Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui respons pertumbuhan dan hasil sorgum terhadap jarak tanam dan waktu penyiangan gulma. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2014 hingga April 2015 di lahan percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara Medan dengan ketinggian 25 meter di atas permukaan laut. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Petak Terpisah Faktorial. Faktor pertama adalah jarak tanam (70 cm x 30 cm, 70 cm x 20 cm, 70 cm x 10 cm) dan faktor kedua adalah waktu penyiangan gulma (tanpa penyiangan, disiangi 2 minggu setelah tanam, disiangi 4 minggu setelah tanam, disiangi 6 minggu setelah tanam, disiangi 8 minggu setelah tanam, bebas gulma). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan jarak tanam meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, berat basah malai per sampel dan produksi biji per sampel sedangkan pada perlakuan waktu penyiangan gulma meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun umur, diameter batang, berat basah malai per sampel, berat basah malai per plot, produksi biji per sampel, produksi biji per plot, dan bobot 1000 biji. Abstract

Weeds are really making disadvantages on corn (Zea mays L.). Since they compete to obtain light, water and nutrient. The competition may occur in the beginning until the harvesting time. The aims of this research is to determinate the critical periode of weed control on corn (Zea mays L.). The present study was conducted at exfarming field of corn, Tanjung Sari, Medan selayang. Variable factor being observed were plant height, initiation time of flower,  dry weight of grain per sample, dry weight of grains per plot, weight of 100 corn grains, value harvesting indeks, height of weeds, dry weight of weeds and density of weeds. There were 12 treatments conducted, no weeds 2 week after planting : P1, no weeds 4 week after planting : P2, no weeds 6 week after planting : P3,  no weeds 8 week after planting : P4, no weeds 10 week after planting : P5, no weeds are found till the harvesting time : P6, weedy until 2 week after planting : P7, weedy until 4 week after planting : P8, weedy until 6 week after planting : P9, weedy until 8 week after planting : P10, weedy until 10 week after planting : P11, weedy until the harvesting time : P12. The treatment were arranged in a randomized block design with three replication. The result showed that the weeding time for corn has non significantly affected to the plant height, dry weight of grains per sample, value harvesting indeks and dry weight of grains per plot, but significantly affected to the weight of 100 grain of corn.The filed of research was dominated by Eleusine indica. The critical periode of corn was happened of 21 day after planting up to 28 days after planting. Key words: corn, critical periode, weed, weeding periode

Abstract

Weeds on oil palm plantations can also be the host of Basal Stem Rot caused by Ganoderma. This study aims to identify and analyze of weed vegetation using visual estimation and squares method as Ganoderma presence marker on oil palm plantations. This research was conducted in block 17, 16, and 6 of VII afdeling, Rambutan Estate in Serdang Bedagai Regency on December 2017 to March 2018. This research used survey method with visual estimation and squares. The data used is absolute density, relative density, absolute frequency, relative frequency, important value indeks, Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR) and dry weight. Data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software. The results showed that different weed species between oil palm was infected and uninfected by Ganoderma with visual estimation method is Cyclosorus aridus (14.78%) where as with squares method are Cyperus rotundus (10.60%), and Stenochlaena palustris (7.76%) with temperature range 28.67 to 30.80oC and moisture amount 60.67 to 77.33%.

Abstract

Abstract: Eleusine indica population from several estates in Padang Lawas and Tapanuli Selatan Regency, Sumatera Utara Indonesia has never been reported to be resistant to glyphosate herbicide. This study aims at distribution mapping and resistance classification of Eleusine indica glyphosate-resistant populations from several estates in Padang Lawas and Tapanuli Selatan Regency, Sumatera Utara. This research was conducted at Weed Research Center of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara from October 2016 to August 2017. This research used glyphosate at the recommended rate of 720 g ai ha-1 and three replications. Population ESU0 (from Politeknik Negeri Medan Ball Field) as a comparison. Data analysis using t-test at the level of 5% with IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software. The results showed 22 populations in Padang Lawas Regency have 8 populations classified as glyphosate-resistant (36.36%), 8 populations classified as developed-resistant (36.36%), and 6 populations classified as glyphosate-susceptible (27.27%). While from 6 populations in Tapanuli Selatan Regency have 5 populations classified as glyphosate-resistant (83.33%), 1 populations classified as developed-resistant (16.67%), and 0 populations classified as glyphosate-susceptible (0%). Keywords: glyphosate, goosegrass, oil palm plantation, resistance.

