Abstract

AbtractMany activities in the inundation of PLTA Koto Panjang Recervoir Batu Bersurat Village contributed organic matter that affect nitrate and phosphate concentration in water and increasing the abudance of phytoplankton. Aresearch  aim  to know the relationship between nitrate and phosphate with phytoplankton abudance in the inundation of PLTA Koto Panjang and it was conducted in June-July 2019. There were three sampling stations, namely Station I (tourisms and palm’s plantation), Station II (there were restaurant and trees around of station) and Station III (floating cage). In each station, there were three sampling points, in the surface (15 cm), in 2 Secchi depth (330 cm), and in 4 Secchi depth (660 cm). Sampling were conducted 4 times, once/week. Water quality parameter measured were nitrate, phosphate, phytoplankton abudance, transparency, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, free carbondioxide and BOD5 (Biochemical Oxygen Demand). The result shown: nitrate 0.06-0.08 mg/L, phosphate 0.05-0.09 mg/L, phytoplankton abundance 123,877-169,428 Cells/L, dissolved oxygen 6.35-6.88 mg/L, free carbondioxide 5-12.99 mg/L, temperature 29-31 oC, transparency 145.1-187.5 cm, pH 5-5.3 and biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5)4.03-8.90 mg/L. Abstract

AbstractCarrying capacity is defined as the ability of aquatic environment to support the life of organism in that area. A study aimed to assess the aquatic carrying capacity for extensive fishing in the Betung lake, Betung Village, Pangkalan Kuras Sub-district Pelalawan District, Riau Province. The carrying capacity was determined based on primary productivity using chlorophyll-aconcentration.This research was conducted July-August 2019. There were 3 stations, namely Station 1 (inlet area), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake) and Station 3 (in the end of the lake). In each stations, there were 2 sampling point, in the surface (15 cm) and 2 Secchi (160 cm) depth. Sampling was done three times, once a week. Water quality parameters measured werechlorophyll-a, transparency, temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, CO2, nitrate and phosphate concentration. Results shown that chlorophyll-a:17.81-26.73 µg/L, transparency : 81.3-84 cm, temperature : 28.3-29.7ºC, pH: 5, dissolved oxygen : 3.87-6.12 mg/L, CO2 : 6.27-15.42 mg/L,nitrate : 0.02-0.05 mg/L, and phosphate : 0.02-0.04 mg/L. Based on chlorophyll-a concentration, the carrying capacity in Betung Lake was 1.61 tons/fish/year.Keyword: Oxbow lake, Primary Productivity, and Water quality

This research was conducted in June-July 2019. There were 3 stations, namely Station 1 (inlet area), Station 2 (in the middle of the lake) and Station 3 (in the end of the lake). In each stations, there were two sampling point, in the surface and in 2 Secchi depth. Sampling was done three times once/week. Water quality parameters measured were chlorophyll-a, temperature, transparency, depth, pH, dissolve oxygen, CO2, nitrate and phosphate. Results shown that chlorophyll-a: 14.03-17.07 μg/L, transparency: 61.7-62.3 cm, temperature: 29.3-31oC, depth: 125-284 cm, pH: 5, dissolved oxygen:  3.37-4.94mg/L, CO2:5.32-11.98mg/L, nitrate: 0.02-0.08 mg/L and phosphate: 0.04-0.1mg/L. Based on concentration of chlorophyll-a indicates that the carrying capacity of the Tuok Tonga Lake for extensive fishing was 0.85 tons/year.Keywords: Oxbow lake, Primary productivity, Water quality

