Abstract

 Dental panoramic radiographs heavily depend on the performance of the segmentation method due to the presence of unevenly illumination and low contrast of the images. Conditional Spatial Fuzzy C-mean (csFCM) Clustering have been proposed to achieve through the incorporation of the component and added in the FCM to cluster grouping. This algorithm directs with consideration conditioning variables that consider membership value. However, csFCM does not consider Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set to take final membership and final non-membership value into account, the effect does not wipe off the deviation by illumination and low contrast of the images completely for improvement to skip some scope. In this current paper, we introduced a new image segmentation method namely Conditional Spatial in Intuitionistic Fuzzy C-Means Clustering for Segmentation of Teeth in Dental Panoramic Radiographs. Our proposed method adds hesitation function aiming to settle the indication of the knowledge lack that belongs to the final membership function to get a better segmentation result. The experiment result shows this method achieves better segmentation performance with misclassification error (ME) and relative foreground area error (RAE) values are 4.77 and 4.27 respectively.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop students worksheet on learning mathematics of building a flat side space with GeoGebra assisted to facilitate valid, practical, and effective Visual Thinking capabilities. This type of research is development research conducted through preliminary research stage, prototyping stage, and assessment phase. The results showed that LKPD and GeoGebra supported mathematics learning media developed were in valid category. Based on the results of experiments conducted, it is found that learning tools have fulfilled the aspect of practicality. This can be seen from: 1) the implementation of learning in the limited trial is classified as practical and the implementation of learning in small group categorical testing is very practical; 2) the use of LKPD in learning mathematics developed in terms of learners' responses pertained practical. The developed LKPD has also fulfilled the effectiveness aspects seen from the Visual Thinking ability test of learners.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD dalam pembelajaran matematika materi bangun ruang sisi datar dengan berbantuan GeoGebra yang valid dan praktis, serta menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan Visual Thinking. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan yang terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu preliminary research, prototyping stage, dan assessment phase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dikembangkan berada pada kategori valid. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba yang dilakukan, LKPD telah memenuhi aspek kepraktisan. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari: 1) keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada uji coba terbatas tergolong praktis serta keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada uji coba kelompok kecil terkategori sangat praktis; 2) penggunaan LKPD dalam pembelajaran matematika yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari respon peserta didik tergolong praktis. LKPD yang dikembangkan juga telah memenuhi aspek keefektivan yang dilihat dari tes kemampuan Visual Thinking peserta didik.Kata kunci : GeoGebra, visual thinking, LKPD.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze student worksheet development based on Problem Based Learning model in topic of Probability for Senior High School students of grade X. The instruments which were used in this research were the validation sheet of student worksheet for math lecturer and teacher in order to fulfill the validity aspect, the student scoring sheet in order to fulfill the applicability aspect, and critical mathematic thinking ability test in order to fulfill the effectiveness aspect. The result of the research showed that the student worksheet which was based on Problem Based Learning model had fulfilled the requirements and appropriateness standard based on content, design, and language expert. The data analysis of t-test towards of critical thinking ability showed that the critical thinking ability of students with Problem Based Learning model worksheet was higher than the critical thinking ability of students without Problem Based Learning model worksheet.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengembangan model Problem Based Learning pada materi Peluang untuk SMA kelas X. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi LKPD untuk ahli dan guru matematika untuk aspek kevalidan, lembar penilaian peserta didik untuk aspek keterbacaan, serta soal tes kemampuan berpikir kritis untuk aspek keefektivan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning telah memenuhi syarat dan standar kelayakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, desain, dan bahasa. Hasil analisis menggunakan uji t terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang menggunakan LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning lebih tinggi daripada peserta didik yang tidak menggunakan LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, peluang, problem based learning

Abstract

This development research that aimed to produce products form of teaching materials based on Alqurun Teaching Model (ATM), and to find out the effectiveness of implementation of teaching materials products based on ATM on the concept of cubes and beams . The design of this study used the stages of research according with 2 main stages of preliminary, and formative test. The subjects of this research were students of MTs Darul Huda Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2016/2017. The research data was obtained through concept comprehension concept test. Data analysis techniques used t-test and N-Gain. The results of one to one test showsthat ATM based teaching materials are included in either category. The results of data analysis on the field test showed that there is an increase in the ability to understand students concepts an ATM based teaching materials with quite effective category.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar berbasis Alqurun Teaching Model (ATM), dan mengetahui efektivitas penerapan produk bahan ajar berbasis ATM pada konsep kubus dan balok. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan tahap-tahap penelitian dengan 2 tahapan utama yaitu preliminary dan uji formatif. Subjek penelitian pengembangan ini adalah siswa-siswi MTs Darul Huda Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan N-Gain. Hasil uji perorangan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis ATM termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hasil analisis data pada uji terbatas menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah diberikan bahan ajar berbasis ATM dengan kategori cukup efektif.Kata kunci : bahan ajar berbasis ATM, pemahaman konsep,kubus dan balok.

