Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop students worksheet based on multiple intellegences that is valid, practice and effective to improve students mathematical communication ability. This research follows Borg and Gall research. Data collection techniques in this research used are validation expert, the respons of students and mathematical communication ability test. The subject of research is students at the first semester of the 8th class at MTs N 4 Lampung Selatan in 2016/2017. Based on the analysis of data validation shows that the students worksheet by instructional design expert, material experts and students worksheet have good results. The respons of students over the students worksheet are easy to used and very interesting. The results obtained showes that the worksheets developed by learners can improve communication skills of learners based on minimum criteria of mastery learning and mathematical communication ability test. The results show that students worksheet based on multiple intellegences are valid, practice and effective to improve students mathematical communication ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis multiple intelligences yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti prosedur penelitian pengembangan Borg Gall. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah validasi ahli, respon peserta didik dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII semester ganjil MTs N 4 Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data validasi LKPD oleh ahli desain pembelajaran dan ahli materi, lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan memiliki validitas yang baik. Respon peserta didik terhadap lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan sangat baik yaitu sangat menarik dan mudah digunakan. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis peserta didik dilihat dari pencapaian KKM dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis multiple intelligences yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis, LKPD, Multiple intelligences

Abstract

The crowd of Yogyakarta urban has impacted its surrounding area, including Depok sub district, which is indicated by the rising of physical development, for example education facilities and settlements. The progress does not only bring positive impact, but also negative impact for instance the rising of crime number i.e. motor vehicle robbery. The aims of this research are 1) mapping motor vehicle robbery data as the distribution map and identifying motor vehicle robbery hot spot base on distrbution map; and 2) studying the correlation of motor vehicle robbery hot spot with physical environment phenomena, i.e. land use type and settlement pattern. The research method consists of two parts; they are motor vehicle robbery cluster analysis and the relation of motor vehicle robbery and physical environment analysis. Motor vehicle robbery cluster analysis is using distribution data, which analyzes the distribution into motor vehicle robbery hot spot with nearest neighbor tehnique. Contingency coefficient and frequency distribution analysis is used to analyze the correlation of motor vehicle robbery hot spot and physical environment. Contingency coefficient is used to study the relation of motor vehicle robbery hot spot polygon with physical environment condition, whereas frequency distribution is used to study the distribution of motor vehicle robbery in the hot spot with physical environment condition. Physical environment which consists of land use type, housing density, house regularity pattern, and the average of building size, are obtained from interpretation of black and white panchromatic aerial photograph year 2000, in the scale 1 : 20.000. the most motor vehicle robbery hot spot is found on the settlement area, 68,3% from 378 motor vehicle robbery cases in the hot spot. The seond level is found on the education area (16.4%). The most motor vehicle hot spot in the settlement is found on the hight density and irregular settlement, which have big size buildings. The calculation of contingency coefficient shows that there was a significant correlation between motor vehicle robbery hot spot with land use type and settlement pattern, but it has low correlation value. It means that land use type and settlement pattern have weak influence to the hot spot existence.

Abstract

Screening to genomic library of soybean cv. Lumut by using gene encoding for peroxidase (per) from A. thaliana as a probe has an objective isolate the whole gene of per from soybean. The probe was labeled by non-radioisotope alkalin phosphatase. Screening was done by two steps. The first, screening was done to 105 recombinant lambda phages containing genome of soybean cv. Lumut. After southern hybridization, positive signal of plaques were isolated and screened for the second time. After second screening, some recombinant lambda phages containing putatively per genes were isolated. Excision from recombinant lambda phages into recombinant plasmid was successfully done in Escherichia coli strain BM25.8. The plasmid DNAs were isolated from E. coli strain BM25.8 and introduced into E. coli strain DH5? for multiplication. Plasmid DNAs were digested by EcoRI and transferred onto nylon membrane hybond N+. Southern hybridization analysis showed that one clone, L10/R/3/4, contain per gene in the 7.7 kb EcoRI fragment. This fragment is inserted into pSportI.

Abstract

This research and development aimed to produce LKPD based on ALQURUN Teaching Model (ATM), and test their effectiveness on mathematical communication skills. The subjects of this study were students of grade VII Formal Junior High School 1 Purbolinggo in period of 2016/2017. Research data obtained by mathematical communication ability test. Characteristics of the LKPD based on ATM statistical materials developed by ATM syntax, they are the acknowledge, literature, quest, unite, refine, use, and name. The result of the expert validation indicated that LKPD based on ATM meets the content, media, and language feasibility standard and appropriate for using and included in good category. The results of initial field trials and field test results presented students mathematical communication skills using LKPD based on ATM, higher than the mathematical communication ability of students who do not use LKPD based on ATM. Therefore it can be concluded that LKPD part based on ATM be effective to improving students mathematical communication ability. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa LKPD berbasis ALQURUN Teaching Model (ATM), dan menguji efektivitasnya terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Purbolinggo Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Karakteristik LKPD berbasis ATM pada materi statistika dikembangkan berdasarkan sintaks ATM, yaitu acknowledge, literature, quest, unite, refine, use, dan name. Hasil validasi ahli menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis ATM telah memenuhi standar kelayakan isi, media, dan bahasa serta layak digunakan dan termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hasil uji coba lapangan awal dan hasil uji coba lapangan menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang menggunakan LKPD berbasis ATM lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang tidak menggunakan LKPD berbasis ATM. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis ATM efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, LKPD, ATM.

