Abstract

This study analyzes various regulations on urban waste management, with emphasis in recycling activities. How regulatory frameworks from the national level translates to the city level, and the extent of its implementation are examined through field observations in the city of Semarang as a case study. Based on the study of regulations and policy documents, this study suggests that recycling is found in various policy domains, not only those concerning waste management but also in the environment, industry, company?s limited liability and infrastructure domains. This study highlights two main problems in recycling namely: policy idealism and approach dualism. From these two basic problems, this study recommends a strategy for strengthening the capacity and collaboration of related parties as one of keys to increase the capacity of waste recycling, especially in urban areas in Indonesia. These five strategic priorities that city governments need to consider include: (i) the restructurization of Waste Bank and Temporary Disposal Site (TPS) 3R, (ii) the development of a better network with informal sector, (iii) improvement on the way city government maintain engagement with local community group, (iv) Closing the gap of waste recycling policy  in which city government must catch up constantly with the ideal format of waste recycling system stipulated in the waste management law and regulations, and (v) Increasing gender inclusiveness in the waste bank organizations.

Abstract

The background: The success of the learning determined by students, teachers, support facilities in learning method. The research aims at determining differences in theinfluence of the implementation ofexample non example type of cooperative learning method and jigsaw type to achievement of citizenship education study,differences in the influenceon the high learning students motivated and on the low learning motivated to citizenship education studys achievement, andthe interaction influence of learning method to the students motivation achievement on citizenship education study.Methods: This research used experiment methods.The population is junior high school student in Undaan district  Kudus regency. The research sampling was taken by using cluster random sampling, at total of 60 students. The data collecting technique used theory objective test, and questionnaire to know the students learning motivation. To variable of learning students motivated and citizenship education studys achievement learning questionnaire validity and reliability. Data was analyzedby two – ways  variant analisys.Results: From the data analysis it can be concluded: (1) There is a significant defferencee between in the implementation of the example non example type learning, cooperative method and jigsaw type to the achievement of citizenship education study (2) There is a significant defferencee between on on the high learning students motivated and on the low learning motivated to citizenship education studys achievement , and (3) there isan interaction of influencesof learning methodand the students motivation to achievement on citizenship education study . Keywords : example non example, jigsaw, achievement on citizenship education, students motivated

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pencapaian dan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis antara siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran dengan strategi MEA dengan siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran Ekspositori. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Dengan sampel terdiri dari 77 orang siswa kelas VII yang berasal dari dua kelas pada salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Lembang. Kelas petama mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan strategi Means-Ends Analysis (PMEA) dan kelas kedua mendapatkan pembelajaran Ekspositori (PE). Kedua kelas diberikan pretes dan postes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Berdasarkan faktor Kemampuan Awal Mahasiswa (KAM), subyek penelitian dibedakan atas tiga kelompok yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran menggunakan PMEA dengan yang memperoleh PE ditinjau dari keseluruhan dan KAM; (2) tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematika siswa terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Kata kunci: Means-Ends Analysis, Ekspositori, Penalaran Matematis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the Habits of mind of students through the problem-based learning (PBL) model based on the otetic assessment of mathematics learning. The study was conducted on 39 students of class X. The research method used was an pre-experiment method. with One group pretest-posttest design. Data analysis carried out was Normality Test, Homogeneity Test, t Test, and N gain Test. The results of this study indicate that the application of authentic assessment-oriented PBL method can improve students' habit of mind in mathematics learning. This can be seen from the increasing results of assessment of creative thinking, and student self-regulated. the results of the creative thinking assessment are N-Gain values of 0.47 or included in the medium criteria and the results of the hypothesis test state that the significance is smaller than the reference sig it can be said that there are significant differences between the pretest and posttest values. The results of the assessment of self regulation, show the value of N gain 0.59 in the medium category so that it is said there is an increase between the value of the pretet results and the value of the posttest results.
