Abstract

Muscle power was defined as the combination between speed and strenght of muscle contraction and enters in the fitness components. Plyometrics exercises can be used to improve the skills of volleyball players. This study was an experimental study using research designs pre test and post test control group design. The sampling technique inthis study with a simple random sampling. The total sample of 20 person so in one group consisted of 10 person. The first group was given additional ballistic stretching on knee tuck jump exercise. The second group was given knee tuck jump exercise. Measurements of leg muscle power using vertical jump test. Normality test p > 0.05 and homogeneitytest p > 0.05. The results showed an increase in leg muscle power in first group amounted to 14.30 cm and in second group an increase of 7.70 cm. Paired samples t-test p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) in first group and p = 0.000 (p < 0.05) in second group. Test increase explosive power leg muscle after exercise in both groups using independent sample t-test obtained first group and second group where p = 0.000 (p <0.05) with an increase in the percentage of 30.95% in the first group and 16.73% in the second group. From the research done can be concluded that the addition of ballisticstretching on knee tuck jump exercise is more effective than knee tuck jump exercise in increasing explosive power leg muscle in male volleyball players Medical Faculty Of Udayana University. Abstract

Mahasiswa yang sibuk identik dengan rendahnya tingkat aktivitas fisik dan peningkatan pola konsumsi khususnya fast food menyebabkan penumpukan energi sebagai lemak sehingga terjadi peningkatan indeks massa tubuh (IMT). IMT dan aktivitas fisik merupakan salah satu faktor pendukung keseimbangan tubuh. Keseimbangan yang baik, khususnya keseimbangan dinamis yang baik sangat bermanfaat bagi kelancaran aktivitas harian dan mengurangi resiko jatuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan IMT dan aktivitas fisik terhadap keseimbangan dinamis pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana. Rancangan penelitian ini study potong lintang, dilakukan Mei 2015 dengan populasi seluruh mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana yang memenuhi kriteria penelitian, terdiri dari 107 mahasiswa yang berusia 18-22 tahun dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Pengukuran aktivitas fisik menggunakan International Physical Activity Questionnaire, pengukuran keseimbangan dinamis dengan Modified Bass Test. Analisis data menggunakan metode Chi Square Test dengan p < 0,05 adalah bermakna.Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan kelompok seimbang paling banyak pada kategori normal yaitu 17 responden dan tidak seimbang paling banyak pada kategori obes II yaitu 19 responden. Dari hasil analisis hubungan antara IMT terhadap keseimbangan dinamis, didapatkan hasil p=0,000 (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian ini juga didapatkan kelompok seimbang paling banyak pada kategori aktivitas fisik berat yaitu 25 responden dan tidak seimbang paling banyak pada kategori aktivitas fisik rendah yaitu 40 responden. Dari hasil analisis hubungan antara aktivitas fisik terhadap keseimbangan dinamis, didapatkan hasil p=0,000 (p<0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara IMT dengan keseimbangan dinamis dan terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara aktivitas fisik dengan keseimbangan dinamis pada mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Udayana.

Abstract

Balance is an ability to maintain the center of gravity when stationary and when moving. An experimental study conducted with Pre and Post Test Two Group Design to compare Balance Strategy Exercise and Isotonic Quadriceps Exercise with a 1 kilogram load in improving dynamic balance for elderly aged over 60 years. A sample of 26 peoples divided into two groups. Independent Samples T-test found the average difference in improvement of dynamic balance in Balance Strategy group was 6,00 and the Isotonic Quadriceps group was 2,69 with p=0,000 (p<0,05). BalanceStrategy Exercise can be summed better in improving dynamic balance rather than Isotonic Quadriceps with a load of 1 kilogram in elderly aged over 60 years at Pitra Village, Penebel District, Tabanan. Abstract

