Abstract

(The evaluation of  nutritive value and In Vitro digestibility of oil palm fronds through fermentation by using  Aspergillus niger  with  different soluble carbohydrate sources) ABSTRACT. Oil palm frond (OPF) is one of potential sources of alternative feed, but has limited use due to high crude fiber and low crude protein contents. Fermentation is one of the methods widely applied to improve nutritive value of animal feed. The purpose of this research is to increase nutritive value of fermented oil palm fronds by adding different soluble carbohydrate source into fermentation media. The results of the experiments indicated that fermented oil palm fronds by Aspergillus niger had a significant effect (P 0,05)  on the content of crude protein, crude fiber, and ash. Generally, fermented oil palm fronds with different soluble carbohydrate was able to increase the content of crude protein of oil palm fronds, but not optimal yet in reducing the crude fiber content of fermented substrate. However, the addition of rice bran on the fermentation medium showed the best results, characterized by increasing crude protein and decreasing crude fiber contents as well as improved dry matter and organic matter digestibility, reflected in high concentration of VFA.

Abstract

Ideal protein (amino acids) concept focused on broiler ABSTRACT. Accurate estimation of the amino acid requirement is very importance for diet formulation in growing animals such as broiler. Inadequate formulation of dietary amino acids will impair protein utilization and increase the total nitrogen output to the environment. Amino acids requirement of animals changes due to dietary, sex, and genetic and environmental factors. To address all potential combinations of factors with dose-response experiments is almost impossible. Thus the ideal protein concept provides a simple and effective approach to solve this problem. Based on this concept, the requirement of indispensible amino acids can be determined. For this concept, lysine has been used as the reference amino acid to calculate other indispensable amino acids due to several considerations. This paper will review more detailed about protein concept based on amino acid profile by using broiler as sampel review.

