Abstract

Desain ini diharapkan menghasilkan analisis balok transfer pratekan yang mengatasibeban besar koloum, beban besar balok yang disebabkan dari ruang tengah tanpa coloum.Ini adalah desain untuk mewajibkan luas ruangan di bawah lantai konstruksi bangunan. Proyek akhir iniAnalisis adalah desain ulang balok transfer pada proyek hotel industri yang dirancang menggunakan manualmenganalisis berkas. Struktur bangunan adalah 9 lantai beton jala yang dirancang untuk utilitas hotel.Balok transfer terletak di lantai 5 gedung yang akan digunakan untuk ruang fungsi danukuran kamar 32 x 25,4 m2.Basis desain teknis pada data nyata dari hotel industri proyek dan itu akan menjadimenganalisis dan merancang menggunakan desain teori elastis oleh T. Y Lin, dengan menggunakan mekanik teknisteori portal ekivalen dan untai standar dari VSL. Penekanan berkas yang disebabkan olehbanyak balok transfer akan diperiksa secara manual dan kemudian akan diperiksa ulang menggunakan strukturprogram SAP 2000.Output dari desain ini adalah 80 x 120 cm balok transfer pratekan dengan 4 tendonyang terdiri dari 2ScU5 - 12 dan 2ScU5 - 16, dengan tekanan maksimum pada kondisi layanan -7.10 MPa dan tegangan maksimum yang lebih rendah pada balok dimensi adalah + 0,96 MPa. Stres ituterjadi pada balok dimensi masih dalam batas yang memungkinkan (-15,21 MPa untuk kompresi dan+2,91 MPa untuk ketegangan).Kesimpulan dari desain ini adalah balok transfer pratekan dapat disimpanbeban besar koloum dengan tegangan pratekan kabel balok, sehingga ruangan bisabebas dari coloum dapat diperlukan.

Abstract

Mahoni daun lebar (Swietenia macrophylla King) merupakan salah satu jenis yang banyak dikembangkan pada hutan tanaman maupun hutan rakyat. Meskipun jenis ini bukan jenis asli Indonesia tapi dilaporkan memiliki keragaman genetik yang tinggi. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui variasi morfologi buah dan benih S. macrophylla serta daya perkecambahannya dari beberapa populasi di Jawa dan Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian disusun menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan asal populasi dan pohon induk sebagai perlakuan. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan adanya variasi antar populasi dan pohon induk pada karakter berat buah, panjang buah, diameter buah, jumlah biji dalam satu buah serta daya berkecambahnya kecuali jumlah benih per kilogram. Rerata berat buah setiap populasi berkisar antara 275-385 g, panjang buah 12-15 cm, diameter buah 7-9 cm, jumlah biji per buah 59-64 butir, dan daya berkecambah 44-96%. Rerata berat buah per pohon induk berkisar antara 153-490 g, panjang buah 10-20 cm, diameter buah 6-10 cm, dan jumlah biji per buah 52-69 butir. Fenotipik buah S. macrophylla beragam antar populasi dengan daya erkecambah benih terbaik ditunjukkan oleh populasi Lombok Tengah dan Banjar sebesar 86-96%.Kata kunci: daya berkecambah; keragaman fenotipik; morfologi buah; Swietenia macrophylla Variation of Fruits Phenotipic and Seeds Germination of Swietenia macrophylla King. Taken from Several Populations in IndonesiaAbstractBroad leaf mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla King.) is one of popular species developed in the state forest plantations and smallholder forest. Although it is not native in Indonesia, but the species has high genetic diversity. This study was conducted to determine the morphological variation of fruits, seeds, and also seeds germination of broad leaf mahogany from several populations in Java and West Nusa Tenggara. The research was arranged in completely randomized design with native populations and parent trees as treatments. The results showed significant variations between the populations and parent trees on fruit weight, fruit length, fruit diameter, number of seeds in the fruit, and seeds germination rate except the number of seeds per kilogram. The average per population of fruit weight ranged from 275 to 385 g, fruit lengths from 12 to 15 cm, fruit diameter from 7 to 9 cm, the number of seeds per fruit 59 to 64 grains and 44 - 96 % of seeds germination rate. The average per parent trees of fruit weight ranged from 153 to 490 g, fruit lengths from 10 to 20 cm, fruit diameter from 6 to 10 cm, and the number of seeds per fruit 52 to 69 grains. Fruit phenotipic of S. macrophylla varies between populations with the best seed germination indicated by the populations of Central Lombok, Bantul and Banjar amounted to 86-96%.

