Abstract

Anak yang dirawat di rumah sakit sering  mengalami  reaksi hospitalisasi dalam bentuk anak rewel, tidak mau didekati oleh petugas kesehatan, ketakutan, tampak cemas, tidak kooperatif,  bahkan tamper tantrum. Tujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas lingkungan terapeutik terhadap reaksi hospitalisasi pada anak. Rancanganpenelitian quasy eksperiment dengan desain crossectional. Sampel 44 anak usia 1-13 tahun. Analisis data denganindependent t-test dan chi-square. Hasil penelitian diperoleh lingkungan terapetik efektif untuk meminimalkanreaksi hospitalisasi. Reaksi hospitalisasi ditunjukkan dengan angka signifikansi dari variabel reaksi hospitalisasiyang meliputi kecemasan anak (p-value=0,004), sikap kooperatif (p-value=0,000), respon anak (p-value=0,000),mood anak (p-value=0,000), dan sikap penerimaan pada petugas (p-value=0,000). Hendaknya perawat ruanganak menerapkan lingkungan terapeutik  sehingga dapat meminimalkan reaksi hospitalisasi negatif.Kata kunci: lingkungan terapetik, reaksi hospitalisasi

Abstract

Latar belakang:Pelaksanaan program EMAS (expanding maternal and neonatal survival) perlu dilakukan evaluasi apakah dapat menurunkan angka kematian neonatus. Pelaksanaan program EMAS  di Kabupaten Banyumas perlu di evaluasi keberhasilannya dengan parameter ada atau tidaknya penurunan angka kematian neonatus.Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian untuk diketahuinya deskripsi pelaksanaan program EMAS di Kabupaten Banyumas dan diketahuinya angka kematian bayi sebelum dan sesudah pelaksanaan program EMAS.Metode:Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan desain penelitian evaluasi/ survey.Pendekatanpenelitian menggunakan cross sectional. Teknik analisis data yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis univariat untuk data angka kematian dan deskriptif untuk data kegiatan program EMAS yang diterapkan.Hasil: Hasilnya terdapat kenaikan prosentase kematian neonatus dari sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan program EMAS sebesar 3% pada kasus rujukan dan 6% pada kasus internal. Hal ini disebabkan karena pelaksanaan program baru pada tahap awal. Data angka kematian pada tahun 2013 belum dapat dinilai karena sedang proses pemantauan sampai dengan akhir tahun 2013.Kesimpulan: Penilaian terhadap angka kematian perlu dilanjutkan setelah data angka kematian pada tahun 2013 tercatat. Hendaknya peneliti selanjutnya melakukan penelitian yang lebih detail terkait analisis hubungan antar variabel yang terkait termasuk kasus yang menyebabkan terjadinya kegawatan.Kata kunci: program EMAS, kematian neonatus

Abstract

Background: Nursing child in principle to minimize stressors, prevent feelings of loss, minimize the fear of injury and pain, as well as to maximize the benefits of treatment in the hospital. It should be considered thatprovide atraumatic care environment is one of the effective ways to overcome the effects of hospitalization.Objective: To determine the effect of the use of pictorial vest at the rate of anxiety as a nurse hospitalizationeffect on preschoolers at Cempaka Room Hospital Dr. R. Goetheng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga.Methods: This study uses a quasi experimental design with a method of pretest-posttest control group design.Population is all children admitted to the Hospital Dr. Cempaka Room. R. Goetheng Taroenadibrata Purbalinggawere 97 pediatric patients. The number of samples in this study were 48 patients taken by purposive samplingchildren. Questionnaire was modified from the Taylor Manifest Anxiety Scale (TMAS), and Zungs Self AnxietyScale (Z-SAS). Analysis of univariate and bivariate data, using independent sample t test trials.Results: There is an effect on the level of use of pictorial vest hospitalization anxiety in preschool-agedchildren who are hospitalized for the first time at Cempaka Room Hospital Dr. R. Goetheng TaroenadibrataPurbalingga because p-value is smaller than α = 0.05 level (p-value 0.006 <α 0.05), which means that Ha isaccepted.Conclusions and Recommendations: In principle, provide nursing care to children in order to minimizestressors and maximize the benefits of treatment in the hospital. The thing to remember is that providingatraumatic care environment is one of the effective ways to overcome the effects of hospitalization.Keywords: Effect, Vest, Nurse, Anxiety, Hospitalization, Preschool.

Abstract

Background: In 2011 in dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata Purbalingga number of diarrheahospitalizations in children numbered 732. One reason is that governance is not fast and rightat home, governance is fast and precise to be supported by a knowledge especially to mothersregarding prevention and treatment of diarrhea in children.Objective: To know the effectiveness of a paperback book on knowledge of mothers about diarrheaprevention and treatment of diarrhea in children.Methodology: This research is a type of experiment (pre-experiment design) using design onegroup pre-test and post design with no control group (comparison). The population in this study wereall mothers who have children with diarrhea who were hospitalized in a chrysolite in January-May2012 in dr. R. Goeteng Taroenadibrata many as 174 children Purbalingga diarrhea. The sampleused in this study were 32 mothers who had children with diarrhea were taken accidental samplingtechnique. Data were collected using kuesoiner and analyzed using paired T test (paired).Results: Before being a paperback book, the greatest percentage of maternal knowledge is at ascore of 20 as many as 9 people (28.1%). Having given a paperback book, the greatest percentageof maternal knowledge is the score of 23 as many as 9 people (28.1%) . It is known that the p valueof knowledge scores before and after 0000 is equal to the mean p value <0.05. Then Ho is rejectedso it can be concluded that the administration has a booklet on maternal knowledge about theeffectiveness of treatment of diarrhea.Conclusion: There is a difference given the knowledge before and after the mothers pocket bookof diarrhea on how preventive and treatment of diarrhea in children dr. Abstract

