Abstract

Penelitian dengan studi empirik ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model tes yang cocok dengan data. Pengembangan item pada penelitian menggunakan pendekatan teori respons butir politomus (TRBP). Subjek ujicoba diambil dari siswa lima SMP kelas VII akhir mewakili peringkat SMP di Kota Yogyakarta sebanyak 1030 siswa. Hasil Metode TRBP yang cocok dipilih berdasarkan hasil parametrisasi menggunakan PARSCALE dan deskripsi hubungan fungsional antara respons peserta tes dengan tingkat kemampuannya yang dinyatakan dalam test information curves (TIC). Penelitian ini menghasilkan 16 butir untuk bank soal dengan karakteristik masing-masing butir memiliki nilai daya beda yang tidak rendah (>0,25 skala logit) dan nilai kesulitan butir pada selang -3 sampai +3 skala logit. Berdasarkan informasi yang dihasilkan, kedua macam model penskoran Graded Response Model (GRM) dan Generalized Partial Credi Model (GPCM) cocok memodelkan penskoran TPPB.Kata kunci: tes pengetahuan praktikum biologi, GRM, GPCM

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difference of students? activity and learning outcome between students who do problem based teaching model practicum method and students who do problem based teaching model video observation method. This study is quasi-experimental with posttest-only design. Population of this research is the whole of grade VIII students. The samples of the study are VIIID (experimental class 1) and VIIIC (experimental class 2) which are taken using cluster random sampling technique. The result of this study is the class who did problem based teaching model practicum method got post-test result 77,31. While the class who did problem based teaching  model video observation method got 70,75. According to Mann-Whitney test with Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) 0,002 < 0,05, it can be assumed that there is significant difference on students? learning outcome between class who did problem based teaching  model practicum method and class who did problem based teaching  model video observation method. The average of students who are very active and active on the experiment class 1 is 85,15% and experiment class 2 is 78,90%. Based on the study result, it shows that there is difference of activity and learning outcome between students who did problem based teaching model practicum method and problem based teaching model video observation method.

Abstract

Study habit (attending lectures, reading books, visiting library, and facing examination) plays an important role in determining academic achievement. The objectives of this study were to analyze the correlation between study habits and academic achievement and analyze the indicators that were most significantly correlated with students’ academic achievement. The study was conducted at the Biology Department of FMIPA UNNES in February - March 2018. The sample of respondents consisted of students of the Biology Department of academic years 2014, 2015 and 2016. A total of 308 students were taken as the sample using proportional stratified random sampling technique. The data was taken using a questionnaire instrument and analyzed using the path analysis method assisted by SmartPLS. The results of the data analysis showed that the indicators of study habit have a significant correlation to the students’ academic achievement of Biology Department. The correlation coefficient values of study habit indicators from high to low were reading books, attending lectures, facing exams, and visiting the library. This study showed that the habit of reading books had the most significant correlation. It is suggested to conduct the experimental research which is related to the effectiveness of reading habit.

Abstract

The academic purpose of kindergarten differs from any other academic puposes of schools. This fact implies differences in both learning process and evaluation. In kindergarten, the learning is thematic, and the evaluation is meant to know the students’ development. In schools, learning in each subject of study is independent, and the evaluation is to know how far the competence each student reaches. In addition, the difference causes to task of kindergarten teacher. So to evaluate kindergarten teacher needs special instrument of teacher’s performance appraisal which differs from any instruments related to teacher appraisals. This research is to formulate kindergarten teacher performance appraisal instrument (KTPAI). This research takes place in Surakarta which involve supervisor, headmaster, and teacher of kindergarten. Data evaluation of factual KTPAI and need asessment of KTPAI are compiled by supervisor and headmaster of kindergarten. The result of this research insists to develop factual KTPAI. Developed KTPAI is differences from factual KTPAI. The differences are: (a) comprehensive competence appraised, (b) distinctness in appraisal procedur and describer of each indicator, (c) compability of instrument with the kindergarten teacher’s task , (d) cohesiveness dan transparency in result of appraisal, and (e) certainty of appraisal result status, and follow up planning.

Abstract

The problem of this study were (1) how the model construction and evaluation instruments (2) whether the instrument can be used to evaluate the results of the implementation of learning English curriculum in Biological Science Education Program UNNES lecturer in terms of performance indicators. Development of research aims to produce an evaluation instrument and whether the instrument can be used to find English-language classes are conducted in accordance with the expected success criteria I-MHERE program for faculty performance indicators. Methods of model development to take some model development procedure Borg & Gall. Model validation is done through focus group discussions and request a written opinion of an expert. The data were analyzed descriptively and used to produce products in the form of evaluation instruments for use in model evaluation context, input, prosses, and product or the Stufflebeam CIPP. The results component in the form of instruments to evaluate faculty input, the input component of the curriculum, and the components of the curriculum implementation process of learning English I-MHERE Prodi Education in Biology, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in particular to review the indicators UNNES lecturer. The instrument has been developed to serve the purpose of such instruments are developed until the early trials.

