Abstract

The objective of this research was to study shoot architecture in relation to growth, increase production and seed oil content through various stem pruning and number of primary branches. This research was conducted using Randomized Complete Block Design with single factor. It consisted of ten treatments, i.e., K=kontrol, T20= height of stem pruning at 20 cm from soil and without control on number of primary branches, T20-2=height of stem pruning at 20 cm from soil and two primary branches, T20-3= height of stem pruning at 20 cm and three primary branches, T30= height of stem pruning at 30 cm and without control on number of primary branches, T30-2= height of stem pruning at 30 cm and two primary branches, T30-3=height of stem pruning 30 cm and three primary branches, T40=height of stem pruning at 40 cm and without control on number of  primary branches, T40-2=height of stem pruning at 40 cm and two primary branches, and T40-3=height of stem pruning 40 cm and three primary branches. The results showed that stem pruning increased number of primary branches. The highest seed oil content and seed production was achieved T40 and T30-3 treatments i.e., 323.81 g/plant or 0.810 ton/ha and 320.61 g/plant or 0.802 ton/ha with seed oil yield 244.56 kg/ha and 276.61 kg/ha, respectively.   Key words : Jatropha curcas L., seed oil content, pruning, primary branches

Abstract

  The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of extract of leaves, seed and root of physic nut on the germination of corn, tomato, and upland rice. Research was conducted by using Complete Randomized Block Design with two factors, i.e., plant organ (leaves, seed and root) and species (corn, tomato and upland rice). The results showed that extract of 36 g dried organ/200 ml water (0.18 g/ml water) affected seed germination of corn, tomato, and upland rice. Extract of leaves tended to reduce percentage of corn seed germination (55.30% vs 70.68%), and extract of root to reduce germination of tomato and upland rice, 52.70% and 68.67%, compared to control 76% and 84%, respectively.   Key words:  Plant organ extract, physic nut, germination

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the morphology and physiology of jatropha leaves and its relation to photosynthesis. Research was conducted using Randomized Complete Block Design with single factor, i.e., leaf ages at the canopy with ten replications. The results showed that jatropha had phyllotaxy 5/13 with angular divergence 1380 . In early growing leaf enlarged sharply and then constant after 9 week, remaining green for 14 weeks. Chlorophyll a, b, and total achieved maximum at 9 week, i.e., 0.45 g/cm2 , 0.19 g/cm2 , and 0.62 g/cm2 , respectively. Photosynthesic rate was maximum at 6 week, i.e., 8.99 µmol/m2 /s, while number of stomata was maximum at 9 week (289.47 mm2 ). This finding implies that leaf number 11 to 13 or age 6 week after emergence could be used as reference for photosynthetic evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth and productivity of low land rice, Inpari 14 variety managed under the integrated farming system (PTT) and to conduct its feasibility analysis with the same system.  The research used Randomized Block Design (RBD) non factorial consisting of 9 treatments and 3 replications.  The treatments used, namely: control (?square? style of plant spacing 20cm x 20cm, transplanting 17 days after sowing, 3 seedlings per planting hole, and no manure); PTT 1 (square plant spacing 20cm x 20cm, transplanting 15 days after sowing, one seedling per planting hole, and 1 t ha-1 manure); PTT 2 (?legowo style? of plant spacing of 2:1, transplanting 15 days after sowing, planting one seedling per planting hole, and 1 t ha-1 manure); PTT 3 (square plant spacing of 20cm x 20cm, transplanting 15 days after sowing, 2 seedlings, and 1 t ha-1 manure); PTT 4 (legowo spacing of 2:1, transplanting 15 days after sowing, planting 2 seeds per planting hole, and 1 t ha-1 manure); PTT 5 (square planting spacing of 20cm x 20cm, transplanting 15 days after sowing, planting one seed per planting hole , and 2 t ha-1 manure); PTT 6 (legowo spacing 2:1, transplanting 15 days after sowing, planting one seed per planting hole, and 2 t ha-1 manure); PTT 7 (square planting spacing of 20cm x 20cm, transplanting 15 days after sowing, 2 seeds per planting hole, and 2 t ha-1 manure), and PTT 8 (legowo spacing of 2:1, transplanting 15 days after sowing, 2 seeds per planting hole, and 2 t ha-1 manure).  Results showed that an increase in production of 0.9 t ha-1 or 17.33 percent of the rice attained by PTT 8 treatment compared to the control with each production 5.25 t ha-1 and 4.34 t ha-1.  There were trends that the dried husk rice results ha-1 of legowo cropping systems, namely PTT 2 (4.96 t ha-1), PTT 4 (5.21 t ha-1) , PTT 6 (4.13 t ha-1), and PTT 8 (5.25 t ha-1) had a higher yield than the PTT tile systems treatment, namely PTT 1 (3.18 t ha-1); PTT3 ( 4.13 t ha-1); PTT 5 (4.17 t ha-1), and PTT 7 (4.19 t ha-1).  The PTT 8 treatment gave profit per hectare of Rp. 16,171,057 (Sixteen Million One Hundred Seventy One Thousand Fifty Seven Rupiah) that was higher compared to control of Rp. 13,002,557 (Thirteen Million Two Thousand Five Hundred Fifty Seven Rupiah)                                          that mean the PTT 8 treatment provided increased revenue by 20%