Abstract

Abstrak Pulau Pari memiliki tiga ekosistem tropika yang unik, yaitu mangrove, lamun, dan terumbu karang. Meskipun demikian, sumberdaya hayati tersebut semakin menipis akibat pemanfaatan yang tidak ramah lingkungan, terutama disebabkan oleh eksploitasi sumberdaya yang berlebih serta perubahan lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang lingkungan hidup dengan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap konservasi ekosistem wilayah pesisir Pulau Pari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode korelasional, dengan wawancara mendalam terhadap masyarakat Pulau Pari menggunakan kuesioner. Tujuh puluh tiga (73) responden dipilih secara acak dari  265 Kepala keluarga (KK). Disamping data primer tersebut, digunakan pula data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai kepustakaan. Semua data primer yang diperoleh tersebut dianalisa menggunakan analisis korelasi tingkat Spearman (r). Hasil pengamatan lapangan melalui wawancara menggunakan kuesioner memperlihatkan bahwa pengetahuan lingkungan masyarakat Pulau Pari yang tinggi, tidak dibarengi dengan partisipasi mereka yang tinggi pula dalam mengkonservasi ekosistem, namun berada dalam tingkatan patisipasi yang sedang. Kenyataan ini tampak sesuai dengan hasil analisa statistik non-parametrik dari Spearman yang menunjukkan kofisien korelasi yang lemah dan negatif (r = -0.105), yaitu berada pada rentangan 0 ? 0,25. Besarnya pengaruh variabel bebas (pengetahuan tentang lingkungan hidup) terhadap variabel terikat (partisipasi masyarakat dalam konservasi ekosistem pesisir) sebesar 10,5%. Artinya proporsi pengetahuan tentang lingkungan hidup hanya sebesar 10,5% atau kurang lebih 11 % berpengaruh terhadap partispasi dalam konservasi ekosistem pesisir, sedangkan sisanya dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak termasuk dalam penelitian ini. Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan Tentang Lingkungan Hidup, Partisipasi Masyarakat, Konservasi ekosistem Pesisir, Pulau Pari.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Salah satu upaya dilakukan untuk mengganti penggunaan antibiotik adalah mencari imbuhan pakan alternatif seperti pro-prebiotik, bahan pakan herbal dan berbagai imbuhan pakan lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ampas kedela dan bungkil inti sawit (AKBIS) yang difermentasi dengan Aspergillus niger (A. niger) terhadap mikroflora saluran pencernaan broiler. Sampel saluran pencernaan ayam diperoleh dari 80 ekor broiler yang dibagi menjadi empat perlakuan. Setiap unit perlakuan terdiri dari empat ekor ayam. Setiap perlakuan terdiri dari 5 ulangan yang diberi pakan perlakuan selama 21 dan 35 hari dengan penambahan empat konsentrasi pakan fermentasi yang berbeda (0%, 2%, 4%, 6% dari total pakan). Saluran pencernaan broiler diperiksa ALT mikroba, E.coli, Salmonella dan BAL. Data dianalisis dengan uji Anava melalui program SPSS for windows versi 17.0 dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa AKBIS yang difermentasi dengan A. niger berpengaruh nyata (P 0,05) terhadap jumlah mikroba saluran pencernaan broiler. Konsentrasi dan lama pemberian berpengaruh (P 0,05) terhadap jumlah mikroba saluran pencernaan broiler. Pemberian AKBIS fermentasi mampu mempertahankan jumlah mikroba yang menguntungkan seperti E. coli dan mengurangi mikroba patogen yaitu Salmonella, serta mampu meningkatkan jumlah bakteri asam laktat dalam saluran pencernaan broiler. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa AKBIS fermentasi dapat digunakan sebagai sumber probiotik sehingga mampu meningkatkan kualitas broiler dan aman bagi konsumen.The effect of soybean by products and palm kernel meal fermented with Aspergillus niger on broilers intestinal bacteria ABSTRACT. One of the efforts to replace antibiotics in animal feed is by providing other sources of feed additives such as pre- pro biotics, phytogenics, and other feed additives. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of soybean by products and palm kernel meal that fermented with A. niger on the microflora digestive tract of broilers. Chicken digestive tract samples obtained from 80 species of broiler fed treatment for 21 and 35 days. The tretaments in this experiment were different concentrations of fermented soybean by products and palm kernel meal (0%, 2%, 4%, 6%) in the commercial feed. Digestive tract of broiler examined TPC of microbe, E. coli, Salmonella and lactic acid bacteria (LAB). Data were analyzed by Anova with SPSS for Windows version 17.0 and continued with Duncan test. The results showed that soybean by products and palm kernel meal fermented with A. Niger significantly affected (P 0.05) to the number of microbial digestive tract of broilers. Fermented feed was able to maintain the number of non-pathogenic microflora and reduced the number of pathogenic microflora. In conclusion, fermentation of soybean by products with palm kernel meal was able to improve the broiler quality and safe for consumers.

Abstract

The effect of level substitution of single cell protein (CJ Prosin) by commercial feed on broiler performanceABSTRACT. A research to find out the effect of the substitution level of single cell protein in commercial feed on Broiler?s performance was conducted from June to December 2011. The purpose of this experiment is to find out alternative protein sources for animal feedstuff that can be used as protein substitution in animal feed on body weight, feed consumption and feed conversion efficiency. The experiment is considered as preliminary experiment to observe the response of single cell protein on broiler performance. This research was carried out at experimental farm, Animal Husbandry Department, Syiah Kuala University. Totally, 250 DOC of Cobb breed with the average body weight 36,78±2,32 gr. used in this experiment. Completely Randomized Design was applied in this experiment with 5 treatments; P0 (commercial feed), P1(commercial feed substituted with 6% SCP), P2 (commercial feed substituted with 12% SCP) dan P3 (commercial feed substituted with 18%CSP). Each treatment consist of 5 replications with total of 20 treatment?s units. Feed was formulated with isoprotein and isoenergy based on NRC requirement ( 23% protein ; 3200 kcal ME/kg at the age of 1-2 week and 20 % protein ; 3200 kcal ME/kg at the age of 4-7 week). Data was analyzed by using SPSS program SPSS (Window 2008). Differences between treatment were stated by Duncan?s multiple range test. The results of the experiment showed that commercial feed substituted with the level of SCP was not significantly difference (P 0.05) on body weight gain, feed consumption, and feed conversion ratio. On the other hand, administration of SCP as substituted feed commercial on the level of 12 % and 16 % influenced significantly (P 0.05) on body weight gain and feed conversion ratio, but not on feed consumption at the level of 12% SCP. As a conclusion, the use of SCP as animal feed sources in commercial feed only could be tolerated at the level of 6%.

