Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to know the author's productivity pattern of article in the field of agriculture in Indonesia 2006-2015 using Lotka?s Law. The data of this research were taken from national journal accredited by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education which can be accessed from http://www.kopertis12.or.id. From 2006-2015, it is found that there are 2650 authors and 4141 articles on Agriculture. Assessment author?s participation was done by using ?straight count?.The Lotka theoretical value use the formula of yx=C/xn.. C is a constant and n is exponent. Based on the calculation with Lotka?s law, it is found that C=0.80773 and n= 2.81500. The result shows that the percentage of the authors giving contribution to 1 article is 80.77%. Test of Kolmogorov-Smirnov results shows that the maximum deviation is 0.08396 with critical value (with ? = 0.05) 0.02642, it shows that the maximum deviation is bigger than critical value. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and concluded that the dataset does not follow Lotka?s law (there is a significant difference between the Lotka?s law theoretic distribution and the distribution of article author in the field of Agriculture). Keywords: Agriculture Science, Author Productivity, Bibliometrics, Lotka Law

Abstract

AbstractInformation is disseminated to society through the media. Altmetrics is a new study on measurement based on social media utilization in the process of analyzing and informing an article. Most of the studies that use Altmetrics as a measuring tool are studies on scientific publication. This study applied the Altmetrics approach to study the performance of the news website Bola.com. The purpose of this study is to perform an analysis based on Facebook data share to know the popularity of Bola.com website and analyze correlation between Altmetrics Facebook data and pageview of website Bola.com. This study calculated coverage of Facebook for news published on January ? May 2016. The result shows that coverage analysis of Facebook in April increased compared toother months. The result also shows that the correlation between Altmetrics Facebook data and pageview is 0.5 that means moderatecorrelation. Most correlations analyzed are positive which means the relationship between content shared on Facebook has a positiverelationship with pageviews produced by Bola.com.Keywords: Altmetrics, Facebook, Social Media, Website Bola.com

Abstract

Institutional repository is an essential part functioning as a storage for keeping the collection of publication digitally. Del Institute of Technology (ITD) has its own collection of institutional publication but it does not have institutional repository. Before developing the application, it is essential that a feasibility study be conducted in order to ensure the development of ITD's application will run well. Feasibility study is conducted through first phase of knowledge management system life cycle and the model is IPB institutional repository. Based on the analysis of the feasibility of the ITD infrastructure percentages obtained in building institutional repository is 51.96%. The percentage is derived from the percentage of the value of the following eligibility is infrastructure (21.44%), human resources (14.33%), Budget (0%), Rules / SOP / SK (3,40%) and Content (12.79%). Based on the results of the study referred to the several things that need to be addressed in the effort to develop the institutional repository ITD and refer to the model repository development in IPB is to provide the infrastructure that is software as a tool for transferring media content repository, making decree team, create a SOP for digital documents and the handover of the scientific work of the academic community ITD. Abstract

Library performance measurement is one of a strategy to evaluate utilization of library resources. The objective of this study was to identify indicators needed to measure the performance and to design an counting system measurement at Open Service at National Library of Indonesia.  The measurement indicators were based on ISO 11620:2008 consisting of 45 indicators. It was selected 10 indicators: 1) percentage of required titles in the collection (RTC); 2) shelving accuracy (SA); 3)  staff per capita (LS); 4) collection turnover (CT); 5) loans per capita (LPC); 6) in-library use per capita (IUC); 7) library visits per capita (LVC); 8) percentage of target population reached (PTPR); 9) user satisfaction (AUS); 10)  user services staff as a percentage of total staff (USSPTS).  The indicators were selected through four stages: 1) selecting indicators related to activities in the Indonesia National Library and removing indicators related to activities that are not conducted in the institution; 2) removing indicators related to cost; 3)  identifying and selecting indicators related to vision and mission by the questionnaire; 4) analizing the results of the questionnaire and setting the indicators that have an average value of the results greater than 0 as an  selected indicator. The results of managements attitude that required the a performance counting system. System design was developed based on the system requirements and management?s needs. The system that was able to process data  into information of performance. The system was integrated with the integrated national library system (INLIS) and the data that were not available in INLIS were manually input. Steps of system developing were defining use case, description use case, activity diagram, class diagram, sequence diagram, object role/relational mapping and entity relationship diagram.  Keywords: Information System, ISO 11620, Library, Performance Indicators

Abstract

Acquisition Management of  Deposit Collection Information System in Indonesia National Library has been used for 3 years (since January 2012). During the usage, the Group of Acquisition, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Deposit Sub Directorate  found some obstacles include the unability of the system to detect double regist, a monotone display, too many menus and too many pages to get through before going to the desired page, the information resulted is not according to what needed, and the exsistance of backward analysis system which should be passed by a system when it has already been used. The data collection of this research used quessionaires which were spread among 17 system users that are the members Group of Acquisition, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Deposit Sub Directorate.  The data analysis used student statistic examination of one sample. The result of the study was the need of improvement about SIM of Deposit Collection Acquisition of Indonesia National Library related to the usability of the system to fulfill the usability elements, and the repairment recommendation belong to the categories of: Learnability, improvement of response for fasten of data searching by query optimization involving related tables of data required and indexing based on the tag ID and repair on the arranging and the use of features to be adjusted with the needs of users based on their user ID and position authority. Efficiency, improvement of response for fasten the response of data searching by query optimization involving related tables of data required and indexing based on the tag ID and addition to be able to copy and modify existing data and increase the ability of the system that the function keys in the keyboard  can be use in using the system. Easy to remember, the addition of the ability of the system that the keyboard function keys can be use in using the system. Error prevention, repair system's ability to identify errors and provide a message box or sign acclamation sign of error message containing an error message when the user made a mistake and adding dictionary menu associated with the terminology in the search box to avoid mistakes in typing. Abstract

