Abstract

This study aims to strengthen the character of the students so that they have a national identity. Strengthening of character in society can be built through the utilization of local history which have moral values. Historical sources such as Kitab Kuntara Raja Niti contains values that are believed to create an attitude of peace, friendship, responsibility, tolerance, the spirit of nationalism, care for the environment, social care, religious, recognize excellence, independence and discipline. The importance of this study is based on the assumption that cultural heritage is an educational component that can foster a sense of belonging and respect their own cultural history. Kitab Kuntara Raja Niti consist of ideas and guidance of mankind's relationship with God, the community and the natural environment that can be a filter to face of global cultural transformation and playa role in strengthening national identity. So that these values are very relevant to be taken in history as character education for students. This study uses a qualitative method, by collecting documents related to the Kitab Kuntara Raja Niti either Indigenous Book, Journal, Manuscripts-Manuscripts or other documents relating to the object, and then analyzed through descriptive approach.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um033v1i12018063

Abstract

Abstrak: Collective memory masyarakat Ambon Maluku terhadap konflik yang terjadi tahun 1999-2003 telah menyadarkan bahwa nilai local wisdom Pela Gandong yang dimiliki ratusan tahun lamanya sangat penting dipertahankan. Bahkan, mengoptimalkan fungsinya guna mempertahankan rekonsiliasi konflik Ambon Maluku yang telah tercapai. Masyarakat Ambon Maluku mendefinisikan Pela Gandong sebagai model persahabatan, sistem persaudaraan, atau sistem persekutuan yang di kembangkan antar seluruh penduduk asli dari dua negeri atau lebih bahkan sebelum kedatangan kolonial. Saat konflik Ambon terjadi Pela Gandong menjadi bagian dari resolusi konflik. Dewasa ini, masyarakat Ambon Maluku telah memperluas fungsi Pela Gandong diberbagai bidang termasuk pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana implementasi nilai local wisdom Pela Gandong dalam pendidikan. Penelitian dilakukan pada Januari 2018 di SMPN 9 Ambon dengan 98 % siswanya beragama Kristen/Katolik dan SMPN 4 Salahutu Liang beragama 100 % Islam. Guna mendapatkan jawaban peneliti, dipergunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data melalui metode studi kepustakaan, wawancara, dan observasi-partisipatoris. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa implementasi nilai-nilai multikultural Pela Gandong dapat terlaksana dengan baik dalam institusi pendidikan formal.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um033v2i22019p179

Abstract

The objective of the study is to develop the educational model of cultural values based on the classical batik’s Surakarta arts tradition in order to strengthen the nation characters and national identity. The research was done by using the research and development method. In collecting the data, the researcher conducted several ways, as follow: interview, library research, forum group discussion and classroom action research. The qualitative analysis was used for conducting the need analysis as the first step of research and development activity and the quantitative analysis and the quasi-experiment were done to get the validation model. The result of this study showed that cultural values taught in junior high school were same as the character building education as a whole. The implementation of each character buildings stood on its own of each subjects and could be inserted into the guidance and counseling subject and the civics subject. Moreover, it was, then, defined that the educational model of cultural values based on the classical batik’s Surakarta arts tradition was integrated to the social science subject as the model development of the character building. Keywords: model, education, cultural values, classical batik Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pendidikan nilai-nilai budaya  di SMP  berbasis Tradisi  Seni Batik  Klasik  Surakarta sebagai Upaya Penguatan Karakter Bangsa dan Identitas  Nasional. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut penelitian dilakukan dengan Research and Development. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, metode simak, FGD, observasi, dan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Pada tahap penelitian pendahuluan dan pengembangan model digunakan  analisis Kualitatif. Tahap validasi model digunakan eksperimen semu dan analisis Kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pendidikan nilai di SMP implementasinya sama dengan pendidikan budi pekerti. Implementasi pendidikan budi pekerti pada masing-masing satuan pendidikan (SMP) belum ada kesamaan yakni berdiri sendiri sebagai mata pelajaran dan digabungkan dengan Bimbingan dan Konseling atau PKN. Untuk itu, di rumuskan Draf strategi dan model PNBBTBK (Pendidikan Nilai Budaya berbasis Tradisi Seni Batik Klasik) melalui Integrasi dalam pembelajaran IPS sebagai pengembangan model Pendidikan Budi Nilai Budaya. Kata Kunci: model, pendidikan, nilai budaya, batik klasik

