Abstract

Bone is a tissue that has a density of extracellular matrix structures and composed by organic and inorganic components. Decalcification is a stage that plays an important role in bone histology using various types of solutions. The sample used in this study was lateral condyle from tibia of three garut sheeps (Ovis aries) which had been fixed with 10% Neutral Buffered Formalin (NBF) for 24 hours. Sample were cut into pieces ranging from 1 cm x 1 cm x 1 cm in size, the decalcification using three solutions; 10% nitric acid, 10% EDTA (pH 7.4) and 10% EDTA (pH 7.4) + TBD-1®. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of three solutions for the decalcification process of lateral tibial condyle of garut sheep. Observation parameter in this study includes: duration of decalcification, sectioning process of ribboning formation, structural integrity and absorption of hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. The results shows that 10% EDTA (pH 7.4) solution provides a long duration of decalcification which is ease sectioning process ribboning, the best structural integrity of lateral tibial condyle. In hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining shows that 10% nitric acid solution does not absorb the optimum color, opposite in 10% EDTA and 10% EDTA + TBD-1® solution, the color intensity between hematoxylin and eosin in the tissue shows the best results. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the 10% EDTA (pH 7.4) is the best decalcification solution for lateral condyle from tibial of garut sheeps.

Abstract

General anaesthesia has a high risk during surgery, regional anaesthesia with nerve block is expected to minimize the use of general anaesthesia while increase the analgesic effect and muscle relaxation effect. This study aimed to compare the analgesic effects of sciatic nerve block on the hind limb and the effect of lidocaine 2%, and a combination of 2% lidocaine with 2% xylazine on sheep cardiopulmonary function. Sciatic nerve block was guided with ultrasonography and nerve stimulator. In this research, sheep were sedated with diazepam (0.5 mg / kg). Sheep  was divided into three groups; first injected with saline solution (SS), second with lidocaine 2% 5 mg / kg (Lid) and third with lidocaine 2% 5 mg / kg and xylazine 2% 0.1 mg / kg (LidXyl). The results of this research showed that the LidXyl group had the highest analgesic effect and broader blockade area, namely femoris, cruris, and metatarsus-digit. The LidXyl blockade value was highest in the digitmetatarsus region, while the Lid group shows the highest blockade value in the cruris region. The LidXyl group with the addition of xylazine results in a decrease in heart rate and respiration rate. Xylazine increased and extended analgesic effect compared to lidocaine but resulted in a decrease in heart rate and respiration rate in the early minutes of anaesthesia, it is however safe to be used in sheep.

Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the dynamics of the development of cortical and medullary cells of adrenal gland in the long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) during pre- and postnatal period. The samples of adrenal glands were taken from 5 fetuses aged 70, 85, 100, 120, and 150 days of gestation, a newborn aged 10, and an infant aged 105 days old. The samples of the adrenal glands were stained with hematoxylin-eosin and Masson trichrome (Goldner?s modification). The results showed that the fetal adrenal cortex consisted of a definitive and fetal zones, but in the late gestation (fetus aged 150 days of gestation), the transitional zone appeared between both zones. At the postnatal period, the definitive zone changed to glomerulosa zone, while the outer cells of the transitional zone changed to fasciculata zone which radially arranged. The results indicated that the fetal zone was present until birth and it will disappear gradually after birth. The medullary cells were found at the fetal stages as an irregular structure of small islands of chromaffin cells in the fetal zone. This structure migrated slowly to the center of the adrenal glands. The characteristics of mature chromaffin cells were found in the adrenal glands at postnatal period. In conclusion, the cortex adrenal of the newborn of long-tailed macaque consisted of zona glomerulosa, zona fasciculata, zona transitional, and the remaining fetal zone that has dissapeared gradually after birth.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to observe the relationship of development of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) cells of adenohypophysis?adrenal cortex axis during pre and postnatal period of longtailed monkey (Macaca fascicularis). Five fetuses aged 70, 85, 100, 120, and 150 days of gestation and 2new born aged 10 and 105 days old were used as research materials. The sections of the pituitary gland stained immunohistochemically using human ACTH antiserum and the adrenal glands stained by Hematoxylin-Eosin procedures. At the fetus 120 days old, the ACTH cells and blood vessel of fetaladenohypophysis developed well and its similar that found in older age. This condition suggested distributing the ACTH to whole body optimally. At the same time, the adrenal cortex cells of fetus 120 days old were active in proliferation and differentiation processes to form transition zone that lies between definitive and fetal zones, and central vein also developed in adrenal gland. In fetus aged 150 days, the cortex adrenal structure was similar with found in older fetus. The adenohypophysis ACTH cells developed earlier than adrenal cortex and their secretion suggested influencing the development of adrenal cortex cells of long-tailed monkey.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the pathology of bureacucracy in the quality of service of periodic testing of motor vhehicles in the transpotation department of Takalar Regency. In this study, the form of pathology was divided into three forms of nepotism, favoritism and unfairness, the type of research is qualitative research. Research basis is descriptive method. The result of this study showed that the pathological form of bureaucracy in the form of nepotism, favoritism and unfairness still occurred in the UPTD of Transportation Departement of Takalar Regency. Factors that cause the pathology of bureaucracy were the blurring of the problem and complicated working system. Keywords : pathology bureaucracy,service quality  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui patologi birokrasi dalam kualitas pelayanan uji berkala kendaraan bermotor di Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Takalar. Dalam penelitian ini bentuk patologi terbagi atas tiga bentuk yaitu nepotisme,  pilih kasih dan tidak adil.Tipe penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe kualitatif. Dasar penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah tentang patologi birokrasi di Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Takalar dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk patologi birokrasi berupa nepotisme, pilih kasih dan tidak adil memang terjadi di UPTD Dinas Perhubungan Kabupaten Takalar. Faktor- faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya patologi birokrasi yaitu adanya pengaburan masalalah dan cara kerja yang berbelit-belit dari faktor-faktor tersebutlah yang menimbulkan patologi birokrasi dalam pelayanan uji berkala kendaraan bermotor di dinas perhubungan Kabupaten Takalar. Kata kunci: patologi birokrasi,kualitas pelayanan

