Abstract

This study aims was to investigate the improvement of hepar histopathology experimental diabetic rats given moringa oleifera leaves ethanolic extract. 24 male white rats induced by a single dose STZ of 45mg/kg intraperitoneal to cause diabetes mellitus. After declared with diabetes disease, rats were divided into 6 groups consist of 1 a control group and a treatment group of 5 who were given ethanol extracts of leaves of the kelor, with a dose of 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500mg/kg, for 5 weeks. Rats then sacrificed and the hepar were taken for the histopathology preparations with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining (HE). Each preparation histopathology examined under a microscope in five visual fields at 400x magnification. The processed data is then analyzed statistically by test Non parametric Kruskal Wallis followed by Mann-Whitney test, when there is a significant difference (P<0.05). The results showed that the hepar has improved a result of the damage diabetes mellitus after given Moringa oleifera leaves ethanolic extract with a dose of 400 mg/kg.

Abstract

There have been studies of the histological structure of male and female goat skins. The histological structure and histomorphometry were taken from two region of skin, which is the thorax and abdomen. The Samples were collected from 2-3 years old Etawah goat, and than was stained using a HarrisHematoxilin Eosin method. The data were analysis based on the region and sex. The results showed that the histological structure of Etawah cross breed consists of three layers were epidermis, dermis, and hipodermis respectively. The epidermis composed by stratum corneum, granulosum, spinosum, and basal. We were found keratin layer on the surface of epidermis. The dermis consists of papillare and reticulare stratum. That was found many sebaceous glands, sudorifera gland, pili muscle, hair follicles, blood vessels, and collagen fibers. The hypodermis layers of Etawah cross breed females skin mostly consists of the fatty tissue, whereas in males we have found thick and horizontally arranged connective tissue. The skin layer on male Etawah cross breed, thorax region thicker than the abdomen. The region and sex may have an effect on the histology structure and histomorphometry of Etawah cross breed skin.

Abstract

This study aims to prove that the Moringa leaf extract can improve renal histological structure of diabetic Wistar rats. Wistar rats were divided into six groups, so that each group has four replications. K1 as the positive control was not given the extract, K2 was administered the extract dose 100 mg/kg, K3 was administered the extract dose 200 mg/kg, K4 was administered the extract dose 300 mg/kg, K5 was administered the extract dose 400 mg/kg, K6 was administered the extract dose 500 mg/kg. The administrations of extract were held for five weeks. Rats then sacrificed and the kidneys were taken for the histopathology preparations with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining (HE). The observations indicate fatty degeneration and necrosis of the kidneys. Kruskal Wallis test results of all treatments showed p = 0.001 in both fatty degeneration and necrosis (p <0.05).

Abstract

This study aimed to determine changes in testicular histopathological of the rat strain wistar diabetes mellitus experienced. This study used 24 white rats (Rattus norvegicus) strain Wistar which were divided into six groups: administration of Moringa oleifera leaves P1 (extract dose 0 mg/kg bw) , P2 (100 mg/kg bw) , P3 (200 mg/kg bw), P4 (300 mg/kg bw) , P5 (400 mg/kg bw) and P6 ( 500 mg/kg bw) . In the end of administration, the diabetic Wistar rats were sacrificed and their testes were taken to make the histopathological preparations using haematoxylin and eosin staining. The observed variables are fat degeneration and necrosis. The results show that moringa leaves can improve histopathology testis structure of diabetes mellitus white rats. Extract of Moringa leaves (Moringa oleifera) dose of 400 mg/kg body weight has the best effect repair damage to the histopathological testis.