Abstract

Effectivity of fermentation with different substrates source on rice straw qualityABSTRACT. The research on effectivity of fermentation with different substrates source on rice straw quality has been conducted at Animal Husbandry Field Laboratory, University of Syiah Kuala.  The objective of study is to learn rice straw fermented quality as animal feed with addition of different substrat.  Complete Randomize Design with factorial pattern consist of two factors which were A = storage time with 2 level ( a1 = one month; a2 = two month) and B = substrate sources  (b1 = Coccoa skin fruit, b2 = rice bean  and b3 = sagoo).  Variables observed were protein level, crude fiber and ash level.  The statistical analisis show that there is no significant effect of treatment on protein level, crude fiber and ash.  There is no interaction between source of substrates and storage time. These results revealed that all substrates source (coccoa skin fruit, rice bran and sagoo) could used as an energy for starter in rice straw fermented.

Abstract

Disposing of litter into the river has become a habit for people living around the banks of rivers, rivers, rivers, rivers, and so on. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between prevailing norms and spending on littering housewives around the banks of the Cidepit river. This research was conducted in the area of RW 07, Semplak Village, Bogor City in May-June 2018 with a survey method using quantitative. The numbers of samples in this study were 116 people, variables consisting of, and intentions of garbage, and types of data. The second variable is primary data obtained through questionnaires by respondents. Based on the results obtained Pearson r value of 0.319 with Sig. (2-tailed) equal to 0,000 or less than 0.05 Is there a positive relationship between subjective norms (subjective norms) and intentions of intentions in housewives around the banks of Cidepit River, RW 07, Semplak Village, Bogor city.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe low level of education has become a part of women's non dependent in economic. The purpose of this research is to get information about a womanâ??s human resources potential; local natural resources potential which is able to be developed in creative industry; the need of guidance module; and the need of guidance program. The benefits of this research are: increasing the skill and expertise of women in forming and managing a creative industry base on locality; increasing a self-confidence to participate in creative industry base on locality, and increasing a gender equality and justice in participate on family.This research is using Research and Development method. In this research, there are 100 (a hundred) samples which are included: 30 (thirty) from Matraman, 30 (thirty) from Suku Dinas Perindustrian Jakarta Timur, 30 (thirty) from Desa Cipaok Citapean Bogor, and 10 (ten) from Bekasi.The conclusions of this research are: the guidance module is varies, it takes two weeks in guiding; a creative industry module in culinary, clothing, and entrepreneurship; the strategy of interactive dialogue and practice experience; systematical, and sustainable, Measured and standardized, with simulation and field visiting.Keywords: Guidance model, optimizing the role of women, creative industry base on locality

