Abstract

This research aimed to improve the students’ ability of literature through PAKEM concept in teaching learning process using picture cards to the students of PGSD S1 academic year 2010-2011. The research was the class action research with the research subject of all students of The Elementary School Teacher Education S1 academic year 2010-2011 class D, which consisted of 51 students, 16 male students, and 35 female students. The research process was done in two cycles; each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. Each meeting consisted of 2 lecture-hours (2x50 minutes). To know the first condition, it was conducted the pre-test, and the data of pre-test was used as the basic action of the fist cycle. After delivering the material of poem by applying the concept of PAKEM using the media of picture cards, it was continued by the post-test of the first cycle. The data of post- test I was used as the action of the second cycle, and it was ended by the analysis and the reflection of all cycles. The data collection was done by using test and non-test. Using test was by pre-test and post-test, and non-test was by observation, interview and documentation. The source used to process the data was score or from the quantitative data (the poem- writing score) and qualitative data. The result of the processing data was used to describe the achievement of the action towards the improvement of the students’ literature appreciation through PAKEM concept using the media of picture cards. It could be proven from the result of the research, observation and evaluation. After the action, it was proven that students’ literature appreciation improved in writing poem. In the cycle 1, it was found that 52% of the students were successful and 48% of them were not yet successful with the average point of 72. In the cycle 2, it, it was found that 75% of the students were successful and 20% of them were not yet successful with the average point of 77. Based on this description, it was concluded that the application of PAKEM concept using picture cards could improve the literature appreciation of S1 PGSD students in academic year 2010-2011.Key Words: active, creative, effective, and fun learning concept,listening to poem.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui  kemampuan membaca teks berita menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) bagi mahasiswa PBSI. Data yang terkumpul dalam penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif berupa hasil evaluasi atau hasil tes formatif setelah selesai tindakan berupa nilai hasil belajar yang dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif atau menggunakan analisis statistic deskriptif nilai rata-rata dan presentase keberhasilan belajar.Sedangkan data kualitatif yaitu data yang berupa informasi berbentuk kalimat yang memberi gambaran aktivitasmahasiswa dalampembelajaran(kognitif). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca teks berita dengan menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC) berbasis pendekatan saintifik pada mahasiswa PBSI UMP berkategori cukup. Hasil kemampuan mahasiswa dalam memahami kata sebesar 79,5% kategori baik, menyarikan butir-butir teks sebesar 80% kategori baik, memahami pengembangan argument sebesar 70,73% kategori cukup, memahami informasi sebesar 63,86% kategori cukup, mengulas informasi sebesar 54% kategori rendah, menyimpulkan informasi sebesar 53,3% kategori rendah dan menanggapi isi teks sebesar 80,37% kategori baik. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Membaca Teks Berita, Model Pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading And Composition (CIRC)

Abstract

 The study was aimed at describing the coherence of paragraphs written by the learners of Seminar Subject of Indonesian Language and Art Study Program – the Teacher Training and Education Faculty – the University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The stated problems covered the quality of paragraph coherence and the factors that influenced the lack of coherence. Method in this study was descriptive quantitative-qualitative, involving the learners’ papers of the seminar subject, i.e the paragraphs available as the data source. The data were gathered through documentation technique, in which quantitative-qualitative analysis was applied; the quantitative analysis technique was used to describe the quality of coherence, whereas the qualitative analysis technique was implemented to describe the influential factors. Result of the study indicated that few paragraphs fell into the grades of ‘good’ and very good’. The finding also concluded that the learners were capable of developing coherent paragraph, though not yet optimum. Keywords: coherension, paragraph.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara kualitatif pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP berdasarkan kurikulum 2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Strategi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi kasus. Sumber data yang digunakan meliputi arsip atau dokumen, informan atau narasumber, tempat dan peristiwa atau aktivitas berupa proses belajar mengajar bahasa Indonesia di SMP. Sumber data ini akan memberikan informasi riil atau nyata tentang implementasi kurikulum 2013 bahasa Indonesia pada sekolah tempat penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dokumen kurikulum belum lengkap terutama silabus dan buku pegangan guru dan siswa, pelaksanaan pembelajaran belum sepenuhnya dapat berjalan dengan baik, penilaian pada kurikulum 2013 yang terlalu rumit dan kompleks. Dalam  mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013 pada dasarnya sudah baik meskipun ruhnya belum tampak, aktivitas siswa belum sepenuhnya aktif, pada aspek pola pikir, pola mengajar guru belum banyak berubah dari deduktif ke induktif, aktivitas siswa harus dibangun seperti: mengamati gejala atau kondisi lingkungan, aktif menanyakan hal yang diamati, mencoba suatu kegiatan, mengasosiasikan dan menyimpulkan dari apa yang diamati. Kata Kunci: Kurikulum 2013; Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia; Sekolah                            Menengah Pertama

