Abstract

Background: The neonatal jaundice (icterus neonatorum) is a frequent problem encountered ininfants during the first week after birth. Sixty percents of healthy infants born full term are at riskof neonatal jaundice and 5-12% of infants are at risk of developing severe jaundice. Bilirubinencephalopathy causes severe jaundice/kernicterus and the baby suffering from cernicterus willexperience impaired growth and development. Severe neonatal jaundice can be prevented byutilization of sunlight. Sunlight helps the process of bilirubin degradation as to preventaccumulation of excessive bilirubin in the blood in the newborn.Objective: To determine the effect of utilization of sunlight on the risk of severe icterusneonatorum. To determine the reasons mothers do the utilization of sunlight and the reason themothers have not done proper utilization of sunlight.Methods: This study was an observational study with a prospective cohort design. The study wasconducted with quantitative and qualitative approaches. Sampling used purposive sampling. Thesample size was 86 pairs of mother-infant who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The datawas collected using monitoring sheets, check lists, and questionnaires. The qualitative data wereobtained from interviews to 6 respondents. Hypothesis test used chi-square with p<0.05 and 95%Confidence Interval. Analysis of data used univariable, bivariable, and qualitative analyses.Results: There were differences in the proportion of the incidence risk of neonatal jaundiceamong infants who received the good utilization of sunlight with infants who had less utilization ofsunlight. Babies who lacked the benefits of sunlight had a 2.5 times greater chance to experienceneonatal jaundice compared with infant with good benefits of sunlight. The reason why motherstook advantage of sunlight was because they felt confident that the sun could cope with jaundicein infants. They received knowledge about the benefits of sunlight from the information providedby health workers and family. The mothers had enough knowledge about the techniques ofappropriate utilization of sunlight but with less knowledge about the risks of ultraviolet on skin.Conclusion: Infants who benefited less sunlight had higher risk for having neonatal jaundicecompared with infants who benefited adequate sunlight. Abstract

PT. XYZ is a food and beverage company in Indonesia which produces many kinds of products with several different packing size since 1979. PT. XYZ always strives to improve production efficiency, especially in minimizing waste and loss that occur in every process of production. This study was conducted to calculate the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of packaging machines at line 2 of PT. XYZ and identify the cause of the loss and waste that exist during production process. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is a method to evaluate how effectively a manufacturing operation is utilized. The result of this research indicated that the OEE percentages of packaging machines both Weighing and SVB do not meet the company’s standards, which is 80 %. The main factor causing the declining value of OEE is machine availability and it is happened because the machine operator takes a long time to set up the machine.

Abstract

Acid sulfate soil productivity is low due to the low availability of nutrients and high levels of soil acidity. It needs the organic material and dolomite to create the growing medium to be balance on its nutrient available, both physical and biological characteristic on the acid sulfated land. The aim of this research was to know the respond of cacao germ and the optimal doses of organic fertilizer of palm oil mill effluent. This research was take place in Jambi during September 2012 until March 2013. The factorial completely randomized design was applied. The first factor was organic fertilizer of palm oil mill effluent doses (0, 70, 140 and 280 ml.polybag-1 or equivalent with 0, 28.000, 56.000 and 84.000 l.ha-1). The second factor was dolomit doses (0, 2 and 4 g.polybag-1 or equivalent with 0, 800 and 1600 kg.ha-1). Kakao Lindak Klon ICS 13 was used as indicator plant. The acid sulfated soil was taken from Lagan Ulu Village Tanjung Jabung Timur District Jambi Province. The result of the research showed that the respond of cacao germ toward to an organic fertilizer of palm oil mill effluent and dolomite useness effected on the increasing of vegetative growth. Generally conclusions showed that the combination of 800 kg.ha-1 of dolomite and 84.000 l.ha-1 organic fertilizer of palm oil mill effluent was the optimal treatment which show the maximum of plant high, crown dry weigh, leaf wide and root crown ratio.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih kurangnya kreativitas anak. Hal tersebut diindikasikan dengan banyaknya anak yang kurang optimal dalam megerjakan kegiatan cenderung malas-malasan dan kurang antusias karena sering menggunakan lembar kerja, anak juga terlihat mencotek hasil karya temannya. Hal ini terjadi karena proses pembelajaran yang monoton, guru belum mengembangkan permainan yang mampu mengasah kreativitas anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kreativitas anak pada kelompok B TK IT Permata Bunda Mranggen Demak melalui bermain mencipta bidang dari kepingan geometri.Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dan alat pengumpulan data berupa observasi dan dokumentasi. Di dalam penelitian ini terdapat dua variabel, yang terdiri dari satu variabel bebas (independent variable) atau variabel (X) yaitu bermain mencipta bentuk dari kepingan geometri, dan satu variabel terikat (dependent variable) atau variabel (Y) yaitu kreativitas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seluruh anak kelompok B TK IT Permata Bunda Mranggen Demak tahun ajaran 2014/2015, sebanyak 16 anak.Dari hasil akhir dengan menggunakan teknik permainan dan observasi dengan dua siklus diperoleh hasil peningkatan kreativitas anak, yaitu mencapai 75% pada siklus pertama dan 81,25 % pada siklus kedua (indikator kinerja tercapai). Hasil hipotesis yang berbunyi kreativitas anak meningkat melalui bermain mencipta bidang dari kepingan geometri pada kelompok B TK IT Permata Bunda Mranggen Demak tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dan berdasarkan hasil akhir tersebut, maka hipotesis yang diajukan diterima kebenarannya.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kreativitas anak dapat ditingkatkan melalui bermain mencipta bidang dari kepingan geometri. Oleh karena itu hendaknya guru menciptakan permainan yang lebih kreatif, karena anak akan memperoleh pengalaman secara langsung dengan obyek yang dipelajarinya.