Osteoarthritis Genu merupakan suatu kondisi degeneratif pada sendi yang menyebabkan penurunan kemampuan fungsional. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk membuktikan perbedaan efektivitas antara intervensi ultrasound dan perturbation training dengan ultrasound dan closed kinematic chain exercise terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada penderita osteoarthritis genu grade 2. Pengukuran kemampuan fungsional menggunakan indeks WOMAC. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan pre dan post test control group design. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 22 orang yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kelompok 1 diberikan intervensi ultrasound dan perturbation training dan Kelompok 2 diberikan ultrasound dan closed kinematic chain exercise. Uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test didapatkan hasil p=0,000 dengan beda rerata 21,45±4,132 pada Kelompok 1, sedangkan pada Kelompok 2 didapatkan hasil p=0.000 dengan beda rerata 11,55±1,368. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan fungsional yang signifikan pada setiap kelompok. Uji perbandingan dengan independent sample t-test didapatkan beda selisih p=0,000 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, dapat disimpulkan bahwa intervensi ultrasound dan perturbation training lebih baik dibandingkan dengan ultrasound dan closed kinematic chain exercise terhadap peningkatan kemampuan fungsional pada penderita osteoarthritis genu grade 2.

Abstract

ABSTRACTCardiorespiratory endurance is the ability of the heart, blood vessels and lungs that did not experience excessive fatigue in carrying out daily activities. Each additional 1 kg/m2 body mass index will lower the value of cardiorespiratory endurance of 1,349 mlO2/kg/min. This research aimed to identify the effect of heart-healthy gymnastic exercise to cardiorespiratory endurance of overweight female students. This research conducted an experimental research, designed with Pre and Post Test Control Group Design with simple random sampling technique was conducted to obtain the samples. There were 20 people as the samples divided into two groups with each group consisted of 10 persons; treatment group applied to do heart-healthy gymnastic exercise while control group received no treatment. Data-obtaining process was conducted by measuring cardiorespiratory endurance,applying Cooper 12 minute run test before and after the treatment for the two groups. Normality and homogenity data were tested by applying Saphiro-Wilk Test and Levene’s Test. There was a significant change of paired sample t-test result to treatment group by p=0,000 (p<0,05) while control group did not gain significant change in the amount of p=0,799 (p>0,05). Comparative analysis by applying independent t-test showed a significant change between treatment group and control group where p=0,000 (p<0,05). Therefore, it was concluded that heart-healthy gymnastic exercise was effective in improving cardiorespiratory endurance. Keywords: cardiorespiratory endurance, heart-healthy gymnastic, overweight

Abstract

Seorang pemain sepak bola sangat beresiko mengalami functional ankle instability. Functional ankle instability akan mempengaruhi keseimbangan pemain sepak bola. Pelatihan proprioseptif merupakan salah satu metode untuk meningkatkan keseimbangan dinamis. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas pelatihan proprioseptif terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan dinamis. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian praeksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest posttest design. Penelitian ini terdiri dari 20 sampel. Pelatihan dilakukan selama 6 minggu dengan frekuensi latihan 3 kali seminggu. Uji statistik menggunakan wilcoxon sign rank test menunjukan nilai p=0.000 (p<0.05), yang berarti ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada nilai rerata keseimbangan dinamis sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan. Artinya pelatihan proprioseptif memberikan peningkatan yang bermakna terhadap keseimbangan dinamis pada pemain sepak bola dengan functional ankle instability di SSB Pegok.

Abstract

ABSTRACTVertical jump is the highest jump movement focusing leg muscle strength to achieve a stepping straight up to the maximum. The basic technique is predominantly done in the game of basketball, especially when doing the shooting, where players have to jump shoot to put the ball into the ring. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interpolation of contrax relax stretching is more effective in increasing vertical jump than ballistic stretching on depth jump exercise. The research result showed, there is an increase of vertical jump in the group one (ballistic stretching) of 4.55 whereas in the group two (contrax relax stretching) there was an increase of 8.36. Paired t-test result showed the significant result with p=0.000 (p<0.05) in the group one and p=0.000 (p<0.05) in the group two.Independent t-test result showed a significant difference in the vertical jump between the group one and group two, where p=0.000 (p<0.05). Based on these results it can be concluded that the addition of contrax relax stretching is more effective in increasing vertical jump than ballistic stretching on depth jump exercise.
