Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuntikan ekstrakhipofisis terhadap berat testes, gambaran mikroskopis testes, dan kualitas semenayam hutan merah (Gallus gallus). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan AcakLengkap dengan 4 kelompok perlakuan masing masing kelompok menggunakan 4ekor ayam hutan merah sebagai ulangan : Kelompok I (T0) : sebagai kontrol disuntikdengan 0,25 ml NaCl 0,9% secara intramuscular. Kelompok II (T1) : disuntik dengan0,25 ml ekstrak hipofisis dengan konsentrasi 25% secara intra muskuler. Kelompok III (T2) : disuntik dengan 0,25 ml ekstrak hipofisis dengan konsentrasi 50% intramuskuler. Kelompok IV (T3) : disuntik dengan 0,25 ml ekstrak hipofisis dengankonsentrasi 75% intra muskuler. Penyuntikan dilakukan sebanyak 8 kali, dilakukansetiap 12 jam selama 4 hari. 12 jam setelah penyuntikan yang terakhir hewan cobadiambil semennya dan dievaluasi, lalu dibunuh untuk diamati berat testes dangambaran mikroskopisnya.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : penyuntikan ekstrak hipofisisberpengaruh sangat nyata (P<0,01) meningkatkan berat testes, meningkatkan aktifitasspermatogenesis yang ditandai dengan semakin padatnya lumen tubuliseminiferi,semakin menebalnya lapisan spermatogenik, dan semakin tebalnya lapisan interstitial, dan juga meningkatkan kualitas semen ayam hutan merah dengan meningkatnyakonsentrasi spermatozoa secara sangat nyata (P<0,01). The objective of this study was to find out the effect of exstract hypophysis injection on testes weigh, picture of microscopis testes, and semen quality of red jungle fowl (Gallus gallus). The exsperimental design used in this study was a completely randomised design. Twenty red jungle fowl were divided randomly into four group. Group I (T0): was injection with NaCl 0,9% intramuscular. Group II (T1): was injection with 25% hypophysis exstract intramuscular, Group III (T2): was injection with 50% hypophysis exstract. Group IV (T3): was injection with 75% hypophysis exstract. Injection to carried out eight times, every twelve hours until four days. Twelve hours after finish injection the sample was to collected semen by massage, and then to kill to examination the testes weigh, and picture of microscopis testes. Data of microscopis testes were analyzed using quality descriptive analysis Testes weigh and semen quality were analyzed using anava and Duncan Multiple range test.The result showed the ekstract hypophysis injection there were increasing of testes weigh, increasing spermatogenesis activity of seminiferous tubules, and increasing of semen quality(P<0,01)

Abstract

The objective of this study to find out the histological of spleen of bali cattle. Thespleenwere collected from 20 bali cattle in Pesanggaran abattoir, Denpasar and thenevaluated microscopically. Histological findings were assessed by H-E stainpreparations.Microscopically, showed that the spleen of bali cattle consists of capsule,white and red pulp. The capsule composed of connective tissue and smooth muscle withthick of these layer is 24,3 ± 3,7 ?m. The white pulp subdivided into the marginal zone andthe follicle. It is composed of reticulocyte (lymphocytes and macrophages) andreticular fibers. The red pulp composed of arterioles, capillary, and vascular sinusoidswhich are large numbers of erythrocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, plasma cells andsparse lymphocytes.

Abstract

A Study to detect the microscopic structure of large intestine (caecum, colon, rectum) ofbali cattle has been carried out. The samples were collected from 20 of bali cattle in Pesanggaran abattoir, Denpasar. The tissue samples were fixed, dehydrated and embeddedin paraffin and 4-5 mm sections. Harris-Haematoxilin-Eosin staining method, using toidentified of histological structure. Microscopic analysis was performed using binocularlight microscope (100 x, 450x). The study showed that the wall of the caecum, colon, andrectum are made up of four layers : mucosae, submucosae, muscularis externa, and serosa.The lined by mucosae ephitelium of simple columnar cells. The thick of mucosaare 29,9 ± 5,0 mm (caecum) 37,5 ± 8,4 mm (colon) and 58,9 ± 9,5 mm (rectum)respectively. The submucosae contain connective tissue and thick of these layerare 54,8 ± 8,8 mm; 21,2 ± 7,1 mm; and 16,5 ± 4,5 mm respectively. The muscularis externaconsists of two layers of smooth muscle inner circular and outer longitudinal. The thick ofthe mucularis externa are 98,5 ± 15,4 mm; 166,9 ± 44,4 mm; and 479 ± 28,6 mmrespectively. The serosa forms the outermost layer with thick 29,5 ± 8,5 mm;20,9 ± 7,6mm; and 12,1 ± 3,6 mm respectively. We observed for the presence richof Goblet cells and few limphatic nodules (Peyer?s patches) but no showed villi.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mineral magnesium and copper profile in blood serum of bali cattle farmed on dry land. Samples blood serum was taken from 15 bali cattles that farmed on dry land at Kecamatan Tejakula, Buleleng-Bali. Serums was analyzed by using wet destruction was H2SO4 and HNO3. Samples are read using by Atomic Absorpsion Spectrophotometry (AAS). The result shows that magnesium mean of 22,364 mg/l + 0, 005 mg/l, and copper mean of 0,087 mg/l + 0.001 mg/l. If this result compared to other cattle around the world, magnesium level is still in the normal range, while copper level more lower than normal level.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian mengenai pengaruh pemberian pegagan (Centella asiatica)terhadap gambaran mikroskopis usus halus mencit yang diinfeksi Salmonella typhi.Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel usus halus mencit jantan strain Balb/C yang berumur 2-3 bulan dengan berat badan berkisar antara 20-35 gram. Sebanyak 24 ekor mencit dipakaidalam penelitian, dibagi empat kelompok, yakni kelompok 1 sebagai kontrol diberikanaquades steril, kelompok 2 diberikan pegagan dengan dosis 125 mg/kg bb, kelompok 3diberikan pegagan 250 mg/kg bb, dan kelompok 4 diberikan pegagan 500 mg/kg bb.Setelah 14 hari seluruh mencit diinfeksi dengan S. typhi. Pada hari ke-15 dilakukannekropsi untuk pengambilan sampel berupa usus halus dan dibuat preparat histology,menggunakan pewarnaan Hematoxilin-Eosin. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengamatan diLaboratorium Histologi Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan, terhadap gambaran mikroskopis yangmeliputi perubahan berupa : perdarahan, infiltrasi sel radang, dan deskuamasi epitel usushalus. Metode pewarnaan menggunakan Hematoxilin-Eosin. Data yang diperoleh dianalisisdengan Uji Kruskall-Wallis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pegagan dengandosis 125 mg/kg bb dengan kontrol tidak berbeda nyata (p>0,05), apabila dibandingkandengan dosis pegagan250 mg/kg bb memberikan hasil yang berbeda nyata (p<0,05) danantara pemberian dosis pegagan 250 mg/kg bb dan 500 mg/kg bb memberikan hasil yangtidak berbeda nyata (p>0,05). Hal ini berarti, pemberian ekstrak pegagan (Centella asiatica)dengan dosis 250 mg/kg bb dapat mencegah perubahan gambaran mikroskopis usus halusakibat infeksi S. typhi.