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui struktur komunitas perifiton pada substrat yang berbeda dan mengetahui tingkat pencemaran waduk PLTA Koto Panjang sekitar dam site dengan perifiton sebagai indikator biologis.  Metode yang digunakan dengan pengukuran langsung di lapangan pada bulan November 2015 dengan pengamatan suhu, kecerahan, CO2, nitrat, fosfat, oksigen and perifiton. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa parameter kualitas yang diamati memenuhi syarat dalam mendukung hidup perifiton. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman pada substrat yang berbeda berkisar 1,117-2,24975 dimana indeks dominansi berkisar 0,24378-0,47126 dan indeks keseragaman berkisar 1-1,8. Dari nilai indeks-indeks tersebut, perairan di sekitar dam site zona lakustrin Waduk PLTA Koto Panjang telah mengalami tekanan (gangguan) dengan status tercemar ringan, tidak ada spesies yang mendominasi dan keseragaman organisme berada dalam keadaan seimbang, tidak terjadi persaingan terhadap makanan  dan ruang. Dalam penelitian ini terlihat bahwa pada substrat keramba (pelampung) jenis dan jumlah individu/jenis lebih rendah dibandingkan pada substrat daun, untuk itu disarankan melihat struktur komunitas perifiton pada jaring kerambanya  dikaitkan dengan keberlanjutan aktivitas budidaya ikan dalam KJA di sekitar dam site Waduk PLTA Koto Panjang. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan aktivitas budidaya ikan dalam  KJA di waduk PLTA Koto Panjang  di sekitar dam site mempengaruhi  struktur komunitas perifiton pada masing-masing stasiun dan substrat yang berbeda.

Abstract

This research has been done in the Pinang Dalam Lake Buluh Cina Village SiakHulu Subdistrict Kampar District Riau Province. This research aims to understand thevertical profile of chlorophyll-a in this lake. The research used survey method. Thechlorophyll-a samples were collected from three station namely station I at inlet of lake ,station II in the midle of lake and station III the end of lake. There were three samplingsites in each station were in the surface, 1.5 Secchi depth and 2.5 Secchi depth. Samplingwas done three times, once a week. The result shown chlorophyll-a concentration insurface :17.26 μg/L -21.44 μg/L, 1.5 secchi depth 11.60 μg/L-14.43 μg/L and in 2.5 secchidepth 9.98 μg/L - 12.41 μg/L. A chlorophyll-a concentration in surface higher than in the1.5 secchi depth and 2.5 secchi depth. The chlorophyll-a concentration decrease with thedepth. Water quality result shown pH:5; DO: 2.60-5.88 mg/L; CO2: 6.79-13.31 mg/L;nitrate: 0.0134-0,093 mg/L; phosphate: 0.03-0.15 mg/L; phytoplankton abundance:3,420,423-4,293,075 cell/L; depth: 180.67-429 cm; transparency: 52.5-54.5 cm;temperature: 28oC-28.34oC. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded the consentrationof chlorophyll-a in Pinang Dalam Lake showed the trophic status was mesotrophic and allwater quality still support the life of aquatic organisms.Keywords : Chlorophyll-a, the vertical profile, Pinang Dalam Lake

Abstract

This study has been done in Pinang Dalam Oxbow Lake from January-February 2014. This research aims to understand the vertical profile of phosphatein Pinang Dalam oxbow lake. The research used survey method. The sample’swere taken from three station, the first station were at inlet, the second stationwere at middle of lake and the third station were at the end of lake. The measuringquality water parameters were depth, transparency, temperature, pH, dissolvedoxygen (DO), carbon dioxide and nitrate. Sampling vertical based ontransparency, namely at surface, 11/2Secchi depth, 21/2Secchi depth, and in thebottom of lake. The result shown the concentration of phosphate at the surface:0.03-0.04 Mg/L; in the 11/2Secchi depth: 0.07-0.09 Mg/L; in the 21/2Secchi depth:0.12-0.15 Mg/L and the bottom of lake: 0.15-0.19 Mg/L. The vertical profile ofphosphate showed the concentration increased with the increment of depth. Thewater quality parameter analyzed were temperature: 28oC–28.34oC; transparancy52.5-54.34 cm; depth: 180.67–429 cm; pH: 5; dissolved oxygen (DO): 1.64-5.88Mg/L; carbon dioxide: 6.79–14.65 Mg/L; nitrate: 0.01-0.13 Mg/L, andphytoplankton abudance: 3523363.7-4293075.48 cel/l. The concentration ofphosphate in Pinang Dalam Lake showed the tropic status was mesotropic and allthe water quality still support the aquatic organisms life.Keywords : Phosphate, the vertical profile, Pinang Dalam Lake