Indonesia has the largest peatland area among tropical countries, covering about 21 milions ha, which spread mainly in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Papua. Land and forest fires occur almost every year in peatland areas in Indonesia. One of indicators for forest and land fires is hotspot. The objective of this study is to group hotspots with road and river as obstacles using the CPO-WCC (Clustering in Presence of Obstacles with Computed number of Cells) algorithm. Clusters of hotspot data were analyzed based on peatland area distribution. This study also evaluates the results of clustering on peatlands in order to obtain the best clusters. Clustering using CPO-WCC algorithm produces three clusters of hotspot. The area of dense cluster is 10202.10 km2 with number of hotspots per km2 is 0.985. The higest number of hotspots occurrence is found in peatland with type of Hemists /Saprists (60/40) and depth greater than 400 cm.

Abstract

Predicting hotspot occurrence as an indicator of forest and land fires is essential in developing an early warning system for fire prevention.  This work applied a spatial decision tree algorithm on spatial data of forest fires. The algorithm is the improvement of the conventional decision tree algorithm in which the distance and topological relationships are included to grow up spatial decision trees. Spatial data consist of a target layer and ten explanatory layers representing physical, weather, socio-economic and peatland characteristics in the study area Rokan Hilir District, Indonesia. Target objects are hotspots of 2008 and non-hotspot points.  The result is a pruned spatial decision tree with 122 leaves and the accuracy of 71.66%.  The spatial tree has produces higher accuracy than the non-spatial trees that were created using the ID3 and C4.5 algorithm. The ID3 decision tree has accuracy of 49.02% while the accuracy of C4.5 decision tree reaches 65.24%.

Abstract

Kebakaran hutan merupakan masalah yang serius karena dapat mengakibatkan dampak buruk terhadap lingkungan. Salah satu upaya pencegahan kebakaran hutan adalah membangun sistem informasi geografis (SIG) berbasis web untuk mengelola data histori titik api sebagai indikator terjadinya kebakaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun SIG berbasis web menggunakan perangkat lunak OpenGeo Suite 3.0. OpenGeo Suite merupakan aplikasi yang mengemas sistem manajemen basis data PostgreSQL dengan ekstensi spasial PostGIS dan server peta Geoserver sehingga memberikan kemudahan dalam pembangunan dan pengelolaan SIG berbasis web. SIG yang dibangun menyediakan fitur utama yaitu menampilkan peta Indonesia, fungsi pan map, zoom in, zoom out, dan fungsi pencarian persebaran titik api berdasarkan wilayah dan waktu. Dengan adanya SIG berbasis web ini, pengelolaan data histori titik api dapat dilakukan dengan mudah sehingga dapat membantu pengguna dalam penyediaan data histori dan persebaran titik api untuk wilayah Indonesia.Kata Kunci: OpenGeo Suite, sistem informasi geografis berbasis web, titik api.

Abstract

Detection and prediction of peatland cover changes needs to be done in the rapid rate of deforestation in Indonesia. This work applied Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Markov Chain Model on multitemporal satellite data. The study area is located in the Rokan Hilir district, Riau Province. SVM classification technique used to extract information from satellite data for the years 2000, 2004, 2006, 2009 and 2013. The Markov Chain Model was used to predict future peatland cover. The SVM classification result showed that the Kappa accuracy of peatland cover classification is more than 0.92. The non vegetation areas increased to 307% and the sparse vegetation areas increased to 22% between 2000 and 2013, while dense vegetation areas decreased to 61%. Prediction of future land cover by the Markov Chain Model showed that the use of multitemporal satellite data with 3 years interval provides accurate result for predicting peatland cover changes.

Abstract

 Over one-year period (March 2013 – March 2014), 58 percent of all detected hotspots in Indonesia are found in Riau Province. According to the data, Rokan Hilir shared the greatest number of hotspots, about 75% hotspots alert occur in peatland areas. This study applied spatial decision tree algorithms to classify classes before burned, burned, and after burned from remote sensed data of peatland area in Kubu and Pasir Limau Kapas subdistrict, Rokan Hilir, Riau. The decision tree algorithm based on spatial autocorrelation is applied by involving Neigborhood Split Autocorrelation Ratio (NSAR) to the information gain of CART algorithm. This spatial decision tree classification method is compared to the conventional decision tree algorithms, namely, Classification and Regression Trees (CART),  C5.0, and C4.5 algorithm. The experimental results showed that the C5.0 algorithm generate the most accurate classifier with the accuracy of  99.79%. The implementation of spatial decision tree algorithm succesfuly improve the accuracy of CART algorithm.