Abstract

Pembelajaran sejarah humanis menjadi upaya meneguhkan sisi kemanusiaan dengan pengembangan pengalaman dan kemampuan alamiah baik fisik maupun nonfisik. Penelitian ini mengembangkan pengalaman belajar dengan rekontruksi pemikiran Kiai Ibrahim Tunggul Wulung pada mahasiswa pendidikan sejarah Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta di mata kuliah sejarah kolonial. Logika berpikir postkolonial mahasiswa untuk optimalisasi jati diri bangsa menjadi corpus penelitian. Temuan penting dari penelitian adalah kontruksi logika postkolonial digunakan sebagai dasar epistemologi menarasikan wacana jati diri bangsa. Analisis menunjukkan intepretasi mahasiswa terhadap narasi jati diri bangsa mampu mengidentifikasi tingkat ketercapaian sikap mahasiswa dalam taksonomi Bloom hasil revisi Peggy Dettmer (2006) di ranah afektif. Dalam perspektif peneliti, logika berpikir postkolonial merupakan sikap yang berkontribusi membentuk mentalitas penghayatan keberagaman sebagai akumulasi karakter jati diri bangsa, memberi peluang borderline menjadi frontline (negosiasi), sehingga memperkuat kebhinekaan sebagai identitas.

Abstract

Banjar people known as nomads and merchants in his life is famous for the principle that formed the character of the Banjar. Through the values contained in the philosophy/life principle of the Banjar people who can then be integrated into the world of education, one of which is historical education. The meaning and value of local wisdom existing in the community has a goal to increase learners to be able to develop their attributes derived from wisdom and local history of society, possessed the skill in understanding the society in the life of the process and possessing the characteristics and attitudes that are in line with the value of local wisdom. Amid the onslaught of technology and practicality of life offered, later emerged an approach that tried to highlight the local wisdom owned by the region, especially South Kalimantan. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to introduce the value of the urban life of Banjar philosophy and its integration in learning history as a form of cultural endurance. The method used in this writing that is with a qualitative approach and data collection is done by library study by collecting the relevant literature with this paper.

Abstract

Research is expected could become the foundation of renewal in the use of media teaching history in state vocational schools in Pontianak. Based on it, then the researcher wants to describe about media learning customarily using by teachers in the process teaching history. Researcher interested to arrange research with a title “Media Teaching History in State Vocational Schools in Pontianak“. Media uses teaching history in state vocational schools Pontianak has been good enough, since on average teachers using the existing facilities at the school in order to support learning activity. Learning activity history done by the teacher in this has been good enough, because it is already employing variations learning that are attractive. In the teaching process in two classes not only uses the media learning of a textbook,  but had done some innovation that is by using media Microsoft Office PowerPoint.

