Abstract

Rumah Sakit Hewan Pendidikan Fakultas Kedokteran Hewan Institut Pertanian Bogor (RSHP FKH IPB) menerima anjing Golden Retriever dengan gejala klinis tidak mau makan, nyeri abdomen, muntah dan konstipasi pada bulan april 2016. Pemeriksaan profil darah menunjukkan peningkatan jumlah total leukosit, penurunan jumlah eritrosit dan hemoglobin. Pemeriksaan radiografi tanpa kontras menunjukkan adanya massa radiopaque area intestinal. Empat puluh lima menit setelah pemberian bahan kontras (OmnipaqueÒ), bahan kontras masih berada di gastrium dan hanya mencapai sebagian intestinal. Pemeriksaan endoskopi menunjukkan iritasi mukusa esofagus sampai gastrium.

Abstract

This paper deals with one of the Islamic organizations in Palu, Wahdah Islamiyah (Islamic Unity), in terms of theological and contemporary Islamic legal issues. The source of analysis is the website that Wahdah Islamiyah runs online. The paper concludes that Wahdah Islamiyah is influenced by the relatively strict theology of Wahh?bism in religiosity and morality. Therefore, in legal issues, Wahdah Islamiyah embraced and accommodated relatively conservative views with various issues in relation to theological issues and Islamic legal issues such as women?s, social, economic, and political issues. From these views, it can be argued that their aim is to preserve the identity by constructing the concepts of shirk and bid?ah and reinforcing the relatively rigid juristic tradition to become the citadel from the attacks of doctrine seeking to demolish the building of Salafism.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the red watermelon extract can affect the number of leukocytes in mice exposed to cigarette smoke. This study was designed with a completely randomized design using a unidirectional pattern 20 male mice (Mus muscullus) were divided into 4 groups. K1 negative controls were given 0.5 ml of distilled water, K2 positive control by exposure to cigarette smoke and 0.5 ml of distilled water, K3 by exposure to cigarette smoke and red watermelon extract were given a dose of 22 mg / mouse and K4 by exposure to cigarette smoke and were given extracts of red watermelon a dose of 44 mg / mouse. Exposure to cigarette smoke and red watermelon extract conducted for 30 days, making blood on day 31. Blood sampling performed at Plexus Retroorbitalis. Furthermore, counting the number of leukocytes. Data were analyzed using ANOVA completely randomized design with SPSS for Windows 16.0. The results of this study showed that the extract of watermelon for 30 days showed their real influence (P <0.05) to the number of leukocytes in mice. It is concluded that free radicals contained in cigarette can cause a leukocytosis, an inflammatory, oxidative stress and red watermelon extract can minimize cell damage.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the time of onset and sedation on diabetic mellitus (DM) rat (Rattus norvegicus) by propofol. This study used 8 female wistar rats 2-3 months old and 150-200 grams of bodyweight, fed with standard feed and water ad libitum. Samples were divided into two groups. Group 1 (KI) as a control group was injected intraperitoneally with aloxan solvent and group 2 (KII) was injected intraperitoneally with 150 mg/kg bodyweight aloxan. Blood glucose was checked 10 days after aloxan injection, DM was categorized if the blood glucose over 150 mg/dl. All rats were injected intravenously with propofol 1% with the dose of 10 mg/kg bodyweight. Onset and sedation time was counted using stopwatch after propofol injection. The result showed that mean (±SD) of onset on KI and KII were 1.39±0.49 and 8.64±1.23 seconds, consecutively and they were significantly different at P<0.01. Whilst mean (±SD) of sedation KI and KII were 12.12±1.47 minutes and 7.62±1.61 minutes, respectively. The onset and sedation time of KI was significantly different from KII P<0.01. The conclusion of this research was DM affects time of onset and sedation when wistar strain rats were anesthetized by 1% propofol.Key words: rats, diabetic mellitus, propofol, onset, sedation

Abstract

This paper deals with the hermeneutical reading of divorce (?al?q), one of the sensitive issues in Islamic family law. It is concluded that the existence of Islamic law of divorce is not to denigrate women; however, it is to give respons to the injustice suffered by women by giving regulations that are more friendly to women. The regulations of the Quran on the subject of divorce are designed to restrict the practice which had prevailed among the Arabs that they are free to divorce his wife at any time without any reason, and remarry her in unlimited ways. This is indicated that Islam stipulates that divorce is two times: then one may retain with goodness (and reasonable terms), or let go with goodness and reasonable terms. If divorce occurs, a divorced woman should the prescribed period (?iddah) and financial consideration (mut?at al-?al?q).

Abstract

Abstract. This paper deals with the role of muṣālaḥah in conflic resolution among Muslim societies using a historical approach. From a historical analysis it is concluded that the concept of ṣulḥ and muṣālaḥah have predated Islam, and played a vital role in resolving disputes and conflicts among clans in pre-Islam Arab societies. In the period of Islam, as in the case of Fatḥ Makkah (winning over Mecca) and Ṣulḥ al-Ḥudaybiyyah (peace treaty at Ḥudaybiyyah). In resolving conflicts, there are principles employed by the Prophet Muḥammad, such as tolerance, non-violence, patience, forgiveness, peace, harmony and mercy.Kata Kunci:        resolusi konflik, muṣālaḥah, ṣulḥ, toleransi, nir-kekerasan, pemaafan

Abstract

Abstract: The paper deals with the concept of multiculturalism from the Quranic perspective. It is argued that since the beginning, the Quran recognised and appreciated diversity based on race, religion, culture, and so on. Even, the Quran itself was revealed in the multicultural context. The epistemological basis for multiculturalism in the discourse of the Quran is “human dignity”, from which emerge a set of basic rights that must be respected and protected, which becomes an ethical foundation of multiculturalism. As a consequence of protecting the basic rights, the concept of justice and equality comes to surface. Since human beings are created as sacred and equal, hurting them and their rights is violation to universal humanity. Therefore, to achieve peace, toleration is necessary. To do this task, the strategy of anti-discrimination and prejudice reduction to different groups based on ethnicity, race, culture, and religion—is highly necessary to be established according to local context.Kata Kunci:      Alquran, multikulturalisme, hak asasi manusia, keadilan, toleransi, dialog
