Abstract

Penyandang disabilitas kaki akibat proses amputasi atau disabilitas bawaan sejak lahir di Indonesia memiliki pilihan untuk menggunakan kaki tiruan dengan sendi konvensional dan kaki tiruan dengan sendi mekanik. Sayangnya produk kaki tiruan dengan sendi mekanik masih didominasi oleh produk impor. Langkah awal dari upaya menggantikan kaki tiruan atas lutut (above knee prostheses) produk impor dengan produk dalam negeri adalah dengan melakukan penelitian mengenai jangkauan gerak (range of motion) pada sendi lutut. Range of motion (RoM) pada orang Indonesia, yang memiliki ras Mongoloid, dapat memiliki perbedaan dengan rancangan jangkauan gerak pada kaki tiruan produk impor yang telah dijual di Indonesia. Perbedaan dapat dijumpai akibat adanya perbedaan antropometri postur orang Indonesia yang diklasifikasikan sebagai ras Mongoloid dengan penduduk Eropa/Amerika yang tergolong ras Kaukasoid. Begitu juga dengan beberapa aktifitas yang dominan dilakukan oleh orang Indonesia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendapatkan data pengukuran RoM bagi orang Indonesia saat melakukan gerakan sehari-hari untuk diolah menjadi data ilmiah yang penting untuk digunakan dalam proses desain dan perancangan kaki tiruan. Metode penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan mengambil data jangkauan gerak (RoM) orang Indonesia dengan variasi: jenis kelamin, berat badan dan dua jenis gerakan. Gerakan utama yang akan diambil adalah gerakan sujud dan gerakan duduk pertama pada shalat. Hasil pengukuran jangkauan gerak lutut saat responden melakukan gerakan duduk pertama dalam salat berkisar antara 145°-160°. Rata-rata jangkauan gerak lutut saat responden adalah 152°. Hasil ini menunjukkan kebutuhan jangkauan gerak yang sangat besar pada aktifitas duduk tersebut. Data gerakan sendi lutut yang telah didapatkan akan digunakan untuk mendesain karakteristik lutut pada kaki tiruan buatan produk domestik dengan karakter gerakan orang Indonesia. Abstract

The equilibrium phase diagram and thermodynamic properties of a mixture of drugs and additives are information related to various possible interaction processes between components. Therefore, we conducted a study of the phase diagrams and thermodynamic properties of binary mixtures of ketoprofen-succinic acid to estimate the types of interactions that may occur between these materials. The solid-liquid phase diagram of ketoprofen-succinic acid binary mixtures was determined by differential scanning calorimetry and composition of eutectic system was determined accurately using a Tamman diagram. The measurement of binary mixtures of ketoprofen-succinic acid with differential scanning calorimeter obtained the value of melting temperature and heat of fusion of ketoprofen- succinic acid system. The solid-liquid phase diagram of ketoprofen- succinic acid showed the formation of eutectic type phase diagram. The Tamman diagram showed accurately composition of the eutectic system of the Kp-SA binary mixtures at the mole fraction of Kp 0.87 and temperature 96.9oC.Keywords: ketoprofen, phase diagram, eutectic system, Tamman diagram

Abstract

Characterization of mefenamic acid- ,8-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes by freeze dryin method had been studied. Solid state mefenamic acid - B-cyclodextrin inclusion complex prepared by freeze drying method in 1:1 molar ratio. Mefenamlc acid, B-cyclodextrin, mefenamic acid - B-cyclodextrin physical mixture and inclusion complexes were characterized by Powder X-ray Diffraction (PXRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscop (FTIR) , Dijferential Thermal Analyzer (DT/1) and dissolution studies. The results showed the formation of inclusion complex between mefenamic acid and B-lcyclodextrin. In vitro dissolution rate studies of mefenamic acid, mefenamic acid - B-lcyclodextrin physical mixture and inclusion complex were conducted using basket method and water as dissolution medium. Mefenamic acid - B-lcyclodextrin inclusion complex showed increasing dissolution rate compared to me?znamic acid - B-cyclodextrin physical mixture and mefenamic acid.

