Abstract

Kota Palembang terdiri dari 16 kecamatan, penelitian ini dibatasi dengan 8 kecamatan yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan lokasi Unit Gawat Darurat pada rumah sakit. Adapun 8 kecamatan yang akan diteliti, yaitu Kecamatan Alang-Alang Lebar, Kecamatan Bukit Kecil, Kecamatan Gandus, Kecamatan Ilir Barat I, Kecamatan Ilir Barat II, Kecamatan Kertapati, Kecamatan Seberang Ulu I dan Kecamatan Ilir Timur I. Pengoptimalan ini menggunakan empat model covering based yang meliputi Maximal Covering Location Problem (MCLP), Location Set Covering Problem (LSCP), P-Median Problem dan P-Center Problem dengan menggunakan Lingo 13.0 software. Hasil perhitungan menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat 5 lokasi Unit Gawat Darurat agar dapat melayani 8 kecamatan yang ada. Penyelesaian menggunakan empat model covering based tersebut memberikan hasil sebaiknya lokasi Unit Gawat Darurat dibangun di Kecamatan Alang-Alang Lebar, Kecamatan Gandus, Kecamatan Ilir Barat I, Kecamatan Ilir Barat II dan Kecamatan Kertapati.

Abstract

The development of the internet in this era of globalization has increased fast. The need for internet becomes unlimited. Utility functions as one of measurements in internet usage, were usually associated with a level of satisfaction of users for the use of information services used. There are three internet pricing schemes used, that are flat fee, usage based and two-part tariff schemes by using one of the utility function which is Bandwidth Diminished with Increasing Bandwidth with monitoring cost and marginal cost. Internet pricing scheme will be solved by LINGO 13.0 in form of non-linear optimization problems to get optimal solution. The optimal solution is obtained using the either usage-based pricing scheme model or two-part tariff pricing scheme model for each services offered, if the comparison is with flat-fee pricing scheme. It is the best way for provider to offer network based on usage based scheme. The results show that by applying two part tariff scheme, the providers can maximize its revenue either for homogeneous or heterogeneous consumers.

Abstract

This paper will analyze new improved charging scheme with base price, quality premium and QoS networks involved. Sain and Herpers [5] already attempted to obtain revenue maximization by creating charging scheme of internet. The plan is attempted to solve multiple service networks scheme as an optimization model to obtain revenue maximization using our improved model based on [2] and [5]. Abstract

Abstract

Previous research only focus on maximizing revenue for pricing strategies for information good with regardless the marginal and monitoring costs. This paper aims to focus on the addition of marginal and monitoring costs into the pricing strategies to maintain the maximal revenue while introduce the costs incurred in adopting the strategies. The well-known utility functions applied to also consider the consumer’s satisfaction towards the service offered. The results show that the addition costs incurred for setting up the strategies can also increase the profit for the providers rather than neglecting the costs. It is also showed that the Cobb-Douglas utility functions used can enhance the notion of provider to optimize the revenue compared to quasi linear and perfect substitutes.

Abstract

This paper discussed the new improved and modified internet pricing scheme in multiservice networks [1]. This new improved scheme is created to set up the  base price, quality premium and Quality of service (QoS). This scheme has the purposes to help Internet Service Provider (ISP) in maximizing the revenue and contribute better quality of service to the users. The objective function will be formed to set up the base price and quality premium as a vaiable or a constant. The models used are in nonlinear forms and solved by using LINGO 11.0 to get the optimal solution. The results show that for each cases of improved scheme, ISP gets better optimal solutions by varying or fixing the base price and quality premium.

Abstract

The greater numbers of internet users the greater challenge will be tackled by ISP to provide good services but gain maximum profit. By analyzing Cobb-Douglass utility function we will obtain optimal pricing scheme. Wu and Banker analyzed modified Cobb-douglass utility function and obtained optimal model of flat fee and two part tariff for homogen consumers meanwhile we focus on getting optimal pricing scheme model by using original Cobb-Douglass utility function. The first step to conduct this research is by formulating Cobb-Douglass utility function then analyzing that function. The results show that we obtain optimal pricing scheme model for homogenous and heterogeneous consumer cases. The two-part tariff pricing scheme yield better optimal solution rather than flat fee and two-part tariff pricing scheme regarding with homogen consumers and heterogen consumers based on willingness to pay. For heterogeneous consumers based on consumption level, the optimal pricing scheme is on two-part tariff pricing scheme.

Abstract

The activity of rubbish transportation in Palembang is one of the applications of Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) in transporting rubbish in Sako Palembang by applying preprocessing and probing techniques to obtain simplest OCVRP model. The solution is conducted by using LINDO software. The results show that the optimal routes in Sukarami before and after applying the tehniques are the same routes. In addition, we obtain the reduction of constraints and variables, the reduction of iteration numbers and the optimal value did not change.

Abstract

Rubbish transportation activities in Palembang can be considered as one of the application of Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP). We call it Symmetric Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (SCVRP) since we allow two way direction routes. We focus on rubbish transportation of Kecamatan Ilir Barat II Palembang, one of the biggest districts in Palembang to be simplified using preprocessing techniques to achieve simpler SVCRP model. This technique can simplify the model through some stages such as strengthening the bounds of constraint, eliminating redundant variables or fixing the variables [1]. The results show that preprocessing techniques can create simpler SCVRP formulation and easily solve the problem with aid of optimization tool.

Abstract

In this study is established model of pricing scheme internet multi link bottleneck in multi service network to determine the modified model and its solution. Modification of this model is based on a local server data. As an Internet Service Provider (ISP), the ISP requires a new pricing scheme in maximizing revenue and provides better quality service to internet users. Model established by setting up the base price as variable and premium quality service as variable and constant. The model used is solved by using software LINGO 11.0 to obtain the optimal solution. The results obtained show that ISP can adopt the form of the model to generate maximum revenue and give the option settings on the ISP internet fee in accordance with the desired destination ISP. The optimal solution obtained from modified model is maximum ISP’s revenue reached. Maximum ISP’s revenue is obtained on base price(α) and premium quality service (β) as variable for Ii= Ii-1. ISP can use that scheme to reach their goal.Keyword : Pricing Scheme Internet, Multi Link Bottleneck, Multi Service Network.
