Abstract

One of the methods in casting process is centrifugal casting. Generally, it is used to make a product in the form of cylinder or symmetric on spin mold. Thus, it is necessary to discuss further about the influence of rotation velocity variation on the quality of Aluminum casting product that enwrap mechanical characteristic and micro structure. The velocity variations that chosen are 150 rpm, 180 rpm and 200 rpm. This experiment is executed by looking at micro structure that is produced on each rotation variation especially the part of cross section of casting product. Then, it can be done a discussion about micro structure relation towards the hardness number on each rotation variation. In the observation of micro structure, grain structure that is produced by centrifugal casting is generally equiaxed and columnar with the orientation of direction in accordance with the direction of machine velocity. From the result of Vickers hardness test, it can be seen that rotation variation on 200 rpm show higher hardness number rather than another rotation variation. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Salah satu metode dalam proses pengecoran adalah pengecoran centrifugal yang pada umumnya digunakan untuk menghasilkan benda berbentuk silinder atau benda kerja yang simetris pada cetakan yang berputar. Oleh karena itu perlu dikaji lebih lanjut tentang pengaruh variasi kecepatan putar cetakan terhadap kualitas pengecoran alumunium yang meliputi sifat mekanik (kekerasan) dan struktur mikro. Variasi kecepatan yang dipilih sebesar 150 rpm, 180 rpm dan 200 rpm. Percobaan dilakukan dengan melihat hasil struktur mikro yang dihasilkan pada setiap variasi putaran terutama bagian penampang melintang produk cor. Selanjutnya dapat dilakukan pembahasan mengenai hubungan struktur mikro terhadap angka kekerasan setiap variasi putaran tersebut. Pada pengamatan struktur mikro, bentuk butir yang dihasilkan pengecoran centrifugal secara umum berbentuk equiaxed dan columnar dengan orientasi kemiringan sesuai dengan arah putaran mesin. Dari hasil uji kekerasan Vickers, terlihat bahwa variasi putaran 200 rpm menunjukkan angka kekerasan yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan variasi putaran lainnya. Kata kunci: pengecoran centrifugal, aluminium, kekerasan, struktur mikro.

Abstract

Teaching and Learning Strategies course is a compulsory subject in the course Chemical Education Department of Mathematics and Science Education Guidance and Counseling UNS with weights 2 credits. As a high school chemistry teacher candidates take courses relefan stock and standard and suit the needs of stakeholders, should have a pedagogical competence, personal competence, social competence, and professional competence (Act No. 14 th 2005 chapter IV of chapter 8-10) . This research aims to improve the quality of the learning process in the course of Teaching and Learning Strategies using the constructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) in the activities of Lesson Study. The study included a descriptive study. Data collection was carried out with observations on the activities of lesson study and observation results are set forth in the form of descriptive. The experiment was conducted on students participating in the course of Teaching and Learning Strategies odd semester 2010/2011 academic year in the course Chemical Education Guidance and Counseling University PMIPA Eleven Maret Surakarta (UNS). Activities conducted open lessons three times, with three times three times the Plan and Do (Open Lesson). Each lesson conducted open-end reflection. The result of the implementation of lesson study on the subject of Teaching and Learning Strategies by applying the constructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) concluded that the application of constructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) in Lesson Study activities to improve the quality of the learning process on Teaching and Learning Strategies course, this can be seen that the achievement of the final cycle is obtained: indicators of student achievement in working on student worksheet is 100%, the results of assessment of students' task of preparing the paper with a value greater / equal to B is 100%, liveliness student increase is 17.6% completed the first indicator, second indicator 32.4% complete and 100% complete the seven indicators, student affective value increase that value is greater/equal to B is 100% (no value C). Application of cons-tructivist approach through learning model Think-Pair-Share (TPS) in Lesson Study activities to improve learning outcomes of Teaching and Learning Strategies that students who obtain a value greater/equal to 70 (B) otherwise complete as much as 76.4%. Based on responses to questionnaires filled out by students learning at the end of learning, shows that the learning model used by researchers, received a positive response, so that students want lecturers to implement active learning in the classroom.

