Abstract

AbstractThe study aims to know how well the effectiveness of the use Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model with handout on the students learning result in grade XIth of MAN 2 Pontianak on nervous system sub material. The research design was conducted through quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used saturated sampling with the samples are XI MIPA 2 as control class and XI MIPA 3 as experiment class. Handouts was validated and analyzed by using the Gregory formula with the result is 1.00 (very high criteria).  Scores of the students learning outcomes taught by using Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model with handout is 15.54, higher than the score of students learning outcomes taught by using conventional learning model which only 13.77. After the U Mann-Whitney test, it is known that Zcount<Ztable (-4.06 <- 1.96) means that there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class at the 5% level. Based on the calculation of effect size, the score is 0.84 (high criteria), and from the normal curve standard, the learning by using Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative learning model with handout contributes 29.96% to the students learning outcomes.Keywords: Eeffectiveness,Level of Validity, Think Talk Write (TTW), Handouts, Nerves System

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aims to find out the effect of picture and picture cooperative model on the learning outcomes in material of ecosystems in class VII of SMPN 2 Kembayan. This research used quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. Research samples were class VII C as the experimental class and VII B as the control class, with a sampling technique of intact group. The instrument used  the multiple choice test with a total of 20 questions. The average learning outcomes in the experimental class was 13.79, while the control group was 12.34. The results of the t test analysis showed that tcount > ttable namely 2.20 > 1.67, this means that there are significant differences between the learning outcomes of students taught using Picture and Picture cooperative  model and the learning outcomes of students taught using a conventional learning model. The effect size obtained 0.62 in the moderate category and gave the contribution 23.24%  of student learning outcomesKeywords: Picture and Picture cooperative model, learning outcomes, material of ecosystem

Abstract

 AbstractThe study aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning model of numbered heads together (NHT) assisted flipbook on student learning outcomes in the material of the human circulatory system in class VIII of SMPN 14 Pontianak. The study used Quasi ekperimental Design with nonequivalent control group design. The sampel of the study consisted of two classes : class VIII H as an experimental group and class VIII I as a control group. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The instrumen used were 20 multiple choice questions. The average score of the experimental group?s learning outcome was 14,57 while that of control group?s learning outcome was 13,74. The test result of U Mann Whitney showed Zcount < Ztable (-2,13 < - 1,96) which means that there is a discrepancy in learning outcomes of students who were taught with cooperative learning of numbered heads together (NHT) assisted flipbook and those who are taught with conventional model. Through calculation of effect size, cooperative learning model of numbered heads together (NHT) assisted flipbook gave an impact 14,80% on learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMPN 14 Pontianak.  Keywords: cooperative model of numbered heads together, the human circulatory system,  learning outcome.

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the feasibility of excretion system module for 8th grade junior high school. The research used descriptive method with survey form. Research instrument used is sheet validation. Feasibility assessment of the module is obtained through validity test by 5 examiners. Validity test including presentation aspect, gradability, content and language. The average value of each aspects are 3,78; 3,56; 3,63; and 3,6. From the result of module validation, the obtained average value is 3,64 which categorised as valid. It is concluded that the module is feasible to use as teaching material of excretion system for 8th grade junior high school.Keywords: Feasibility, Modul, Material Excretion System

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui validitas Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) berbasis multimedia pada sub materi Invertebrata sebagai bahan ajar dan mendeskripsikan respon siswa SMA Negeri Pontianak terhadap LKS berbasis multimedia pada sub materi Invertebrata. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 286 siswa kelas X MIA dari delapan SMA Negeri di kota Pontianak. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup beralasan. Validitas LKS berbasis multimedia diukur melalui uji validitas oleh 10 orang validator yang terdiri atas 1 orang validator ahli media dan 9 orang validator ahli materi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS berbasis multimedia pada sub materi Invertebrata dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dengan nilai rata-rata validasi ahli media sebesar 3,01 dan validasi ahli materi sebesar 3,6. Analisis angket menunjukkan bahwa respon siswaterhadap LKS berbasis multimedia pada sub materi Invertebrata adalah positif dengan rata-rata persentase sebesar 77,36%. Abstract: This study aimed to determine the validity of multimedia-based Student Worksheet (SW) on sub material of Invertebrate as a teaching material and described the responses of state high school students in Pontianak toward multimedia-based SW on sub material of Invertebrate. The method used was descriptive method in the form of a survey. Subjects in this study were 286 students of class X MIA from eight state high schools in Pontianak. The research instrument used was a closed questionnaire with reason. Validity of multimedia-based SW was measured through validity test by 10 validators as 1 media expert and 9 material experts. The result showed that multimedia-based SW on sub material of Invertebrate is valid to be used as a teaching material with an average of 3,01 for media expert validation and 3,60 for material expert validation. The analysis of  questionnaire indicated that students? responds toward multimedia-based SW on sub material of Invertebrate were positive with an average percentage of 77,36%. Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model Team Games Tournament (TGT) toward students learning outcomes on blood circulation system in class VIII SMP Koperasi Pontianak. The research was quasi experimental design. The research done in class VIII A and VIII B year 2010/2011 with 42 students VIII A and 40 students VIII B, class VIII A as experiment and VIII B as control. The research divided into two sessions. Instruments form was 20 item multiple choice. The result of the research shown the average post-test score of experiment class was 13,25 and control class was 11,74. Mann Whitney test result with significant ?=5% obtain Zscore< Ztable -3,56< 1,96. It can conclude that was a learning outcomes difference between students teach use cooperative learning model TGT and student teach use conventional learning model on blood circulation system in class VIII SMP Koperasi Pontianak. Keywords: Effectiveness, TGT Learning Model, Learning Outcomes, Blood Circulation System

