Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the effect of Tiens Golden Harvest (TGH) fertilizer concentration and the varieties on growth and yield of Roselle, and also to examine the interaction between the two factors. The research was conducted in the Experimental field of Agriculture Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Darussalam Banda Aceh, from June 2010 to November 2010. The material used was Roselle seed varieties, manure, TGH, using Factorial Randomized Block Design 4 x 2 in three replications. The first factor used was TGH fertilizer concentration (i.e. 0;5;10;15 ml/l) and the second factor was Roselle varieties (Sabdariffa and Altissima). So, we were conducted 8 combinations of treatments which were designed into 24 units of experiments. The concentration of TGH fertilizer significantly effect on plant height on 15 and 30 days after planting (DAP), the diameter of the base plant?s stem on 15 DAP, the number of calyx per plant and the weight of calyx without seeds per plant for 5 times harvest. The best growth and yield of Roselle plant result was found in using TGH 10 ml/l of water. After 5 times harvest, using 10 ml/l TGH we got 54.93 calyx/plant with 43.33 dry weights. Variety significantly effect on the plant length on 15 and 50 DAP, the diameter of the stem on 15 and 50 DAP, and Roselle calyx fresh weight for 5 times harvest. The growth and yield of Altissima variety on this experiment was better than Sabdariffa variety. For 5 times harvest of Altissima variety, the number of calyces per plant was 46.47, the fresh weight was 457.60 g and dry weight was 39.09 g. There was a significant interaction between TGH fertilizer concentration and Roselle varieties on the stem diameter 50 DAP and the fresh weight of calyx. The best growth and yield of Roselle showed on the application of 10 ml/l TGH fertilizer to Altissima variety, with total fresh weight calyx was 457 g.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi sifat agro-morfologi dan mengidentifikasi plasma nutfah padi local Aceh yang dapat beradaptasi baik pada tanah masam. Jumlah aksesi yang dievaluasi adalah 33 aksesi. Tinggi bibit pada umur 15 Hari Setelah Tanam dari varietas yang dievaluasi berkisar dari 20-40 cm. Jumlah anakan pada fase bibit berkisar antara 1 sampai 6 anakan. Tanaman terpendek yang mempunyai tinggi 90 cm adalah Kuku Balam 1 dan Tuwoti, sedangkan tanaman yang berbatang tinggi adalah Rangan dan Dupa, masing-masing secara berturut-turut mencapai 156 dan 151 cm. Warna pangkal batang umumnya hijau dan berwarna ungu serta ungu bergaris, varietas yang memiliki pangkal batang ungu adalah Cirata, Sirias, Ramos, Tition, sedangkan yang ungu bergaris adalah Cantek Puteh. Hasil uji toleransi plasma nutfah padi Aceh pada tanah masam diperoleh 9 aksesi varietas local Aceh toleran (skor 1-3). Varietas tersebut adalah Sikuneng, Leukat Jeurejak, Sambei, Bo Santeut, Leukat Adang, Itam Tangke, Pade Kapai, dan Lekat Panah. Varietas yang tergolong peka adalah Kuku Balam 1, Kuku Balam 2, Sigudang, Situ Bagendit, Cirata, Rasi Putih, Bo Padang, Danau Gaung, Limboti, Kepala Gajah Kinco, Pineung, Bo Rayek, Sirias, dan Ramos Tition.Characterization of Aceh Rice Germplasm for Developing Adapted Variety in Acid SoilsABSTRACT. The aims of this work were to make a morpho-agronomic characterization and to identify of the Aceh rice germplasm with a good adapted in acid soils. The total accession rice for evaluation were 33 varieties. The higher of seedling for evaluation were approximately 20-40 cm after 15 days planting. The number of tiller were 1-6 tillers. Kuku Balam-1 and Towoti variety showed 90 cm short plants, whereas Rangan and Dupa variety tallest which have been 156 and 151 respectively. Generally, the color of starting point was green, purple or purple with lines. The purple starting point were Cirata, Sirias, and Ramos Tition. Cantek Puteh variety was purple?s lines variety. The Aceh rice germplasm showed that 9 variety were tolerant to acid soils (skor 1-3). That variety were Sikuneng, Leukat Jeureujak, Sambei, Bo Santeut, Leukat Adang, Itam Tangke, Pade Kapai, and Leukat Panah. The sensitive variety were Kuku Balam-1, Kuku Balam-2, Sigudang, Situ Bagendit, Cirata, Rasi Putih, Bo Padang, Danau Gaung, Lomboto, Kepala Gajah Kinco, Pineung, Bo Rayek, Sirias, and Ramos Tition.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh beberapa jenis pupuk dan mulsa serta interaksinya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai merah. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Lampuuk sejak Februari sampai Juli 2007. Faktor pertama adalah jenis pupuk, yaitu: pupuk kandang 20 ton ha-1, pupuk NPK phonska 600 kg ha-1, dan campuran pupuk urea 200 kg ha-1, SP-36 kg ha-1, dan KCl 150 kg ha-1, sedangkan faktor kedua jenis mulsa, yaitu: plastic hitam perak, jerami padi, dan sekam padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan cabai merah lebih baik apabila diberikan pupuk kandang. Mulsa sekam padi dapat meningkatkan jumlah buah per tanaman (200.85 buah) dan bobot buah tertinggi (380.33 g). Pertumbuhan dan hasil cabai merah terbaik adalah apabila diberikan mulsa sekam padi.The Effect of Some Fertilizers and Mulches on the Growth and Productivity of Chili (Capsicum annum)ABSTRACT. The aim of this research was to know the effect of some fertilizers and mulches to the growth and production as well as the interaction of both factors on the red chili. The experiment was done in Lampuuk village since February 2007 to June 2007. The first factor was 3 kinds of fertilizer (dung 20 t ha-1, NPK Phonska 600 kg ha-1 and the mix of urea 200 kg ha-1, SP36 150 kg ha-1, KCl 150 kg ha-1) and the second factor was 3 kinds of mulch ( Black Silver Plastic, rice straw, rice husks). The result shows that growth of chili was better on dung fertilizer. Rice husks mulch has significantly fruit number per plant (200.85) and the highest fruit weight (380.33 g). The growth and yield of chili best on rice husks mulch.

