Abstract

Religious education was firstly implemented based on the Act of Number 4 year1950, concerning education and teaching. In one of its articles, it is stated that Indonesia is areligion-based country. The govern ment has the right and is obliged to arrange religiouseducation starting from Kindergarten to University and the time allocated for this is 2 (two)hours per week. However, an imbalance has occurred as far as Hindu Religion education isconcerned, that is, the students at particular educational institutions are not provided withHindu Religion education as intended by the Act.In Article 30 of the Act of Number 20 year 2003 concerning national educationsystem, on the other hand, it is stated that: any religious education can be carried out by thegovernment and or a community?s group belonging to a particular religion in accordancewith the applicable regulations. It is also stated that religious education is functioned toprepare the students to be able to comprehend and apply their religious teaching values and orto be experts in religions. In addition, it is also stated that religious education can be formallyand informally conducted in the forms of diniyah, pesantren, pesraman, phabaja, smnera,and the like.How Hindu Religion educa tion is implemented at Elementary School Number 17Dauh Puri and Dwijendra Elementary School Depasar cannot be separated from theinfrastructure, facilities, curri culum and teachers available, and the government?s policy.Therefore, this study is focused on 1) the existence of the components needed forimplementing Hindu Religion education, 2) the factors influencing the implementation ofHindu religion education, and 3) the meaningfulness and attempts done to implement HinduReligion education if related to the inventory of Balinese culture.This study is conducted to explain, describe, criticize, and analyze theimplementation of Hindu Religion education at Elementary School Number 17 Dauh Puri andDwijendra Elementary School Denpasar. The benefit that is intended to be achieved in thisstudy is to contribute to the inventory of Hinduism and to serve as something to be taken intoaccount when any decision related to Hindu Religion education is made.Researches on Hinduism have been conducted by some researchers. However, onlya few have been carried out related to Hindu Religion education. Further matters related toHindu Religion education provided at elementary school need to be done. The concepts madeavailable in this study are very essential. The reason is that such concepts serve as theguidelines in this study. The concepts employed are those related to the implementation ofeducation, general education, Hindu Religion education, Elementary School, and culturalstudies.The theories employed to answer the matters related to the implementation of HinduReligion education at Elementary School Number 17 Dauh Puri and Dwijendra Elementary School Depasar are: 1) the Derida?s theory of deconstruction, 2) Gramsci?s theory ofHegemony, and 3) Piaget?s constructivistic theory. In addition, a research model is alsoemployed in this study. The reason is that it serves as the researcher?s thinking flow indescribing and reporting the research.The methods employed in this study include the research planning, the researchlocation, the types and sources of data, the informant determination, the researchinstruments, the data collecting technique, the data analysis, and how the results arepresented. The purpose is to obtain objective data concerning the implementation of HinduReligion education at elementary school. The objective research method is able to describetotally and objectively how Hindu Religion education is implemented at Elementary SchoolNumber 17 Dauh Puri and Dwijendara Elementary School Denpasar.The novelty in this study is that the learning infrastructure and facilities needed tocarry out Hindu Religion education both at Elementary School Number 17 Dauh Puri andDwijendra Elementary School Depasar have not been in accordance with the minimumstandard of service , that the curriculum has not been totally oriented towards the schools?potentials and students, that the teachers have not been innovated in the learning process, andthat the government?s policy has not been made for multicultural education. In the process oflearning Hindu Religion, the schools have attempted to increase the quality of Hindu Religioneducation, to develop school-based management, and to apply multidisciplinary approach.

Abstract

This paper aimed at describing and explaining chemistry learning strategy for senior high school students based on starter experiment. This learning strategy was developed through research and development (R&D) accommodated from Borg and Gall. The learning strategy consists of three main parts, namely: learning theory, social situation, and syntax. The learning theory used for developing this learning strategy are behavioristics, cognitive constructivist, and social constructivist learning theories. The social situation explains the role of teachers, students, and schools in the implementation of learning strategy: teachers play a role as learning manager, students play a role as active learners, and schools play a role as learning facilities provider. The syntax consists of three main steps, namely observation, concept formulation, and concept application. The observation step consists observation of macroscopic phenomena of matter, writing of observation results, and formulation of questions conducted individually by students. These activities are followed by the discussion of observation results, questions formulation, and question answers conducted by students in groups. The concept formulation and application are also conducted by students in groups based on the task given by the teacher. Therefore, it can be mentioned that this learning strategy involved individual dan group learning of students focused on student centre learning activities. It is believed that this learning strategy can be used to enhance students? participation and achievement in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan taksonomi  dan penilaian hasil belajarberbasis kompetensi. Perumusan taksonomi tersebut dilakukan melalui penelitianpengembangan dengan lima tahapan pokok, yaitu pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan,perumusan gagasan model taksonomi, pengujian model oleh ahli, dan penyempurnaanmodel taksonomi. Hasil penelitian ini berupa rumusan taksonomi penilaian hasil belajarberbasis kompetensi yang selanjutnya diberi nama Taksonomi Trikaya. Taksonomi Trikayaterdiri atas tiga domein, yaitu domein pikiran (manacika), perkataan (wacika), dan perbuatan(kayika). Domein pikiran teridiri atas: 1) berpikir faktual, 2) berpikir positif, 3) berpikir rasional logis, 4) berpikir kritis, dan 5) berpikir kreatif inovatif. Domein perkataan tediri atas: 1)berbicara santun, 2) berbicara faktual, 3) berbicara rasional logis, 4) berbicara sistematis,dan 5) berbicara komunikatif. Domein perbuatan terdiri atas: 1) berbuat sopan, 2) berbuatpatuh, 3) berbuat jujur, 4) berbuat yakin, dan 5) berbuat kreatif inovatif.