Abstract

Water quality and quantity is always an important issue in lowland ecosystem of Banyuasin. Low domestic water supply sanitation is considered as having an important contribution on the high frequency of waterborne diseases in the area. The study aims at recording water borne diseases and the water quality in the lowland area of Banyuasin District. This field research was conducted using a cross-sectional method. Total samples were 210 households in Telang which were observed during July through August 2011. Six water samples were measured for their physical and chemical properties, in addition to 1 water sample for bacteriological test. All respondents used river water for sanitary purposes and 41.4% of them also have dug wells. Those who used river water for sanitation, 68.5 % also consumed purified water for drinking purpose. All water samples are acidic (pH 5,68-6,19) and contain high Iron  (1-26,269 Mg/L). Water has yellowish color.  The major disease are diarrhea and skin diseases. In the lowland area with the estuarine ecosystem water quality and scarcity are serious problems. This in turn causes the high prevalent of waterborne diseases such as diarea. Low level of education and socio-economic status make it difficult for the local people to overcome these problems. Outside intervention especially government so as to improve the condition is needed

Abstract

Some natural zeolite types have been exploited for long time to improve the quality of mine waste water. This research was to study the effect of natural zeolite from Lampung (Indonesia) to improve the quality of acid mine drainage from gold-mine in South Sumatra. The size of zeolite is 0,045-0,090 mm and it consist of the clinoptilolite, type. The zeolite column was made from PVC pipe with the length of 20 cm and the diameter of 10,2 cm. The zeolite column was leached in saturated condition during 12 weeks and was divided into four times intake of leached samples. Waste mine water taken from the location of Barisan Tropical Mining (Rawas gold project, Indonesia) on 21 and 23 July 1998. The water samples from pit Berenai contain relatively high iron ( 28 mg/l) and mangan of 9 mg/l, while zinc is less than 2 mg/l. The water generally very acid (pH 2,9) and contained the sulphate until 250 mg/l and the value of salinity of 28 mS/cm. The water sample from sediment pond and mining river generally contained iron, mangan and zinc lower compared to Berenai pit. Leached through zeolite column in the end of experiment contained of iron less than 1 mg/l, while manganese only a little changing. For water sample from Berenai pit, the column of zeolite reduced the sulphate content become 66 mg/l, decreased the salinity to less than 18 mS/cm, and increased the pH to 6,5 or more. The results indicated that natural zeolite from Lampung can be used to improve the quality of acid mine drainage. However, the application of the zeolite for larger scale still need detailed study.

Abstract

Soil respiration has been widely studied in relation to soil health and carbon sequestration. Respiration measurements are better performed in the field, either with in-situ static or dynamic systems. This study evaluated the recovery of coal post-mining land in Tanjung Enim, South Sumatra, which is reflected from the ground surface indicators and soil respiration. Observations were carried out at PT Bukit Asam location represented by Muara Tiga Besar (MTB). Secondary forest was also used as a reference. The area had been revegetated generally with sengon, bamboo and acacia in 2000 (North MTB), while planting in 2005, 2006 and 2007 only with acacia interspersed with eucalyptus (South MTB). Soil samples were taken with a number of brass rings and then divided into 0-2, 2-5 and 5-10 cm depth. Respiration with inverted box technique used a solution of 0.5 M KOH. Revegetation increased significantly the organic carbon content from 0.96% to 1.96%, although still lower than organic carbon of the forest soil with the average of 2.81%. There was also a similar pattern found for total N and available P. It is evident that soil enrichment occurs in the 0-2 cm layer. In situ soil respiration showed no consistent increase with age of revegetation with values ranging from 670 to 767 mg CO2/m2 per hour, while the forest soil reaches 789 mg CO2/m2 per hour. Based on these facts we conclude that soil respiration can not be used as the sole indicator of recovery in coal post-mining land, thus needs to be combined with other variables.

Abstract

Abstrak Kaki tiruan atas lutut atau above knee prosthesis merupakan teknologi di bidang kesehatan sebagai alat pengganti kaki untuk pasien dengan amputasi kaki atas lutut yang penyebab utamanya adalah karenadiabetes dan trauma atau luka berat akibat kecelakaan. Produk kaki tiruan yang ada masih didominasi oleh produk impor, sehingga memiliki harga yang mahal dan sulit terjangkau bagi pasien amputasi kalangan menengah ke bawah. Industri pembuatan kaki tiruan di Indonesia masih belum mampu memproduksi kaki tiruan bersendi atas lutut yang baik. Produk kaki tiruan buatan Indonesia yang sering kita lihat kebanyakan berbahan plat logam berbalut resin, produk konvensional inimemiliki kekurangan dalam fleksibilitas, lifetime, dan ergonomis. Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dilakukan perancangan tiga model prosthesis untuk amputasi atas lutut. Tujuandari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa  pembebanan statis salah satu prostesahasil rancangan dengan FEM. Prostesakemudian diujikan pada pasien amputasi atas lutut sebagai analisa pola pergerakan sendi siklus berjalan (gait cycle). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan prostesa dapat dipakai untuk berjalan dengan baik. Kata kunci: above knee prosthesis, siklus berjalan, sudut tekuk lutut, FEM.

