Abstract

This study aimed to search the influence of service quality toward customers’ satisfaction on Internet Service Provider (ISP) B-Net Palembang. This research is a case study. Data collecting was done by disseminating questionnaires to 128 respondents as the users of the service B-Net ISP service in Palembang. To obtain the sample, census technique was applied. After the questionnaires were completed by respondents, data analysis was conducted using quantitative and qualitative methods or discussion. The result of the analysis showed that the respondents’ perception was positive. They thought that the quality of services given by B-Net ISP Palembang was good enough. In fact, there were still some aspects that needed improving, particularly the ones concening the dimensions of reliability such as attitudes and employee services provided by ISP B - Net Palembang, assurence dimension namely, employees’ competence of B-Net ISP Palembang, and emphaty dimension, that is, the employees’ ability of B-Net ISP Palembang to understand customers’ needs. Meanwhile, the respondents´ expectation revealed that almost all dimensions of the internet services provided by ISP Palembang B-Net were important to improve and develop continually in order to further increase customers’ satisfaction. Consumers were generally satisfied with the products or services offered and even they recommended to others.

Abstract

The research entitled "Perceptions Differences of Accounting Student and Management Study Program on Quality of Education Services at Catholic University of Musi Charitas Palembang is a study of consumer behavior regarding the perception of the five dimensions of education quality including reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence from the university that he is chosen. The purpose of the study is to prove whether there is a difference in the perception of education quality from the students in Management and Accounting Study Program at the Catholic University of Musi Charitas. The type of research used is case study by using survey technique. Data collection techniques used is to spread the 5-point Likert questionnaire that is from Very disagree until Strongly agree. Population in this research is active student, Batch 2015/2016 until Batch 2016/2017 Management and Accounting Study Program Catholic University of Musi Charitas Palembang. Sampling technique used non probability sampling that is purposive sampling. Based on the results of the differences test using the Mann-Whitney test proved that the perception of students of Accounting Study Program on the quality of education in Unika Musi Charitas (Mdn = 2143) in general it is difference significantly with the students perception of Management Study Program  on the quality of education in Catholic University of Musi Charitas (Mdn = 2907) with significance 0.008 <0.05 (Ho is rejected). If it is seen from each variable,  then reliability, responsiveness, and guarantee prove the difference of perception between student of Accounting  and Management Study Program. While the variable of empathy and physical evidence do not prove the difference of perception between student of Accounting and Management Study Program.

Abstract

A study entitled “The Influence of Characteristics, Attitude and Skill of Pempek Entrepreneurs in Palembang toward Successful Business Achievement” is an entrepreneurship study related to the influencing factors of  succesful business achievement of pempek entrepreneurs in Palembang.  This purpose of this study is to find out whether or not the entrepreneurs’ characteristics, attitude and skill factors affect the succesful business achievement. Sample was selected by using purposive sampling technique. The hypothesis was tested by using multiple regression analysis. The t-test of SPSS calculation implied that the significant value  of characteristics was 0.709, attitude was 0.213 and entrepreneurship skill was 0.287 (less than 0.05). Therefore, the results of the study implied that there was no correlation between characteristics, attitude and entrepreneurship skill of pempek entrepreneurs in Palembang toward succesful business achievement.

Abstract

Penelitian dengan judul Pengaruh Keutamaan Etika BisnisTerhadap Kepuasan Pelanggan Rumah Makan Pempek Di Palembang  merupakan studi perilaku wirausahawan di Palembang dalam memberikan kepuasan bagi pelanggannya. Tujuan penelitian untuk membuktikan adanya pengaruh empat keutamaan Etika Bisnis yaitu kejujuran, fairness, kepercayaan, dan keuletan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan rumah makan pempek di Palembang. Penelitian ini akan memberikan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai keberhasilan usaha wirausahawan Rumah Makan Pempek dengan mengidentifikasi pengaruh dari karakteristik, sikap, dan keterampilan seorang wirausahawan Rumah Makan Pempek. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian studi Cross-Sectional denganmenggunakan teknik survey.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah denganmenyebarkan kuesioner berskala Likert 5. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode is data Partial Least Square.Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pelanggan Rumah Makan Pempek yang berdomisili di kota Palembang. Hasil is data untuk outter model diperoleh nilai composite reliability (CR) dan AVE diatas 0,5 sedangkan untuk inner model diperoleh hasil R2 = 0,507 ; APC = 0,001 ; ARS = 0,001 ; AARS = 0,001 ; AVIF = 1,46 ; GoF = 0,555 ; SPR = 0,875 ; RSCR = 0,98 ; SSR = 1  dan NLBCRD = 1. Hasil temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah faktor kejujuran berpengaruh secara positif dan sifnifikan terhadap kepuasan pelanggan rumah makan pempek di palembang.

Abstract

This public service activity was executedto generate the excitement of housewifes to improve the household economics condition. It is believed that everyone was their own strength for instance the ability in cooking, making crafts, gardening, and so on. But many people do not realize that those could be developed to reach better life. The method is in the form of counselling about the importance of housewif’s role in improving the household economic condition, skills, followed by training in designing appropriate business in accordance with their capabilities and skills. It includes the examples of creative products that can be practiced by housewifesbased on their talent and interests.

Abstract

Abstract