Abstract

Gempa bumi merupakan salah satu peristiwa alam yang belum bisa diramalkan kejadiannya dan dapat menimbulkan kerugian material hingga merenggut korban nyawa manusia. Oleh karena itu, peristiwa gemba bumi perlu diinformasikan kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat, terutama kepada siswa sekolah dasasr (SD). Penelitian ini merupakan implementasi kurikulum Mitigasi Bencana Alam Gempa Bumi (MBAGB) yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan MBAGB kepada siswa SD dan mengidentifikasi permasalahan-permasalahan yang muncul dalam pelatihan. Dalam penelitian ini, dilibatkan sebanyak 55 orang siswa SD yang terdiri atas siswa kelas IV dan kelas V. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa para siswa mengikuti pembelajaran secara sungguh-sungguh, baik dalam bentuk mendengarkan informasi yang diberikan maupun dalam latihan-latihan yang dipraktikan. Namun demikian, mereka mengalami hambatan dalam mengerjakan tes tertulis. Banyak siswa belum bisa memahami pertanyaan yang diberikan dan belum mampu mengomunikasikan pemahaman dan pengetahuannya secara tertulis. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan agar di SD proses pembelajaran membaca, menulis, dan menalar perlu ditingkatkan sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe and explain the students’ satisfaction toward chemistry learning process and the factors influence at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja in academic year 2016/2017. The type of this research was quantitative descriptive. The students’ grade X, XI IPA and XII IPA at SMA Laboratorium Undiksha Singaraja were used as the population of this research. Sample size was determined by Slovin formula with sampling error of 5%. Technique sampling in this research was multistage random sampling. Students interviewed were students had low and high percentage. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics method. The results showed that the students’ satisfaction level in high category. The highest student’ satisfaction was on tangible dimension and the lowest was on empathy dimension. The satisfier factors toward chemistry learning are learning process, learning result, learning progress, teacher appreciation, and gift of the task. The dissatisfier factors toward chemistry learning are the learning atmosphere, the interaction of teacher with students, the interaction between students, and the return of task. Therefore, the teacher suggested to increase the sense of empathy and satisfier condition toward the students. Furthermore, the headmaster should be make a policy to overcome student satisfaction’ problems by paying attention to the sense of teachers’ empathy to students and the dissatisfier factors.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil penilaian hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan implementasi Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah 15 orang guru yang terdiri atas guru SD, SMP, dan SMA, masing-masing lima orang. Data yang dibutuhkan untuk penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan angket, dokumen, dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif interpretatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa deskripsi profil penilaian hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari sembilan aspek penilaian, yaitu: ranah penilaian, pelaku penilaian, jenis alat penilaian, bentuk tes, bentuk nontest, bentuk laporan hasil belajar, skala penilaian, waktu penilaian, dan teknik pengumpulan hasil belajar. Dalam melakukan penilaian hasil belajar, guru mengalami beberapa masalah berkaitan dengan jumlah unsur penilaian, kompleksitas penilaian, pembuatan instrumen penilaian, pelaksanaan penilaian, dan pelaporan hasil penilaian. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disarankan agar penilaian hasil belajar siswa disederhanakan dan tetap memenuhi prinsip-prinsip penilaian, seperti komprehensif, objektif, transparan, dan akuntabel. Kata Kunci: penilaian, hasil belajar, dan kurikulum 2013. Abstract This research aimed at describing the profile of students’ learning achievement based on the implementation of 2013 Curriculum. This research was a qualitative descriptive research using phenomenological approach. The total subjects of this research were 15 teachers including five elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school, respectively. Questionnaire, document, and interview techniques were used to collect all data. Descriptive interpretive technique was used to analyse all data. The research results revealed that the description of the profiles of students’ learning achievement are viewed from nine evaluation aspects, namely: domain of learning achievement, evaluator, assessment tools, the form of test, the form of non test, the form of report, the scale used, the period of assessment, and the techniques of assessment. In evaluating students’ learning achievement, teacher faces problems related to the number of evaluation elements, the complexity of evaluation, instrument formulation, assessment frequency, and reporting assessment results. Based on this finding, it is suggested that the evaluation of students’ learning achievement should be simplified and still fulfilling the principle of assessment, such as comprehensive, objective, transparent, and accountable. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan pengaruh model pembelajaran guided discovery terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Sukasada tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group desaign. Data keterampilan proses sains siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes keterampilan proses sains. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji ANCOVA satu jalur yang dilakukan terhadap angka signifikansi nilai statistik F varian dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa angka signifikansi nilai statistik F varian adalah 0,000 yang berarti bahwa H0 ditolak. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa yang diberi pelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran guided discovery dan siswa yang diberi pelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, penerapan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran guided discovery memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa.Kata kunci: keterampilan proses sains, model pembelajaran guided discovery, model pembelajaran konvensional

