Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh INSTAD yang dipadu dengan peta konsep terhadap ketrampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar biologi kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo Tahun akademik 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain Posttest Only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo tahun akademik 2012/2013. Teknik sampling adalah kluster sampling dengan sampel siswa kelas X4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Data ketrampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar kognitif dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes. Sementara itu, data hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotor dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji T. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai T hitung ketrampilan proses sains sebesar 11,218 dengan nilai signifikan-si 0,000. Nilai T hitung hasil belajar kognitif 10,247 dengan signifikansi 0,000. Nilai T hitung hasil belajar afektif sebesar 4,178 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000. Nilai T hitung hasil belajar psikomotor sebesar 3,362 dengan signifikansi 0,002. Nilai ketrampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar biologi kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol. Berarti ada pengaruh INSTAD dipadu dengan peta konsep terhadap ketrampilan proses sains dan hasil belajar biologi siswa kelas X SMA N 1 Sukoharjo Tahun Akademik 2012/2013.Kata kunci: INSTAD dipadu peta konsep, ketrampilan proses sains, hasil belajar biologi

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The aim of this research is improve quality of biology learning for teacher?s performance, conditioning class, student science attitude in class, and student motivation of achievement in student class X 7 in 2nd senior high school of Sukoharjo. The research is classroom action research. The steps of research include planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The collecting data of research uses questionnaire, observation, and interview. Validation data uses triangulation of methods and triangulation of observers. The research uses descriptive as analytic data. The acts of research are consists of three cycles. The result in cycles I describes that generally the research target is not achieve yet that showed teacher?s performance indicators are 86,46%, conditioning class indicators are 62,14%, science attitude of students in class are 62,86%, and motivation of achievement in students are 53,33%. The result in cycles II describes that the research target is not achieve yet optimally that showed teacher?s performance indicators are 100%, conditioning class indicators are 67,86%, science attitude of students in class are 63,81%, and motivation of achievement in students are 65,40%. The result in cycles III describes that the research target is completely achieve and showed that teacher?s performance indicators are 100%, conditioning class indicators are 75,71%, science attitude of students in class are 75,72%, and motivation of achievement in students are 79,05%. Cycles stopped in cycles III because the research target is achieve. The conclusion of this research describes that the implementation of Class-Wide Peer Tutoring learning model with drew story medium can improve quality of biology learning for teacher?s performance, conditioning class, science attitude of student, and motivation of achievement in student of class X 7 in 2nd senior high school of Sukoharjo. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The research is aimed to developing an items test and questionnaire analysis software in order that facilitate students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University who are conducting research in schools  to analyzing the items test and questionnaire. The software is AN Soft 1.0 that has functions to facilitate the user in analyzing the items test and questionnaire. The software is based on Microsoft Visual Foxpro 9.0 with Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 as controllers. The research is belonged to Research and Development Method (R & D) (Borg, WR and Gall, MD, 1989) with the following research stages. Research and initial data collection, planning, making the initial product, the initial product  test, the initial product improvements, field test, operational and product improvements. The research involves the following trial subjects. (1) The initial test involving an educational expert, visual communication expert, and information technology expert. (2) The small trial group involves 30 students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University. (3) The large trial group involves 50 students of Biology Education Department, Sebelas Maret University. The data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive approach that describes and interprets the qualitative data. Before the data was analyzed, carried out the quantification of data from the questionnaires and the assessment form then the data was analyzed qualitatively. The interviews data was analyzed qualitatively. The results of field test 1 and 2 showed that there is an increasing percentage of the total score from all aspects. The results of the questionnaire showed that the rate of interesting on AN Soft 1.0 users increased from 85.33% to 89.8% is classified as very strong, the ease of installing Soft AN 1.0 increased from 84.33% to 94.2% is classified as very strong, The ease of operations AN Soft 1.0 increased from 84% to 93.4% is classified as very strong, and the mastery level of AN Soft 1.0 users increased from 81% to 90.6% which is classified as very strong. Based on the results, it was concluded the developing of items test and questionnaire analysis software product can be facilitating users to analysis items test and questionnaire in accordance with the rules of proper instruments analysis. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The  research is classroom action research. The aim is to improve class climate and student?s learning motivation in class X-1 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta by integrating ICT media into collaborative learning approach  that implemented in biology learning  process.  This act is based on the biology learning process observation  in class X-1 where   researcher found some learning problems. They are class  climate  and  student?s  learning motivation. Based on literatures  study, we give solution to improve them by integrating ICT media into collaborative learning approach.  Main data  is  collected from questioner  and    observation. While additional data is taken from interview, documentation, and test. Validation data uses triangulation and expert team. The act of research consists  of two cycles. Research target is 65% for class climate and 60% for student?s learning  motivation. The result of cycle  1 describes that generally the research target is accomplished not optimally. Percentage of class climate is 65,54% and student?s learning motivation  is 72,58%. The result of cycle  2 describes that generally the research target is accomplished optimally.  Percentage of class  climate  is  73,65%  and  student?s learning motivation is 77,30%. This cycle stopped here because targets accomplished optimally. Class climate and student?s learning motivation increase well.  This learning approach can improve targets because it?s syntax  support student?s  interaction and  interest. The conclusion of this research describes that integration ICT media into collaborative learning approach can improve  class climate and student?s learning motivation in class X-1 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The purposes of this research are to ascertain: 1)  the influence of guided discovery methode toward scientific attitudes and 2) the influence of guided discovery learning methode  toward student?s achievement in cognitive domain. The research was quasi experiment research. The research was designed using randomized control-group pretest-postest design. Experimental group applied guided discovery method. Control group applied conventional metode. The populations of this research were all of 10th degree students at SMA Negeri 7 Surakarta in academic year 2011/2012. The samples of this research were the students of X2 as control group consist of 30 students and X3 as experiment group consist of 31 students. The sample of this research was established by cluster random sampling. The scientific attitudes data was collected by questionaire and the student?s achievement in cognitive domain was collected by essay test. The hypotheses of scientific attitudes data analyzed by t test and the student?s achievement in cognitive domain data analyzed by anacova.  The conclusions of this research are: 1) application of guided discovery learning method had significant effect toward scientific attitudes;  2)  application of guided discovery learning method had significant effect toward student?s achievement in cognitive domain. Abstract