Abstract

Two Falcataria moluccana (sengon) progeny trials, incorporating 100 different families from 12 provenances growing on two highly gall rust (Uromycladium falcatarium) prone sites were used to estimate genetic parameters and potentially identify rust-resistant material. The analysis was performed to assess provenance- and family-level survival, rust incidence, and growth at the two progeny trials. Height, diameter, survival, and rust incidence was measured at two progeny trials at 18 months-of-age located at Jember and Lumajang, East Java. Rust incidence at the two trial sites was severe, with only 39% overall survival (35% and 43% at Jember and Lumajang, respectively). The analysis revealed significant genetic variation at the provenance level for survival, rust incidence, and growth. No statistically meaningful narrow-sense heritability of these traits was indicated, though this is probably reflective of the inadequate within-family replication and effects associated with uneven stocking resulting from rust-induced mortality. The significant genotype-by-environment (provenance-by-site) interaction was also indicated, though the performance of some of the best- and worst-performing provenances was relatively stable, allowing recommendations of suitable provenances for further testing on rust-prone sites.

Abstract

Kementerian Kehutanan, melalui Badan Litbang Kehutanan yang dituangkan dalam Roadmap 2010-2025 telah mencanangkan kegiatan untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya perubahan iklim global. Berbagai Rencana Penelitian Integratif (RPI) telah ditetapkan termasuk RPI Adaptasi Bioekologi dan Sosial Ekonomi Budaya terhadap Perubahan Iklim yang diinisiasi pada tahun 2010. Dalam RPI ini salah satu penelitian dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai spesies pohon dari berbagai provenans yang potensial untuk mengantisipasi perubahan iklim dengan penekanan untuk tujuan pengujian pada daerah kering. Abstract

This study uses data that has been taken in the period from October 31stuntil 7 November 2013 Bengkalis Bodies housed in Riau Province . This Methodis the method of acoustic survey and measurement of environmental parameters at5 stations that has been set. Distribution of value TS dernersal fish are in the range-70.00 dB to 30.00 dB. The fish demersal dominate in Bengkalis waters are indepth strata 40-50 meters and in the strength of the target range -70.00 dB to -30.00 dB with the highest number of targets on the 2nd leg of the total target of 11027 targets. Variations in the distribution of the value of TS mengindeksikan thatthe fish were detected including inshore fish schooling . Bengkalis depthrelatively shallow waters led to changes in temperature and salinity distribution ofvalues in each station is not significant. Distribution of temperature and salinityvalues Bengkalis waters tend to be uniform with an average temperature of 30.16° C and an average salinity of 26.2 ppt.Keywords : Distribution, acoustic, target strength.

Abstract

Araucaria cunninghamii is one of the endemic needles tree species grown naturally in Papua. The material used in the study is wood of A.cunninghamii that was planted in the first-generation of progeny test in Bondowoso, East Java. This study aims to determine the characteristic chemical properties of A.cunninghamii wood from some provenances as raw material for pulp. Disk of wood samples were taken from the stem at 50 cm above the ground with 5 cm of thickness. Testing chemical properties include the levels of toluene extractives soluble in ethanol, hot water soluble extractives, holocellulose, cellulose and lignin. Data were analyzed to determine the effect of provenance to chemical properties of wood. The results of study showed that wood sample of A.cunninghamii contained 73.33% holocellulose, 46.39% cellulose, lignin 30.56%, 1.19% ethanol solubility and 1.34% hot water solubility. Based on the composition of chemical substances contained in the wood, A.cunninghamii generally has good quality to be used as raw materials of pulp and paper.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui media perkecambahan yang bagus untuk persemaian pulai (Alstonia scholaris (L.) R. Br). Penelitian dilaksanakan di rumah kaca Pusat Litbang Bioteknologi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman Rutan, Yogyakarta mulai Februari sampai April 2004. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, dimana setiap ulangan terdiri dari 100 benih. Parameter yang diukur meliputi persen berkecambah, kecepatan berkecambah, persen tumbuh dan tinggi semai. Berdasarkan hasil analisis, dari beberapa parameter yang diamati berbeda nyata. Media campuran pasir + kompos (3 :  1) merupakan media terbaik sebagai media perkecambahan

