Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri (SMKN) 2 Ciamis, dan (2) hubungan dan pengaruh pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar mata diklat produktif dan dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 2 Ciamis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex-post facto, dengan desain penelitian korelasional. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukan bahwa tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 2 Ciamis adalah sebesar 36,65% siswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan kerja pada kategori sangat tinggi, dan 63,35% siswa memiliki tingkat kesiapan kerja yang tinggi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar mata diklat produktif dan dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa, dengan kontribusi yang diberikan adalah 32,7% (R2 = 0,327). Hal ini menjelaskan bahwa pengalaman prakerin, hasil belajar mata diklat produktif dan dukungan sosial keluarga secara bersama-sama mampu menjelaskan varian kesiapan kerja siswa SMKN 2 Ciamis sebesar 32,7%.  THE EFFECT OF SCHOOL ON-THE JOB EXPERIENCES, STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT IN PRODUCTIVE AND SOCIAL SUPPORT ON STUDENT WORK READINESS OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOLLAbstractThis research was aims to reveal: (1) the level of work readiness of the students of vocational high schools (VHS) 2 of Ciamis and (2) the relationship and effect of school on-the job training experiences, achievement in productive subjects and family social support simultaneously on the students? work readiness. This research was a ex-post facto research with corelational design. The result of the descriptive analysis shows the level of students? work readiness in VHS 2 of Ciamis as follows: 36.65% of the students have the excellent work readiness, and 63.35% of the students have good work readiness. The hypothesis testing shows a positive and significant effect of the school onthe- job training experiences, students? achievement in productive subjects and family social support simultaneously on the students? work readiness, with the contribution are 32.7% (R2 = 0.327). This shows that the school on-the- job training experience, , student achievement in productive subject and family social support simultaneously are able to explain the variant of the students? work readiness as much as 32,7%.

Abstract

Pendidikan vokasi adalah pendidikan yang mempersiapkan lulusannya untuk bekerja. Kemitraanantara institusi pendidikan dengan dunia usaha/industri dalam pengelolaan pendidikan vokasimerupakan keniscayaan. Konsep-konsep pembelajaran pendidikan vokasi dengan pendekatanExperiential Learning (EL) dan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) merupakan wacana danpraksis yang harus terus dikembangkan. Dengan demikian penerapan pendekatan pembelajarandengan problem-based learning, cooperative learning, project-based learning, service learning,dan work-based learning terus senantiasa harus dikembangkan.Pengembangan pembelajaran dengan berbagai pendekatan diatas harus dilakukan oleh parapengelola pendidikan vokasi dan industri agar kualitas lulusannya sesuai tuntutan pasar kerja.Tantangan dunia kerja dengan kompetensi kerja yang makin tinggi seiring kemajuan teknologi dandinamika tempat kerja menuntut institusi pendidikan vokasi mampu mengantisipasi dan menghadapiperubahan yang terjadi dengan memanfaatkan berbagai kapabilitas yang ada. Institusi pendidikanvokasi sebagai penyiap dan penyedia calon tenaga kerja, harus dapat memanfaatkan sumberdayayang dimiliki dan jaringan sumber-sumber kemitraan dengan pihak luar secara efektif, untukakumulasi sumber daya penyelenggaraan.Kemitraan dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan vokasi antara institusi pendidikan danindustri/dunia kerja merupakan karakter utama pendidikan vokasi. Sinergi kerjasama antar fungsi danantar organisasi dapat melahirkan ide-ide baru dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan vokasi. Institusidengan budaya yang inovatif menjadi dukungan bagi tim manajemen pengelola dalam memanfaatkankapabilitas sumber daya internal dan eksternal untuk meningkatkan kualitas lulusan. Pengembanganprogram work-based learning pada pendidikan diploma III Otomotif dengan berbagai penyediapelatihan di berbagai Agen Tunggal Pemegang Merek (ATPM) dapat dijadikan sebagai terobosandalam pendidikan vokasi.Kata kunci: pengembangan program, work-based learning, pendidikan vokasi, praktik industri, WBLBerasrama-Terpadu