Abstract

The aim of this research is find out best kind effect of growing media and concentration of the plant growth regulator Dekamon and interaction both of two treatment on growth and yield of melon. This research was conducted at the Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian (BPTP) Banda Aceh at May until August 2013. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design 3 x 5 with 2 factors and 3 replications. The results of this experiment shows that the growing media give significant effect on height of plant at the age 36 dap and diameter rods 16 dap. Growing media of soil + husk (M2) is better growing media to  height of plant and diameter rods but soil + compost (M3) is better to give  generative result of melon. The concentration of the plant growth regulator Dekamon give highly significant effect to diameter rods at the age 26 dap, height of plant at the age 26 dap and number of leafes 16 dap. At concentration of 0,20 ml L-1 (K2) give better results to on height of plant, diameter rods and number of leafes per plant but concentration of 0,30 ml L -1 (K4) is better to give generative result of melon.

Abstract

A field experiment to evaluate the effect of variety and Trichoderma harzianum compost  doses which riches on the growth and yield of red chilli was carried out at the Experimental Farm Agricultural Faculty Syiah Kuala University, from May 2013 through to January 2014. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Block Factorial Design with two replications. The treatment one consisted of three variety i.e.: F-1 Paramas 201, Ferosa var CA. 237 and Kheng Aik, the treatment two consisted of four doses T. harzianum compost i.e.: control, 10 g per plant, 20 per plant and 30 g per plant. The result showed that the variety and T. harzianum compost  doses increased growth and yield of red chilli, and the variety F-1 Paramas 201 was found to give the highest plant, long fruit, height per fruit, fruit number per plant and fruit weight per plant and dosage of 20 g per plant of T. harzianum compost was found to give the fruit number per plant, height per fruit and fruit weight per plant.