ABSTRACT -  This research aims to find out : (1) the effect of the implementation of active learning strategy; Active Knowledge Sharing strategy towar student achievement in Biology at the grade of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; (2) the effect of students?learning style toward student achievement in Biology at the grade of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; and (3) the interaction between learning strategy and learning style simultaneously toward student achievement in Biology at the grade of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. Learning process at school which is dominated by teacher causes student  haven't got active role. The different learning styles of the students necessitate the teacher has to use varied and innovative learning strategyes that enable students to be actively involved in learning process. The use of those strategies are expected to be able of optimizing students  achievement. This research belongs to Quasi experiment which use Randomized Control Only Design. The independent variables of this research are learning strategy and learning style, while the students? achievement in Biology is the dependent variable. The population of this research is all student of  Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta in Academic Year 2011/2012. The sample of this research are the students of class X-5 as the control group and the students of class X-4 as the experimental group that are taken by cluster random sampling. The data of the students? achievement are completed by test and observation techniques. Learning style is meansured by questionnaires. The analysis technique of this research is two away anava in different cell while the advance analysis is Bunfferoni test. From the results, it can be concluded that: : 1) Active Learning;  Active Knowledge Sharing strategy has significant effect toward biology?s student achievement (cognitive, affective, and psycomotor) of Class X at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; 2) Learning style does not have significant effect toward biology?s student achievement (cognitive, affective, and psycomotor) of Class X  at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta; 3) There is an interaction between learning strategy and learning style toward biology?s student achievement (cognitive, affective, and psycomotor) of Class X  at SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta.   Key Word: Student Achievement In Biology, Active Learning,  Active Knowledge Sharing, Learning Style