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the effect of POC and AB Mix on the growth and yield of pakchoy. This research was conducted in February and March 2016. Starting from seeding to harvest. Research located in the village Sepakat, District Tenggarong Seberang, Kutai Kartanegara. The study used a randomized block design (RAK) with factorial analysis 2 with repetition as much as (3). The treatment is a liquid organic fertilizer (P), which consists of 4 levels, namely p0 (control), p1 (5 ml POC L-1 water), p2 (10 ml POC L-1 water), p3 (15 ml POC L-1 water) and provision of AB Mix (N), which consists of 4 levels, namely n0 (control), n1 (AB Mix 600 ppm), n2 (AB Mix 1,200 ppm), n3 (AB Mix 1,800 ppm). The results showed that treatment of liquid organic fertilizer results showed no significant effect on all parameters but treatment provision Mix AB showed a highly significant effect on all parameters with results of the highest weight at treatment plants n3 (AB Mix 1,800 ppm).Keyword : Hydroponik, pakchoy, AB mix

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat perkembangan  wilayah untuk pembangunan pertanian berbasis komoditas unggulan di kabupaten kutai kartanegara. Penelitian menggunakan metode analisis skalogram,  analisis sentralitas, dan analisis komoditas unggulan dan andalan, dengan dukungan data sekunder dan data primer dari berbagai sumber. Sesuai hasil analisis disimpulkan; a) Pembangunan pertanian berbasis wilayah dibangun melalui tiga zona yaitu zona hulu berpusat di Kecamatan Kota Bangun, zona tengah berpusat di Kecamatan Tenggarong, dan zona pantai berpusat di Kecamatan Muara Jawa; dan b) Pembangunan pertanian dilaksanakan dalam 3 tahap, yaitu tahap pertumbuhan (tahap 1), tahap pengembangan (tahap 2), dan tahap pemantapan (tahap 3). Tahap 1 adalah penguatan on-farm didukung pengembangan industri hulu. Tahap 2 dan 3 fokus pada pengembangan industri hilir (off-farm) dan perluasan investasi pembangunan industri penunjang didukung oleh kegiatan on-farm; c) Komoditas unggulan di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara antara lain : padi sawah, jagung dan singkong (tanaman pangan); kelapa sawit dan karet (tanaman perkebunan); sapi potong, kambing, ayam kampung, ayam pedaging dan ayam petelur (peternakan); dan perikanan laut, tambak, dan keramba (perikanan); dan d) Pembangunan pertanian berbasis wilayah akan mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara yaitu meningkatkan kelestarian lingkungan melalui konservasi tanah, air dan tanaman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi komoditas unggulan sektor pertanian di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut ada tujuh kriteria yang dijadikan dasar penilaian, yaitu kesesuaian lahan, dominasi pengusahaan, tingkat produktivitas wilayah (nilai relatif produktivitas komoditas), keunggulan komparatif, keunggulan kompetitif, perdagangan komoditas antar wilayah, dan keterkaitan produk ke depan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di 8 kecamatan dan analisis data dilakukan secara deskripsi kuantitatif menggunakan skor 1 sampai 5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa padi sawah, padi ladang, jagung, ubi kayu, ubi jalar, kacang tanah dan kedelei merupakan komoditas unggulan tanaman pangan, sementara itu komoditas ungggulan sayuran adalah ketimun, kacang panjang, sawi, semangka, kangkung, cabe rawit, bayam, terung dan tomat. Komoditas unggulan buah-buahan adalah rambutan, pisang, durian, nangka, sukun, nenas, papaya, dan mangga, Sementara itu komoditas unggulan perkebunan meliputi karet, kopi, kelapa, kelapa sawit, lada, dan kakao Komoditas unggulan peternakan adalah karbau, ayam buras, itik, sapi, kambing, dan ayam potong. Sedangkan komoditas komoditas unggulan perikanan, yaitu tambak, perikanan laut, kolam, keramba dan perairan umum. Komoditas unggulan tersebut tersebar di 8 kecamatan dan masing-masing kecamatan memiliki tiga komoditas unggulan.

