan yang memiliki nilai RI tertinggi adalah PT. Unilever Indonesia, Tbk. Kata Kunci: Return On Investment (ROI), Residual Income (RI), Kinerja Keuangan Perusahaan.

Abstract

Pressure from modern environment that many can lead to mental disorder. The mental disorders exist because it exceeds the individual psychological endurance. One healing efforts undertaken by the Mental Hospital is making the garden is good to motivate patients. However, in general the design of the garden is still monotonous and can only be enjoyed visually. Should the patient require the involvement of the experience of space, so it is necessary to reorder function better room like gardening area or play area. The purpose of this research is to create a healing garden design that can treat patients with mental disorders in the area of drug. The case study is applied to the area of drugs at the Mental Hospital Dr. Radjiman Wediodiningrat Lawang. This is because garden have not potentially on healing in people with mental disorders by drugs. The research method is qualitative with a three-pronged approach, namely the science of architecture, agriculture, and health sciences. Architectural approaches that achieved with the design process begins with reviewing social issues, led to the idea-concept to realize the plans to get the site plan. Agricultural science approach to the choice of plants and processing, and health sciences approach to evaluate the existing design to patient involvement. Targets are resolved in this study is to examine the problems in the garden psychiatric hospital by producing a draft in the form of working drawings garden. The conclusion of this study is the concept of eco-friendly garden design according to user needs a mental hospital with the concept of healing gardens or garden or healing garden therapies that can improve the patient's recovery

Abstract

Sambas Kecil River area in Sambas City is a center of city growth, business, fishery, agriculture, and circulation of the society. The High intensity of utilization and the rapid development in the city, created degradation of the quality of the river and decreased the urban view, human health, transportation, social culture, economic, and recreation activity.This study aims to characterize the utilization and landscape plan based on benefit value for sustainability of Sambas River areas. The method that used was descriptive both qualitative and quantitative. Planning was used process and stages by Gold (1980). The result of analysis showed that the Sambas Kecil River area divided by three ecological sensitivities i.e. low (12.6 km), moderate (17.8 km), and high (12.6 km). The high sensitivity dominated by forest, the moderate dominated by agriculture and settlement, and the low dominated by settlement. Variety of activities are divided into three aspects i.e. social aspect, cultural aspect, and economic aspect. This planning based on benefit value of ecological and sustainability for Sambas Kecil River area and able to restore and maintain the natural character of the river. The result of integration of the river character and utilization created three plan models i.e. natural, semi-natural, and built areas of the development river landscape plan. This plan is expected to restore the value of the benefits of the river through the area management by local communities so they can feel directly the benefits from the existence of the river, and they will able to preserve the river sustainably.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jamu ternakterhadap penampilan produksi ayam kampung.Bahan yang digunakan adalah ayam kampung sebanyak 48 ekor yang dibagi ke dalam 12 petak kandang,terdiri atas 4 perlakuan A0 yaitu Air minum tanpa jamu ternak,A1 yaitu air minum dengan jamu ternak1% perliter air ,A2 yaitu air minum dengan jamu ternak 2% perliter air dan A3 yaitu air minum dengan jamu ternak 3% perliter air dengan 3 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jamu ternak melalui air minum berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap  konsumsi air minum, konsumsi pakan, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi pakan.Kata kunci : Jamu ternak, Penampilan produksi, Ayam kampung.

Abstract

Penelitian tentang bobot potong, karkas, giblet dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler yang diberi temulawak (Curcuma xanthorrhiza Roxb) dalam pakan menggunakan 80 ekor ayam broiler yang dipelihara selama 5 (lima) minggu menggunakan strain CP 707 dengan pakan komersial BP-11 dan temulawak. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan: P0 (BP-11 tanpa temulawak), P1 (BP-11 + temulawak 1%), P2 (BP-11 + temulawak 2%), P3 (BP-11 + temulawak 3%) dengan 4 ulangan. Variabel yang diteliti adalah bobot potong, persentase karkas, giblet dan lemak abdominal ayam broiler. Hasil penelitian menumjukkan bahwa pemberian tepung temulawak dalam pakan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap bobot potong dan persentase lemak abdominal, namun tidak menunjukkan pengaruh nyata terhadap persentase karkas dan persentase giblet. Kata Kunci : Ayam broiler, Temulawak, Bobot potong, Karkas, Giblet dan Lemak abdominal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan formulasi ransum yang sesuai untuk pertumbuhan ayam tolaki umur 12-18 minggu. Penelitian ini menggunakan 24 ekor ayam tolaki yang dibagi ke dalam 12 petak kandang. Penelitian ini terdiri atas 3 perlakuan (A1 = BP-11 45%, jagung 45% dan dedak padi 10% atau protein 19%, A2 = BP-11 37%, jagung 53% dan dedak padi 10% atau protein 17%, A3 = BP-11 30%, jagung 60% dan dedak padi 10% atau protein 15%) dan 4 ulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis ragam Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian berbagai jenis formulasi ransum berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian berbagai jenis formulasi ransum A1 (BP-11 45%, jagung 45% dan dedak padi 10% atau protein 19%), A2 (BP-11 37%, jagung 53% dan dedak padi 10% atau protein 17% ) dan A3 (BP-11 30%, jagung 60% dan dedak padi 10% atau protein 15%) pada ayam tolaki umur 12-18 minggu menunjukkan pengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan dan konversi ransum.Kata kunci : Formulasi ransum, Penampilan, Ayam Tolaki.

Abstract

The experiment determined the effect of the mixture of sago and tofu by-products fermented with Neurospora crassa on broiler performances. One hundred of broiler chicken were randomly divided into four groups of dietary treatments and five replications (5 birds each). The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design according to dietary treatment tested, namely, none or 0% (RA), 7% (RB), 14% (RC) and 21% (RD) fermented sago and tofu by-products mixture. Experimental diets were formulated iso-protein (22%) and iso-energy (3000 kcal/kg). Variables measured were performances, carcass quality (meat cholesterol) of broiler and income over feed chick cost (IOFCC). Results of the experiment indicated that feed consumption, body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, nitrogen retention and carcass percentage were not affected by feeding fermented sago and tofu by-products mixture. Meat cholesterol indicated the lowest but IOFCC indicated the highest of RD group treatment mixture as compared to other treatment groups. It is concluded that feeding ration containing 21% fermented sago and tofu by-products maintains broiler performance similarly to that of control group, reduce meat cholesterol by 27% and increase IOFCC by 35.41%. Abstract

An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of feeding tapioca by-products fermented by Neurospora crassa on layer performances and egg quality. Two hundred layers were randomly allocated into 20 pens. This experiment was arranged in a completely randomized design with four dietary treatments: 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% tapioca by product fermented by N. crassa in the diets and five replications. Variable measured were feed comsumption, egg production, feed conversion, egg cholesterol and egg yolk colour. Results of the experiment indicated that feed comsumption, egg production, feed conversion, egg cholesterol and egg yolk colour were affected (P < 0.05) by using fermented tapioca by-product in the diets of layers. Results of Duncan multiple range test indicated that feed consumption, egg production, and egg yolk colour in D treatment (used 30% tapioca by-products fermented) were the highest compared to those other treatments, but the lowest on feed conversion and egg cholesterol. The conclusion of the experiment that tapioca by-products fermented by N. crassa can be used up to 30% in the diet of layer.