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis (1) perbedaan penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, (2) perbedaan penguasaan materi antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung, dan (3) perbedaan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran langsung.Penelitian ini merupakankuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan Pretest-Posttest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs. Negeri Patas tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 yang berjumlah 146 siswa.Sampel penelitian berjumlah 116 siswayang diambil dengan teknik random kelas. Variabel yang diukur dalam penelitian ini adalah penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis deskriptif dan analisis MANOVA satu jalur dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan model pembelajaran langsung (F=26,940; p<0,05), (2) terdapat perbedaan penguasaan materi antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan model pembelajaran langsung (F=45,940; p<0,05), dan (3) terdapat perbedaan keterampilan pemecahan masalah antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dan model pembelajaran langsung (F=11,262; p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat direkomendasikan bahwa model pembelajaran sains teknologi masyarakat dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan penguasaan materi dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Abstrak:          Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar IPA berbasis masalah pada topik klasifikasi benda untuk siswa kelas VII SMP yang valid, praktis dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development), dengan mengikuti langkah pengembangan dari Sugiyono (2011). Proses dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga tahapan pokok pengembangan yaitu: (1) penyusunan draf bahan ajar, (2) uji ahli, (3) uji lapangan dalam skala terbatas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 4 Abiansemal pada kelas VIIA dengan jumlah siswa 36 orang.. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) bahan ajar IPAyang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid dilihat dari nilai validitas buku siswa adalah 4,83 dan validitas buku guru adalah 4,86 dari skor maksimum yang ditetapkan 5,00, (2) Bahan ajar IPA dinyatakan praktis dilihat dari keterlaksanaan bahan ajar, respon guru, dan respon siswa terhadap bahan ajar dengan skor rata-rata 3,87 (praktis); 3,94 (praktis); 3,76 (praktis) dari skor maksimum yang ditetapkan 5,00, (3) bahan ajar IPAdinyatakan efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari skor rata-rata posttest yang diperoleh sebesar 86,74 dan nilai gain ternomalisasi sebesar 0,77 yang dapat dikategorikan sangat baik.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar IPA berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan telah memiliki kualitas yang baik dan memenuhi standar kelayakan bahan ajar yang meliputi tiga aspek yaitu valid, praktis dan efektif. Kata-kata kunci: bahan ajar, IPA, berbasis masalah. Abstract: This study aims to produce science-based teaching materials problem on the topic of object classification for class VII students who are valid, practical and effective in learning. This research is a research and development, by following the development steps of Sugiyono (2011). The process in this study consisted of three main stages of development, namely: (1) preparation of the draft teaching materials, (2) expert testing, (3) field testing on a limited scale. This research was conducted at SMP N 4 Abiansemal in class VIIA with a total of 36 students. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the science teaching material developed was declared valid based on the value of the validity of student books is 4.83 and the validity of teacher's books was 4, 86 of the maximum score set of 5.00, (2) Natural science teaching materials are expressed practically in terms of the implementation of teaching materials, teacher responses, and student responses to teaching materials with an average score of 3.87 (practical); 3.94 (practical); 3.76 (practical) of the maximum score set of 5.00, (3) IPAD teaching materials are declared to be effective in improving student learning outcomes seen from the average posttest score obtained by 86.74 and the nominal gain value of 0.77 which can be categorized very good. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the problem-based science teaching materials developed have good quality and meet the standards of teaching material eligibility which include three aspects, namely valid, practical and effective. Keywords: teaching materials, Integrated Science, problem base learning.