Abstract

The spatial distributions of tourist sites is one of basic components to formulating the tourism development policy based on their characteristics and promote tourist sites. GIS technology very helpfull to develop many kinds of sectors including tourism sectors. This research aims to map the distribution of tourist sites in Samosir District. The data used are compiled from observation and survey. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using Arc GIS software to obtain the map of tourist sites in Samosir District. The results reveals that almost 75 tourist attractions spread in 9 subdistricts in Samosir. Distribution of most sites is located mostly in the subdistrict of Simanindo and least in Sitiotio District. Tourism supporting infrastructure facilities such as hotels and other accommodations are also most in Simanindo District.

Abstract

Riset Unggulan Terpadu (RUT) merupakan kegiatan riset yang dilaksanakan dalam rangka pencapaian tujuan Sistem Iptek Nasional, dengan memadukan dan mendayagunakan sumberdaya manusia, dana, prasarana dan sarana yang tersedia, serta untuk meningkatkan mutu hasil riset dalam rangka pelaksanaan kegiatan riset unggulan dengan pendanaan yang wajar untuk memecahkan masaiah prioritas pembangunan sesuai dengan PUSNAS RISTEK. Riset Unggulan Terpadu telah berlangsung selama 7 kali, dan Tahun Anggaran 1999/2000 ini memasuki RUT ke VIII. RUT sudah bejalan sejak tahun 1993 dengan pengelola Kantor Menteri Riset dan Teknologi/BPP Teknologi. Mulai tahun 1996, melalui S.K. Menteri Negara Riset dan Teknologi NO. 18/M/Kp/XII/1996 tanggal 25 Desember 1996, Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia (LIPI) ditugasi sebagai pengelola pelaksanaan Riset Unggulan Terpadu (RUT). Selama tujuh tahun pelaksanaan RUT telah terjaring sebanyak 920 topik riset unggulan dan telah memasyarakatkan kebijakan satu pintu Kantor Menteri Negara Riset dan teknologi (KMNRT) dalam memanfaatkan dana APBN sektor 16. Pelaksanaan Program ini dapat diikuti oleh para peneliti dari Lembaga Pemerintah Non Departemen, Badan Penelitian dan pengembangan Departemen dan dari Universitas. Berbagai aturan yang berlaku bagi para peneliti yang mengajukan usulan riset telah diikuti dengan baik, sehingga terdapat keseragaman. Penyempumaan dalam menangani usulan riset masih terus dilakukan mengingat dinamika permasalahan baru selalu timbul, antara lain krisis moneter yang belum kunjung berhenti. Kesulitan memperoleh bahan baku industri, lemahnya daya beli masyarakat terhadap produksi yang dihasilkannya, serta ketersediaan bahan pangan dan obat-obatan yang merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia menjadi sesuatu hal yang selalu dipertanyakan masyarakat. Kelangkaan bahan baku produksi dan tingginya harga kedua bahan serta kesediaannya dipasar menjadi fokus utama program riset saat ini. Oleh karena itu, bidang/topik RUT saat ini yang merupakan kegiatan-kegiatan riset yang mengarah kepada upaya meningkatkan ketersediaan bahan baku dan bahan penolong sebagai substitusi impor serta pemenuhan bahan pangan dan obat-obatan dalam waktu relatif singkat merupakan prioritas utamalunggulan dalam RUT VIII.

Abstract

Electronic Sport abbreviated as Esport has a general meaning: an agility contest between individuals or groups that are not limited to physical activities and is carried out using tools that perform their functions electronically. This qualitative research aims to analyze the planning system (Planning), analyzing the organizing system (Organizing), analyzing the implementation system (actuating), analyzing the surveillance system (Controlling). This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were administrators, coaches, and athletes at the Cirebon Gaming Esport club. This study uses data collection techniques with methods of observation (observation), interviews (interviews), and documentation. Data analysis techniques using data triangulation, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results of this study are that the Cirebon Gaming Esport club has run proper organization management. In planning the Cirebon Gaming club, Esport plans activities for a period. In organizing the management together, carry out their respective duties and responsibilities. In the implementation of all members of the Cirebon Gaming Esport club together, help each other in carrying out activities that have been planned at the management meeting. At the supervision of the Cirebon Gaming Esport club conduct an evaluation after the activity is finished, the evaluation conducted will be reported at the end of the activity and sealed in the management.