Abstract

Penelitian yang berjudul Kajian Morfologi Bahasa Jawa Dialek Banyumas bertujuan  mendeskripsikan pembentukan kata beserta makna yang dimunculkan dalam dialek Banyumas.Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode cakap dan teknik pancing. Adapun sumber data dalam penelitian adalah informan orang Banyumas asli. Data penelitian berupa kata-kata hasil proses morfologis. Pada tahap analisis data digunakan metode padan intralingual.Metode padan intralingual tersebut diterapkan dengan teknik banding menyamakan (HBS) dan teknik hubung banding membedakan (HBB). Penyajian data dilakukan dengan metode informal. Dalam penelitian ditemukan data, yaitu (1) kata-kata berimbuhan yang meliputi kata-kata berawalan Nasal {ng-, m-, n-,ny-, nge-}, {di-/de-}, {tek-}, {ka-/ke-}, {sa-/se-}; kata berakhiran {-i}, {-ake/-aken}, {-na/-kna}, {-en}, {-e}, {-an}; kata berkonfiks {ke-an}, {ke-en}, {pa-an}, kata bersisipan {-um-}dan {-in-}, (2) kata ulang, dengan jenis-jenis kata ulang seluruh bentuk dasar, kata ulang berkombinasi imbuhan, dan kata ulang berubah bunyi, (3) kata majemuk dengan jenis-jenis kata majemuk koordinatif dan subordinatif. Pada proses pembentukan kata, pengimbuhan, perulangan, dan permajemukan membawa fungsi dan makna yang cukup bervariasi dalam dialek Banyunas.           Kata-kata kunci:    morfologi, bahasa Jawa, dialek Banyumas

Abstract

Penelitian mengenai analisis kemampuan menulis argumentasi dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis argumentasi. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut rumusan masalah penelitian, yaitu bagaimanakah kemampuan menulis argumentasi mahasiswa Fak. Farmasi UMP? Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik kualitatif- kuantitatif. Terdapat lima aspek penting yang dinilai, yaitu (1) kesesuaian pendapat dengan fakta pendukung, (2) organisasi gagasan dalam mengemukakan pendapat, (3) mengemukakan isi autoritas, (4) pilihan struktur dan kosakata, dan (5) ejaan. Setiap makalah yang dinilai mengacu pada kelima poin tersebut. Jumlah makalah yang digunakan sebagai sumber data, sebanyak 40 makalah mahasiswa.Skor rata-rata yang dihasilkan sebesar 64,32 dengan skor minimum yang dihasilkan adalah 46,67, dan skor maksimum adalah 80. Pembagian skor berdasarkan frekuensi yang dihasilkan, yaitu 6 orang dengan skor 46,67 (15%), 7 orang dengan skor 53,30 (17,5%), 5 orang dengan skor 60 (12,5%), 11 orang dengan skor 73,33 (27,5%), dan 6 orang dengan skor 80 (15%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis argumentasi berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research is aimed at knowing whether or not role play is effective in improving students’ ability in speaking with “krama” variant in Javanese language. This is developmental research taking the eighth-year students of SMP Negeri (State Junior High School) 2 in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia, of the academic year of 2006/2007 as the sample. This research was done in two cycles in CAR (Classroom Action Research), each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Each acting stage took 2 x 40 minutes. The data was collected using test, observation, interview, and journal in each cycle. The data was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The initial mean score of students’ ability of using “krama” variant in Javanese language was 64.5. After the first cycle, it became 67.42 which was categorized as fair. After the second, it was 73 and categorized as good, above the Minimum Competence Criterion. It can therefore be concluded that role play can improve the ability in using “krama” variant of the Javanese language of students of SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto.