Abstract

Abstrak.     Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi akurasi metode analisis pakan dengan metode (Near Infrared Reflectance Sectroscopy) NIRS dalam memprediksi kandungan nutrisi limbah kulit kopi serta mengetahui panjang gelombangnya.  Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan, Univeritas Syiah Kuala, dari Agustus hingga September 2017.  Penelitian ini menggunakan 30 sampel limbah kulit kopi yang terdiri dari 2 varietas kopi yaitu kopi arabika (Coffea arabica) dan kopi robusta (Coffea canephora). Spektrum diukur dengan menggunakan yaitu FT-IR IPTEK T-1516 pada rentang wavelengrh 1000-2500 nm dan di kalibrasi dan validasi dengan menggunakan software The Unscrambler X version 10.4.  Pretreatment yang digunakan yaitu Multiplicative scatter analysis (MSC) dan DeTrending (DT) dengan metode regresi Principal Component Regression (PCR). Parameter nutrisi yang dianalisis yaitu bahan kering (BK), protein kasar (PK) dan serat kasar (SK).  Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa NIRS dengan model yang telah dibangun tidak dapat menprediksi bahan kering dengan baik. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai r, R2 dan RPD yang rendah (0.58, 0.34 dan 3.06) serta RMSEC yang tinggi (3.06). Metode NIRS dapat memprediksi kandungan PK dan SK dengan baik pada penggunaan pretreatment MSC (PK= r: 0.87, R2: 0.76, RMSEC: 0.45 dan RPD: 2.07; SK= r: 0.87, R2: 0.75, RMSEC: 2.83 dan RPD: 2.03). Prediksi kasar untuk PK dan SK didapatkan dengan menggunakan pretreatment DT (PK= r: 0.75, R2: 0.57, RMSEC: 0.60 dan RPD: 1.55; SK= r: 0.84, R2: 0.71, RMSEC: 3.06 dan RPD: 1.88). Analysis of Coffee Pulp (Coffea sp.) Nutrition Content Using Near Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy (NIRS) Method Abstract.   The aim of present study was to evaluate the accuration of feed analysis method of Near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) in predicting nutritional content of Coffee pulp and to know its wavelength.  The study was conducted in  nutrition science and feed technology Laboratory,   Department of Animal Husbandry,  Faculty of Agriculture,  Syiah Kuala University,  august until september, 2017.   As many as 30 coffee pulps  were used in this study and seperated to 2 specieses of coffee, arabica coffee (Coffea arabica) and robusta coffee (Coffea canephora).  The spectrum was scanned using. FT-IR IPTEK T-1516 at 1000 to 2500 nm wavelength and calibrated and validated using The Unscrambler X version 10.4 software. Pretreatment used in this study was Multiplicative scatter analysis (MSC) dan DeTrending (DT) with Principal component regression (PCR) calibration method. Nutrition parameters analyzed were dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP) and dietary fiber (DF). The results of study showed that NIRS with prediction models that have been build cannot predicted DM content in coffee pulp. This was shown with low value of r, R2 dan RPD (0.58, 0.34 dan 3.06) and high value of RMSEC (3.60). NIRS method can predicted CP and DF content quite well using MSC pretreatment (CP= r: 0.87, R2: 0.76, RMSEC: 0.45 dan RPD: 2.07; DF= r: 0.87, R2: 0.75, RMSEC: 2.83 dan RPD: 2.03). Rough prediction for CP and DM content was obtained by using DT pretreatment (CP= r: 0.75, R2: 0.57, RMSEC: 0.60 dan RPD: 1.55; DF= r: 0.84, R2: 0.71, RMSEC: 3.06 dan RPD: 1.88).

Abstract

(Improvement of fermented bagasse quality as animal feed by fermentation through administration of sago flour at different levels)ABSTRACT. Feed plays an important role in livestock production system. Due to limitation of pasture and forege areas, it needs to find new feed alternative as replacement of forage as animal feed. One of feed alternatives as replacement of forage is bagasse. Bagasse has low nutritive content and digestibility. One of the efforts to improve bagasse quality is by fermentation. The purpose of this experiment was to improve nutritive values of bagasse by fermentation method by using Trichoderma harzianum as inoculum. This research was conducted at Animal Nutrition Laboratory, Animal Husbandry Department, Agricultural Faculty, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from January to April 2015. The experiment was designed by completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments (addition of sago flour at defferent levels); R1 control (0% sago flour), R2 (5% sago flour), R3 (10% sago flour), R4 (15% sago flour) of fermented material. Each treatment has 4 replications, therefore there were 16 units of treatment. Parameters observed in this experiment were nutritive values of fermented bagasse including the contents of dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber and ash. The results of the experiments indicated that fermented bagasse with Trichoderma harzianum by addition of various levels of sago flour had significantly effect (P 0, 05) on crude fiber and ash contents. However, there were not significantly difference (P 0, 05) on dry matter and crude protein contents. In conclusion, addition of various levels of sago flour by using Trichoderma harzianum at fermented bagasse was able to improve nutritive values of fermented bagasse.