Abstract

  An experiment was carried out to study energy metabolisability in Limousin Grade and Ongole Grade bulls fed fermented rice straw. This experiment used 4 Ongole Grade (OG) and 4 Ongole Grade x Limousin (OGL) bulls, aged 9 mths. Ongole Grade bulls weighed 109 ± 16 kg, while OGL bulls weighed 133 ± 25 kg. The feeds given were fermented rice straw (offered ad libitum) and concentrate (fed at 2.1% live weight). The breeds of cattle were compared to each other in an “Independent Sample Comparison” method. Parameters observed were energy intake, energy excretion through faeces, urine and methane, and live weight gain. The results showed that there was no significant difference (P>0.05) between OG and OGL in energy intake (58.2 MJ/d vs 74 MJ/d), nor in energy metabolisability (38,4% vs 43,4%) The LWG of OG (0,24 kg/d) was significantly (P<0.5) lower than that of OGL (0,47 kg/d). It was concluded that being given fermented rice straw, OG and OGL bulls had similar ability in dietary energy metabolism. Key Words: bull, breed, energy metabolism

Abstract

This study aims to determine the cow management based food carrying capacity as the conservation of local cattle in Aceh Besar. Data were collected in November 2016 s.d February 2017. Data collection was done with a technique cow management. Cow management data analysis performed by Chi Square. This study provides results that the cow management by breeder based on the level of education in Aceh Besar have good (if x2 count ? x2 tabel) at significant level of 5% with 7.81 degrees of freedom. the conclusion showed that the cow management base on food carrying capacity in the conservation efforts of local cow in Aceh Besar can be run properly.Keywords: Feed Management, Knowledge of breeders and Conservation Cow.

Abstract

Today the use filler in asphalt concrete mixes such as AC-WC has done much to improve durability. hydrated lime is the only one.The purpose of this reasearch was to determine theeffect of temperature variation of the modulus of elasticity and Poisson ratio figures asphalt contred wearing course (AC-WC) using hydrated lime as a filler. Variations hydrated lime used inthis reasearch is a variation of the levels of hydrated lime: dust filer 0%, 25% and 50%, and the temperature variation is 20°C, 30°C, 40°C, 50°C, 60°C. The results showed that the higher the test temperature, the diminishing value of modulus of elasticity, but inversely proportional to the number poisson where the higher the test temperature, the higher the number poissonnya, causing the mixture to become more flexible when the load is given. The results showed that the greater the level of lime, the diminishing value of modulus of elasticity, but inversely proportional to the number poisson where greater levels of calcium, the higher the number poissonnya, causing the mixture to become more flexible when the load is given.Keyword:  Temperature, Asphalt Concrete wearing course, HydratedLime, Indirect Tensile Strength (IDT-Strength), Modulus of Elasticity, Poisson ratio.

Abstract

Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia dalam melaksanakan pemerintahan, dibentuk pemerintah daerah. Pemerintah Daerah dibagi atas daerah provinsi dan daerah kabupaten/kota, berdasarkan asas desentralisasi, dekonsentrasi dan tugas pembantuan, untuk menjalankan kewenangan dari pemerintah pusat, salah satunya yaitu tentang pembuatan kebijakan, untuk mengatur segala urusan dan wewenang daerah di tingkat provinsi maupun tingkat kabupaten/kota. Kegiatan pertambangan di kawasan Gunung Merapi berdampak pada kerusakan alam, Pemerintah Kabupaten Magelang mengeluarkan kebijakan berupa PERBUB Magelang Nomor 26 Tahun 2014 Tentang Usaha Pertambangan Pada Kawasan Gunung Merapi Di Kabupaten Magelang. Dari penelitian di Desa Keningar, Banyudono, dan Ngargomulyo, dengan metode Yuridis Sosiologis bahwa kegiatan pertambangan disana tidak memiliki izin. Faktor pendukung penegakannya yaitu masyarakat setuju pelarangan penggunaan alat berat sehingga masyarakat dapat bekerja sebagai penambang manual dan bisa menekan kerusakan alam. Faktor penghambatnya yaitu setelah berlakunya Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pemerintah Daerah, pengelolaan sumber daya alam menjadi wewenang Pemerintah Provinsi, sehingga kedudukan PERBUB tidak mempunyai kekuatan hukum, perizinan menjadi wewenang Pemerintahan Provinsi. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu Pemerintah Provinsi melakukan penyesuaian peraturan teknis pelaksanaannya, koordinasi antara Pemerintah Provinsi dan Pemerintah Kabupaten mengatur pertambangan, dan peran Pemerintah Desa untuk melakukan sosialisasi  menjaga kelestarian alam agar dapat mengendalikan kegiatan pertambangan.