It is time for nursing informatics technology applied to the Indonesian health care service. During the last time thisapplication is hampered because of limited funds, lack of human resources, and stuck in a routine that makes lazy tochange. System of care in pediatric wards has special characteristics so that the nursing information system softwareprogram must be added wuth the principles of pediatric nursing. Application of information technology in nursing servicewill save energy, cost, and time. The purpose of this article is to analyze the needs of the application of informationsystems in inpatient of pediatric wards with a DSS model that is expected to accelerate the program achieved acomputerized nursing information system at Indonesia hospitals, especially in pediatric wards. The implementation ofnursing information systems in pediatric wards is nothing impossible with work with all stakeholders ranging from themanagerial, executive nurses, other health care team, patients, and information technology experts.Keywords: Information technology, pediatric nursing, DSS model.

Abstract

This article presents the results of the research about an Analysis of English Textbook forEleventh Year Students of Senior High School on the Basis of the 2013 Curriculum. The research was qualitativeresearch with descriptive method as the proper method. The object of the research was an English textbook foreleventh year students of Senior High School based on the 2013 Curriculum, with the title Bahasa InggrisKelas XI SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Semester 1, published by The Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia.The data of this research are the textbook contents, the approach and methods available on the Englishtextbook. The researcher uses a documentary analysis as the technique of collecting the data. For the techniqueof analyzing the data, the researcher uses the descriptive analysis to interpret the data. In giving the percentage,the researcher uses “Criterion Referenced Evaluation” to percentage how far the textbook develops the contentwhich suitable with criteria of the 2013 Curriculum textbook and to percentage how far the textbook appliesapproach and methods in the English textbook.The research findings reveal that from percentage of the data, that 100% of the textbook content meansthat this percentage belongs to very good category. It implies that the English Textbook follows the demand ofthe 2013 Curriculum. Besides, from precentage of approach and methods, that is 80%, it means that approachand methods suggested by the 2013 Curriculum which are developed on the English textbook are good enough.The approach and methods which are developed in the textbook are scientific approach, discovery learning,problem based learning, and project based learning.Key Words: English textbook, syllabus, 2013 Curriculum.

Abstract

Tujuan dari makalah ini adalah untuk memberikan alternatif strategi dalam mengajar reading/ membaca. Cara mengajar yang sekarang ini ditekankan adalah dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaranActive Learning. Pembelajaran Active Learning menuntut para peserta didik untuk aktif dalam prosespembelajaran. Pembelajaran Active Learning juga dikenal dengan pembelajaran Students-Centered. Adabeberapa macam strategi dalam pembelajaran Active Learning. Pemilihan strategi atau metode disesuaikandengan materi pembelajaran atau skill yang akan dicapai. Makalah ini memaparkan tentang strategi Question– Answer Relationship (QAR) dalam mengajar reading skill (kemampuan membaca). QAR merupakan salahsatu strategi dalam Active Learning yang terbukti dapat meningkatkan minat dan kemampuan peserta didikdalam belajar reading. Peserta didik diminta untuk mengidentifikasi mana informasi yang mereka gunakanuntuk menjawab pertanyaan tentang bacaan tersebut adalah informasi tersirat, informasi tersurat, atau informasiyang berdasarkan latar belakang pengetahuan peserta didik itu sendiri. Dengan menggunakan strategi QAR,peserta didik akan dapat mengenali kemungkinan letak jawaban dengan mengklasifikasikan pertanyaanberdasarkan tipenya sehingga dapat mengetahui kemampuan mereka dalam memahami bacaan.Kata kunci: Question-Answer Relationship (QAR), teaching reading

Abstract

Background: One of the efforts in the health sector for programs to reduce infant and under-five mortality and morbidity rates is by the competence-based integrated management childhood illness (CB-IMCI) program. However, the program has been poorly implemented by health workers at the health center. Thus, the involvement of cadres is needed and their competency remains important to be improved.Objective: To quantitatively analyze cadre knowledge and competencies in the CB-IMCI program, and its relationship with the implementation of CB-IMCI, as well as to qualitatively explore and analyze the responses of cadres, health workers, and the community to the addition of cadre roles to the management of sick children.Methods: This was a mixed methods study with randomized controlled trials and qualitative method. For randomized controlled trials, 100 cadres were selected, which 50 randomly assigned in the intervention and control group. And for quantitative methods, informants included 10 cadres, 4 health workers, and 20 mothers. Paired t-test and independent t-test were employed for quantitative analysis, and triangulation was used for qualitative analysis.Results: The improvement of knowledge in the intervention group was better (I=14.42/C=4.44/p-value 0.00). The intervention group was more competent in the management of child illness (p-value 0.00). In addition, the cadres have additional competencies assisted by health workers to confidently detect cases earlier, and health center services reach a wider coverage in the community.Conclusion: The addition of cadres roles and competencies in the management of child illness in the community can be implemented in Banyumas Regency. It is suggested that the implementation of this program should be followed up in other health centers by the health department of Indonesia.