Abstract

The main objective this research is to develop effective, valid, and practical students worksheet in the terms of students mathematical communication ability. The population of this research was the whole 10th grade students in Senior High School 1 Bandar Lampung of the academic year 2016/2017. The development of students worksheet followed the procedure of Brog and Gall. Data collection techniques in this research used are validation expert, the respons of students and mathematical communication ability test. The result showed that students worksheet with the model of problem based learning had been the requirement and eligibility based on the material and media expert assessment. The result showed that the developed students worksheet could improve the ability of students in communicating mathematically that can be seen from the result of the communication test and the achievement of the students. Based on the research, developed students worksheet with problem based learning had been the criteria of being valid, practical and effective in improving the mathematical communicative ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKPD yang valid, praktis, dan efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 1 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pengembangan LKPD mengikuti prosedur Brog Gall. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah validasi ahli, respon peserta didik dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD dengan model Problem Based Learning telah memenuhi syarat dan standar kelayakan berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, dan media. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa LKPD yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dilihat dari pencapaian KKM dan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Abstract

Hoya multiflora is one of the valuable germplasm in Indonesia that has been utilized as ornamental and medicinal plant. This epiphytic plant faces problems in decreasing habitat. As a means for developing a habitat framework for describing the distributions and ecological relations of H.multiflora at Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, Bogor, Indonesia, ecological study of this species was established over the ranges of altitudes and characteristic vegetation structural types (primary and secondary forest, and plantation) present in the Park. Recognizing the fact that such study requires multidisciplinar y data, this paper explores the evidences from both herbarium sheets and field observations. The result of the study showed that the population of this species was only found at the Bodogol Research Station at elevation of 700 - 900 m above sea level (a.s.l.). Thus, the facts contradict with the evidence from the herbarium sheets of the Herbarium Bogoriense which have presumed that this species has a wide variation of altitudinal range from 20 to 1500 m a.s.l. (Indonesia) or 200 - 1400 m a.s.l. ( Java). The Bodogol’s population showed the clumped type of dispersion (Morisita’s Index = 1.35), which indicated such environment that was characterized by patchy resources. Direction and speed of wind coupled with the topography are ecological factors that affect to the distribution of this parachute typed seeds of the H.multiflora.