Abstract

This research was aimed to evaluation ability of several plants as phytoremediation of cadmium heavy metal. This research was conducted in experimental field, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara on March to May 2018. This research used non factorial randomized block design (RBD) with three replications. Treatment of Vetiveria zizanioides (T1), Cymbopogon nardus (T2), Curcuma xantorrhiza (T3), Cymbopogon citratus (T4), Pogostemon cablin (T5), and Alpinia galanga (T6) were given 3CdSO4.8H2O 100 ppm. The parameters include soil pH, root length (cm), fresh and dry weight of roots (g), fresh and dry weight of shoots (g), and total Cd uptake (ppm). The results showed that Cymbopogon nardus plant (T2) had ability to accumulate the highest of total Cd heavy metals amount 20.29 ppm, fresh weight of root (111.73%), dry weight of root (105.83%), root length (75.33 cm), fresh weight of shoot (60.89%), and dry weight of shoot (93.14%) compared to Cd unexposed. Scented lemongrass plants can be used as phytoremediation plants for heavy metal cadmium which has mechanism of phytoextraction or phytoaccumulation.

Abstract

The presence of Eleusine indica from oil palm plantations in Serdang Bedagai Regency has never been overall reported glyphosate-resistant. This study aims to distribution mapping and resistance classification of E. indica population to glyphosate herbicide of oil palm plantations in Serdang Bedagai Regency. This research was conducted on Weed Research Center Land in Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara in October 2016 to August 2017. This research used glyphosate herbicide with the recommended dose at 720 g ai ha-1 and three replications. Population ESU0 (from Politeknik Negeri Medan Ball Field) as a comparison. Data analysis using IBM SPSS Statistics 20 software. The results showed there E. indica population classified as glyphosate-resistant amount 89.36% (42 population), classified as glyphosate-resistant moderate amount 10,64% (5 population) and there is no population glyphosate-susceptible on oil palm plantations in Serdang Bedagai Regency of recommended dose at 720 g ai ha-1.

Abstract

Identification and antagonism test endophytic fungi of sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L.) to control bacterial vascular (Xanthomonas albilineans). This research aims to find potential endophytic fungi to against X. albilineans on sugarcane with use method autoclaving and membrane filtration sterilization. The research was conducted at Plant Disease Laboratory, Agroecotechnology Program Study, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan from April to December 2014. It was done by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) Factorial with three factor and three replications. The first factor were endophytic fungi 1, endophytic fungi 2. The second factor were dilution 10-1, 10-2, 10-3 dan 10-4. The three factor sterilization method were autoclaving and membrane filtration. The results showed all the endophytic fungi Aspergillus sp. better use  membrane filtration sterilization and Hormiscium sp. better use autoclaving sterilization. Both fungi are potentially as biological agents to control bacterial vascular wilt on sugarcane. The best results obtained on Hormiscium sp.with diameter of inhibiting zone 9,04 mm with use autoclaving sterilization. Keywords : Sugarcane, Saccharum officinarum, endophytic, fungi, sterilization.