Abstract

This study was aimed at determining the appropriate growing medium composition and foliar fertilizer concentration and their interaction on growth and yield of lettuce. The experiment was arranged in a randomized complete block design (RCBD), consisting of two factors, i.e. the growing media composition and foliar fertilizer concentration. The first factor consisted of the composition of the soil and manure by volume ratio (3:1, 3:2, and 3:3) and the second factor consisted of foliar fertilizer concentrations (0, 2, 4 mL/L of water ). The results showed that the growing media composition soil+manure (3:3) was the best in increasing crop height, leaves number, leaf length, leaf width and yield at 35 day after planting, while the best concentration for those parameters was 4 mL/L of water. Based on the interaction, the best leaf number of lettuce was found at growing media composition soil+manure (3:3) with the concentration of foliar fertilizer 4 mL/L of water.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelompokkan berbagai jenis pisang (Musa spp.) yang terdapat di Kabupaten Aceh Besar berdasarkan karakter morfologi vegetatif dari berbagai plasma nutfah pisang. Pengamatan meliputi karakter kuantitatif dan karakter kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aksesi pisang dapat dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok berdasarkan tinggi batang semu. Kelompok pertama, kategori batang semu pendek, terdapat  4 aksesi, selanjutnya kategori batang semu sedang, terdapat 9 aksesi dan terakhir kategori batang semu tinggi, terdapat 7 aksesi. Sedangkan berdasarkan 28 karakter kualitatif, terbentuk dendogram yang mengelompokkan aksesi pisang pada 3 kelompok. Kelompok pertama yaitu pisang Bu I, Talon, Nangka, Ayam, Gantang, Mah Sabang, Banten, Mas Aceh, Klat Barat, Lidi, Abin, dan Kapai. Kelompok kedua yaitu pisang Swasa dan Buu. Kelompok ketiga yaitu pisang Wak, Kepok dan Bhem. Berdasarkan karakter tipe lekuk kanal petiol, warna batang semu dasar dan tipe bercak maka kelompok pertama dan kedua diklasifikasikan memiliki genom dominan A (berasal dari Musa acuminata), sedangkan kelompok ketiga memiliki genom dominan B (berasal dari Musa balbisiana). Grouping Based on Vegetative Morphological Character of Banana Germplasm from Aceh Besar DistrictABSTRACT. This study aims to grouping the diversity of banana (Musa spp.) from Aceh Besar District based on vegetative morphological characters of banana germplasm. Observations included quantitative and qualitative characters. Grouping based on pseudostem height were divided into three groups. The first group, short pseudostem, is 4 accessions. The second group, medium pseudostem, are 9 of accession. Last, the third group, high pseudostem, are 7 accessions. While based on 28 qualitative characters, formed dendogram classifying banana accessions into 3 groups. Based on the character type of petoile canal, predominant underlying color of pseudostem and blotches of petiole base, the first and second groups are classified into the group that have dominant genome A (derived from Musa acuminata), while the third group has dominant genome B (derived from Musa balbisiana).

Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to know the growth and productivity of some strains of rice plant on dry planting season. This research was carried out in a BBT paddy fields (Integrated Seed Hall) Samahani Kuta Malaka, Aceh Besar Regency of Aceh Province, from Mai to October 2015. This study used a Randomized Design Group- nonfactor with 3 strains of rice that is: 14 1002 E, 11S3 E, 14 1009 and each repeated 3 times, so there are 9 units of the experiment. The observed variables are plant height  and tillers of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 weeks after planting, flowering age, age of harvest, panicle length, the weight of 1000 grains of paddy, the percentage of grain contains per clump, the percentage of empty grain per tiller, heavy grain contains per clump, heavy grain contains per plot, and potential yield. There is a difference in growth and high productivity of plants, the length and weight of1000 the panicle. The tallest plants found in strain14E1002, longest panicle found in strains of 11S3 and a weight of 1000 grains found in the highest strain 11S3. Strain 14E1009 in achieving higher per hectare results 7.43 tonnes per hectare at dry planting season. Keywords: growth, productivity, rice,strain,  dry planting season