Abstract

Department of Biology, State University of Semarang (Unnes) is beeing committed to implement competency and conservation-based curriculum since the academic year 2012/2013. Character of the conservation values inculcated through integration in the learning process. This research problem is how to develop conservation based character education values. This research aims to generate value conservation character based learning of General Biology with a exploring environment (JAS) strategy. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach. As informants are faculty and students who teach and learn using competency and conservation-based curriculum for General Biology subjects. Data obtained in the form of descriptions of learning activities and interviews with informants. The data were analyzed later narrated. The results show the development of conservation-based character education values can begin of simple things that happen in the process of active and effective learning. Furthermore, teachers can pull things demonstrated by cognitive, affective and behavioral students of both positive and negative to the corresponding construct ten conservation value of character education.

Abstract

Aktivitas belajar siswa yang rendah dan kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran yang digunakan pada materi pencemaran lingkungan kelas X MIPA SMA Negeri 11 Semarang menyebabkan hasil belajar yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan pengajaran Quantum terhadap hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan dan sikap materi pencemaran lingkungan.Metode penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuantitatif. Desain Quasi eksperimen post-test only control group design dan one shot case study digunakan untuk menganalisis keefektifan hasil belajar siswa aspek pengetahuan dan sikap kelas eksperimen menggunakan pengajaran Quantum dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode diskusi observasi. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas X MIPA 4 (kelas eksperimen 1), X MIPA 5 (kelas kontrol), dan X MIPA 6 (eksperimen 2). Analisis uji komparatif hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan menggunakan independent sample test kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol diperoleh thitung (3,97) > ttabel 5% (2,00). Analisis hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan menggunakan one sample test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar melalui pengajaran Quantum kelas eksperimen dengan KKM yang ditetapkan Permendikbud yaitu ≥ 2,67 diperoleh nilai thitung (8,97) > ttabel 5% (2,00). Analisis hasil belajar aspek sikap menggunakan one sample test menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar melalui pengajaran Quantum kelas eksperimen dengan KKM yang ditetapkan Permendikbud yaitu ≥ 3 diperoleh nilai thitung (15,79) > ttabel 5% (2,00). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pengajaran Quantum efektif terhadap hasil belajar aspek pengetahuan dan sikap materi pencemaran lingkungan.  The low of student activities and lack of teaching media were used in learning environmental pollution for the class X MIPA of SMA Negeri 11 Semarang caused learning outcomes weren’t optimal. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Quantum teaching toward student learning outcomes in knowledge and attitude aspects of environmental pollution. This research method is quantitative experiments. Quasi-experimental design of a post-test only control group design and one-shot case study was used to analyze the effectiveness of student learning outcomes of knowledge and attitude aspects of classroom teaching experiment using Quantum with the control class using discussion method of observation. The sample used is class X MIPA 4 (experimental class 1), X MIPA 5 (control class), and X MIPA 6 (experimental class 2). The analysis of the comparative test outcomes with aspects of knowledge using independent sample test to experimental class with control class obtained tcount (3.97) > ttable 5% (2.00). The analysis of learning outcomes aspects of knowledge using one sample test showed that there was an average difference in student learning outcomes through Quantum teaching experimental class with KKM established by Permendikbud ie ≥ 2.67 was obtained tcount (8.97) > ttable 5% (2.00). The analysis of the student learning outcomes used one aspect attitude until the test showed that there are differences in average outcomes of learning through Quantum teaching experimental class with KKM established by Permendikbud ie ≥ 3 obtained tcount (15.79) > ttable 5% (2.00). The result of study shows that the application of Quantum teaching is effective for student learning outcomes in knowledge and attitude aspects of environmental pollution.