Abstract

Gamma-ray tomography experiment has been carried out to detect the cross-sectional spatial patterns of test objects. The resulting image quality depends on the data collection and image reconstruction process. The images were built using filtered back projection algorithm. The filter in the algorithm affects the resulting image. It is necessary to know the proper filter when reconstructing image using the algorithm. Data were collected by scanning the object using the parallel beam method. Scanning configuration was set up to every 5 mm and 32 projections (rotational scans). The scanning system consists of mechanical parts, computerized control module, a gamma-ray source (2.96 GBq of Cs-137), a NaI(Tl) scintillation detector, data acquisition and computer. In this paper, the data were reconstructed into images using back projection and also filtered back projection algorithm to study effect of the filters. The filters discussed are Ramp filter, Shepp-Logan filter, Hann filter, Hamming filter, and Cosine filter. The reconstructed images results with filter were much better than without filter. The images with no filter did not represent the object cross-sectional spatial patterns and looked blurred. There were only solid objects represented by bright white and air represented by dark colors. The images using filter could distinguish object based on its density. Ramp filtered images looked like it was filled with freckles. Shepp-Logan filter produced smoother images than Ramp filter. Hann, Hamming, and Cosine filtered images were smoother than the others. Hann and Hamming filters produced higher resolution images regarding to recognizing density value. Hann filtered images also has the smallest standard deviation. Overall, Hann filter is recommended to be used to reconstruct images from projections.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed at revealing the effects of training on IgG using Randome Control Group Posttest-only design. Samples used in the study were 30 male white rats Rattus norvegicus Wistar strain which were divided into 3 groups: a control group, a group which was trained the moderate intensity swimming and the other which was trained the intensity exhaust swimming. The training was done at night three times a week for 8 weeks. The analysis of IgG used Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), while the analysis of data employed ANOVA. The result of the study showed that the IgG among the groups was significantly different (P <0.01). On the other hand, there was no significant difference (P> 0.01) between the groups which was trained the moderate intensity swimming and the control group. In conclusion, the training of moderate-intensity swimming increased the IgG.Key words:    moderate exercise, exercise exhaust, immunoglobulin G (IgG).Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap efek latihan terhadap IgG, dengan menggunakan racangan Randome Control Group Posttest-only Design. Sampel yang di-gunakan hewan coba tikus putih wistar rattus norvegicus strain jenis kelamin jantan sebanyak 30 ekor, yang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok: kelompok kontrol, latihan renang intensitas moderat dan latihan renang intensitas exhaust. Latihan dilakukan pada malam hari selama 8 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali/minggu. Analisis IgG menggunakan metode Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), sedangkan analisis data menggunakan uji beda anava. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan IgG antar kelompok (P<0,01). Sedangkan latihan renang intensitas moderat dengan kelom-pok kontrol tidak menunjukan perbedaan yang signifikan (P>0.01). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan renang dengan intensitas moderat meningkatkan IgG lebih tinggi dibanding dengan kelompok lainnya.Kata kunci:    latihan moderat, latihan exhaust, imunoglobulin G (IgG).

Abstract

This writing aims to gain the picture of profile in using of demographic bonus through increasing Human Development Index in the North Sumatra Province. It focus on local policy in utilizing the demographic bonus through elevating Human Development Index on several sectors such as education, health, and economy. Education sector coverage two indicators following Adult Literacy Rate Index (Lit) and Mean Years of Schooling Index (MYS). The population in this research is the citizen’s age group of 15 and more due to in fact that there many student dropout from the age group. The limitation is required for gain the representative number which is represents the fact, considering that citizen age group lower than 15 is still in schooling or preparing to school so it not apropriate to relying the years of schooling. Health sector indicate the numbers of years of life which  is hopefully can be enjoyed by the citizens in an area by entering information regarding annual birth rate and death rate (variable e₀), that assumed represents average of age of life and citizen healthy in their life. Economic sector (Proper Life Standard), the profile uses the average of the real per capita expenditure which is adjusted (adjusted real per capita expenditure) or purchasing power parity. Based on study of the three of human development index, can be obtained the data concerning the factual picture of local government profile in utilizing demographic bonus.