Abstract

AbstractThis study is aimed at identifying the students of Plantae class X MAN Sambas. The research method used is descriptive method with survey research form. The  populatin in this research is the students of class XI MAN Sambas which consists of class XI MIA, XI IIS, and XI IIK. Subjects in this study were 34 students of class XI MIA MAN Sambas. The procedure in this research consists of three phase, the preparation phase, the implementation phase, and the final phase. The research instrument used is a questionnaire. The questionnaire fron in this study is a closed questionnaire. Response assessment consists of two criteria: responses and reactions. The response criterion consists of two aspects: format and relevance. While the reaction criteria consists of three aspects: attention, satisfaction and confidence. The questionnaire consists of 20 statements with 10 positive  statements and 10 negative statements. The questionnaire analysis shows that the students responded positively to the documentary on Plantae material with the average percentage of 83.84%.Keywords: Students' responses, Documentary film, Plantae

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine the responses of students to the human excretion system module on learning biology class XI SMA. The form of research is descriptive research with survey method. The sample in this research are the students of class XI SMA consisting of 31 students of class XI MIPA 3 in SMA Negeri 1 Pontianak, 35 students of class XI MIPA 1 in SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak, and 38 students of class XI MIPA 1 in SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. Instruments are used a student response questionnaire to find out the student's response to the human excretion system module. The response of students classified into three category, namely responses that are cognitive, affective and conative. The students will response questionnaire consists of 14 statements, 7 positive statements and 7 negative statements. The cognitive response reached an average score of 82.1% in very strong categories, affective responses achieved an average percentage of 80% in the strong category, and the conative response reached an average percentage of 76.8 % in strong category. It can be concluded that student?s responses are very strong in the cognitive response category, whereas in the affective and conative responses categories are strong.Keywords: Modules, Student?s Responses, Human Excretion Systems

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aimed to know the response of students to comic learning media on ecology material in class X SMA. The research method apply in this research is descriptive research. The descriptive research used in this research is the survey. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The subject of this study is 130 students of grade X SMA from four senior high schools in Pontianak. The research instrument used is a closed questionnaire. The student response questionnaire consists of 2 aspects, namely the response and reaction aspects. The criteria of response consists of five indicators are format, relevance, interest, satisfaction, and confident. This research is done by giving comic learning media  followed by giving response questionnaire to the students. The analysis of the questionnaire shows that the average value of student response on the response aspect is 73.4% while the reaction aspect is 74.4%. %. It can be concluded that the average percentage of student response is 73,9% and categorized strong. Keywords: Ecological material, comic learning media, student response.

Abstract

This research is aimed to determine the students’ response toward the learning media usage by the Biology science teacher in Kendawangan. Descriptive of case study is used as the research method. The population of this research are the students of SMPN 1 Kendawangan, SMPN 3 Kendawangan, SMPN 4 Kendawangan, MTs. At-Taqwa Kendawangan, and SMKN 1 Kendawangan. The sample amount is about 56 students of SMPN 1 Kendawangan, 16 students of SMPN 3 Kendawangan, 6 students of SMPN 4 Kendawangan, 20 students of MTs. At-Taqwa Kendawangan, and 20 students of SMKN 1 Kendawangan. Indirect communication is used as the technique of data collecting. Meanwhile, the tool of data collecting is questionnaire. The result shows that the students’ response toward the learning media usage applied by the Biology science teacher in SMKN 1 and SMPN 1 Kendawangan is high, while in SMPN 3, SMPN 4, and MTs. At- Taqwa is very high. It is concluded that the students like the learning media usage by the teacher very much. Keywords: Students’ response, learning media
