Abstract

The investors have a goal of getting return when they invest their wealth, but on the other hand they should bear the risk that might arise from their investment. There are three categories of investors based on their preferences toward risk that is risk averter, moderate risk and risk taker. To establish a portfolio that is able to incorporate investor preferences is used Resampled Efficient Frontier Method. Resampled Efficient Frontier Method is a development of the Mean Variance Efficient Portfolios Method, which used Monte Carlo simulation to obtain more estimated of parameter inputs. Based on the efficient portfolios of Resampled Efficient Frontier along the efficient frontier with 51 efficient points, taken optimal portfolio for each investor type. Optimal portfolio for risk averter, moderate risk and risk taker respectively is an efficient portfolio on the first point, 26th point, and 51st point. To describe the loss of the optimal portfolio is used Value at Risk. VaR is calculated based on monthly return from BBCA, LPKR, PGAS and SMGR during January 2008 until December 2013. Estimated VaR on 95% confidence level during 20 days holding period and the amount of investment allocation Rp 100,000,000.00 from the optimal portfolio for risk averter, moderate risk and risk taker respectively is Rp 50,706,000.00, Rp 54,618,000.00 and Rp 64,522,000.00

Abstract

ABSTRAKKopi robusta mengandung senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, kafein dan fenol. Senyawa fenol pada kopi memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan. Biji kopi robusta yang ditanam di  daerah  Bandung, Bogor dan Garut, Jawa Barat dikenal memiliki ciri dan citarasa berbeda yang khas dan unik. Perbedaan jumlah kandungan senyawa kimia dari suatu  tumbuhan  disebabkan  oleh  perbedaan  agroekologi (iklim dan  ketinggian tempat). Daerah Pangalengan (Bandung) memiliki ketinggian 817 mdpl, Cariu (Bogor) memiliki ketinggian 680 mdpl dan Cikeris (Garut) memiliki ketinggian 900 mdpl. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menentukan karakteristik fitokimia dan aktivitas antioksidan pada biji kopi robusta roasting yang ditanam di ketiga daerah tersebut. Karakteristik fitokimia dilakukan secara kualitatif dan aktivitas antioksidan dilakukan dengan metode DPPH  (2,2-difenil-1-pikrilhidrazil).  Hasil uji      karakteristik  fitokimia  menunjukkan bahwa  ekstrak  biji  kopi robusta  Bandung,  Bogor  dan  Garut  mengandung  senyawa alkaloid, flavanoid, saponin dan tanin. Ekstrak kopi robusta Bandung, Bogor dan Garut menunjukkan aktifitas antioksidan yang berbeda nyata berdasarkan hasil uji statistik analisis variansi dengan nilai IC50 masing-masing dicapai pada konsentrasi  55,13 ppm,56,48 ppm, dan 54,14 ppm. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak kopi robusta dari Garutmemiliki kadar antioksidan paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan aktifitas antioksidan dari kopi robusta Bandung dan Bogor.Kata kunci: Kopi robusta, aktifitas antioksidan, metode DPPH   THE PHYTOCHEMICAL CHARACTERISTIC AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF ROBUSTA COFFEE BEAN (Coffea canephora Pierre) FROM BANDUNG, BOGOR AND GARUT BY DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) METHOD ABSTRACTRobusta  coffee  contains  alkaloids,  flavonoids,  saponins,  tannins,  caffeine  andphenols. Phenol compounds in coffee have activity as an antioxidant. Robusta coffee beans grown in the area of Bandung, Bogor and Garut, West Java is known to have a unique characteristics and distinctive flavors. The difference in chemical characteristics of plant compounds  is caused by the agroecological differences (climate and altitude). Pangalengan area (Bandung) has a height of 817 AMSL, Cariu (Bogor) has a height of680 AMSL mdpl and Cikeris (Garut) has a height of 900 AMSL mdpl. The purpose ofthis study was to determine the phytochemical characteristics and antioxidant activity of robusta roasting coffee beans grown in these three areas. Phytochemical characteristics were performed qualitatively and antioxidant activity was performed by DPPH method (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl). The results of phytochemical characteristics test showed that the extract of robusta coffee bean from Bandung, Bogor and Garut contain alkaloid, flavanoid, saponin and tannin. The extract of robusta coffee from Bandung, Bogor and Garut showed significantly different antioxidant activity based on results of variance analysis statistical test with IC50 value of each achieved at concentrations of 55.13 ppm,56.48 ppm, and 54.14 ppm. It can be concluded that robusta coffee extract from Garut has the highest antioxidant level compared with antioxidant activity of robusta coffee from Bandung and Bogor.Keywords : Coffea canephora, antioxidant activity, DPPH method

Abstract

Biplot is a graphical representation of a data matrix. Garlic, onions, chili, and thai pepper are important plant in Indonesia because most people in Indonesia especially in Central Java consume garlic, onions, chili, and thai pepper every day. In this research, districts in Central Java seen characteristics are based on the productions of garlic, onions, chili, and thai pepper using biplot. There are highly correlation between chili and thai pepper, which means districts that have highly productions of chili will also tend to have highly production of thai pepper. There are some districts have the production of  garlic, onions, chili, and thai pepper relatively low, and there are some of the city has zero production of  garlic, onions, chili, and thai pepper.   Keywords: Biplot, Production of  garlic, onions, chili, thai pepper