Abstract

This research has been done from March to April 2014 in the Bakuok Lake,Aursati Village, Tambang Subdistrict, Kampar District, Riau Province. This research aimsto understand the vertical profil of nitrate in this lake. The research used survey method.The nitrate samples were collected from three station namely station I at inlet of lake,station II in the middle of lake and station III in the end of lake. There were three samplingsites in each station were in the surface, 1,5 Secchi depth and bottom. Sampling was donethree times, once a week. The result shown nitrate concentration in surface : 0,01-0,03mg/L, in 1,5 Secchi depth 0,03-0,06 mg/L and in the bottom 0,05-0,12 mg/L. The nitrateconcentration in surface lower than in the 1,5 Secchi depth and in the bottom and nitrateconcentration increase with the depth. Water quality result shown pH:6, DO: 1,78-5,33mg/L, CO2: 4,66-15,31 mg/L, depth: 208-332 cm, transparency: 74,3-93,7 cm andtemperature: 29,6-30oC. Based on data obtained, it can be concluded the consentration ofnitrate in Bakuok Lake showed the trophic status was Oligotrophic and water quality stillsupport the life of aquatic organisms.Keywords: nitrate, the vertical profile, Bakuok Lake

Abstract

The research was conducted in February-March 2014 in Lake Danau Pinang Dalam. Theresearch aims to understand the vertical profile of Dissolved Oxygen in Pinang Dalam Oxbowlake. The research used survey method. Sample were taken in three stations, namely station 1,station 2 and station 3. Sampling vertical based on depth, at surface, 2,5 secchi disk and in thebottom. The parameter of water quality measured pH, temperature, nitrate, phosphate, depth,transparancy, and dissolved oxygen (DO). The result shown concentration of dissolved oxygenrange 2,04-5,29 mg/L, concentration of nitrate range 0,02-0,34 mg/L and the concentration ofphosphate range 0,01-0,71 mg/L. The value of temperature was 28,50C, depth range of 145-302cm. Abstract

This research has been done in Pinang Dalam Oxbow Lake from Maret 2014. Thisresearch aims to understand the vertical profile of nitrate in Pinang Dalam oxbow lake. Theresearch used survey method. Sample were taken in three stations, namely station 1, station 2 andstation 3. Sampling vertical based transparency, at surface, 2,5 secchi disk, and in the bottom.The parameters of water quality measured nitrate, phosphate, temperature, transparancy, depth,pH, free carbon dioxide (CO) and dissolved oxygen (DO). The result shown nitrate range 0,020- 0,337 mg/L, phosphate 0,037 – 0,710 mg/L, temperature 28,3-28,7 oC, transparancy 27,3-28,5cm, depth 145-302 cm, pH 5, free carbon dioxide 5,33 - 9,32 mg/L, and dissolved oxygen 2,40- 6,83 mg/L. The vertical profile of nitrate showed increased with the increment of depth. Abstract

This research has been done on the Baru Lake Buluh Cina Village Siak Hulu SubdistrictDistrict Kampar from March - April 2013. This research aims to understand the vertical profile ofphosphate in this lake. The researh used survey method. Sample were taken horizontally in threestation and vertically in three sampling point. The water quality parameters measured were pH,dissolved oxygen (DO), based on transparancy, temperature and depth.The concentration of phosphate was 0,016 - 0,113 mg/l. The value of pH was 6. Theconcentration of dissolved oxygen (DO) was 2,6 – 5,47 mg/l. Based on transparancy was 47,0 -55,8 cm. Temperature was 29 – 30,3ºC. Depth was 346 – 409 cm. Phosphate consentration insurface was 0,016 – 0,037 mg/l, while in bottom was 0,063 – 0,113 mg/l. The vertical profile ofphosphate in bottom was higher than in the surface. The parameters of water quality were observedstill sustain the aquatic organism life.Keywords: phosphate, vertical profile, Baru Lake