Abstract

Exploiting the potential acid sulphate soils for agriculture are faced with soil chemical properties that are less supportive include low pH; levels of Al, Fe, Mn and SO4 high; high salt content; macro nutrient deficiency. It is necessary for the palm oil mill effluent (POME) that can be used as organic fertilizer. The study aims to determine the effect of incubation fertilizer palm oil mill effluent to an anaerobic secondary first time retaining hydrolysis of 4 weeks against chemical and physical properties of acid sulfate soil and determine fertilizer palm oil mill effluent to an anaerobic secondary first time retaining hydrolysis 4 weeks right. The research was conducted at PT. Sumbertama Nusa Pertiwi Kumpeh District of Ulu Muaro Jambi and in the laboratory, lasted for 3 months. Research using completely randomized design , with 3 levels of treatment provision of secondary anaerobic pond POME first with a time of 4 weeks detention hydrolysis, incubated at 10 kg a potential acid sulphate soil. The treatments studied 500, 750 and 1000 ml polybag-1. The results showed that administration of an anaerobic POME first secondary effect on the physical and chemical properties of acid sulphate soil. Abstract

Soil has runs out of phosphore.Moreover, P fertilizing is inefficient because the P compound to be absorved by plants is bound to the other compound. Consequently, it is suggested that farmers use phosphate solvent microba such as phosphate solvent bacteria. As biofertilizer, phosphate solvent bacteria may function as a provider of P substance and soil arranger,besides, it is enviroment-friendly. Several types of phosphate solvent bacteria that significantly provide P substance and support the growth of plants are pseudomonas, bacillus,bacterium, citribacter and escherrechia.

Abstract

Palm oil mill wastewater ( LCPKS ) or palm oil mill effluent ( POME ) is one type of organic agro-industrial wastes . So that the waste can be useful as a fertilizer it must be free of pollutants and high nutrient levels . The research aims to determine the diversity and level of reduction of nutrient content and LCPKS contaminants in the processing of primary anaerobic pond I, II secondary anaerobic pond to the aerobic pond . The experiment was conducted at PT . Sumbertama Nusa Pertiwi District Kumpeh Hulu Muaro Jambi and in the Laboratory , lasted for 3 months . Implementation research using survey methods at the site of primary anaerobic pond treatment LCPKS I, II secondary anaerobic pond and aerobic pond LCPKS then analyzed in the laboratory . The results showed that the levels of nutrients N , P , K , COD , BOD , TSS and C - organic LCPKS acidification pond is higher than the first secondary anaerobic pond and aerobic pond , while Al and Fe content varies . Ca and Mg levels are higher in the aerobic pond . LCPKS acidification has an acidic pH , the first secondary anaerobic pond rather sour and slightly alkaline aerobic pond . Highest total in an aerobic fungi and total bacteria in an anaerobic highest first secondary .Keywords: Characteristics of Palm Oil Mill Effluent

Abstract

So that the palm oil mill wastewater (LCPKS) into organic fertilizer, the required processing which aims to increase the nutrient content and degrade organic matter (dissolved and suspended materials). Alternative processing to do, among others, is to use the chemical processing of mineral zeolite. The study aims to determine the chemical processing techniques LCPKS using zeolite minerals and determine the proper dose of zeolite minerals in order to increase the levels of N, P and K palm oil mill effluent pond acidification and appropriate quality standards of waste. The research was conducted at PT. Sumbertama Nusa Pertiwi Kumpeh District of Hulu Muaro and in the Laboratory, lasted for 3 months. Conducting research using using zeolite minerals clinoptilolite powder 60 mesh types of Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. Research using completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 levels of treatment is done by adding the mineral zeolite 0, 5, 10 and 15%, then LCPKS analysis in the laboratory. The results showed that the zeolite 10% on LCPKS Swimming acidification give the levels of N, P, K, which is higher as well as BOD and pH appropriate quality standards of waste. Giving zeolite 15% on LCPKS Swimming Acidification provides the efficiency of adsorption of N, P, and K were higher.Keywords: Fertilizer LCPKS and mineral zeolite

Abstract

To get the planting medium that can support plant growth, especially on marginal land such as the type Ultisol required the addition of biological material and nutrients through fertilization. This study aims to obtain bio-fertilizer and P fertilizer phosphate solvent appropriate to the Ultisol order to support the growth of oil palm seedlings in a nursery optimal primary. The experiment was conducted in the city of Jambi using factorial completely randomized design consisting of biological treatment of solvent phosphate fertilizer (0, 30 and 60g of plant-1) and P fertilizer (0, 4.45 g and 9.80 g plant-1) and there were three replications with nine treatment combinations. The results showed that the treatment effect is very significant effect on seedling height, stem diameter, leaf area, dry weight of crowns and roots. In general it can be concluded that the solvent of biological fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer P is very influential on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery on Ultisol. Solvent biological phosphate fertilizer plant 60g-1 and P fertilizer dose of 4.45 g is the best in supporting the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery.                                                        Keyword :  Oil palm seeds, Ultisol, P fertilizer, biological fertilizer phosphate solvent