Abstract

The spectral analysis of surface waves (SASW) is an in situ non-destructive testing method. It has been developed and used for many years in the fields of geotechnical engineering and site characterization. It is typically used in evaluation of elastic moduli and layer thickness of soils, rocks and pavements. This method consists of wave generation, measurement and processing of dispersive Rayleigh waves. The stiffness profile of soil media or pavement systems are determined by fitting measured dispersion data with an adjustable theoretical model of the material that depends on layer thickness and elastic moduli. The best-fit stiffness profile is usually formed with optimization techniques.This paper presents an alternative analysis of the Rayleigh waves. This alternative analysis comprises four main steps (1) determine the range of frequencies based on the best coherence value, (2) determine the dominant frequency and wave cycle for wavelength (LR) calculations, (3) calculate the attenuation coefficient for each geophones spacing and plot it versus phase velocity (VR) to produce an exponential equation, and (4) calculate the shear wave velocity from the derived exponential equation.The alternative analysis was tested at three sites i.e. Kamsis H UKM, Bangi, Bandar Sri Putra and Sri Damansara. The analysis has successfully produced an empirical exponential curve for each site. For Bandar Sri Damansara site the exponential equation obtained is α=0.0084*e-0.0014Vs, for Bandar Sri Putra α=0.0094*e-0.0015Vs and for site at KamsisH UKM α=0.0035*e-0.0007Vs. The final profile of Vs versus depth obtained for each site is compared with those of the SASW inversion analysis and Standard Penetration Test data from borehole.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop teaching material of students worksheets that are valid, practical, and effective to improve the students understanding of mathematical concepts. The teaching material was developed based on multiple intelligences that include the characteristics of students and the material, that are visual-spatial and logical-mathematical intelligence. The students worksheet was developed to discover basic concepts by the intelligence of students. The research subjects were students of grade VII of second semester of SMPN 2 Merbau Mataram in academic year of 2015/2016. Based on the results of research, teaching material with visual-spatial intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence were valid, practical, and effective to improve students understanding of mathematical concepts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar dalam bentuk lembar kerja peserta didik yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik. Bahan ajar tersebut dikembangkan berbasis multiple intelligences yang memuat karakteristik peserta didik dan materi yang diajarkan yaitu kecerdasan visual-spasial dan logis-matematis. Lembar kerja peserta didik yang dikembangkan mengarahkan peserta didik untuk menemukan konsep dasar menggunakan kecerdasan peserta didik. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII semester genap SMPN 2 Merbau Mataram tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tingkat keberhasilan pelaksanaan Rintisan Sekolah Bertaraf Internasional (RSBI) di SMP Negeri 3 Purworejo. Penelitian evaluasi ini menggunakan model Contex Input Process Product (CIPP). Subjek penelitian meliputi: kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, urusan kurikulum, koordinator RSBI, semua guru mata pelajaran, pustakawan, laboran, staf tata usaha, dan representasi peserta didik. Objek penelitian ini berkenaan dengan dimensi Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP) dan dimensi Standar Mutu Bertaraf Internasional (RSBI), yang meliputi: 1) variabel konteks; 2) variabel input (Standar Isi, Standar Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan, Standar Sarana dan Standar Pembiayaan); 3) variabel proses (Standar Proses, Standar Pengelolaan, dan Standar Penilaian); 4) variabel produk (Standar Kompetensi Lulusan). Data dikumpulkan melalui angket dan kajian dokumen dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keberhasilan pelaksanaan RSBI di SMPN 3 Purworejo untuk setiap variabel adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Konteks rerata 81,16% termasuk kategori baik. 2) Input, untuk SNP baik (82,13%) untuk RSBI cukup (66,56%): a) Standar Isi, untuk SNP baik (84,88%) untuk RSBI cukup (72,92%); b) Standar Pendidik dan Tenaga Kependidikan, untuk SNP cukup (70,54%) untuk RSBI kurang (55,32%); c) Standar Sarana dan Prasarana, untuk SNP sangat baik (92,34%) untuk RSBI baik (83,62%); d) Standar Pembiayaan, untuk SNP sangat baik (87,50%) untuk RSBI cukup (65,08%). 3) Variabel Proses, untuk SNP sangat baik (89,18%) untuk RSBI baik (77,24%): a) Standar Proses, untuk SNP baik (82,72%) untuk RSBI cukup (73,10%); b) Standar Pengelolaan, untuk SNP sangat baik (90,95%) untuk RSBI baik (81,00%); c) Standar Penilaian, untuk SNP sangat baik (93,99%) untuk RSBI baik (76,29%). 4) Variabel Produk: Standar Kompetensi Lulusan, untuk SNP baik (79,69%) untuk RSBI baik (80,37%). Secara umum tingkat keberhasilan pelaksanaan RSBI di SMP Negeri 3 Purworejo, untuk dimensi SNP termasuk kategori baik (84,24%). Abstract

Deposition of calcium carbonat (CaCO3) in coral skeleton is known as calcification. The calcification rate is the product of the linear extension rate and the average density at which skeleton was deposited in making that extension. Calcification rate is influenced by the ambient water condition e.g sea surface temperature. To understand the influence of SST to the coral growth, it is required long time series data of both SST and coral growth i.e coral calcification from present time till back tens to hundreds years ago. The aim of this study is to determine the influence of historical SST to coral calcification of Porites coral from Biak waters.  In this study, computer tomography approach is used to analyzed coral calcification. Osirix software is used to analyze the coral image data which is resulted from the computed tomography scanning (CT-Scan). Four coral cores from Biak waters were analyzed for their calcification rate. The results shows that the averaged of calcification rate of four cores increases, which is coincided with increasing of Biak SST during period of 1905-2011. ABSTRAKKemampuan koral mengendapkan kalsium karbonat (CaCO3) dikenal sebagai kalsifikasi. Kecepatan kalsifikasi  merupakan perkalian densitas dan pertumbuhan linear koral tersebut. Kecepatan kalsifikasi koral dipengaruhi oleh kondisi perairan terumbu karang salah satunya adalah suhu permukaan laut (SPL). Untuk memahami bagaimana pengaruh SPL terhadap kalsifikasi koral diperlukan data historis (data urut-urutan waktu) SPL dan kalsifikasi koral dari masa kini sampai masa lalu. Tujuan utama dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejarah pengaruh SPL terhadap pertumbuhan koral yaitu kalsifikasi dari koral Porites perairan Biak. Dalam studi ini dihitung kecepatan kalsifikasi dengan menggunakan pendekatan tomografi koral dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Osirix. Hasil scanning computer tomografi (CT-Scan) koral merupakan data inputing Osirix. Empat contoh koral dari perairan Biak dilakukan analisis kecepatan kalsifikasi.  Hasil rata-rata kecepatan kalsifikasi dari ke empat contoh koral Porites Biak menunjukkan kenaikan kecepatan kalsifikasi koral yang selaras dengan kenaikan SPL selama periode 1905-2011.