Abstract

Penyakit busuk pangkal batang pada tanaman kelapa sawit di perkebunan yang disebabkan jamur ganoderma telah menyebabkan kerugian produksi tanaman. Kehadiran jamur ini diduga berasosiasi dengan vegetasi gulma yang berada dikebun, yang disebar melalui dengan spora dan miselianya.  Oleh karena itu untuk mendeteksi awal keberadaan jamur ganoderma diperlukan pendekataan vegetasi gulma dengan analisis hara Cu dan Zn. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keberadaan jamur ganoderma terhadap kadar hara Cu dan Zn pada vegetasi gulma yang dominan di perkebunan kelapa sawit. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di blok 17, 16, dan 6 Afdeling VII Kebun Rambutan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dan analisis daun di Laboratorium Analitik PT. Socfin Indonesia, Medan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Agustus 2018. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif analitik. Penelitian ini mengambil 3 jenis vegetasi gulma yang dominan (Cyperus rotundus, Cyclosorus aridus, dan Stenochlena palustris) kemudian dianalisis Cu dan Zn pada daun gulma. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diperoleh 3 jenis gulma dominan disekitar kebun kelapa sawit yaitu Cyperus rotundus, Cyclosorus aridus, dan Stenochlena palustris. Hasil analisis kadar Zn dan Cu pada daun dari ketiga jenis gulma dominan disekitar kelapa sawit terinfeksi jamur ganoderma lebih rendah dibandingkan tanpa terinfeksi, kecuali pada gulma Stenochlena palustris kadar Cu lebih tinggi. Selisih persentase kadar Zn dan Cu pada daun gulma Cyperus rotundus, Cyclosorus aridus, dan Stenochlena palustris disekitar kelapa sawit terinfeksi dibandingkan tanpa terinfeksi jamur ganoderma masing-masing Zn adalah -42,72%; -43,92% dan -1,70% dan Cu masing-masing -27,13%; -25,80% dan +34,34%. Defisiensi kadar hara Cu dan Zn pada daun gulma diareal piringan maupun gawangan mati pada perkebunan kelapa sawit berpengaruh pada perkembangan spora ganoderma.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Berbasis WEB merupakan pengolahan data yang dijalankan oleh sebuah perusahaan. Tanpa adanya sistem informasi berbasis web suatu kegiatan perusahaan maka perusahaan tersebut akan ketinggalan di dalam mengikuti kemajuan dunia teknologi, untuk itu keberadaan sistem informasi berbasis web sangat menopang kemajuan suatu perusahaan. Dalam hal penyajian sistem informasi dapat mengakses sega informasi yang diperlukan guna mengikuti perkembangan perusahaan. Dimana suatu sistem informasi merupakan sistem komunikasi data yang dengan informasi data tujuan. Selain itu, sistem ini juga mempermudah serta mempercepat akses terhadap informasi, data serta pengolahannya. Abstract

AbstrakPermainan Play Station saat ini banyak digemari kawula muda baik dari anak-anak sampai dewasa. Sehingga bermunculan tempat-tempat PlayStation dari yang berskala kecil hingga besar dengan tarif yang bervariasi. Playstation adalah konsol permainan grafts dari era 32-bit. Pertama kali diproduksi oleh Sony sekitar tahun 1990. PlayStation diluncurkan perdana di Jepang pada 3 Desember 1994, di Amerika Serikat 9 September 1995 dan Eropa 29 September 1995. PlayStation menjadi sangat terkenal sehingga membentuk "Generasi PlayStation". Dari sekian banyak game PlayStation, beberapa yang terkenal adalah: Tomb Raider, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Tekken, Winning Eleven, Ridge Racer, wipEout, Gran Turismo, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, dan seri Metal Gear Solid. Sistem operasi yang digunakan selama proses pembuatan program adalah sistem operasi Microsoft Windows XP. Sedangkan perangkat lunak yang digunakan untuk sistem perhitungan durasi PlayStation adalah bahasa pemograman Delphi 5.0. Catu daya yang terdiri dari beberapa komponen elektronika seperti trafo, dioda, kapasitor elektrolit dan IC regulator dirangkai menjadi satu. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengukuran terhadap besar tegangan keluar dari dioda. Tegangan yang keluar dari dioda sudah merupakan IX! mumi karena adanya kapasitor 1000 n-F / 35 volt dengan nilai ± 19 VDC.Kata Kunci : Play Station, Bahasa Pemograman, Catu Daya