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif biologi akibat penerapan pembelajaran ClassWide Peer Tutoring dengan pembelajaran multimodel pada siswa kelas X SMA Laboratorium Universitas Negeri Malang Tahun Pelajaran 2007/2008.Sejalan dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai, metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah  penelitian quasi eksperimen. Desain penelitian dirancang dengan desain pretes dan postes dengan kelompok tidak diacak. Sampel dipilih dua kelas yang ada dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 31 siswa untuk kelompok kontrol dan 31 siswa untuk kelompok eksperimen dari total populasi kelas X sebanyak enam kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 186 orang. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah analisis kovarian (anakova) dengan melakukan kontrol terhadap nilai pretes masing variabel terikat. Analisis anakova memanfaatkan aplikasi SPSS 16,0 for Windows.Hasil uji statistik dengan anakova pada variabel terikat hasil belajar kognitif dengan melakukan kontrol terhadap nilai pretes menunjukkan bahwa nilai F hitung untuk strategi pernbelajaran adalah 5,764 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,020. Oleh karena taraf signifikansi 0,020 < 0,05 maka hipotesis nol (H0) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (H1) diterima. Jika Ho ditolak dan H1 diterima maka hipotesis penelitian ini diterima, artinya ada perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif biologi akibat pembelajaran CWPT dan hasil belajar kognitif biologi akibat pembelajaran multimodel pada siswa kelas X SMA Laboratoriurn Universitas Negeri Malang tahun pelajaran2007/2008.Kata Kunci: Classwide Peer Tutoring, hasil belajar kognitif

Abstract

Based on our observation to student and discussion with biology teacher of SMPN 27 Surakarta on April 15, 2010, known that there were complicated problems in Biology class VII-D. The core of those problems was most of the students? ability on higher order thinking was still lower, therefore, in this research we want to try to solve the problems by classroom action research (CAR). Some studies shown that applying syntax of inquiry and STAD model have many advantages to solve this problem. Hence, these models was applied in this school. The research was conducted during 7 months, start from April until November 2010. The research design was Classroom Actions Research by Kemis and Taggart model, which consist of four phases, i.e. planning of action, doing the action, observation, and reflection. The result of this research showed that applying syntax of integrated inquiry and STAD model can improve the student ability on higher order thinking at Biology classes of grade VII SMPN 27 Surakarta. Keyword: Inquiry, STAD, INSTAD, Higher Order Thinking

Abstract

ABSTRACT- This research aims to raise student competence trough the application of constructivism approach. A cooperative Problem Based Learning is used to achieve the aforesaid goal. This is a classroom action research that performed towards 48 university student at the fourth semester in Faculty of Teacher Training and Education. The          dependent variable in this research was student?s competence whereas the independent variable is the application of the aforementioned approach and model. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? This research aims toimprovebiologi?s  science skill process towards students in grade of X-8 of SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjoby implementation of Think Talk Write strategy based on contextual learning. This research belongs to Classroom Action Research. Qualitative research paradigm is used asan approach to view all the obtained data.This Classroom Action Research is performed and consist of3 cycles. Each cycles consist of four stages namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data for each cycle were gathered by using 3 kinds of data collection procedures, questionnaires, observations, and interviews. All the obtained data then were analyses descriptively to ascertain whether the applications of Classroom Action Research is considered as effective or otherwise. From the results, it can be concluded that the implementation of Think Talk Write strategy based on contextual learningtowards students of class X-8 SMA Negeri 1 Sukoharjo academic year 2010/2011 has given a good effect. According to theobservationof student activities indicators is rise from  62,25% to the 77,08% during the 1st Cycle and rise up to 82,25% during the last Cycle. As compare to the previous observationthe result of thequestionnaireupon the same indicators is rise from 65,02% to the 70,69%duringthe 1st Cycle and ended with  77,55 % during the last Cycle. Yet it can be concluded that the application of Think Talk Write strategy based on contextual learning could improve the science skill process.