Abstract

This research development aimed to develop of worksheet based on guided discovery for increasing mathematical creative thinking and student’s self-efficacy. Development stage in this study is a preliminary study, planning, development of worksheet, worksheet validation, and field testing. The subject of this research is the students of class 10A3 and 10A5 MAN 1 Central Lampung in the Academic of 2017/2018. The data of this research were obtained by observation, interview, mathematicalcreative thinking ability test and self-efficacy scale. The result of the validity by subject matter expert and media expert showed that the worksheet is considered excellent. The Initial field testing results indicate that worksheet is included in either category. The field testing results showed that (1) the student’s mathematical creative thinking aspect was effective because seen from the N-Gain of 0,54 which included in the category of moderate improvement and (2) the student’s self-efficacy was effective because seen from the N-Gain of 0,36 which included in the category of moderate improvement. It can be concluded that worksheet based on guided discovery effective way to improve the mathematical creative thinking ability and student’s self-efficacy.

Abstract

This research is that aims to produce products in the form of teaching materials based ATM, and to know the effectiveness of application of teaching materials products based on ATM on the concept of circle material. The stages of Research Development were, preliminary (preparation includes preliminary study and instructional design), and formative test (self evaluation, expert review, one to one, small group, field test). The subjects of this research are students of MTsN 1 Lampung Selatan in academic Year 2016/2017 and several expert at every stage of development. The research data was obtained through concept comprehension concept test. The experts review shows that ATM based teaching materials have satisfied of standart the content, media, and language and included good category. The results of data analysis on the field test shows that there is an increasing in the ability to understanding the students concepts after given an ATM based teaching materials with quite category.Penelitian dan pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa bahan ajar berbasis ATM, dan mengetahui efektivitas penerapan produk bahan ajar berbasis ATM pada konsep materi lingkaran. Tahap-tahap penelitian ini, yaitu preliminary (meliputi studi pendahuluan dan pendesainan bahan ajar), dan uji formatif (evaluasi diri, uji ahli, uji perorangan, uji kelompok kecil, dan uji terbatas). Subjek penelitian pengembangan ini adalah siswa MTsN 1 Lampung Selatan Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 dan beberapa ahli. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis ATM telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi, media, dan bahasa dengan kategori baik. Abstract

This research aim to know the effectiveness and response of learners using interactive multimedia PowerPoint in scientific approach to improve understanding of statistical concepts. This research method refers to ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects in this research are students grade IX SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung Year 2017/2018. Data collected through observation, questionnaires, and tests. The data analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The result are: (1) product development includes 5 stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product then tested the validity level  that includes needs analysis, review of material experts, review of media instruction designers, readability tests, individual and limited trials. (2) product effectiveness is achieved with the result that 74% of learners have reached KKM, (3) the learner's response to the product is interesting and easy to understand with the result of the questionnaire calculation with an average of 3,68.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas dan respon peserta didik yang menggunakan multimedia interaktif PowerPoint dalam pendekatan saintifik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep statistika. Metode penelitian ini mengacu pada model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas IX SMP Al-Azhar 3 Bandarlampung Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket dan tes. Data dianalis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yaitu: (1) pengembangan produk  meliputi 5 tahapan yaitu analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk kemudian diuji tingkat validitasnya melalui hasil analisis kegiatan ujicoba yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, review ahli materi, review ahli desain media pembelajaran, uji keterbacaan, uji coba perorangan dan terbatas. (2) efektivitas penggunaan produk tercapai dengan hasil 74% peserta didik telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM), (3) respon peserta didik terhadap produk adalah menarik dan mudah dipahami dengan hasil perhitungan angket dengan rata-rata 3,68.Kata kunci: multimedia interaktif, saintifik, statistika