Abstract

ABSTRACT Combination of species-provenance test of tengkawang-producing Shorea species was established in 2011 in Gunung Dahu Research Station (West Java). Evaluation was conducted periodically every each six months for 18 months. The genetic materials used S. macrophylla, S. gybertsiana, S. stenoptera, S. pinanga derived   from 4 provenances (Gunung Bunga-West Kalimantan, Sungai Runtin-West Kalimantan, Bukit Baka-Central Kalimantan, and Haurbentes-West Java). The experiments were arranged in a Randomized Complete Blok Design (RCBD) with 11 plots, 4 replicated, 25 trees per plot (5 x 5 trees) and spacing of 5 x 5 meters. The traits observed were survival percentage and height at the age of 6, 12 and 18 months. The analysis showed that the survival percentage was not significantly different, while the growth height showed significant differences. Species of Shorea (S. macrophylla, S. stenoptera, and S. pinanga) from Haurbentes (West Java) land race had the best performance in growth until the age at 18 months.ABSTRAKKombinasi uji spesies-provenan jenis-jenis shorea penghasil tengkawang dibangun pada tahun 2011 di Stasiun Penelitian Meranti di Gunung Dahu, Bogor, Jawa Barat. Evaluasi dilakukan secara periodik setiap enam bulan selama 18 bulan untuk mengetahui kemampuan adaptasi dari jenis dan provenan yang diuji. Materi genetik yang digunakan adalah jenis-jenis shorea penghasil tengkawang (S. macrophylla, S. gybertsiana, S. stenoptera, S. pinanga) yang berasal dari 4 provenan (Gunung Bunga-Kalimantan Barat, Sungai Runtin-Kalimantan Barat, Bukit Baka-Kalimantan Tengah,  dan  Haurbentes-Jawa  Barat).  Penelitian  menggunakan  Rancangan Acak  Lengkap Berblok (RCBD) dengan 11 plot, 4 ulangan, 25 pohon per plot (5 x 5 pohon) dan jarak tanam 5 x 5 meter. Sifat yang diukur adalah persen hidup dan tinggi tanaman pada umur 6,12 dan 18 bulan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa persen hidup tidak berbeda nyata, dan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata. Jenis-jenis shorea pengasil tengkawang (S. macrophylla, S. pinanga dan S. stenoptera) dari ras lahan Haurbentes (Jawa Barat) menunjukkan pertumbuhan terbaik sampai dengan umur 18 bulan.

Abstract

Araucaria cunninghamii as long fiber pulp raw material needs to be considered in the future which is currently imported from other countries to supply long-fiber pulp raw material in Indonesia. The improved seed sources need to be prepared early to determine the genetic gain. Combination provenance-progeny test of A.cunninghamii in Bondowoso, East Java is one of the researches that it was built to produce improved seed of A.cunninghamii in the future. The trial is laid out in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 28 families, 4 trees per plot and 8 replicate with a spacing of 4 x 3 m. The results show that the average of height and diameter growth at the age of 5 and 10 years were 5.47 m; 8.20 cm and 16.05 m; 20.59 cm, volume/ha of the trees were 8.02 m3/ha and 74.52 m3/ha, and mean annual increment for volume were 1.60 m3/ha/year and 7.45 m3/ha/year. At 5 years old, stem diameter was significant between provenances, while at the age of 10 years significant differences for both traits. At the age of 5 and 10 years of family and individual heritability values were moderate, h2f = 0.40 - 0.50, h2i = 0.2 - 0.3; and h2f = 0.40 - 0.47, h2i = 0.28 - 0.29, while within family heritability (h2wf) was 0.41 - 0.48). Genetic correlation at age of 5 and 10 years was quite high (rg=0.62; 0.82). Estimation of genetic gain for height and diameter by within family selection was 0.10% and 0.07% for 5 years and 0.53% and 1.01% for 10 years.

Abstract

Breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) is one of multipurpose tree species that their  wood, bark, fruit and leaves can be utilized for human life. The main product of breadfruit is its fruit as one of the potential food sources that has a fairly high nutrient content and is widely consumed as an additional food and even traditional staple foods such as in some countries the Pacific region. The challenge in developing breadfruit as an alternative food source for the community is to prepare the plant material of superior breadfruit clones which have high fruit production and have enough nutrients and chemicals as a source of food and medicinal ingredients. Based on the clones selection at the clonal test plantation in Gunungkidul, Yogyakarta obtained 5 excellent breadfruit populations representing breadfruit cultivars in Indonesia, namely Cilacap, Yogyakarta, Bali island, Bone  and Manokwari. To ensure the availability of seedlings of superior breadfruit clones, the development of planting stocks production techniques is carried out by root cuttings, shoot cuttings and stem cuttings in the nursery that showed better growth succeess (70-100%). Furthermore, information dissemination is carried out to increase efforts to develop breadfruit by the community / user. Breadfruit planting activities are carried out to increase the availability of food reserve forests in the future, both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders  who interested in  developing of breadfruit plantations.