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk hayati dan varietas kedelai serta interaksi antara konsentrasi pupuk hayati dan varietas terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil kedelai, dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian dan Laboratorium Hortikultura Universitas Syiah Kuala, Banda Aceh pada bulan Juli sampai dengan Oktober 2017. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok pola faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu konsentrasi pupuk hayati  yang terdiri atas  4 taraf yaitu 0, 20, 40 dan 60 cc/L air dan faktor kedua yaitu varietas kedelai yang terdiri atas 3 taraf yaitu Anjasmoro, Grobogan dan Kipas Merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi pupuk hayati 20 cc/L air mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman pada umur 14 HST dan 28 HST. Varietas yang memiliki pertumbuhan terbaik dijumpai pada varietas Anjasmoro, dan hasil yang terbaik dijumpai pada varietas Kipas Merah.Pengaruh konsentrasi pupuk hayati terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil beberapa varietas kedelai (Glycine max (L.) Faktor pertama adalah konsentrasi pupuk hayati yang terdiri dari 4 level 0, 20, 40 dan 60 cc / L air dan faktor kedua adalah varietas kedelai yang terdiri 3 tingkat Anjasmoro, Grobogan dan Kipas Merah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi pupuk hayati 20 cc / L air mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman pada 14 HST dan 28 HST.

Abstract

Abstrak. Upaya dalam meningkatkan produksi padi diantara varietas atau galur padi yang memiliki daya adaptasi tinggi sehingga mampu menghasilkan produksi yang maksimum pada berbagai kondisi lingkungan. Penelitian dilakukan untuk memperoleh benih yang akan diuji di Laboratorium Ilmu dan Teknologi Benih, Program Studi Agroteknologi, pada bulan Maret sampai April 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial 10 x 3 dengan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu varietas Yin Zhan 1, Chao Zhan, Zhang Zhan 1, Miao Zhan, S3, S6, C3, 14E1002, 14E1009 dan Ciherang. Faktor kedua mengkaji tentang penggunaan posisi malai yang terdiri dari Rhacis, Primer dan Sekunder. Parameter yang diamati potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, T50, berat segar kecambah normal dan berat kering kecambah normal. Parameter yang diuji adalah potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, T50, berat segar kecambah normal dan berat kering kecambah normal.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan varietas berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap semua parameter. Sedangkan posisi malai berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap semua parameter. Terdapat interaksi yang sangat nyata, pada parameter parameter potensi tumbuh maksimum, daya berkecambah, indeks vigor, kecepatan tumbuh, T50, berat segar kecambah normal. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa vigor kekuatan tumbuh benih terbaik dijumpai pada varietas S3 dan 14E1002. Sedangkan posisi malai yang terbaik dijumpai pada posisi malai Rhacis pada semua varietas padi.Vertility and Vigor of Paddy (Oryza sativa L.) Efforts to increase rice production among rice varieties or strains that have high adaptability so as to produce maximum production in various environmental conditions. The research was conducted to obtain the seeds to be tested in Seed Science and Technology Laboratory, Agrotechnology Study Program, from March to April 2017. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a 10 x 3 factorial pattern with 3 replications. The first factor is the varieties of Yin Zhan 1, Chao Zhan, Zhang Zhan 1, Miao Zhan, S3, S6, C3, 14E1002, 14E1009 and Ciherang. The second factor examines the use of panicle positions consisting of Rhacis, Primary and Secondary. Parameters observed for maximum growth potential, germination power, vigor index, growth rate, T50, fresh weight of normal sprouts and normal dry weight of sprouts. Parameters tested were maximum growth potential, germination, vigor index, growth rate, T50, fresh weight of normal sprouts and normal dried germination weight. The results showed that the treatment of varieties had a very significant effect on all parameters. While the position of panicles effect very real on all parameters. There is a very real interaction, on parameters of maximum growth potential, germination, vigor index, growth rate, T50, fresh weight of normal sprouts. It can be concluded that vigor strength of the best seed growth is found in S3 and 14E1002 varieties. While the best panicle position is found in the position of malai Rhacis on all varieties of rice.
