Abstract

The major purpose of this research was to applying artificial neural network to predicting rainfall in Semarang climatology station and occurs its accuration. One ofartificial neural network method is back propagation artificial neural network. Withheuristic technique its optimizing to train algorithmic faster and improving net works. Weused rainfall data in 2000-2009 from Semarang climatology station. Artificial neuralnetwork modelling planned in MATLAB R2008b programme. The best model or net viewsfrom correlation level between net?s output, observation data and RMSE point whichproduced by the net. The results shown the best network has 5 neurons in input?s layer, 10in hidden layer and 1 neuron in output layer. Its performance has learning data 66,7%,testing data 33,3%, learning rate 0,7 and momentum 0,4 which has correlated around70,72% to observation data with RMSE point 141,55. The best network will use topredicting rainfalls in 2010, its correlation is 88,43% and its RMSE points is 83,76 tillJuly. Its better than what BMKG has which only reach 84,63% correlation points and87,21 RMSE points.Keywords:  Artificial neural network, optimizing, correlation, RMSE

Abstract

Interpretation of subsurface structure has done in Gedong Songo geothermal manifestation of Ungaran volcano using magnetic method. Interpretation of subsurface structure showed in two dimensions. The quantitative interpretation result show that, Gedong Songo is compose of 4 main layers. The first layer is sedimentary which consists of breccia, sandstone, pyroclastic deposits, alluvium, and top soil, it have a susceptibility value about 7.0x10-5 cgs emu, the second layer is an alteration of andesite lava, it has a susceptibility value about -1.0x10-2 cgs emu. Third layer is composed of hornblende-augite andesite, it has a susceptibility value about 1.34x10?2 cgs emu, and the fourth layer is composed of andesite rock, it has susceptibility value about 1.35x10-2 cgs emu. Abstract

Magnetotelluric research has been done on the geothermal field "X" aims to indentify dimensionality of data, direction of geoelectrical strike and map resistivity distribution of subsurface structure. Before modelling 2 dimensional subsurface structure, MT data must go through stage quality control data, analysis of dimensionalitas data and analysis direction of geoelectrical strike to get 2 dimensional structure model of the subsurface are accurate. The stages of quality control data was done by eliminate the points in the curve of resistivity and phase which out of the trend that is considered as noise. Dimensionality data analysis use curve of three parameters invariant phase tensor i.e phi maximum, phi minimum and beta. Analysis of  the geolectrical strike direction was done by showing a reduction of angle  and  in rose diagram. Overall the analysis phase tensor was performed on 60 tensor magnetotelluric data in the geothermal field "X". Modeling subsurface resistivity structure use the scheme forward modelling and inverse modelling. The results of selection cross power showed that magnetotelluric data are dominated by good quality data. The results of dimensionality data analysis indicates that the dimensionality data of MT data in the geothermal field "X" consists of structure with dimensionality 1D, 2D and 3D structure. Structure with dimensionality 1D is in  frequency range 320 ? 44 Hz, Structure with dimensionality 2D is in frequency range 44 ? 0,3 Hz and structure with dimensionality 3D is in  frequency range 0.3 ? 0.004 Hz in the geothermal field "X". Rose diagram in frequency range 320 ? 0.3 Hz was combined with direction of regional structure in geothermal field "X" indicates that the direction of geoelectrical strike is N330oE. 2 dimensional modeling has been done in the frequency range 320 ? 0,3 Hz. Data is rotated in the direction of geoelectrical strike before the modeling stage. 2 dimensional model consisting of five line perpendicular to the direction of the structure in the field. 2 dimensional model  show caprock layer has s resistivity range 5-20 Ohm-m that thicken to the Northwest while the reservoir layer has a resistivity range 80-120 Ohm-m are thinned to the Northwest. The heat source has a resistivity range 400-500 Ohm-m and located at depth  3.5 km below the surface.Keywords: Dimensionality, geoelectrical strike, distortion, model 2 dimensi

Abstract

Artificial neural networks have been used in an application of geophysical such as seismic, electromagnetic, restivity, and gravity. In this study, artificial neural network system used is the method of propagation of gravity to produce anomalies corresponding to the desired anomalies on the geothermal area of Mount Ungaran, Central Java. In the training process to produce the best weight with 4 hidden layer with a correlation coefficient of 0.99 and the testing process using the results of the best training with a correlation coefficient of 0.97 and a yield value that resembles Bouguer anomaly in the research area., so it can be seen under the surface of the structure with the results of the best network where there is a high density value of 2.70 to 2.80 g/cm3 in lava basalt as geothermal systems Mount Ungaran. Density 2.40 to 2.80 g/cm3 Low contained in the surface area of Mount Ungaran with the majority of sedimentary rocks of andesitic pyroclastic products of Mount Ungaran Young.