Abstract

This research  aimed  measure the effectiveness of learning with Quantum Teaching methods in exploring environment  approach-based on characters and conservation to the activities and learning outcomes and character building of student at SMP N 1 Bae Kudus. Learning is effective if at least 80% in the classical KKM and liveliness of students achieving ≥ 75% of students showed an active response to the character of students attitudes and good. This type of research was quasi experimental research design using a pretest-posttest control group. The samples of this research were class VII F and VII G which determined by purposive random sampling. The independent variables include the application of Quantum Teaching Method JAS approach based on the character and conservation, while the dependent variable is the activity and student learning achievement.  Tests using the t test showed of average difference in pretest-posttest experimental class is larger than the class controls. The results of the analysis of test n-gain experimental learning activities grade students earned a higher average than the classical control class. Analysis of the character of students as measured by the attitude scale obtained a good average. The results was able to conlude that Quantum Teaching learning method based on the JAS approach to the character and conservation effective to activities and learning outcomes of student. Penelitian ini bertujuan  mengukur efektivitas pembelajaran dengan metode Quantum Teaching pada pendekatan Jelajah Alam Sekitar berbasis karakter dan konservasi terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar serta karakter siswa di SMP N 1 Bae Kudus. Pembelajaran dikatakan efektif apabila secara klasikal minimal 80% siswa mencapai KKM dan keaktifan siswa menunjukkan ≥ 75% aktif serta respon karakter sikap siswa baik. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian quasi eksperimental menggunakan desain Control group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII F dan VII G yang ditentukan secara purposive random sampling. Variabel bebas meliputi penerapan Metode Quantum Teaching pada pendekatan JAS berbasis karakter dan konservasi, sedangkan variabel terikatnya adalah aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Pengujian menggunakan uji t menunjukkan selisih pretest-posttest kelas eksperimen lebih besar dari kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis uji n-gain aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen diperoleh rerata klasikal yang lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Analisis karakter siswa yang diukur dengan skala sikap diperoleh rata-rata baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan metode Quantum Teaching pada pendekatan JAS berbasis karakter dan konservasi efektif diterapkan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan penilaian autentik dalam pembelajaran biologi dengan inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik pada materi pokok sistem indera manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Experimental Design dengan pola  Nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Karangdowo, Klaten, dengan sampel peserta didik kelas XI IPA 4 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling, yang didasarkan atas beberapa pertimbangan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil belajar pada ranah pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol. Rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen 72,94 (pengetahuan), 2,68 (sikap), 2,80 (keterampilan) sedangkan kelas kontrol 60,31 (pengetahuan), 2,25 (sikap), 2,53 (keterampilan). Hasil ini sudah mencapai target dari penelitian, berdasarkan uji hipotesis terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, dengan nilai p value < α = 0,05. Hal ini menunjukkan penggunaan penilaian autentik dalam pembelajaran biologi dengan inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik.    This research aims to determine the effect of the use of authentic assessment in biology with guided inquiry learning on learning achievement of students in the subject matter of human sensory system. This research is a Quasi-Experimental Design with Nonequivalent pattern control group design. The population in this research were all students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Karangdowo, Klaten, with a sample of students of class XI IPA 4 as the experimental group and class XI IPA 3 as the control group. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique, which is based on several considerations. The results showed that the learning achievement in the realm of knowledge, attitudes, and skills experimental class is higher than the control class. An average of  experimental class learning achievement 72.94 (knowledge), 2.68 (attitude), 2.80 (skills) while the control class 60.31 (knowledge), 2.25 (attitude), 2.53 (skills). This result has already reached the target of research, based on hypothesis testing the effect, there are significant differences, with p value <α = 0.05. This shows that the use of authentic assessment in biology with guided inquiry learning positif effect on the learning achievement of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas pembelajaran reciprocal teaching pada materi Protista untuk membedakan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Godong antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi experimental menggunakan rancangan the posttest only control group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian meliputi aktivitas siswa dan hasil belajar pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan aktivitas dan hasil belajar (pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan) kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Untuk kelas kontrol, rata-rata nilai pengetahuan = 3,29; sikap = 2,98; keterampilan = 3,34. Untuk kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai pengetahuan = 3,38; sikap = 3,08; dan keterampilan 3,41. Aktivitas siswa kelas kontrol 71,25% siswa dalam kategori aktif sampai sangat aktif sedangkan kelas eksperimen 78,75%. Siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan “baik” terhadap model pembelajaran reciprocal teaching yang diterapkan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, pembelajaran model reciprocal teaching materi Protista yang diterapkan “efektif” terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. This research aims to test the effectiveness of reciprocal teaching learning to the matter protist to distinguish activity and study results of class X student SMA N 1 Godong between control class and experimental class. This research is a quasi experimental design was the posttest only control group. The sample in this research is X MIA 2 as a control class and X MIA 1 as experimental classes taken with purposive sampling technique. The research data include student activity and study results of knowledge, attitudes, and skills. The results showed that there are differences in activity and study results (knowledge, attitudes, and skills) control class and experimental class. The average results of experimental class higher than the control class. For the control class, the average value of the knowledge = 3.29; attitude = 2.98; skills = 3.34. For the experimental class the average value of the knowledge = 3.38; attitude = 3.08; and skills 3.41. Activity graders control 71,25% of the students in the category of active to very active while the experiment group 78,75%. Students and teachers responded well against the learning model of reciprocal teaching applied. Based on the results of research learning model of reciprocal teaching materials protist are applied effectively against the activity and results of student learning.
