Abstract

E-learning is a model of delivering learning content electronically with the help of computers and multimedia. ABC University has implemented the e-learning system for two (2) years in order to improve the quality of teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine the level of user acceptance, especially from the perspective of students. In other words, this study also wants to evaluate the implementation of e-learning systems in higher education as well as identifying any factors that encourage students to use e-learning system especially in ABC University. The research method used was survey with the approach of TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) as the technology acceptance evaluation model consisting of two main factors: perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. The results showed perceived usefulness significantly positive influence on user acceptance, while perceived ease of use did not significantly influence on user acceptance. The perceived ease of use also significantly positive influence perceived usefulness. The variance of user acceptance could be explained by two factors about 50.5%.

Abstract

Technological developments, especially the Internet, has resulted changes in transaction activities and business processes of an organization. Activities of transactions that required buyers and sellers meeting at a certain place and time can now be done without any limitation of space and time. Buyers are able to view, order products and make payments whenever and wherever she/he is. The seller can receive orders, check product availability, order packing, ship goods, and receive payment from a particular place without the need for face to face directly with the buyer. The transaction activities can be done if they are supported by a business environment, called the Electronic Network Business Environment (ENBE). In addition, the Electronic Network Business Environment (ENBE) also provides changes in the activities of the companys financial reporting. The field of accounting must be able to adjust to these changes. The Financial Accounting Standards (SAK) issued by IAI has gradually adjusted towards a changing business processes. Knowledge in the field of Accounting Information System design, including hardware, software, brainware, data and procedure are also experiencing change and development. This study aims to create a framework for designing accounting information systems in the era of the Electronic Networking Business Environment (ENBE) that can be used as a reference / guideline for developing a system. The KMS Development serves as a basis to create the framework for accounting information systems. A number of the KMS methods, such as capturing and sharing knowledge, are becoming a major discussion in this study. Data collection methods conducted in this study include qualitative methods, i.e., interview and action research. It is expected that this study is able to provide a good impact to people (especially accountants, programmers), process (efficiency and effectiveness), product quality, and ultimately organizational performance can be improved as a whole. Key Words: Knowledge Management Systems, Accounting Information System

Abstract

Knowledge organisasi paling banyak berupa knowledge tersirat (tacit knowledge) yang tersimpan di pemikiran (otak) pegawai dan diperlukan dalam aktivitas-aktivitas organisasi, karenanya knowledge tersirat pegawai sebuah organisasi/perusahaan merupakan aset yang berharga. Namun, banyak perusahaan yang tidak mengetahui potensi knowledge tersembunyi pegawainya. Akibatnya, ketika seorang pegawai yang memiliki knowledge meninggalkan perusahaan maka perusahaan akan kehilangan knowledge pegawai tersebut. Selain itu, perusahaan juga tidak dapat mengidentifikasi pegawai yang memiliki kompetensi teknikal yaitu pegawai yang memiliki knowledge dan menjadi referensi knowledge bagi pegawai lainnya, sehingga potensi pengetahuan dan keahlian pegawai tersebut tidak dapat dimanfaatkan secara maksimal oleh perusahaan yang akhirnya akan berpengaruh pada karir pegawai tersebut yang cenderung tidak meningkat. Keadaan tersebut kini menjadi masalah yang harus segera diselesaikan oleh Biro Kepegawaian (Rowai) pada sebuah institusi pemerintah. Rowai harus dapat mengetahui siapa saja pegawainya yang memiliki knowledge. Knowledge tersirat yang dimiliki oleh pegawai dan masih berada di kepala masing-masing dapat terlihat jika mereka secara bersama-sama melakukan suatu pekerjaan atau kegiatan di mana di dalamnya terdapat proses knowledge sharing. Knowledge sharing itu sendiri dianggap sebagai hubungan sosial antar orang dan dapat dimodelkan sebagai jejaring hubungan (network of relationships). Model jejaring knowledge sharing dapat diketahui dengan cara memeriksa struktur dari relasi sosial knowledge sharing di dalam perusahaan dengan menggunakan Social Network Analysis (SNA). SNA dapat mendukung knowledge sharing dengan fokus pada berbagai penggunaan inti dari pengelolaan knowledge (knowledge management), salah satunya adalah mengidentifikasi kepakaran dan knowledge pribadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan SNA untuk mengidentifikasi model knowledge sharing berbasis kompetensi di Rowai. Berdasarkan model knowledge sharing yang dihasilkan dan dengan menggunakan hasil perhitungan kuantitatif beberapa fungsi SNA dan statistik, keadaan jejaring network (knowledge network) dan knowledge sharing di Rowai dapat diketahui. Selain itu, pegawai Rowai yang kompeten yaitu pegawai yang memiliki knowledge dan menjadi referensi knowledge bagi banyak pegawai, juga dapat diketahui. Hasil-hasil tersebut dapat membantu Rowai untuk mengelola knowledge pegawainya, memberdayakan karir pegawai yang kompeten, dan meningkatkan komitmen terhadap kegiatan knowledge sharing di Rowai.