Abstract

Anisotropic Pre Stack Depth Migration method has been carried out for 2D seismic reflection data on Line ?IR? The simplest form of anisotropic media (VTI (Vertical Transverse Isotropy) was used. Theoretically, this form requires two parameters to describe the media, those are ? (delta) and ? (epsilon). ? is an anisotropy parameter that describe velocity variation near to vertical while ? is an anisotropy parameter that describe velocity variation near to horizontal. The anisotropic Pre Stack Depth Migration produce a section which has corrected build up image and has change to be the true of reflector in 67 m of depth. Base on well and seismic data calculation process, an anisotropic parameter is in the range of 0.050-0.058. Generally, Anisotropy Pre Stack Depth Migration method gave better result than isotropy Pre Stack Depth Migration. Key Word: Anisotropy, Pre Stack Depth Migration, VTI, delta, epsilon

Abstract

Semarang city has a unique geological rock formations constituent layers in each region. The uniqueness of the identification of the presence of roundwater show that is different. Groundwater reserves in fulfilling the water requipments decreasing due to population growth, industrial growth and infrastructure development. This study aims to identify potential of aquifer to know the type of lithology layers, thickness and depth. The method used in this research is a geoelectric resistivity Schlumberger configurations with measurement points are Cangkiran, Cepoko, Ngadirgo, Gunungpati, Pakintelan, Pesantren, Tandang and Rowosari. The results suggest the potential for aquifer interpretations are based on the value of resistivity 19,6 ?m ? 92,5 ?m with lithology as a sandstone. The aquifer grouped into the deep aquifer and the shallow aquifer. Deep aquifer has range of depth between 50-100 meters on point CA-3, CA-4, CE-1, CE-2, NG-2 and TA-1. Shallow aquifer has range of depth between 10-4 meters on point of GP, NG1, PA, PE and RO.

Abstract

Gravity method processing will obtained gravity anomaly which is combination between regional and local gravity anomalies that need to separate it for interpretation. Upward continuation method commonly used to separates regional and local gravity anomalies. Recently, the separation of these anomalies can be done with Bidimensional Empirical Mode Decomposition (BEMD) method which its calculation based on gravity anomaly profile. BEMD will separates gravity anomali profile based on its frequency that some sub-sinyal will obtained from it. On this research, BEMD method has been used to separate gravity anomaly of Ungaran Mountain dan the result of it compared with the result from Upward Continuation method. 5 Intrinsic Mode Function (IMF) and 1 residual were obtained from BEMD method, wherein IMF3 showed pattern of regional gravity anomali and IMF1 showed pattern of local gravity anomaly. Abstract

Multiple caused by waves that trapped in a layer of sea water or rock layers. The effect information propagation time longer effect as if there is a new layer, thus looping wave reflection. The existence of multiple noise is disruptive and even damaging that complicates intrepetasi in interpreting seismik that have focused so that multiple seismik cross sections obtained free of multiple. Methods in multiple energi weaken, one of them by using the filtering radon method which, in principle, filtering radon, radon transform of the data pre-stack time-offset domain (t-x) in the domain of p-tau (?-p). In ?-p domain and the expected multiple primary signal can be distinguished by the speed difference moveoutnya. This study aims to evaluate the response of radon filtering is applied to the conventional method for multiple mengatenuasi. The results obtained from the radon showed multiple filtering methods reduced from previous conventional methods which showed multiple. It shows good effect radon filtering methods to weaken multiple.Keywords: multiple, Radon filtering, conventional method.

Abstract

Shallow exploration of subsurface commonly use resistivity method which the electricity principles in the earth. The aims of this research are identify slip surface and slope safety factor at Pucung Bambankerep Ngaliyan Semarang using dipole-dipole configuration. The results of measurements are voltage and electric current to calculate the apparent resistivity value then processed by RES2DIV software for determine the lithology and the slip surface area. The value of slope safety factor was 1,332 from modelling by Rockscience software. The results present that lithology in the study area consist of clay, sand, sand gravel, and breccia. There is a slip surface at a depth of between 1,20 to 6,10 m.  Keywords: slip surface, Rockscience, resistivity, dipole-dipolee

Abstract

Fluid flow and temperature researchs has been done in Paguyangan geothermal manifestation based on spontaneous-potential and shallow surface temperature methods. An aims of research is to determine the pattern of fluid flow and shallow surface temperature distribution in the Paguyangan area, Brebes.Data acquisition for spontaneous potential measurement used fixed electrode configuration with 15 meters interval distance divided into 3 lines. Shallow surface temperature measurement which taken in 75 cm depth in around of Paguyangan manifestation area. Spontaneous potential anomaly and shallow surface temperature anomaly analyzed by correlated spontaneous potential, shallow surface temperature and rocks lithology in Paguyangan manifestation.  The Result shows that spontaneous potential values obtained has range between -11 to 11 mV and temperature range between 24° to 70° C. Fluid flow has a depth range between 13,42 to 28,75 meters and range between 8,21 to 30,33 meters with a tilt range between 46,06° to 12,60°.