Abstract

Kegiatan pembangunan bidang pertanian di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara perlu dievaluasi dalam rangka mengetahui kinerja pembangunan pertanian yang telah dilaksanakan sekaligus untuk pengambilan kebijakan pengembangan pertanian ke depan yang lebih baik. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pembangunan pertanian di Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara tahun 2014. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis diskriftif kualitatif-kuantitatif, analisis komofitas unggulan, analisis statistika, dan analisis stakeholder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sumbangan sektor pertanian terhadap PDRB Kutai Kartanegara pada tahun 2013 cukup tinggi dibanding sektor lainnya yaitu mencapai 13,84 % (tanpa migas) dan dengan migas sekitar 7,50 %. Hal yang sama dengan PDRB perkapita juga cukup tinggi dan menduduki urutan kedua dibandingkan dengan kabupaten/kota lainnya di Kalimantan Timur, yaitu sebesar Rp 190.250.000,- pada tahun 2013. Sumberdaya manusia di sektor pertanian cukup besar yaitu sekitar 30,25 % atau sekitar (207.330 jiwa dari seluruh penduduk Kutai Kartanegara. Nilai Tukar Petani (NTP) dan Nilai Tukar Nelayan (NTN) pada tahun 2013 rata-rata di atas dari nilai 100, kecuali perikanan budidaya. Komoditas padi sawah, jagung, ubi kayu, kelapa sawit, karet, lada, sapi, ayam, perikanan laut, keramba dan tambak merupakan komoditas unggulan daerah. Khusus untuk padi sawah, luas panen mencapai 37.113 Ha dengan produksi sebesar 189.393 ton. Dari produksi tersebut, daerah ini surplus beras sebesar 37.815,60 ton atau 60.311.97 ton GKG.Key Word : Evaluasi, Pembangunan, Pertanian

Abstract

The study is aimed to know the effect of liquid organic fertilizer, given toward of orchicidaceae cattleya growth. The study was arranged by complate randomized design: non factorial. By OFL treatment (coconut water and water of rice washing) was repeated three times. The treatmant of (OFL) was consisted of 10 level k0 (Without Liquid Organic Fertilizer), k1 (coconut water 2,5 ml L-1 water), k2 (coconut water 5,0 ml L-1 water), k3 ( coconut water 7,5 ml L-1 water), b4 (water of rice washing 2,5 ml L-1 water), b5 (water of rice washing 5,0 ml L-1 water), b6 (water of rice washing 7,5 ml L-1 water), kb7 (coconut water 2,5 ml L-1 + water of rice washing 5,0 ml L-1 water), kb8 (coconut water 5,0 ml L-1 + water of rice washing 5,0 ml L-1 water), and kb9 (coconut water 7,5 ml L-1 + water of rice washing 7,5 ml L-1 water).The result of this study showed that OFL treatment didnt give an effect to the avarege, number of high plants, and number of leaves at the age of days 25, 35, 45, and 55 after planting period. The unreal effect was on the paremeter of roots number at the age of days 25, 35, 45, and 55 after planting period. Meanwhile, the POC treatmen gave an real effect to the avareg of roots number at the age of days 45 after planting period.Keywords: Growth, Orchid, Liquid organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan pH, C/N rasio, unsur hara makro dan unsur hara mikro Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) asal limbah pasar dengan menggunakan MOL ikan. Metode penelitian dilaksanakan secara deskriptif dengan hanya membandingkan peubah yang diamati antara sistem fermentasi aerob dan anaerob. Peubah yang diamati adalah pH, C/N rasio, N-total, P2O5, K2O, Catotal, Mg, S, Fe, Mn, Co, Cu, B, dan Zn. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk organik cair yang difermentasi aerob memiliki pH (5.14) dan N-Total (0,02 %) lebih tinggi dibandingkan anaerob, sebaliknya sistem fermentasi anaerob memberikan nilai kandungan bahan kimia atau unsur hara yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kondisi aerob pada peubah C/N rasio (22,14), C/N rasio (4,19%), P2O5 (0,0095%), Ca-Total (86,695 ppm), Mg (520.6 ppm), dan S (700,00 ppm). Sementara itu K2O merupakan unsur hara yang memiliki nilai 0,051% yang sama antara kondisi aerob maupun anaerob.Key word : Mol ikan, aerob, anaerob, POC