Abstract

Characterizations  of  the  physical  properties  of  binary  system  of erythromycin stearate (ERS)-sodium starch glycolate(SSG) due to compression force, had been carried out. The solid state properties were evaluated by powder X-ray  diffraction  (PXRD),  scanning  electron  microscope  (SEM)  and  differential thermal  analysis  (DTA)  methods.  The  weight  fraction of  mixtures  ERS:  SSG (90:10),  (80:20)  and  (70:30)  were  compressed  using  hydraulic  press  and  flat plain  punches  with  a  diameter  of  13  mm.  The  compression  force  was  29.5  kN. Diffraction  peaks  at  2θ =  5.6;  10,6  and  25.6°  were  used  to  determine  the  full width at  half  maximum  (FWHM),  crystallite  size  and preferred orientation. Peak broadening  was  calculated  by  measuring  the  FWHM.  FWHM  values,  crystallite size  and  preferred  orientation  of  the  crystallites  were  calculated  by  WinPlotr program. The results of the  study showed that the FWHM value increased at all the crystal lattice as the fraction of SSG increased. The crystallite size and peak intensity  decreased  gradually  as  fraction  of  SSG  increased.  Scanning  Electron Microscope  (SEM)  analysis  indicated  that  SSG  was  dispersed  on  surface  and inside  of  the  tablet  of  ERS  at  all  combination.  The phase  diagram  of  binary system ERS and SSG showed a no interaction of ERS and SSG.Key words : characterization, physical properties, ERS, SSG, compression force

Abstract

The net of canal and control water building are needed in achieving and improving the result production of woods industrial forest furthermore for economic national development and social property. The canal constructing is important for debit fluctuation in canal drainage in order for continuities of water resources in wetland area. The purpose of this research 1) determined debit of drainage and presentation cross section as picture and formula rating curve, 2) analyzed fluctuation drainage of debit as the result of water level HOBO measurement, this research was done in tidal wetland at industrial wood forest OKI, South Sumatera. The way in getting the fluctuation modelling for debit of drainage was using a computer program which is known as Cubic Spline Interpolation (CSI). This program was used for picturing the profil cross section which is presented in rating curve as the result of measurement distance, deep canal and flow velocity as the input. As the result of this research, the width of canal drainage is about 8-10 m with deep 3- 4 m. Debit downstream is about 6,044 m3/second. and upstream 7,866 m3/second Rating curve is Qw=a. Hw^b, where Qw is debit (m³/ second) and Hw is high of water from datum canal (m). The measurement of water level in canal drainage use Hobo data logger, the we used formula rating curve. Debit downstream max 9,311 m3/second and water level 3,110 m, min 0,129 m3/s and water level 0,270 m, at upstream of debit max 7,017 m3/s and water level 2,823 m. min 0,099 m3/s and water level 0,227 m.Key word: tidal lowland, cubic spline interpolation, rating curve. industrial woods forest.

Abstract

Tingkat pelanggaran siswa pada SMA Negeri 1 Purwosari dari tahun ke tahun terus bertambah dengan berbagai  macam  pelanggaran  yang  dilakukan.  Selama  ini  pencatatan  poin  pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh guru BK (Bimbingan Konseling) menggunakan buku tatib yang dimiliki oleh sekolah. Pengendalian pada pelanggaran yang dilakukan masih belum dapat dilakukan secara optimal karena guru  BK  (Bimbingan  Konseling)  tidak  dapat  dengan  mudah  menentukan  tingkat  tertinggi  pelanggaran yang dilakukan  oleh  siswa.  Karena  itulah sebuah  sistem  pencatatan  poin  pelanggaran siswa pada sekolah sangat diperlukan untuk mengetahui tingkat ketidak disiplinan para siswa dalam lingkungan sekolah. Sistem informasi tersebut juga dapat menghasilkan informasi tersebut secara efektif dan efisien. Sistem pencatatan pelangaran ini menggunakan metode penjumlahan dari tiap komponen pelanggaran yaitu  komponen  sikap  dan  perilaku,  komponen  kerajinan  dan  komponen  kerapian, sehingga nanti didapatkan jumlah point dari tiap siswa beserta sanksi yang didapat dan jumlah statistik pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh siswa. Dengan demikian sistem pencatatan poin pelanggaran ini dapat menjadi pendukung keputusan bagi guru BK yang memberi penilaian terhadap pelanggaran siswa di lingkungan sekolah.