Abstract

The success of information systems development activities are influenced by technology and human resources. Experience and knowledge of team members is the key to performance improvements in the software development process. So the experience and knowledge are considered to be one of the main capitals in the success of a software development team. However, what if the information system development team are students who may not have experience at all ? Is the information system developed by an un-experienced team always fail ? Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a study to identify the factors that influence the student teams in information systems development project. The study was conducted with the literature study to establish research model. Furthermore, a survey conducted by distributing questionnaires to students of information systems whom are doing an internship in developing information systems. The results of the survey were analyzed quantitatively using Partial Least Square technique to test the proposed research model. The results of this study indicate that the development of information systems conducted by a team of students is significantly influenced by the Customer Relationship and Horizontal Relationship. Capability factor have a significant effect although the effect is small on the student teams.

Abstract

Pengimplementasian e-government merupakan suatu bentuk perubahan baru yang diharapkan dari sebuah negara yang berkembang, karena semakin berkembangnya informasi dan semakin pesatnya kemajuan TIK, harapan perubahan untuk menjadi good government sangat diinginkan masyarakat. Presiden sebagai pemberi mandat mengeluarkan Instruksi Presiden Nomer 3 Tahun 2003 tentang Kebijakan dan Strategi Nasional Pengembangan e-government kepada seluruh lembaga-lembaga di seluruh pemerintahan di Indonesia untuk harus segera mengimplementasikan egovernment agar meningkatkan efisiensi, efektifitas, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas dalam penyelenggaraan pemerintahan. Penelitian ini mengajukan faktor kesiapan dalam mengimplementasikan e-Government pada Kementerian Agama yang ada di Indonesia melalui indikator-indikator yang dinilai oleh pihak expert sebagai orang yang paham tentang e-government. Pada penelitian ini mengelompokkan indikator berdasarkan dimensi-dimensi diantaranya Dimensi Teknologi, Dimensi Organisasi, Dimensi Environtment (Lingkungan), dan Dimensi People (Pengguna atau SDM).

Abstract

The administration management as an activity and institute’s main task which is also called as Back Office System, supported by several information systems. The data need and information in one information system cannot be fulfilled only by one information source, but it needs a composition from a two or more sources in one institute/organization. To solve this problem, we need an architecture model which can solve integration system between different information systems. This Integrated Information System Design Research Method uses Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) approach as the architecture base, Model View Controller (MVC) method as the model in the programming (coding). The applied development method SOA utilizes Service Oriented Modelling and Architecture (SOMA) development system, it is a system design method which classifies business process in to a service group. The SOA application is because of its loosely coupled, highly interoperable, reusable and interoperability characteristics cause SOA reliable in information development and integration. While the integrated information system which is built using MVC method, easier to be maintained and developed. This research produce employment service, asset service, supplies service, financial service and also system prototype as a dashboard for employment service with SOA approach and MVC method which uses Representational State Transfer (REST) technology

Abstract

STIMIK Tunas Bangsa memiliki informasi yang penting dan komplek dalam pengelolaan pendidikan. Informasi yang dimiliki oleh STIMIK Tunas Bangsa berada pada beberapa bagian yang saling terkait. Dengan perkembangan informasi yang semakin kompleks, perlu adanya audit keamanan dalam pengelolaan informasi tersebut. Audit dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat kematangan keamanan pengelolaan informasi. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memetakan keamanan informasi menggunakan framework ISO/IEC 27002. Kemudian dilakukan audit untuk mengetahui posisi keamanan informasi pada STIMIK Tunas Bangsa. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tingkat kematangan keamanan informasi menggunakan framework ISO/IEC 27002 sebesar 2,6 yang menunjukan bahwa STIMIK Tunas Bangsa telah melakukan pengelolaan keamanan informasi tetapi belum terdefinisi dan terdokumentasi dengan baik, sehingga perlu ditingkatkan. Kata kunci : ISO/IEC 27002, Maturity Level, STIMIK Tunas Bangsa, Keamanan Informasi.