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui: (1) bagaimanakah tingkat motivasi belajar, kinerja Prakerin, intensitas pembimbingan guru Prakerin dan kesiapan kerja; (2) pengaruh masing-masing variabel motivasi belajar, kinerja Prakerin, intensitas pembimbingan guru Prakerin terhadap kesiapan kerja; dan (3) pengaruh secara bersama-sama variabel motivasi belajar, kinerja Prakerin, intensitas pembimbingan guru Prakerin terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK Pariwisata Kompetensi Keahlian Jasa Boga di DIY. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan pendekatan ex post facto. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi linier sederhana dan analisis regresi ganda dengan bantuan software SPSS 16. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Variabel motivasi belajar, intensitas pembimbingan guru Prakerin dan kesiapan kerja diperoleh kategori sedang serta kinerja Prakerin dalam kategori rendah; (2) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel motivasi belajar terhadap kesiapan kerja; (3) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan Variabel kinerja Prakerin terhadap kesiapan kerja; (4) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan variabel intensitas pembimbingan guru Prakerin terhadap kesiapan kerja; dan (5) terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan secara bersama-sama ketiga variabel independen terhadap variabel dependen. THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING MOTIVATION, PERFORMANCE, INTENSITY OF PRAKERIN MENTORING ON WORK READINESS OF STUDENTS IN TOURISM VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL YOGYAKARTA SPECIAL REGIONAbstractThis study aimed to find out: (1) how is the learning motivation, Prakerin performance, intensity of Prakerin teacher mentoring and job readiness; (2) the effect of each variable motivation, Prakerin performance, intensity of Prakerin teacher mentoring on work readiness; and (3) the influence of variables motivation, Prakerin performance, intensity of Prakerin teacher mentoring in aggregate on work readiness of students in Vocational High School Majoring in Catering Services in Yogyakarta Special Region.This was a survey research with ex post facto approach study. The data were analyzed using the descriptive analysis technique, simple liner regression analysis and multiple regression analysis with the help of software SPSS 16.Research conclusion shows: (1) variable learning motivation, intensity of Prakerin teacher mentoring and job readiness are in the fair category obtained and Prakerin the performance in the low category; (2) there is a positive and significant influence of learning motivation on work readiness; (3) there is a positive and significant influence of Prakerin performance on job readiness; (4) there is a positive and significant influence of intensity Prakerin teacher mentoring on job readiness; and (5) there is a positive and significant influence of the three independent variables in aggregate on the dependent variable.

Abstract

This study aims to know the characteristics of: (1) fuel consumption on four stroke diesel engine in terms of the fuel injection timing variation in application of biosolar and Pertamina Dex, (2) emission opacity on four stroke diesel engine in terms of the fuel injection timing variation in application of biosolar and Pertamina Dex. This study used experimental approaches on four strokes single cylinder direct injection diesel engine with 4200 watts on maximum power. The engine speed and load were controlled by electricity load of electric AC generator. Observation was used to collect the data. The data was analyzed with mean calculation and showed with tables and graphics.The result of this study showed that: (1) the most ef? cient of fuel consumption is reached when injection timing in 30 before TDC (advanced) with biosolar, while in retreated condition is more uneconomical, (2) the least emission opacity is reached when injection timing in 30 O before TDC (advanced) with Pertamina Dex and worse in retreated condition.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis reseach aims at (1) revealing the influence of integrated and Rolling Work Based Learning (WBL)implementation towards the quality of WBL learning result (2) obtaining the data of the output aspects for thequality of WBL learning results in the vocational education program of Automotive DIII.This research belongs to experimental research in the study program of Automotive DIII. This research wasconducted in trainning centre on several brand owner agent of Automotive area in Jakarta, Karawang, Tangerang,Bekasi. The population of the research was the students of Diploma III of Automotive Engineering Study Programwho were conducted field or industrial practicum. The research sample was two groups of students consisted of 50students for each group who come from 3 state universities and 3 private universities in Yogyakarta and CentralJava. This experimental study was conducted from July till October 2012 with factorial design of 2 x 1. The datacollection techniques were using inventory, observation sheets, and documentation. The analysis of content validitywas conducted by expert judgement. The construct validity was using factor analysis and item realibility with AlphaCronbach and KR-20. Meanwhile, the hypothesis testing was conducted by ANAVA technique and T-Test with theassistance of SPSS 17 program.The results of the research showed that (1) the implementation of Integreted and Rolling WBL (industrial/field practicum) influenced the result of WBL learning result, (2) the output aspects of WBL learning result were theimprovement of automotive mechanical knowladge, professionalism, readiness, and students? autonomy.Keywords: integrated and Rolling Work Based Learning (WBL), quality of WBL learning result