Abstract

This research was aimed to produce students worksheet based on problem that valid and effective to increase students mathematical conection ability. The stages of development were preliminary research, design of students worksheet, students worksheet validation, preliminary field testing and main field testing. The research subject was grade VII students in SMPN 20 Bandar Lampung in academic year 2016/2017.Validation result of content expert show that, students worksheet was categorized good. Validation result of media expert show that, students worksheet was categorized very good. The result of analysis data N-gain mathematical conection ability show that, the increased mathematical conection ability of students who use the students worksheet based on problem is higher than the increased mathematical conection ability of students who didnt use the students worksheet based on problem. Conclution of this research are students worksheet was valid and effective to increase students mathematical conection ability. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh LKPD berbasis masalah yang valid dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik. Tahapan pengembangan ini yaitu studi pendahuluan, penyusunan LKPD, validasi LKPD, uji coba lapangan awal, dan uji lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 20 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Hasil validasi ahli materi menunjukkan bahwa, LKPD berbasis masalah termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hasil validasi ahli media menunjukkan bahwa, LKPD termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. Hasil analisis data N-gain kemampuan koneksi matematis menunjukkan bahwa, peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik yang menggunakan LKPD berbasis masalah (PBL) lebih tinggi dari pada peserta didik yang tidak menggunakan LKPD berbasis masalah (PBL). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu, LKPD berbasis masalah telah valid dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematis peserta didik.Kata kunci: kemampuan koneksi matematis, LKPD, masalah.

Abstract

Abstract: Identification of Scientific Literacy of Elementary School Students in Central Lampung District. Objective: Identify scientific literacy skills of elementary school students that can be actualized in the form of local government policies. Method: This descriptive study involved 36 schools with a total of 380 Elementary School students in Lampung Tengah District obtained using purposive sampling technique. Students appreciate with scientific literacy adapted from PISA questions (Programs for International Student Assessment) and scientific literacy data are analyzed descriptively. Findings: The results of the study showed that students who understand the concept were only 16.07%, misconcept are 8.6%, wrong concept are 37.5%, and missunderstand concept are 37.8%. Elementary students who understand the concept are still few for most of the questions especially competencies of interpret scientific data and evidence, procedural knowledge categories, and the content of the physical system area. Conclusion: Elementary students' scientific literacy in Central Lampung is still in the low category. Keywords: scientific literacy, elementary school students, descriptive study. Abstrak: Identifikasi Literasi Sains Siswa Sekolah Dasar di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah. Tujuan: Mengidentifikasi kemampuan literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar yang dapat diaktualisasikan dalam bentuk kebijakan pemerintah daerah. Metode: Penelitian deskriptif ini melibatkan 36 sekolah dengan total 380 siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Kabupaten Lampung Tengah yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan purposive sampling technique. Siswa diuji dengan soal literasi sains yang diadaptasi dari soal PISA (Programme for International Students Assessment) dan data literasi sains dianalisis secara deskriptif. Temuan: Data hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang paham konsep hanya 16,07%, siswa yang miskonsep 8,6%, siswa yang salah konsep 37,5%, dan siswa yang tidak paham konsep 37,8%. Siswa SD yang paham konsep sains masih sedikit setiap soal terutama pada kompetensi sains interpret data and evidence scientifically, kategori pengetahuan procedural, dan konten area physical system. Abstract

This research development aimed to develop of worksheet based on problem based learning for increasing mathematical communication ability and students self efficacy. This study was initiated with preliminary studies (need analysis), the composing, the validation, the initial trial period and the field trial of worksheet. The subject of this research was students of VII.7 and VII.8 class of SMPN 1 Bandar Lampung. The result of preliminary study indicated that there was a need to develop worsheet based on PBL. The arranges of worksheet were started with the draft-preperation and all of components based on the composing guidelines. The result of the validation showed that the worksheet got the standart qualification for its content and design. The filed trial results showed that (1) the students mathematical communication aspect was quite effective because seen from the N-Gain of 0,63 and (2) the students self efficacy was quite effective because seen from the N-Gain of 0,56.Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD berbasis PBL guna meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self efficacy siswa. Penelitian ini diawali dari studi pendahuluan (analisis kebutuhan), penyusunan LKPD, validasi LKPD, uji coba lapangan awal, dan uji lapangan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII.7 dan VII.8 SMPN 1 Bandar Lampung. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui tes komunikasi matematis dan skala self efficacy. Hasil studi pendahuluan menunjukkan adanya kebutuhan dikembangkannya LKPD berbasis PBL. Penyusunan LKPD diawali dengan menyusun rancangan dan semua komponennya berdasarkan panduan penyusunan. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa LKPD telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi dan desain. Hasil uji coba lapangan awal menunjukkan bahwa LKPD termasuk dalam kategori cukup baik. Hasil uji lapangan menunjukkan bahwa (1) aspek komunikasi matematis siswa cukup efektif dilihat dari rerata N-Gain sebesar 0,63 dan (2) self efficacy siswa cukup efektif dilihat dari rerata N-Gain sebesar 0,56.Kata kunci : LKPD, komunikasi matematis,self efficacy