Abstract

Salah satu kelebihan forum online adalah sifatnya yang asynchronous, semua orang dapat membagikan pengetahuan maupun menanyakan informasi, kapan saja dan di mana saja. Knowledge sharing di forum, umumnya melalui pengiriman pesan. Namun, pola knowledge sharing tersebut sering tidak terpantau oleh pengelola forum, yang kebanyakan hanya mengandalkan data statistik biasa dalam menilai kinerja forum mereka, seperti jumlah kunjungan atau jumlah balasan suatu thread. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini akan digunakan metode Social Network Analysis (SNA) yang paling tepat dalam mengukur model atau pola knowledge sharing tersebut. Objek penelitian ini adalah suatu forum terbesar di Indonesia, yaitu Forum Kaskus, khususnya pada threads Forum Programmer yang berada di sub forum Computer Stuff. Visualisasi dan analisis dari pola interaksi di dalam forum tersebut akan dibahas dalam penelitian ini. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah didapatkannya suatu model knowledge sharing dalam forum tersebut, yang sangat berguna untuk menilai Forum Kaskus khususnya pada knowledge sharing di dalamnya. One of the advantages of online forums is that they are asynchronous, which people can share knowledge and ask for information, anytime and anywhere. Knowledge sharing in the forum, generally through the delivery of the message. However, the pattern of knowledge sharing is often not monitored by the management forum, which mostly rely on statistical data used to assess the performance of their forum, such as the number of visits or the number of replies a thread. Therefore, in this study will use methods of Social Network Analysis (SNA) is the most appropriate measure or model the patterns of knowledge sharing. Object of this study is a forum in Indonesia, that is Kaskus Forum particularly in Programmer Forum threads that are in the sub forum Computer Stuff. Visualization and analysis of patterns of interaction in the forum will be addressed in this study. The results of this study is the obtainment of a model of knowledge sharing in the forum, which is very useful for assessing Kaskus Forum especially on knowledge sharing in it.

Abstract

Iklim persaingan antar perusahaan telekomunikasi yang saat ini semakin kuat sangat terkait dengan mekanisme perusahaan dalam memberikan layanan purna jual atas jasa yang diberikan serta bagaimana perusahaan dapat membuka hubungan langsung dengan pelanggannya. Perusahaan membangun suatu cara yang dapat menjaga loyalitas pelanggannya. Pendekatan tren teknologi yang dapat menyajikan layanan ini adalah melalui CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Analisis usability pada aplikasi berbasis web dengan mengadopsi model penerimaan pengguna aplikasi, difokuskan pada analisis aspek usability pengguna yang bertindak sebagai pelanggan yang menikmati produk dan layanan suatu perusahaan. Saat ini, sudah cukup banyak teori model penerimaan pengguna terhadap suatu aplikasi. Salah satunya adalah dengan model kepuasan pengguna (User Satisfaction). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan survei kepuasan pengguna terhadap aplikasi. Berdasar pada landasan teori yang ada, uji statistik pada model kepuasan pengguna memanfaatkan teori Structural Equation Model (SEM) dan perangkat lunak LISREL 8.80. Hasil penelitian menemukan beberapa kaitan antara variabel laten pengukuran dengan variabel lainnya.Penelitian ini secara khusus menemukenali pula bahwa sajian content memberikan pengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengunjung website, dibanding aspek Ease of Use, Customization dan Download Delay. Hasil penelitian juga menghasilkan rekomendasi perbaikan atas aplikasi yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemanfaatan (usability) aplikasi. The Atmosphere of competition among telecommunications companies that are currently growing strongly associated with the mechanism of the company in providing after-sales service for services given and how the company can open a direct relationship with customers. Company builds a way that can keep the loyalty of its customers. Approach to technology trends that can provide these services are through the CRM (Customer Relationship Management). Analysis of usability in web-based applications by adopting a model of user acceptance of applications, focused on the analysis of usability aspects of the user who acts as the customer who enjoys the companys products and services. Currently, there are some theoretical models of user acceptance of an application. One way is to model user satisfaction (User Satisfaction). The data was collected with a user satisfaction survey of the application. Based on the existing foundation theory, statistical tests on the model of user satisfaction utilizing the theory of Structural Equation Model (SEM) and LISREL 8.80 software. The study found some association between the latent measurements variables with other variables. This study specifically identifies that the content provided also provides a significantly positive influence on satisfaction of website visitors, than the aspect of Ease of Use, Customization and Download Delay. The results also generate recommendations for improvement for applications that are expected to increase the usefulness (usability) applications.

Abstract

Bermula dari kebutuhan lembaga riset untuk mengelola pengetahuan dengan sumber utama berupa human capital, BPPT memerlukan suatu sistem yang dapat mengakomodasinya. Pengembangan sistem yang lebih dikenal dengan knowledge management system bertujuan untuk sharing data, informasi, dan pengetahuan serta komunikasi yang terjadi pada lembaga tersebut. Model berupa prototipe sistem yang berbasis web ini menggunakan teknologi semantic web dengan penerapan ontologi serta menggunakan web 2.0 sebagai media untuk kolaborasi antara sesama knowledge worker. Model knowledge management system yang dihasilkan dari pengembangan ini adalah knowledge sharing system yang terdiri dari portal semantic web serta blog yang masih bersifat independent. Starting from research institutions need to manage knowledge with the main source of human capital, BPPT requires a system that can accommodate it. Development system that is better known as knowledge management system aimed at sharing data, information, and knowledge as well as the communication that occurs in these institutions. The model that is a prototype of webbased system uses semantic web technology with the application of ontologies and uses web 2.0 as a medium for collaboration among knowledge workers. Model of knowledge management system resulting from this development is the knowledge sharing system that consists of semantic web portals and blogs that are still independent.