Abstract

AbstrakKepemimpinan merupakan komponen yang sangat penting bagi eksistensi suatu bangsa dan masyarakat. Realitasnya bangsa Indonesia sedang mengalami krisis kepemimipinan. Di satu sisi pemimpin mengalami kegamangan dalam memilih tipe kepemimpinan yang tepat untuk memimpin negeri ini. Di sisi lain semua orang mendambakan figur kepemimpinan yang dapat diandalkan, dipercaya, dan dapat mengaktualisasikan perubahan-perubahan konstruktif. Krisis kepemimpinan disebabkan antara lain; pertama, persoalan kepemimpinan yang dihadapi bangsa ini adalah karena model pemimpin yang sudah dibangun dimasyarakat adalah sesuatu yang salah. Proses untuk menghasilkan pemimpin tidak mendukung untuk menghasilkan produk pemimpin yang benar. Kedua, situasi Indonesia sekarang karena konsep kita belum terbangun menyiapkan pemimpin, sehingga muncul politisi aktor dadakan atau kepemimpinan transaksional. Upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan  menggali nilai-nilai kearifan lokal berupa kepemimpinan dan kebijakan hidup untuk dijadikan pegangan para pemimpin. Salah satu karya sastra Jawa yang mengandung ajaran kepemimpinan yaitu Serat Wedhatama karya Mangkunegara IV. Dengan demikian perlu dilakukan reaktualisasi terhadap ajaran kepemimpinan dalam Serat Wedhatama. Ajaran kepemimpinan dalam Serat Wedhatama diharuskan untuk memegang teguh, aturan dan kewajiban hidup warisan leluhur, yaitu wirya-arta-winasis. Wirya adalah keluhuran atau kekuasaan, arta adalahharta, dan winasis merupakan ilmu pengetahuan. Ketiga pedoman hidup ini haruslah dicapai semuanya, apabila satu hal dari tiga hal itu tidak dapat diraih, maka habislah harga diri manusia, lebih berharga dari daun jati kering, akhirnya hanya mendapatkan derita, jadi pengemis dan terlunta-lunta.Kata kunci: Reaktualisasi; Kepemimpinan; Serat Wedhatama

Abstract

Kearifan Lokal menjadi salah satu prinsip pengembangan dan Implementasi Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK). Hal ini didasari bahwa  salah satu  pengaruh dominan dari globalisasi adalah ?imperialism  kultural? atau "homogenitas budaya", yang berdampak pada hilangnya pengalaman dan pemahaman generasi muda terhadap keragaman budaya local. Kearifan lokal secara proaktif akan mengubah produk global menjadi bermakna dan sesuai dengan kehidupan sosial budaya setempat. Kearifan local, sebagai  ?tradisi yang ditemukan? menunjukkan bahwa kebudayaan masa lalu tidak benar-benar ditinggalkan meskipun zaman sudah berubah. Konstruksi budaya batik telah tumbuh dalam kesadaran masyarakat dengan segala kekhasan yang dimiliki. Batik mampu bertahan melintasi zaman dan akhirnya menjadi warisan pusaka.  Pemaknaan ulang secara dinamis atas core values  makna filosofis dan  simbolisme motif batik klasik dilakukan dengan konteks kekinian untuk penguatan  pendidikan Karakter.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um033v1i12018023

Abstract

This paper discusses about the assessment in the historical learning based on the constructivism paradigm and Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) approach. CDA approach consists of in-depth analysis, includes linguistic, social, and cultural analysis. Three related layers of a dynamic analysis compose the CDA: (1) analysis of the text, (2) analysis of the practice of discursive, and (3) analysis of social practices. In the context of the historical learning based on constructivism paradigm, the third layer used to assess the development of the system and the structure of the thinking of learners. CDA approach used to analyze and assess the work of learners. The work of learners that analyzed by the CDA approach is descriptive test. In the learning process, CDA needs a rubric based on the discourse analysis and the level of development of thinking learners. Based on the results of the research, the CDA used to assess the historical learning process, particularly in the constructivism paradigm. The learning assessment expected to be an alternative assessment, which is not only quantitatively assessing the student knowledge, but also to measure the development of the system and the structure of the thinking of learners.

Abstract

Serat Wedhatama is a serat that is written by Mangkunegara IV, where in Serat Wedhatama there are the cultural values of their nation. Their culture is then necessary to transform in students through education, in particular the history studies. This research is a Research and Development (R&D), using the model of the Borg & Gall development model oriented learning history based Serat Wedhatama values to improve ethics and morals in students and habitual in educational institutions. In the first stage measures undertaken include: (1) the mapping ethical values and morals in the Serat Wedhatama through the process of hermeneutics; (2) a description of the learning history at State High School 5 Surakarta; (3) the formulation of draft models learning history based Serat Wedhatama values. The results of this study are: (1) produce deconstruction of ethical values and morals in Serat Wedhatama, (2) description of the condition of learning history at a high school in Surakarta, (3) a draft model of a learning history based values of Serat Wedhatama.