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan: (1) menemukan model penyelenggaraan work-based learning pada pendidikan vokasi program Diploma III Otomotif yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar; (2) mengetahui luaran penyelenggaraan work-based learning dengan model yang dikembangkan. Penelitian R&D dan eksperimen ini dilaksanakan di beberapa pusdiklat/training center berbagai APM (Agen Pemegang Merek) Otomotif di Jakarta, Karawang, Tangerang, dan Bekasi. Populasi penelitian: seluruh mahasiswa Diploma III program studi Teknik Otomotif yang melaksanakan program pengalaman lapangan/praktik industri di provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta dan Jawa Tengah. Dua kelompok mahasiswa sebagai sampel penelitian berjumlah 100 mahasiswa ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yang meliputi 3 PTN dan 3 PTS di DIY dan Jawa Tengah. Eksperimen dilaksanakan dengan rancangan faktorial 2 x 1. Validasi isi dilakukan dengan expert judgement dan analisis faktor dan reliabilitas butir dengan formula Alpha Cronbach dan KR-20. Data dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif, korelasi, regresi, jalur, uji-t dengan bantuan program SPSS.17 dan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan program LISREL 8.80, taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) model WBL Rolling Terpadu cocok digunakan dalam penyelenggaraan program work-based learning Diploma III Otomotif untuk meningkatkan kualitas hasil belajar; (2) luaran (output) dari model WBL Rolling Terpadu yaitu: pengetahuan mekanik otomotif, sikap profesional, kesiapan mental kerja, dan kemandirian mahasiswa pada kelas model lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibanding kelas konvensional.  WORK-BASED LEARNING IMPLEMENTATION MODEL IN AUTOMOTIVE DIPLOMA III VOCATIONAL EDUCATIONAbstractThis research was aimed at: (1) finding the work-based learning implementation model in Automotive Diploma III program, (2) revealing the WBL performance outputs. R&D and experimental research was conducted at several training centers of automotive authorized dealer agencies or (APM) in Jakarta, Karawang, Tangerang, Bekasi. The population were students of Automotive Diploma III study program who were trained in industrial attachment program in Central Java and Yogyakarta Special State provinces. Two groups of 100 students as subject with purposive sampling techniques. Experiment was conducted with 2x1 factorial design. Validity was examinded by expert judgment and by factors analysis. Cronbach?s Alpha formula and KR-20 were used to examine the reliability. Data were analyzed by correlation, multiple regression, path, and t-test with SPSS ver.17. Goodness of Fit model were tested by Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with LISREL 8.80. The results show that (1) WBL Rolling Terpadu model is fit to improve performance outputs in the implementation Automotive Diploma III work-based learning program, (2) outputs of WBL Rolling Terpadu model are initial automotivemechanic knowledge, professional attitude, work mentally readiness, and personality attitude. These outputs of the experimental group in student work-based learning performance are higher than that of control group.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari persepsi penguasaan metode mengajar praktik guru, media pembelajaran yang digunakan guru, dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif SMK keahlian TKR di Kota Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XII pada kompetensi TKR di SMK Kota Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 565 siswa. Sampel sejumlah 185 siswa ditentukan dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Pengambilan data variabel bebas menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert dan Rating Scale. Data variabel terikat dikumpulkan menggunakan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan empat temuan ytiu: (1) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan persepsi penguasaan metode mengajar praktik guru terhadap hasil belajar praktik kelistrikan otomotif; (2) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari persepsi media pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif; (3)terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari motivasi belajar siswa terhadap hasil belajar pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif; (4) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari persepsi penguasaan metode mengajar praktik guru, persepsi media pembelajaran, dan motivasi belajar siswa secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan otomotif. FACTORS AFFECTING THE LEARNING OUTCOMES IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING OF AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICAL PRACTICE OF SMK IN YOGYAKARTA CITYAbstractThe research aimed to reveal the effect of perceptions of teachers? mastery of practice teaching methods, instructional media used by teachers, and students? motivation on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice of SMK of TKR expertise in Yogyakarta City. The research was ex-post facto research. The population was all grade XII students of SMK light vehicle enginering expertise in Yogyakarta City totalling 565 students. A sample of 185 students was established using the proportional random sampling technique. The data of the independent variable were collected using a questionnaire with Likert scale and Rating scale. The data of the dependent variable were collected using documentation. The data were analyzed using the multiple regression analysis. The research revealed four findings. (1) There was a significant effect of perceptions of teachers? mastery of practice teaching methods on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice; (2) There was a significant effect of instructional media on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice; (3) There was a significant effect of the students? motivation on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice; (4) There was a significant effect of perceptions on teachers? mastery of practical teaching methods, perceptions on instructional media, and students? motivation collectively on the learning outcomes in the teaching of automotive electrical practice.