Abstract

Plants kelor (moringa oleifera) has long best known to the public and has long been also used in traditional medicines and consumed as a vegetable and fodder for cattle. Flour leaves kelor itself has several substances hypotensif, anticancer, antioxidant, and antibakterial. This research aims to understand the influence of the addition of flour leaves kelor against creatinin levels and urea mice wistar blood. Sample used is 20 the tail of a mouse white galur wistar ( rattus novergicus ) the was 1-1,5 the moon and have weight 50-80 grams. Twenty the tail of a mouse wistar was divided into 5 the treatment group. The group differentiated based on concentration flour leaves kelor namely 0 %, 2.5 %, 5 %, 10 %, and 20 %. Data creatinin levels and urea analyzed use fingerprint variety of (ANOVA). If the real effect of treatment followed by Duncan test at 5% confidence level. The result of this research is on concentration 5 % creatinin levels decreased compared to the control group. In the 2.5 %, 10 % and 20 % have been kenaikan compared to the control group, but about 10 % lower than the 2,5 % and 20 %. While, on levels of urea group rtas serum a dose of 2,5 % and 5 % has experienced a fall in compared with the control group. Group 10 % an 20 % increased compared and control groups a dose of 10 % increasing significant.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the differential granulocytes performed on neutrophils, eosinophils, and basophils in bali cattle which are raised in the highlands and lowlands in Nusa Penida. Blood samples were taken from 60 female bali cattle. Bali cattle blood sample was done randomly using multi-stage sampling. Blood collection was done through a jugular vein using a venoject. Blood smear was done using slide technique immediately, followed by fixation and sample staining using Giemsa. Differential leucocytes were counted using battlement method until 100 cells was found using 1000x magnification. Completely randomized design (CRD) was used for data analysis. The obtained data were analyzed with Independent Samples T-Test. The results showed that a type of maintenance location (highlands and lowlands) had a significant effect on neutrophil, but has not significant effect to eosinophils and basophils. The percentage of bali cattle neutrophils in the highlands is lower than in the lowlands.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang gambaran histologi dan histomorfometri limpa kambing peranakan etawah (PE). Sampel penelitian ini diambil dari limpa 10 ekor kambing PE jantan dan betina yang dipotong di tempat pemotongan hewan Kampung Jawa, Denpasar, Bali, selanjutnya difiksasi dalam larutan Neutral Buffer Formalin 10% kemudian diproses untuk pembuatan preparat histologi berdasarkan metode Kiernan dengan teknik pewarnaan Hematoksilin-Eosin (HE). Limpa kambing PE tersusun atas kapsula, pulpa putih dan pulpa merah. Histomorfometri limpa kambing PE jantan dan betina diperoleh hasil masing-masing memiliki ketebalan kapsula 128,58±0,37 µm dan 163,40±0,35 µm, ketebalan trabekula 125,68±0,13 µm dan 131,45±0,28 µm, dan diameter pulpa putih 466,63±0,15 µm dan 392,40±0,30 µm. Disimpulkan bahwa jenis kelamin mempengaruhi struktur histologi dan histomorfometri limpa kambing peranakan eatawah (PE)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of temperature on the biological activity of various crude and precipitate specific Immunoglobulin (Ig)Y Canine parvovirus (CPV). Hiperimun serum conducted on Isa Brown chickens injected with antigen CPV. Crude yolk Ig preparations derived from chicken serum without purification while the yolk Ig preparations precipitates obtained by the chicken serum was precipitated with ammonium sulfate and dialyzed. Both types of Ig yolk given treatment temperature 50ºC, 60ºC, 70ºC, and 80ºC for 15 minutes. To test Gel Precipitation Test (AGPT) is performed to determine whether there is a specific IgY CPV in the serum of chickens. Biological activity of both types of Ig detected with Barriers Haemagglutination test (HI). The design used in this study is completely randomized design factorial. The results of this study indicate that the temperature was highly significant on the activities of IgY crude and precipitates. Activities IgY crude and precipitate down to the treatment temperature of 50ºC, 60ºC, 70ºC, and 80ºC. Geometric Mean Titer crude IgY respectively - were 26.67, 26, 25.33, and <2º Unit HI while IgY precipitates are respectively 26.33, 25.67, 24, and <2º Unit HI. Based on the results of this study concluded that the biological activity of crude IgY better than IgY precipitates after treatment of a wide range of temperatures.

Abstract

Infeksi virus Dengue (DEN) dapat menyebabkan dengue hemorrhagic fever –dengue shock syndrome (DHF-DSS), yang ditandai dengan kebocoran plasma dan gangguan hemostasis. Meskipun sel endotel dipertimbangkan dapat menjadi target sel pada patogenesis DHF, namun sedikit bukti yang menyatakan infeksi virus dengue menyebabkan perubahan fungsi sel endotel. Dalam studi ini sel endotel diisolasi dari aorta desenden thoraxis-abdominalis kelinci, kemudian dilakukan kultur sel primer. Kultur sel kemudian diinokulasi dengan virus Dengue DEN-1, -2, -3, -4, dan DEN-mix. Replikasi virus dengue pada kultur sel endotel diukur dengan uji enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Titer Ag (DEN-1, -2, -3, -4, dan DEN-mix) yang didapat dari supernatan bervariasi. Dengue tipe 2 mempunyai titer paling tinggi dibandingkan dengan DEN-mix dan tipe virus dengue lainnya. Kerusakan sel endotel menyebabkan kebocoran vaskuleryang berperanan pada patogenesis infeksi virus dengue. Hasil tersebut menyiratkan kemungkinan kerusakan sel endotel disebabkan oleh infeksi virus dengue yang mengakibatkan kebocoran vaskuler.ABSTRACTThe severe outcome of the Dengue (DEN) virus infection known as DEN hemorrhagic fever – DEN shock syndrome (DHF – DSS), is characterized by plasma leakage and hemostasis derangements. Although endothelial cells have been speculated to be a target in the pathogenesis of DHF, there has been little evidence on Dengue virus infection to any alteration in endothelial cell function.In this study, the endothelial cells has been isolatedfrom rabbit thoraxis-abdominalis descendentaortha, then performed primary culture. The culture was then inoculated with virus Dengue DEN-1, -2, -3, -4 and DEN-mix.Replications of dengue virus in endothelial cells culture were demonstrated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ag titers found among the supernatant of DEN-1, -2, -3, -4, and DEN-mix cultures were vary.Dengue type 2 had the highest virus titers in supernatant compared with those of DEN-mixand other types. Endothelial cell damage may couse vascular leakage that contributes to the pathogenesis of Dengue infection. There results imply the possibility that the existence of endothelial cell damage caused by DV infection may cause vascular leakage.

Abstract

The objective of this study to find out the histological of spleen of bali cattle. Thespleenwere collected from 20 bali cattle in Pesanggaran abattoir, Denpasar and thenevaluated microscopically. Histological findings were assessed by H-E stainpreparations.Microscopically, showed that the spleen of bali cattle consists of capsule,white and red pulp. The capsule composed of connective tissue and smooth muscle withthick of these layer is 24,3 ± 3,7 ?m. The white pulp subdivided into the marginal zone andthe follicle. It is composed of reticulocyte (lymphocytes and macrophages) andreticular fibers. The red pulp composed of arterioles, capillary, and vascular sinusoidswhich are large numbers of erythrocytes, macrophages, dendritic cells, plasma cells andsparse lymphocytes.
