Abstract

This study was aim to analyse science as a process skill, products/content, and attitudes on students? book at 4th grade Theme 3 Curriculum 2013. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengkaji penerapan hakikat IPA pada buku siswa kelas IV Tema 3 Kurikulum 2013. The design of this study was qualitative with the type of content study research. The data was collected through documentation. Data analysis techniques through reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that scence as a process skill, products/content and attutudes was available on that book, but the aspect of science process skill, science as product and science as hat attitudes was not complete. Science as a product/content found in this book merely on fact, concept, and principle. Science as attitudes found on this book are honest, opend minded, responsible, objective, cooperative, critical thinking, curiosity, careful, discipline, care for environment. Science as a process found of this book are still limited in: observing, classifying, concluding, and communicating.

Abstract

The swift flow of globalization has led to increasingly eroded Indonesian local culturalvalues. This has caused a shift in neglected cultural values and local wisdom. Therefore,an approach is needed, namely ethnoscience in the learning process. This studypurposed to determine whether The Elementary School of Muhammadiyah Alam SuryaMentari has applied ethnoscience in science learning and describe the implementationof ethnoscience based on science learning in The Elementary School of MuhammadiyahAlam Surya Mentari.The method used was descriptive qualitative research design. Theresults of the study showed that the planning of science learning based on ethnoscienceapproach in This School was still unplanned, but the school had unconsciously implementedethnoscience approach. The implementation of science based on ethnosciencelearning was by integrating between the material with the environment, culture, and socialin the environment. Evaluation of the implementation of ethnoscience based on sciencelearning included cognitive, affective, and psychomotor evaluation in accordance withevaluation standards in the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

This research was intend to know the implementation of scientific process skills in elementary school of Muhammadiyah 14 Surakarta. It was qualitative research. The subject of this research was students on grade IV B. the data was obtained by observation, interview, and documentation. Observation was conducted by observing learning process on subject Science. The interview used to get data of scientific process skill that is planned on subject Science.  The documentation that was used was lesson plan an others. Data validation was conducted through triangulation. The results of this research were: teacher has prepared lesson plan that implement science process skill on its learning process, the teacher planned all the basic aspect of science process skills, such as: observing, classifying, measuring, predicting, inferring, and communicating. Along the learning process, the learning process was not conducted as written on learning process. The teacher got some hindrance to implement science process skill such as the minimum understanding of the teacher on science process skill and also teacher’s skill on time and class management.

Abstract

Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi ada atau tidaknya: (1) perbedaan pengaruhpembelajaran IPA menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing melalui metode eksperimen dandemonstrasi; (2) perbedaan pengaruh antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan analisis tinggi danrendah; (3) interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan kemampuan analisis siswa. Penulismenggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMPN 14 Surakarta. Populasiadalah siswa kelas delapan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan datamenggunakan teknik tes, kuisioner, dan observasi. Analisis data menggunakan anava dua jalan. Hasildari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran IPA menggunakan pendekatan inkuiri terbimbing melalui metode eksperimen dan demonstrasi; (2) tidakada perbedaan pengaruh antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan analisis tinggi dan rendah; (3) tidakada interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan kemampuan analisis siswa Kata kunci: inkuiri terbimbing, eksperimen, demonstrasi, kemampuan analisis

Abstract

ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) ia an integratied system of the countries in Southeast Asia that enable and facilitate the free trade system. Since 2015 the AEC has been officially started, and many foreign companies has been opened in Indonesia. However, the quality of Human Resources (HR) in Indonesia is lacking to confront AEC’s system. It can be seen from the number of unemployed people in Indonesia and Indonesian citizen education level is still low. This shows a lack of quality in education. Departing from this problem, the authors conducted research at the international elementary school, SDII Al Abidin Surakarta. This school has excellent programs that can be developed and replicated in order to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR) since elementary school. This research aims to study programs that are run in order to deal with AEC. This research was conducted with a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed some excellent programs that are owned by SDII Al Abidin Surakarta which can be used as a weapon to face the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). The programs are international curriculum, three varians grade programs, and extracurricular.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of friendly school children in Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School of Surakarta. The research methods used qualitative method because the data presented are words. If seen from the problems studied, this research is a descriptive research. Data was collected by interviewing, observing, and documentation. Validate data with triangulation of sources and methods. The data in this research are information from principals, teachers and students at Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School of Surakarta The results of the research describe that in the new student Admission there is no special selection, especially in terms of academic for students who register, this school also proved to receive children with special needs, while in the process of learning teacher always use a variety of learning methods with interesting media and teachers evaluate at the end of the chapters and end sub themes, midterm exam, final exam, and tasks. For student practice, students are helped by a worksheet prepared by the teacher. The results of this research explained that Muhammadiyah Alam Surya Mentari Elementary School of Surakarta has completed the indikator that must be owned by Child Friendly School.

Abstract

 Abstract Science learning essentially requires students to cultivate curiosity so that it triggers to conduct investigations by doing science activities. The purpose of this research is to know the profile of student activity in learning basic concept of IPA through contextual teaching and learning approach (CTL) with group investigation (GI) model.The subject of this research is Program of primary teacher education UMMGL students consisting of two classes with 83 people. The research method is descriptive. Data collection techniques were conducted by setting the focus of research, selecting informants as data sources, collecting data, assessing data quality, analyzing data, interpreting data, and drawing conclusions on the findings.From the research results can be concluded that the profile of student activity in learning basic concept of science through CTL approach with the average GI model is in very good category.

Abstract

Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) adalah sebuah sistem yang terintegrasi dari negara-negara di Asia Tenggara yang memungkinkan dan memfasilitasi sistem perdagangan bebas. Sejak tahun 2015 MEA telah resmi dimulai, dan banyak perusahaan asing telah dibuka di Indonesia. Namun, kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di Indonesia masih kurang untuk menghadapi sistem MEA ini. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tingginya tingkat pengangguran di Indonesia dan tingkat pendidikan warganegara Indonesia yang masih tergolong rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan kurangnya kualitas pendidikan. Berangkat dari masalah ini, penulis melakukan penelitian di sekolah dasar berbasis internasional, SD Islam Internasional Al Abidin Surakarta. Sekolah ini memiliki banyak program yang dapat dikembangkan dan direplikasi dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) sejak dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari program sekolah ramah anak yang dijalankan untuk menghadapi MEA. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi sekolah ramah anak di SDII Al-Abidin sudah sangat baik. Tak hanya itu, sekolah ini juga memiliki beberapa program yang dapat digunakan sebagai senjata untuk menghadapi Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN. Kata Kunci : Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN dan Program Sekolah Ramah Anak
